Seeing Marilyn McCoo and Billy Davis Jr. live has me smiling like a school boy all evening. Not only did they sing their timeless hits, but delved a bit into songs i never expected to hear live, like "The Declaration". My friend and I giggled with glee and sang along to the "Solid Gold " theme, and shed some tears to amazing renditions of "Macarthur Park" and "Hey Jude". The vocals were AMAZING. Marilyn was showing us her octave range, and Billy Davis Jr. took us to church. The crowd was singing and clapping and thoroughly enjoying themselves. If you hear that these two are in town, don't hesitate to get a ticket.

What an amazing show! Their voices are as good as ever.....maybe better. Marilyn was beautiful in her gorgeous gowns and outfits. They spoke to the audience and shared information about their lives and songwriters, etc. They have been married for 45 years and their love still glows for each other. They made you feel as if they were talking and singing to you personally. We could barely sit still listening the great music and memorable songs. At the end we were dancing in the aisles! Run....do not walk to their next performance!

It was a great show in a great venue. The show was a little scripted and not very spontaneous. Not much audience interaction. Marilyn and Billy sounded great and they still have it! It was nice to see a married couple in entertainment that have been together so long.

The best show I have seen this year! Unbelievable! Do not miss these fine performers if they come near you. The theater was about half sold. What? This should have been at an arena completely sold out. Go Billy and Marilyn!!!

If you look under the words 'elegant' and 'gracious' in the dictionary, you'll find 'Marilyn McCoo' in the description - and under 'charmer', 'Billy Davis Jr'. This couple have never lost their sparkle or ability to conjure up musical magic. From the start of their show to the very last note, Marilyn and Billy were superb. Billy told the audience about his time in the Army, singing RnB covers in Europe in the early 60's while Marilyn recalled her time on a local TV station before they teamed up as '5th Dimension'. The on-stage banter was well rehearsed and polished which only added to the performance. I would encourage anyone to go and see them - I was sorry when the show was over.

What a fabulous show!! Loved everything about Marilyn McCoo & Billy Davis Jr.'s performances. The back up band and chorus were fabulous, as well. It was so fun to listen to their oldies and covers. It was particularly moving when Billy Davis Jr. performed "Change is Gonna Come" and his tribute to the civil rights movement.

If you love the music by the 5th Dimension you will be in heaven at this show. They sang all there hits plus a Beatles tribute. Even mixed in some Gospel songs. When Marilyn sang One less to answer the place went nuts. She still has her voice and good looks. Billy Davis Jr. can still get it on with his vocals. The band was great and the backup singers were right on with there harmonies. But Marilyn McCoo steals the show. A special guest was in the audience . Lamonte McLemore one of the original 5th Dimension. I took his picture and shook his hand and thanked him. What a show. Thank you.

Great show, they both sound great. Did the oldies, their big hits, a Beatles medley and walked us through their singing careers. The back-up singers were great and the musicians were equally outstanding. Plenty of standing ovations. One of the best concerts/shows I've ever attended.

My husband and I are life long fans of R&B from the 60s and 70s. We traveled from Seattle to see this show. The musical performance itself was easily 5 stars. Marilyn McCoo & Billy Davis Jr. sang their hearts out and we felt fortunate to have seen them in person. The only part of the show that fell short of our expectations was at the end when there was a slide show depicting the civil rights struggle for African Americans. I myself am African American and found it hard to see the moral equivalency of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., and the acts of Michael Brown (images of both were shown). Turning around during the show I saw the faces of a predominately white audience with uncomfortable expressions...and I don't blame them. It felt a bit awkward and politically charged in my opinion. We came for the music not the political messaging. I do not believe that the performers had ill intention. Perhaps a better approach would be to let the audience know it's black history month and this part of the show pays homage to those who have sacrificed so much on our behalf. Also, I personally would leave out the slides of Trayvon Martin and Michael Brown whose deaths may have been tragic but who were by no means role models.

This was a wonderful show (A 5 star) until they got into politics and civil rights. I go to shows to be entertained and get away from all this political stuff. I just wish entertainers would stick to their craft!

I saw the original 5th dimension in Las Vegas in the late 60's. They were great. I saw these two at the Cerritos Performing Arts Center 10 years ago. They were unbelievable. Last week they were terrible. They forgot that most people want to hear the songs that they made unforgettable. They are not the Beatles. Why sing 4 of their songs?(poorly). They are not Richard Harris. Why butcher his greatest song. Finally, I did not pay to be lectured about Black History. I expected more from two such great performers. I will always love their songs but will never go to see them again.

This show was outstanding. To think that 50 years ago, Marilyn McCoo and Billy Davis Jr. were in their prime and now continue to sing exactly as if we were hearing them for the first time. PERFECTION. I loved every single second of the performance. Each, in their own right, can sing solo and they did. Adding a backup group to their great song standards just made it a wonderful evening. I admire their stamina as they performed for over an hour and a half. They both enjoy performing and it is contagious in the room. Recommend Highly to see them perform.

Seeing the magnitude and the longevity of Marilyn and Billy, with the addition the New Dimensions to the ensemble. I was surprised I got a seat at the American Theater. How can you rate an all-star performance? Their voices, elegance and stage presentation, was truly amazing and I pray that supporters young and old will continue to recognize their wealth of their talents and pack the venues.

What a great show this was. Old school class and charm with a completely contemporary sound and look. The crowd gave them several standing ovations. They both still sound amazing. The Trop needs to bring them back soon!

I was surprised that they were still doing shows or that they were still in the business. I was curious to see them and I love the oldies. I was pleasantly surprised . Their voices have held up, especially Marilyn's, such a high range with those notes. A little grayer , but who isn't, LOL! They have new backup, The new Dimension and their voices blended in nicely with Marilyn's and Billy's. I enjoyed the show very much, sad to see it end.

What a great concert! Their voices were outrageous. Great seats, and like the venue. Had a wonderful evening. Next dimension backup singer did a great job and really tight band. Also added old photos of past group events. Really nice touch. Loved hearing all those 5th Dimension favorites!

Show started 25 minutes late but it was up up and away from there. A 90 minute walk down memory lane with two still powerful voices. Expected Marilyn to be excellent and she was butwas blown aaway by the power and smoothness of Billys voice at 77 years old. Keep Rocking

Being a major 5th Dimension fan I was excited that after waiting for years Marilyn and Billy finally came to New York. I have to say the show was fantastic. They both sound great and did all the hits except "if I Could Reach You " which I should of yelled out between songs. The band was very good and being in the business for so long they really know how to entertain. They performed other songs and had a great repoire with the audience. A nice part was their telling the audience their background and what they did since leaving the 5th Dimension. A major highlight was their arrangement of "Mccarther Park" which was amazing and worth the price of the show alone! Go see them!

Marilyn and Billy sounded great and looked even better. The show was very enjoyable and worth the ticket. My only complaint was the second half songs were a little slow and sad. Would have rather they sung more songs from their era. But they were great in looks and sound. I would see them again!

It is nice to attend a show where the act doesn't need special effects and gimmicks to have a nice evening. Marilyn and Billy's show was successful because of their great voices, and great performance skills. Not to mention that they have one of the best catalogs in modern music. From the timeless songs of their days with the Fifth Dimension up through their own solo successes, the show was a nice representation of their careers.

Both Marilyn McCoo and Billy Davis, Jr. are still in exceptional form, so don't let that stop you from attending one of their shows. As mentioned above, the show is structured like a revue you might see in Vegas or Branson, the show starting with video highlights from the duo's long career. The first half is essentially the two of them going through their history, with a lot of banter and medleys (one critique of the show is that they seemed to give some of their bigger hits short shrift by only doing snippets of them). After a fifteen minute intermission (which caused a bit of confusion since they waited a couple of minutes before announcing it after the first half, making people wonder if the show was over) the second half of the show has them doing familiar hits as well as some nice covers and, again, medleys (the Beatles one was very nice). They were backed by a very capable band and three backup singers billed as "The Next Dimension", who were also quite good. I'm not sure if it was the venue or the show itself, but I wish there were better production values than a small screen and an office-grade projector for the visuals. Another thing that struck me was the somewhat strange montage during the finale of "The Way We Were". Showing pictures of them with Nixon, Bush Sr. and Pope John Paul II (all separately, not together), gave things a weird political/religious tone that was a little uncomfortable.

This wonderful couple were older, but like wine, even better than ever. They did their old songs and than added a Beatle section of tunes and many other old favorites. My wife and I have gone to 100 different shows of stars over the years and I can say this is in the top 3. An absolutely beautiful show.

I wasn't sure what to expect as I had not seen Marilyn McCoo and Billy Davis Jr in a long time. My expectation was that in their 70's they probably lost a little something in their singing but that I would still enjoy the show and it would be good to see them again. What I did see and hear blew me away. They sounded great. Their voices have lost nothing. They were as strong as they ever were. I don't even understand how that is possible. The show was tight. The musicians were excellent. The song selection was full of their hits as well as other popular songs that they did a wonderful job on.

The show was amazing. They can still sing. I couldn't believe they played for so long. They did a great job with the Beatles tribute as well. Really resonated with the audience. They didn't need to recant the Martin Luther King, Jr and John F. Kennedy days. I get they (and most of us in the audience) lived through those times, but while I just turned 60 I would hope everyone is past the segregation times. Too bad the Wilbur Theater is so uncomfortable. It really takes away from some of the shows

My wife and I thought their performance was great. I saw them when they were with the 5th Dimension in the early 70s and we were able to see Marilyn as an opener (we thought she should have been the headliner) in Lake Tahoe. It was great to see how well they performed after all these years. We thought Billy Davis has actually improved with age. They had a great blend of old and new arrangements. The music they were able to provide with two guitars, a drummer, and keyboard was surprising. Their interaction with the audience was great and it was enjoyable for them to have shared some of the moments that were special to them throughout their career. Marilyn still has a great stage presence and can really sing which is unlike some other performers who didn''t know when it was time to quit. I don't think the notice of them coming to town was that widely spread. I only heard about it two days before the performance and was surprised to see I could get seats. I felt badly for Marilyn and Billy that there was not a greater turn out for such outstanding performers. It may have been a lack of notice to the public.
