Show was nostalgic - he travels with 2 other comedians, who are fine on their own, but would sometimes end up talking over another person's punch line. Gallagher was th glue that kept the show going. Just wish he gave his long speech about his "Sledge-O-matic". He had volunteers smash food - including his signature watermelon - but maybe he needs assistance at age 70? Still a funny show!

If you expect to see the man who put on a hell of a show and left you wanting more, then watch his old material on your TV. The title of the show says it all..." the jokes on you". And it should be called "The Artie Fletcher Show" as he was the only one who actually performed for the show. Bob Nelson did nothing but interrupt almost every joke Gallagher attempted to tell. It was like watching my 7 year old grandson trying to be funny. Flashed the t-shirt sales money a few times beause the people who bought them were stupid. To end the show he put food in pie pans, reminded us how he use to actually have skit for this part but was old now and didn't give a shit, this was his new way. Don't waste your time or money to see him in person. Watch him on Netflix.
We enjoyed the hell out of this show. Before Gallagher went on he was in the lobby taking pictures signing autographs. This was a fun filled evening. For the money you paid you got a great show. I would go again to see him.

Gallagher overdid it onstage to a child when he embarresed him with a pie in the face. Then he squirted coke into his eyes. He could have apologized at the end, maybe let him come up on stage and take a bow or something.

The man was on stage telling one story after another without stop for 2 hours. No pauses, no stopping to drink water, no notes....just straight humor. Only 15 minutes after his stint was devoted to smashing and it seemed to be for the benefit of all the kids in the audience. He also gave pre shows and post shows in the lobby for autographs and chats. Whatta guy.

For those of you who remember our friend Gallagher from the 80's, he has not changed a bit! Well, maybe a little - He's kind of obsessed with poop in his old age. These days, Gallagher is still full of life and energy. His show is sure to impress, although I wouldn't recommend it if you are sensitive to criticism. With Gallagher, no one is off limits, and he makes sure that he pokes fun at every race, sexual orientation and other lifestyle preferences. While some may view this as being politically incorrect, we thought it was hilarious and we truly enjoyed this show. It's also funny to see how he has perfected the smashing bit, noting things like "after 30 years, I finally realized that 1/3rd of a watermelon flies better than a whole one!" Whether you're a long time fan or a new follower, I would recommend the Gallagher show for an evening of fun, entertainment, and a bucket full of laughs.

Growing up during the 80's I remember watching Gallagher's specials many times and was amazed at his unique brand of humor. It is now many years later and i finally got to see him perform in person last weekend. It was an incredible funny show and the performance was much longer than I had anticipated. I believe it was well over 2 and a half hours. He definitely gave the people their money's worth. He definitely speaks his mind and engages with the audience (which can be brutal if he takes a dislike to you ). It was a great show and I enjoyed both of the comedians. As much as I enjoyed the performance , I did find certain parts a bit offensive. There are some jokes that came across as xenophobic rather than funny. There was a few homophobic jokes as well . There was some profanity ,which I don't mind, but there were young kids in the audience . Having said all of that i still would highly recommend going to watch him in person. He is a comic legend and yet still highly underrated by many people. He is much more than just the guy that smashes watermelons .

I remember seeing Gallagher over 20 years ago in Florida. He was so funny that the huge venue was full of unbridled laughter. My wife and I repeated favorite lines from the show on the drive back home. This time, not so much. Artie Fletcher was not quite funny and much too political in his jokes. The exchanges between Artie and Gallagher were a distraction. A few times, Gallagher would be on a roll and Artie would interrupt with an inappropriate comment. Then the magic would be gone. Gallagher is at his best when he shares his observations about some idiocy in our lives, spoon/forks at this show. I would see Gallagher again if it was a solo act, but not if he's teamed up with Artie Fletcher.

I have always wanted to see Gallagher. I grew up watching him and he was so funny and entertaining in person just as he always has been. Despite his age, he has a similar style of comedy with updated jokes. Artie is funny during his own skit, but I didn't give the 5th star because when the two comedians are out together, they don't complement each other very well. Overall, seeing Gallagher was completely worth the time and money. OH, and time was another thing; the show was longer than I expected. I was afraid it would be shorter than I wanted, but it was about 3 hours. And it was great that at the end Gallagher let some audience members take part in the smacking of watermelons! Great guy! Sorry this is his last tour!

Saw him probably 30 years ago. So when we heard he'd be performing near us we had to go. Must admit we thought 70 years old, might be disappointing. Boy were we wrong! He is better than ever !! First he meets with you before show, signing autographs, t shirts taking pictures, and of course telling jokes. His warm up guy was Artie Fletcher, pretty funny too. He is a definite must to see. Hope to see him again before he quits touring. Absolutely unforgettable!!!!!!!

The show was to long. Gallagher doesn't need warm ups like the 2 guys playing the guitars. Artie could do a little less talking. We were115 miles from home and my wife had to work Sunday morning. I think 2 to 2 1/2 hours is enough although at 70 Gallagher is still doing well. Enjoyed the show.

The guy has been entertaining people for decades and his mind is still churning. His jokes are funny and accurate, he likes to interact with the crowd and point out their lack of common sense, and he still likes to smash stuff. Gallagher is prompt. He's on time which is nice these days. And let it be known expect the same from the audience! He is very funny. He has a great comic routine that runs an hour or two before he actually does the smash event, it's wonderful. You can choose to sit up front or you can choose to sit in the back we sat up front. If you're up front you have fun watching the smash event at the end just take cover! It's wonderful. If you sit in the back it's absolutely great back there too because you can laugh at everybody up front getting covered with the stuff! Everybody brings a poncho or something to cover up with. Do not miss this event Gallagher has had four heart attacks you have to see him!!!

The show lasted 2 hours and 40 minutes. Not bad for a 69 y/o old. This show does not deserve even one star. Stupidest comedy routine Iv'e ever witnessed. When I made the mistake of buying these tickets, I was recalling the HBO specials of 20 - 30 years ago and was looking forward to reliving the fun. Either Gallagher has devolved into the worst comedy routine of all time, or he was already there years ago and I was too (pick one) juvenile, stoned, mentally ill back in the day to grasp it. Gallagher was good and Artie, as the opener, was fine. Artie, on stage during Gallagher's act, was horrible. At first, you feel bad for him because he seems to be trying so hard to add something to the act. Then, as the pathetic attempt continues, it gets uncomfortable to watch.

Gallagher alone was as expected... funny. His mallet routine was just as I remembered growing up. He involved the crowd which was fun too because he made them look foolish and the participants loved him for it. It's when Bob and Artie got involved that things went sour. Bob's routine alone was ok but the trio working as one was a snoozer.

It's my second time seeing a comedic act at the Bergen PAC and I loved it. Gallagher, I can honestly say, was the first comedian I saw on TV as a kid and just loved the jokes. Always wanted to see him perform live, so this gave me the change. I enjoyed every minute of it. Clearly there has been a stretch of time between his last tv perormance (not counting the Geico commercial) and this show, but the creativity and willingness to be raw with his material, in other words more genuine and real, was fantastic. I would have laughed if it was all old jokes, although he did mention a couple, but his ability to test the limits and engage the audience was great. Fantastic night and show. Thank you Gallagher and Bergen PAC

What a show!!! Some of my earliest memories are of seeing Gallagher on his HBO specials with my dad. I'd always wanted to see him LIVE and i finally got my opportunity. The tickets were priced amazingly and the evening turned out great. The venue was outdoors and the evening was perfect for Washington...(meaning it didn't rain!) I bought 2 tickets and there was no doubt I was taking my dad. We had a GREAT time! Gallagher was brilliant and I wouldn't hesitate for a second to see him again. As far as I'm concerned he is still one of the greats and I believe he could still go head to head with the best of them. His material was up to date and hilarious! My dad and I haven't laughed that hard in a loooong time. If you don't take the opportunity to see this man in concert your missing out on a great experience and a truly fun time!

I have always been a big fan of Gallagher, so decided to take my parents, my son and a couple of friends. We had fantastic seats "in the zone." Before the show, Gallagher came wandering out into the audience to give autographs and picture opportunities - very cool! He has become a bit more vulgar than I remember him being, but maybe that's because I now have kids and notice things like that. He kept us laughing for three full hours. During his sledge-o-matic, he let about 25 people get up on the stage and let them assist. My son happened to be one of them, and he came out smelling like all kinds of nasty stuff! Would absolutely recommend seeing him if you get the chance. If you have smaller kids (under the age of about 15), I would probably leave them at home.

The show was just as I imagined it would be, up close and messy is the way to see a Gallager show. This show ran 2 1/2 hours, but could easily have been done well in 90 min. Gallagher has some really funny jokes and takes on politics and the world, but he brought a couple sidekicks that only slowed the show to a CRAWL. It was painful, until he brought out the Sledge-O-Matic, which is still one of the funniest bits in comedy!

Gallagher was very funny however he did offend some people near us who ended up leaving early. I really think the tickets should have come with an warning on them for adults only or mature audiences only. Honestly he did not pick on one person or type of people - it was equally distributed. Not thrilled with the end of his presentation (we could not tell it was the end) but over all it was great! Too bad there were not more people there but I honestly did not hear any advertising for the show

The show was a little long without intermission, but well worth the wait! Gallagher spent time with people in the Lobby, posing for pictures and was just great - He primed you for the show! LOL I LOVE Bob Nelson! He is the main reason we went to the show. The only disappointment was we wanted to see him do the toilet paper routine we had seen years before. Didn't know he was still touring. Saw tickets pop up and the price wasn't bad so we got the tickets. We were laughing most of the night.

Worst show I ever saw. Walked out before the sledgomatic. Humor was a stale old crap. Looked like a rejected vaudville act. Gallagher should throw the othed guys under the bus and do his own material. Even the props broke.

The show was disjointed and jumped all over the place when the three were on stage. Jokes/stories were started, never finished, just tailing off into another joke/story that didn't finish. While the other two were there to act as comedy wingmen, it just didn't work, they were too loud, nobody could hear each other on stage, and the various, stereotypical "characters" the one kept coming out as were not funny and did nothing for the show. It got boring and tedious to watch. When Gallagher was alone on stage, that's when it was the best. His act was reminiscent of what it once was. Of course the sledge-a-magic came out and that was fabulous. But for a three hour show, it was just the icing on top of a, boring, bland cake.

It was a 3+ hour show that had about 90 minutes of content. Very slow at points and dragged on too long.

Gallagher is retiring after this tour so wanted to see him live one last time. Show was as expected - very good. But what was really surprising was Gallagher in the lobby greeting people as the entered, taking pictures and signing autographs. I have never seen that before. Usually when you see a performer in the lobby, it is after the show and they are trying to sell something. But Gallagher really enjoys his fans and wasn't selling anything. Gallagher also allows photos and videos during the show. Quinn and Sal from Impractical Jokers were in the audience.

Last time I saw him was probably 20 years ago. Loved him then, and I think he is even funnier now. We did get hit by a couple of things at the end of the show, watermelon and I think some kind of syrup, which I wanted. He is a legend. Great show great venue.

Gallagher is still funny and relevant. He kept us laughing for over an hour and a half with stand-up and then hammered the crowd with sledge-o-magic. It was a great time!

Really not for younger viewers - should have been made aware Too much long winded standup with small finale of messy antics which we thought there would have been more of for younger viewer enjoyment Would not go back again

Great show. Very funny. Personable. He even waited in the main lobby before the show and was taking pictures with his fans. Great night.

Show went over the 90 minutes. Closer to two hours. He said he wanted to give us our money's worth and he did. A lot of audience interaction. Our seats were perfect. Close enough to the stage to have a good view but out of "sledge-o-matic" range. Typical Gallagher show, not politically correct. Don't go if you are easily offended :-)

Very funny show. My only complaint was not sitting on the first few rows and getting a face full of corn and pudding.

The show was almost as great as the first time I saw him live, but the first time is always the best! He not only started on time, but he interacted with his fans and thanked us for coming outside the venue before it even started! Who does that these days, um, no one I've seen!!! I love that he made it so that the adults would get the jokes, but included fun stuff for the kids as well! It is a kid friendly show! His insight on everything AMAZES me! I was greatly entertained and VERY PROUD I was able to see his last performance! :(

The common sense and logic was incredible. He was put off a little by a loud drunk in the audience, but had a great comeback..."We are too close to the Arkansas line". The jokes were great and edgy and were for a mature audience. I was surprised to see the young children there.

Gallagher is still the comic champ. Entering the building he was signing and taking pictures in the lobby. He is very approachable. The set was great with new and old jokes. The Sledgomatic can still make food fly. He went back to the lobby and signed more after the show.

A star performance! Gallagher met fans, signed autographs, autographed T-Shirts, and posed with fans for pictures before the show. His monologue last over an hour of joke after joke with lots of new material. He was able to handle drunk hecklers with ease and still stay respectful and funny for the rest of the crowd. He had plenty of audience involvement (and he involved the audience too)!!! I don't think there were any food items left out, including yellow watermelon! Personally I was stage right , 9 rows back and only got a little cottage cheese in my hair and a bit of corn on my left arm, caught Hershey kisses and streamers that were bounced into the audience with a tennis racket. He even made sure that all the seats were covered to avoid damage to the seats! See the show, he's 67, had a heart attack and as his T-shirt reads, "Gallagher's Last Smash - After 35 years of touring, I want to go to as many towns as I can and personally tell my fans - Thank You." Well worth it - a legend!

Gallagher's Last Smash was everything that I hoped that it would be and more. He had new material but also included some of his trademark jokes. When we got to the theater he was in the lobby greeting fans, taking pictures and signing autographs.

I had never heard of Gallagher but had seen the commercials on t.v. My husband grew up watching him on t.v. so when I asked he told me about him. It wasn't 2 weeks later that I saw he was coming to our area so I bought tickets "for my husband". I had no idea what to expect. I thoroughly enjoyed the show. His comedy was hilarious and the smashing was too funny.

Amazing show. Gallagher mingled with the audience before he performed, signing autographs and taking pictures with his fans. This is unlike other performers who stay behind the curtain until it's time for them to take the stage. He was a hit and the whole audience enjoyed his performance, not a dry eye in the house as they laughed to all of his antics.
