I attended the isles draft party, and the whole building was shaking with the chants of "TAVARES"!!!!! I enjoyed it they had some old islander players like Mike Bossy, Billy Nystrom, etc. they were signing autographs. They brought the flags down fromn the ceilings which was a nice touch and good to take pictures with, and the father and kids free pictures were nice, and the locker room tour- which had an extremely long line. But the t- shirts should of been free and they should hae free refreshments. Overall it was great!

THE 2009 ISLANDERS DRAFT PARTY WAS GREAT. It was hosted by CJ PAPA. The event included a recap of the 2008 - 2009 Seasons greatest plays and Doug Weights 1,000th career point Milestone. The best part was the Islanders had the first pick and they selected John Tavares the NHL's number one prospect.

The Islanders draft party was a good time. The drive to get there wasnt so good though. it took 2 and a half hours from central Jersey but as a fan it was worth it. I can write about all the positives all night but there is one negative that stands out. This is not a MAJOR isuue but should be known. my kids joined this thing called " kids club". The kids club spun a wheel that you win prizes or even Islanders tickets. Well, here comes the big downfall. The girl that was working that wheel was " cheating". she was using her fingers behind the wheel to stop it when she wanted it stopped. Ok minor stuff but not really. That is cheating kids and fans. That wheel must of spun 6,000 times that night and no tickets were handed out. What a coincidence. Well I contacted the Islanders and all I got was a runaround. Call me ....call me ...call me....why just answer my email ? Are they going to talk me into not believing what i've seen ? Well that isnt happening. I thought i'd like to share this with others and if anyone else seen this let it be known. Thats cheating and thats not cool ,especially with kids. that was supposed to be a fun time so why did I leave disgusted. Anyway the Isles put on a great show but one rotten apple had to spoil it. By the way Kids club....Thanks for the pencil after that hour wait on line. You got me .....this time only !

This was the best Draft Party I have been to for such a long time. To see all the fans waiting for that moment when Garth and Mr. Wang went up to the podium and picked our number one draft pick. The place was going crazy. The fans were hugging and clapping so hard. What a great night. A little crazy at times but it was worth it. Love the buys on the mercandise. Of course I went shopping. Got some great deals. The lines were long so you can see everyone wanted something to remember this draft party.

Garth Snow made everyone in the NHL wait to find out who they were going to pick with their number one pick. After hearing the name "John Tavares" as their selection, 10,000 plus fans went louder then any Islander goal scored since 1985. I am very happy with this selection, the crowds enthususiam and the progress of the organization. Hopefully soon, we can see a stanley cup brought back home where it belongs.

The Excitement was at full speed until the chaos became full bloom. No one knew what was going on. Where and how do we sit. Only a few food stands where open and the lines were a mile long. We ended up waiting to eat until we left. That was not good for your business. I hope that next time more thought will go into how to keep the fans coming back for more. We left right after the 2nd draft.

Brought my son and dad out for the Draft party. It was incredible, when Garth Snow says :...John T.." the place exploded. We have been fans since 1972 and my son (13) go to hear and feel that excitement I felt as a kid, back in 1980. Hey, both my kids know the real words to the "Chicken Dance", since they could speak, loud and proud!!!! We had such a great feeling, we are on the way up! Especailly with moving up in the draft to get de Haan. That was a extra kicker for us! Seeing Bobby Ny, Trots and Jackman was a treat. We saw lots of old friends and made new ones!! Great party! Next time, we'll get together like, we'll hoist the Stanley CUP on Hempstead Turnpike!!!! Keep up the great work, we are behind you 100% Been that way since 1972. The isles are the only team we follow. Can't wait for training camp to start!!!! We're BAAAAACK!!!!!! LET"S GO ISLANDERS!!!!!!!!

We sat three rows from the glass for a steal, the fans were amazing, the seats are comfortable - at MSG I always feel like I'm sitting on someones lap, but at the Coliseum I felt that I could stretch my legs a bit. All for free, I got to meet and shake hands with T.V. broadcasters I see every night cover the games, Touch the lowered banners of Islander all-stars whose numbers have been retired, touch one of the four Championship banners, get a picture with a hot ice-girl, stand on the actual rink where countless Islander players have skated the team to victory, and celebrate the Number One Draft Pick, John Tavares who beat Wayne Gretzky's records in the junior leagues. The atmosphere was amazing and I even got to speak briefly with Bob Nystrom, the man whose goal started it all for the New York Islanders with his Overtime goal back in 1980 to win the first of four consecutive Stanley Cup Championships. The Islanders are headed towards another dynasty with a young and very talented team!

Since the Islanders move to Barclay's Center in Brooklyn, fans have been waiting for this event for a long time - to see the Islanders come back and play in their hometown arena. Even though this was a pre-season game, the event felt like they were playing for the Stanley Cup. The afternoon started with the current Islanders taking to the 'stage' for which they received a standing ovation with people chanting in support of their hometown team and then led to honoring those of the old Stanley Cup days, such as Billy Smith, Bobby Nystrom and Clark Gillies who came to the game. It was a fantastic showing of the Islanders and they definitely kept the fans in suspense. The Flyers put up a good fight, but the Islanders pulled off the victory in overtime with a Tavares goal! The event then ended with fans chanting, "Bring them back! Bring them back!" in unison. I was also one of those fans chanting the same! Islanders...come back home!

For those of us long-time fans, it was an emotional experience having the Islanders back on the ice where they hoisted the cup. It was a preseason game that had the energy of a playoff game. Everyone was happy to be out of Brooklyn and it showed. The coliseum had a fresh coat of paint, some new seats, 3,000 fewer however, and a new facade, but otherwise was the same. Other than the inner walkway, there were no new noticeable changes to improve the customer's experience. Still too few bathrooms, too few food vendors and too few shops for Isles gear. There was a nice pre-game set-up outside with vendors, food trucks and a great band. The line for the Islanders gear tent should be a good indicator that if the Isles ever come back, they will need several shops inside. Otherwise it was a great game. I'm glad I was able to bring my girls to experience Isles hockey where it should be.

I'm sure you've probably heard many polarizing reviews about the hockey experience at the Barclay's Center, but I assure you, the experience can be cozy and enjoyable. My seats in section 225 gave me a full view of the ice at an economic price and the Islanders put on a fantastic performance against a fantastic team. The staff was courteous and cooperative, the seats were comfy and the sight-line was very nice. The entry into the arena needs to be improved, it's a slow and tedious process and it needs to be addressed, it took us nearly a half hour just to enter the arena.

The best seats in the NHL are in Sections 3 and 29. The odd configuration of the arena make for some great seats in these 2 sections. You have the height of the 18th row but are as close as the 3rd or forth row. You are above the glass, so you get no distortion from the glass. You can hear the players call for the puck or instructions to the other players. The front rows have no obstructions at all. The third row, which is row 20 you may have to stand to see the puck in the near corner, no big deal. You can get great deals on theses seats most night. The players come right out from under section 29 to start the periods.

I'm a Maple Leafs fan but have also become a new Islander fan as an additional team since they moved to Brooklyn. The Barclay Center was first class, especially the staff. I have attended three Islander games so far at the Barclay Center and all three were free of disruptive fan behavior against their fellow fans which is great, unlike at Madison Square Garden where bad fans ruin the experience for good fans. Hopefully this continues during the upcoming season. The presentation was great as was the arena. I would love to attend more summer hockey games at the Barclay Center.

I enjoyed my time at the stadium. Food was awesome, service was excellent. The stadium looked awkward for hockey. My seats were good but I walked around the stadium. First of all, there are no bad seats at the Barclay Center. The open plan model works really well for sporting events. We treated ourselves to seats close to the ice, but the layout works for all budgets. The food options are amazing. Cuban Sandwich? Got it. Mexican? Got it. Kosher? Got it (but not on Friday nights, which is understandable). Junior's cheesecake? Got it! The staff is obviously hired for their great personalities and professionalism. They add to the fun of being there, because they are so incredibly nice. I cannot wait for my Islanders to move to the Barclay Center permanently. I do live in Brooklyn, but I would make the trip from Nassau County, too, if I had to. Of course, the game was pretty awesome, and the Islanders won in a shoot out against the Devils, pre-season. Nice way to start the NHL year! Kudos to the Islanders, and to the team at the Barclay Center. Oh, and did I mention that pretty much every train in the city goes there? Because they do. :)

What a game! My first time to a hockey game and I got 9 goals and a fight out of it. Great experience. Everyone should definitely go see the islanders play.

Did you know the NHL Mascots will autograph anything? Well they do! These characters brought a level of "entertainment" to that game that we often overlook in the pursuit of cheering our team onto playoffs. At any given time you could see a random mascot in the stands, taking photo graphs or simply cheering for themselves. This day offered Sparky (Islanders); Blades (Bruins), Howler (Coyotes); Slapshot (Capitals); Bernie (Avalanche); Carlton (Maple Leafs); Spartacat (Senators), Gnash (Nashville) and Louie (St. Louis). Wish they could have days like this more often! Great for both kids and adults!

We had a great. We are Islanders fans so it was disappointed to see them loose, but just to be there in person cheering your team, it's what being a fan is all about. Overall we had a good time.

Despite being a NY Rangers fan, it was an easy decision to attend this hockey game in enemy territory. Blues vs Isles turned out to be a great hockey game, criminally decided by a skills competition. Most importantly though, this particular game happened to be the NHL Mascot Day! With 9 mascots in attendance it was guaranteed to be a plushtastic experience. Howler of the Phoenix Coyotes was worth the price of admission alone but he was joined by Bernie of the Avalanche, Carlton of the Leafs, Gnash of the Predators, Louie of the Blues, Slapshot of the Capitals, Spartacat of the Senators, Blades of the Bruins, and of course Sparky of the Isles. There was mascot mayhem 90 minutes prior to the game straight through to the end. Brilliant. Tickets included a free drink and pretzel. $25. Awesome. Mascots should rule the World because people suck.

We saw a good came but the Islanders could not finish the game in overtime. But coming from Europe (Holland) we had a good time during the game.

I got there early and checked everything out. The concourse is great lots of food options and the lower bowl in the non-obstructed view areas was great. The 200s is different the obstructed views are brutal and when sitting up high in the regular seats all you would see is the back of the persons head in front of you which is quite frustrating when you're there to watch hockey. Unless some major changes are made I will be going to a lot fewer games because I go to watch the sport not dandruff grow on Joe Schmos head in front of me.

Game was a typical preseason game. Arena was very nice but seats were not, for hockey. Arena was very dark. Hockey sounds could not be heard. Acoustics need help. Cup holders are on the floor and cause people to trip. Tripping on very steep isle is recipe for disaster. Upper level concourse was worse than coliseum during intermission. I don't know how main concourse was.

I just can't wait until the Isles move here! While the ice surface was not great, hopefully that will be corrected by the time the team is here for good.

Although the Islanders fell short, it was obvious from the opening face-off they were the better team and deserved a better fate. The Pens caught some lucky bounces and sometimes that's all you need. The most important accomplishment is that this season restored much needed credibility to a franchise that has too long been the laughing stock of the league. If we can sign a top-tier goalie and gain some formidable size on 'D', rival fans will have no choice but to take notice of this emerging contender. Definitely looking forward to next season. LET'S GO ISLANDERS!

Great venue and great crowd minus the idiot in section 228 pounding a drum all night long. Not a soccer game, entitled group that need to be put in check. You would think this group owns the place.

Islanders game was great and TM delivers tickets in a timely and efficient manner. Barclays is another story. The sight lines are not good. I was on blue line in section 106 row 4-aisle. The handrail for section completely blocked goalie! I would take Nassau Coliseum in a heartbeat. By the way, my seat was not marked as obstructed! Players were falling on the ice constantly.
Webster Bank Arena is difficult to get to once the traffic built up. Definitely leave early for this venue. Our seats were in the last row. Row W. it was obstructed seating as there was a railing just at eye level. As you are looking down at the ice, that game was never actually obstructed, just your view of the Jumbotron was. Would totally go again. Nice hockey arena.
What can I say there where only a few ranger players that where there it was like going to the wolf pack soundtigers game but more expensive they charges 20.00 to park and expensive tix I will never go to a pre season game there again
I mistakenly bought tickets for this game without realizing that it was in Bridgeport, Connecticut. I left Brooklyn at 4 PM. It took 4 hours to get there. It was a terrible mistake on my part. The arena was nice, small and our seats were good but never again. Because we got there and the 1 st period was just about ending, we parked on the 5th level of the garage. When the game was over, it took over an hour to get out of the garage. There was no traffic help on the 3 rd to 5th levels, so we had to wait until every car left the levels below us.
when purchasing the seats for the NYR/Islanders preseason game i dont believe it was it disclaimed that they were obstructed view until i downloaded the app to get the tickets ready. My seats were in row W (last row, OK thats all i could find with 2 seats together) but after we got there row W doesn't even exist. it must be their standing section where they put some fold out chairs and wrote row W on the ground. was less then pleased to have my wife who is pregnant sit in this tight uncomfortable chair. looking at tickets now for sound tiger games you cant even purchase the row W for any game
The game was great, it was a great way to see an NHL game close to home. however, the arena was not prepared for the crowd it drew. The game was sold out several days after tickets went on sale. The arena had plenty of time to prepare. Food lines were over an hour long, food could not be made fast enough. The prices were inflated a lot, much higher than Soundtiger games.
