St. Petersburg Bowl

I purchased my first event ticket through ticketmaster online and when I get to my seat I find out it is an obstructed view of the field. The whole 1/5th of the left side of the field obstructed by espn cameras and risers for the cameras. At no point did anything say why the first 10 rows in from of me were sold out. Now I know why.. espn took them. I had to move after the game started to an open seat elsewhere so I could watch the game.

The events surrounding the bowl (block parties, pep rallies & band performances) are better organized and publicized than in previous years. The set-up of Tropicana Field for football was more refined this year than in previous ones.

I was staying in the second level section 214 row A. There were not enough bathrooms for men, escalator was always going in the opposite direction of what I was wanting to go. Prices were expected high. The field looked like crap. It was actually embarrassing.

Overall I did not find this event that enjoyable and probably would not attend again. Reasons include: 1. Entry process was confusing and long. We were standing out in the area outside the field int he dark waiting for a security checkpoint. It seemed very makeshift to me. 2. Staffing appeared to be very minimal. For somebody not that familiar with the venue it was difficult to find your way around. 3. Venue itself was not the best for football. As a UCF season ticket holder Brighthouse Stadium is a much better facility. Seats seemed so far away from the action. 4. And of course it didn't help my team lost.
