Curren$y

New Orleans rapper Curren$y is one of the hardest-working men in the business, with seven albums, half a dozen EPs, and 18 mixtapes all released within the last six years. His fifth album "The Stone Immaculate" debuted in 2012 as No. 2 on Billboard's Top R&B/Hip-Hop and Rap charts. Working alongside some of the top talent in the rap world, he spits intricate rhymes full of clever wordplay, all with the kind of relaxed attitude that tells you he could keep going all day long and then he lays a killer jazz-funk beat over the top.

The southern energy definitely was brewing from beginning to the end. It was sincere and brought comfort to those "shifting " in this town. No matter the face or the age it seemed as if everyone was on the same wavelength. (Mad respect to the DJs) One of the biggest moments i reflect on is when i had question if i was at a Louisiana 2000 hot boys show ...! It was great lol everyone was fantastic ,but T.Y. Was one of the artists that really caught my ear specifically because my father grew up playing BG so it was interesting to be able to hear that similar vibe brought through from A generation I'm familiar with.

Listen, $pitta knows what he's doing! I saw T.Y., I saw Cornerboy P, I saw Roddy, Le$ was there too. The whole JET set gives great performances that lead up to the man himself- Curren$y. When he comes on stage he exudes nothing but G. If you have a specific favorite song from his many of tapes, I'm sure he performs it. Rather the song dropped a month ago or if it was years ago, he KILLS IT. I'm a die hard fan, and I brought a friend with me that knew maybe two of his songs, and none of the sets- but when we left, he was screaming "LIFE" the whole way home! If his tour comes near you, don't miss. I'm still on A ride, & he left my city two days ago. 6 stars , 3 thumbs up ! LIIIIIIFE.

Concert sucked. Pageant enforced no smoking. Big KRIT and Method man acted like they were the main act and rapped way too long. Then the dj messed around for a good 45 minutes. and finally 3 and a half hours after the concert started Curren$y came. He maybe did 10 songs.

Masquerade is a cool little venue. The first 2 acts were local cats. Then the Jet Life movement began with Smoke DZA, Fiend, Trademark, Young Roddy, Big Krit, and a few others. The event started at 7:30ish and Spitta probably came on stage at about 10:30/11:00. He came out in typical Spitta fashion and wentn right into performing. Defintely worth the 18 buck for 5 hours work of performance!

It took a while for Curren$y to come out but when he did it was amazing!! He had great guests including Fiend, Smoke DZA, and even K.R.I.T!!! I would recommend this concert to anyone who loves Curren$y or good music in general.

Been a fan for five years now. Curren$y is my favorite rapper and has been since the young money days. I love his Jets stuff I loved his Young Money stuff I loved his No Limit stuff and seeing him in concert was a dream. I got a picture with Fiend and Trademark and Roddy. When they came on the floor the place lost it. What an amazing time. The Troc is definitely a place I hope Curren$y comes to again because if he does I want to be the first with tickets.

This was one of the best shows I've been to on a long time, each and every artist made sure to connect with the audience, and the music was everything I'd hope for and more. Currensyy$y is VERY charismatic and even helped a girl out in the crowd who had gotten thrown up on, all in all the show was great and I wish I could relive that night.

I didn't even get to see Curren$y because the Trocadero security wouldn't let me back in. Before I walked out I was told I just needed a handstamp and I would be let back in... I go down the street to get some cigs and I come back and they begin to interrogate me like I wasn't a paying customer. After paying for my ticket and buying two beers upstairs, I wasn't able to see the only artist I came for. Very disappointed in the way they handle situations and I will not be returning.

One of the best shows I've been to. I got a chance to hug Curren$y before he went in for sound check (he's so chill and humble), and I was pretty close to the stage because I got there early. Everyone in Jet Life are great performers. After the show, all the featured guests were outside taking pics and greeting all the fans. I took a picture with Young Roddy and my friend took a pic with Smoke DZA. Overall, it was a great show and a chill ass environment

CurrenSy was tight but his set was only like 45 mins. His opening acts were horrible too, I seen like 3 or 4 ppl fallin asleep up in there. The worst part was the "NO RE-ENTRY" policy. I could see makin the under 21 crowned stay in but if I paid my money and have a wristband I should be able to go smoke and come back. For that last reason alone I won't be com in back to Bourbon Street Ballroom for a show.

This concert was sick and there was very minimal pushing and shoving due to everyone just being jetted and listening to the flows of the Jets. I've been to 5 concerts. One being at the El Rey back in January to see Big Sean. Big Sean is one of my favorites right now. Curren$y's concert is definitely right up there with Big Sean's concert in my rankings. Although the flight was delayed and the local acts before the official openers weren't that great....once everything got back in line it was a great show and Curren$y made up for it by coming into the crowd and taking pictures with everyone after the show

The entire jetlife team was unforgettable. I wasn't a huge fan of Cornerboy P until he performed and gave me a reason to become one. Curren$y knows how to put on a show and he's in tune with his audience. I really enjoyed everything and will definitely attend his next performance.

I brought my girl with me, got a table, had some wings, cool vibe. Roddy, Le$, T.Y., and Styles P. came through and performed. Curren$y came out live, played some classic tracks. Wish I brought an L with me, everyone else did! It was real cool though. I would definitely go to another concert. #PilotTalk3 yeahh!

curren$y, roddy, le$, cornerboy p, ty and the surpise appearance from krit made this the best show of my life. the most relatable, personal artists out there. not only were the sets dope, but spitta stayed on stage for over an hour. after the show they were giving autographs, taking pictures, and moving how jets move. no other show i've been to in my life was this dope. this was my girlfriend's first concert ever. never been to any other show before. these dudes as artists and performers realize that. this is somebody's first time doing something like this and they put they all out on the stage. i wanna thank JLR for that and jernts being sparked for the team and endless success. jet life.

I enjoyed the show, it was on time and even included a special guest. That's always a plus. The RITZ venue charged $1 for entry since it is a members only club. That was a surprise since I wasn't expecting to dish out any additional money at the door. Although $1 is not a big deal, these things should be noted somewhere. Very safe and effortless to get out seeing as I was one of the first folks to leave. All in all a great show, good venue, plenty of security. One helluva night!!!

The new songs were dope, and the setlist had a lot of classic mixtape material. Also mixed in was some work from all of Curren$y's albums. High Tunes, Address, King Kong, Showroom. Just to name a few... When describing Showroom to the crowd Curren$y announced, "I wrote this for anybody tryna get paid." The crowd went nuts, and he killed the rest of the show. 5/5 stars from me, a Curren$y fan since day one who finally got to witness him live. Great performance by a great performer. Got more than I could've ever asked for. Thanks Spitta.

Best concert ever in the best location ever! Jammed tight but well worth the closeness... Spitta effortlessly recites rhyme after rhyme while smoking and moving across the stage. Often times he let the beat drop off to where you could hear every word and it showed his skill. Extremely under-rated but easily one of the best MC's in the game with lyrical content that easily beats out most mainstreamed music. I plan on taking my husband to see every concert that he has at B.B Kings

The show was dope from start to finish. The DJ played nothing but hot songs all night. The opening acts (Major van Winkle and Wave Chappelle) kept the crowd hype and put out real quality music. If you are a true Curren$y fan like myself you would've loved the concert. He hit classics from Pilot Talk 1 & 2, Covert Coup, Return to the Winners Circle, etc. Nothing from Stoned Immaculate tho because this was right before it dropped. After the concert he signed autographs & actually signed my "JETS" Hat & then handed me a free t-shirt. "Spitta is the man!" I would definitely recommend his concerts & go buy "Stoned Immaculate" Rap Album of The Year so far!

Can't even begin to describe how amazing this show was, the entire Jet Set was just dope as heck! I would have gladly paid 5x's more the amount of the ticket, that's how much it was worth it. I Love Trade & Young Roddy!! Spitta brought out Nipsey Hussle as a special guest, we went crazy. Planes were being passed all night from the crowd to the stage to Curren$y back in reverse order, if I could re-live it over & over I most definitely would. Can't wait till the JetLife Tour comes back to Los Angeles for more.

Been to see Spitta at least 6 times. This was the best. Ski Beats represented and the drummer and bass player killed it. I wish I had come a little later because first act didn't come on until 1145 or so. Other than that the show was fire.

We attended his show in Baltimore back in late October as a surprise to my boyfriend Curren$y is his favorite rapper! I had heard music that my boyfriend had played but really didnt know much about him however after that dope concert he has fo sure gained another fan! All the opening acts was dope and shoutout to the female DJ that did her thing on stage she woke the crowd up along with all the opening acts! I would definitely recommend anyone thinking about his show to attend because you will be very pleased. FYI if your a smoker than this is where you want to be! Jet Life haha

I've never been to a curren$y concert before but everyone always would talk about it and say how cool and personable he was. When I was here it felt like we knew each other! He joked with the crowd and made sure We were having a good time. One of his songs that he did he made his own sound effects and personally that was my favorite part. He is very cool and if you're a smoker his shows are ones you don't want to miss ! I know a few of his songs so I sang along to some others I didn't and I still had a great time.. HIS FANS ARE THE COOLEST , most down to earth fans ever . Great vibes

Curren$y gives one of the best shows around. Performing songs from the beginning of his career to the most recent. His energy while performing is always incredible and the crowd gives it right back. It was like being at a show with a bunch of the homies. I see him Everytime he is in town and I will certainly be back next time. Jet Life!!!!

Parking was $15! But the show was excellent ! Currency really connected with the crowd and played all the songs we would have wanted him to perform .

This wasn't my first Curren$y concert, but as usual Spitta came out and put on a show with lots of energy! I tweeted him a few days before the show and asked him to perform my favorite song; a classic of his called "Breakfast". He performed the song and helped me finish my 25th birthday in a memorable fashion! GREAT SHOW! I'll see him every time he comes to town.

This show was amazing! I can only say that I wish he started performing sooner because he didn't go on stage til 3+ hrs after the doors opened. I was out of my home state with a friend so the experience was one of a kind. I wish he stood around longer after the concert to sign my $2 bill.

The concert was incredible!! The opening acts were so-so as expected but when Curren$y come out, the crowd had gotten super hyped. Curren$y had performed a little bit of everything from his older hits all the way up to his newer stuff. The entire time the crowd was singing along and with Curren$y being a stoner, the venue was completely smoked out. Definitely worth seeing him in person!!

This concert was dope. Spitta is an amazing artist and an even better performer. The crowd was super chill, so there wasn't any shoving or pushing. Even though the crowd was chill, there was still so much energy. I loved seeing people et super hype when the DJ dropped a track.

Great concert.. Curren$y Always kills it. It was a packed house as usual.. There were no issues getting into the masquerade I was able to show my ticket from my smartphone like a federal agent. No hassle went up to heaven and you graciously allowed me and m my colleagues Jet life!
