My wife and I went to the show as part of our wedding anniversary and I have to say we are extremely pleased with how we spent our evening. Eddie is definitely in the prime of his career. His performance was superb from beginning to end. The laughs were non-stop. The private setting in the King's Room was an excellent touch. Definitely a must-see show!

I have seen this show at the Rio twice now. The first time it was a great show and I could not wait to go back. It is definitely an adult show but I liked that. This time when we saw the show we did not like it. He had some funny pone liners but overall he seemed very angry. He was upset about the Trayvon Martin verdict and went on about it for some time. Once that happened he never recovered. The rest of the show took on a very angry undertone and seemed more like personal venting time then a comedy show. At on point he was very inappropriately hitting on the wife of someone in the audience. Everyone else could see that it was inappropriate and it got really awkward. You could tell how upset her husband was getting but he just kept going and them insulted the fact that her husband was native american. I would not see the show again and I would not recommend that anyone else see it either.

Husband and I were skeptical about going to the show not knowing what to expect....we went....and we were so glad we did. We laughed so hard for almost 2 hours.....eddie never ran out of current topics......it was hysterical!! Our stomachs were sore from laughing so hard!!

I was excitedc to see Eddie as I have totally enjoyed him on TV. The King's Room at Rio was very very small. If you bought a seat in the "rear", you were around a corner and culd hardly see him. Mr Griffin drank through his whole act and by the end I could hardly understand him. It's $80 and 2 hours I will never get back.

Besides the venue being cramped as hell, Eddie put on a funny, great, entertaining show. Glad I wasn't sitting in the front row as he chained smoked the entire show. Might want to add that before people purchase the tickets. Would have hated for someone to have had an asthma attack! Great show!

Eddie sucked. Was wasted and annoying and I usually like him. Turned into an autobiography where he talked about his life and stopped telling jokes. Painful. Best part by far was him making fun of idiots in the crowd who were trying to talk to him mid act. We left early.

Went here on a random Tuesday Night in Vegas, and I must say good things come in small packages. The King's Room is a small room on the first level in the Rio Hotel & Casino and this is where you can find Eddie every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. His show is jam packed with laughter to the point of tears. He is down to earth and speaks the truth. Do not be alarmed he gets his drank and smoke on throughout the show, but this only makes him more funny. Enjoyed every moment of the show.

'EG' is the best stand-up comedian out there today...dude is HILARIOUS! And he is definitely a comedian that you don't want to heckle...extremely sharp on the fly. Of all the comedians out there today, I can't think of any who have been consistently funny for as many consecutive years. His material is too raw for the mainstream...especially his social commentary..."Chris Rock" on steroids :-).

the show was great but the management ruined the show. the threatened everyone in line they will throw you out if you talk . the manager walked around very loudly told patrons they had one chance or they had to leave. i couldn't even hear people talking and she would stomp in point fingers and threaten. took alot away from the $75 a piece tickets purchased. Even the opened act said that we were a dry crowd. then someone yelled we were threatened not to be loud about anything. yep he got a finger in the face and talking too.

I took my son to see Eddie Griffin for his birthday. We attended the August 1 show. Eddie was fantastic. Had us in stitches for two hours and fifteen minutes. It is so tough to do old school humor without offending people and Eddie walks that line well. Definitely not PC but not offensive either. A true master class in old school comedy.

Attended Eddie Griffin show on Monday, July 31, 2017 at the King room in the Rio casino in Las Vegas. I have attended shows by comedians from Cedric the Entertainer and Dave Chappelle to D.L. Hughley and Kat Williams. Eddie Griffin's was the worse by far. Not only was the monologue lacking, the venue is a small bar room in an outdated casino that feels as if you are in a slum. Not at all what I expected for a $133 VIP seat that turned out to be a wooden-backed chair similar to a chair in a cheap dinette set. He is paranoid and wants your phone to be turned off (not muted/silenced) which because this is not explained when purchasing a ticket. The manager of the Rio says its because he is paranoid someone will hijack his monologue (for what?). Therefore, if you are a physician, nurse, or other professional who needs to be able to receive a text message I would suggest you not go to this show. If you also respect women, you shouldn't attend either as some of his profane attacks on audience members were totally inappropriate.

We went for my husband's birthday and it really doesn't matter where your seats are, you're so close to Eddie, it's great! Obviously you can get his seats that are right up front but be prepared for him to call you out, lol. He was hilarious and I would definitely go back and see him again and again! Eddie Griffin is hilarious!! My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the show! It's a smaller venue so it felt up close and personal. There were 2 opening acts before Eddie came on...Richard Pryor's son which was almost painful to watch cause nobody was laughing........at all. He has the potential to be funny but not quite their yet. The other guy was funny, but I don't remember his name. We bought VIP tickets which entitles you to a meet & greet after the show, but you still have to pay $50 for a picture with Eddie, which we did. All in all, a good show!! I recommend it!

Loved seeing Eddie Griffin. He had us laughing the entire night. I would go back to see him - ONLY. The MC for the night was good. I didn't expect the opening acts to be there - but okay. Richard Pryor's son - wow - not like his father at all. Sorry for him. Not good. Maybe he will get better. Why is he there? I am sure there are other talented comedians out there. I questioned if I would like the show. It felt very amateurish - not for the $ paid - until Eddie came on the stage. My night was rescued. Thank you Eddie! I'd give you 5 stars but because I had to sit through that other crap ... 3 stars.

The opening comedians were funny. Eddie was hilarious. His routine is so funny because he says the things we think, but are too "politically correct" to say. This setting made you feel as though you were sitting in the living room talking with him. It was my birthday and although we had VIP tickets, Eddie took a complimentary picture with me. Eddie Griffin was too funny and so down to earth. However, as I purchased the VIP/Meet & Greet, I didn't get what I paid for! One of the security personnel was very pushy. Not only did he rush everyone that was VIP but told most of us that we were not allowed to take any photos with Mr. Griffin as he had a flight to catch. Mind you, the show ended at around 8:45pm and his flight wasn't until 5am the next day. I could have and next time will purchase a regular priced ticket.

This was an unforgettable and highly entertaining event that I would very highly recommend comedy lovers to go and see. Eddie Griffin was in top form. If you've seen Eddie Griffin on film and TV programs, it pales in comparison to going to see him in person. He was awesome. We purchased VIP tickets in celebrating my brother's 57 birthday, and we were laughing so much from start to finished that it will be a memory that my brother and I will always remember the rest of our lives. If you can afford the VIP tickets, BUY THEM. It is well worth the money.

Started out super funny! Then. As he consumed drink after drink he got more and more incoherent and pretty soon nothing coming out was funny, only cynical. He should have stopped after the first hour and third drink. And chain smoking in a small venue with a low ceiling was a bad idea.

His show was hilarious! Definitely worth the price of admission, and the back stage meet and greet was cool too. Really down to earth, but I didn't expect any less. I won't fly out Vegas for a while, so I'm looking for another show near me.

Venue was very understated - a basic old school comedy club. Started exactly on time and wated little time getting the main man to the stage. A 2 hour set of good old Eddie g - funny as heck!

This was the worst show I've seen in Vegas. Purchased high price tickets for good seats but was seated in the back. Mr Griffin uses the term "m--ther f--in ni--a" excessively. It's not the term that is offensive but the need to use it to push through the comedy which falls short of the mark. Mr, Griffin drank hard during the performance until he no longer could remember his material.

Eddie was entertaining the first half of the show, he drank and smoked cigarettes throughout the entire show which kind of sucked. The theater is relatively small, so any seat is good. I was actually thankful that we were closer to the back. Some Jack wipe tried to throw money on the stage and Eddie had him thrown out! The Rio is a very old hotel, so dony expect too much.

Eddie was funny, but the downfall of his show was him drinking and getting drunk. By the end of the show he was barely even saying jokes without laughing at himself first.

Funny but Uncomfortable. For a white guy, this show was very racially slanted. It seemed to be extremely funny for the black folks but I found myself not laughing a lot of the time because the jokes were a diss on whites. I know it's only comedy and I shouldn't be offended and I'm truly not, I'm just advising that "white folks" know what they are about to purchase.

Me and my boyfriend went to Vegas to celebrate our 'babymoon' as we are expecting our first child in a couple months. We were in Vegas for 4nights and went to Eddie Griffin show at the RIO the first night. We walked in just as it was beginning and was taken to our seats right in the front row left side. It is a intimate crowd, we were sharing a table with a couple next to us on the right but that didn't bother us. The show was great, you can tell Eddie freestyles a lot of it as he goes and he waited till the end to pick on a couple guys that were sitting front center and only because they reached out to shake his hand then he said he doesn't pick on people until they engage him lol. The only bad thing is it took FOREVER for my boyfriend to get a drink. It seemed like the waitress kept walking right past us probably till around 30minutes into the show
