The comedy was great! Anjelah and the dude who went on before her (Jeff?) were funny! I love House of Blues but they should definitely add more seating for a comedy performance. When we bought our tickets it said nothing about standing room only and I didn't know until I called to see where our seats were that we were going to be standing. But overall the show was great! Will for sure be there next time she comes to town!

Anjelah came about the box ready to make people laugh. She had my wife and I cracking up the whole time. Her beat-boxing was incredible! I was ready to get up and start dancing - that good! The only bad thing about the show was some of the crowd. There were a handful of people who kept yelling for her to do her old routines - the Asian nail salon and a couple others. Anjelah, right away, asked them to calm down and wait. But these people were relentless. She even threatened to cut her act short. But she went on with her new material, which was great. I especially thought her showing everyone her merchandise at the end of the show was smart and funny. Who does that?! Also, can't remember his name, the opening act was just as good. That was guy was hilarious.

Anjelah Johnson is hilarious, when you watch her specials on tv. Those specials though, take place in bigger cities,with bigger venues, and better jokes. She did what she could with the crowd but there were several awkward parts and parts where she was trying to hard to relate to the crowd. That is not to say that the show wasn't enjoyable, she had me laughing for most of the show. The comedian who opened the whole show also did his best, but I do not believe that he was the best opener that they could have gotten.

We watch Anjelah's shows online, and we always gets a good laugh. Naturally, we thought we'd catch her live for the first time. We were really excited to see her show, but she only got a few chuckles out of us. We actually ended up leaving after 30 minutes.

I bought these tickets for Anjelah, but she was just lame. Even her reproduction of her famous nail salon bit was off. Her warm up comedian, Mal Hall, was way more funny. Unfortunately the volume was too low and we struggled to hear it all.

Anjelah Johnson is one of the funniest, most down to earth comedians! There were moments I stopped breathing because I was laughing so hard. I had tears streaming down my face. She has so much energy and her jokes were hilarious! She makes fun of herself (she can't walk in heels, still can't speak Spanish), she dances, and she raps. At the end of the show she even told some older jokes including the one that started it all, the Nail Salon. Tickets were affordable, the seats were amazing, and it was a night I'll never forget!

Anjelah's show was just perfect! Her opening act was great, too! The show was clean and not overly raunchy, so many different kinds of people could enjoy this show. I even think my husband would have loved it. My long time best friend and I attended together and we had the greatest time! IT was our first time at the Ryman and her first comedy show. She loved it! I highly recommend Anjelah's show and would definitely go again if given the opportunity!

Anjelah was great hilarious!!! i loved seeing her in person it was awesome.... the seats on the other hand were awful. we sat right behind a pole and could barley see her i had to keep moving to be able to see her..and was not informed that because it was our first time at the ryman...it would have been great to have been told that you cant see anything in certain spots...but it was a fun experience and GREAT show!!

Her warm up person was great. He reminded my sister, daughter, and myself about our ketchup & anything else we could take drawer. Anjelah was also great. She did not disappoint. I found that there were some slow areas, but it could have been me and not her because I was so tired. I would go watch either of them again. The price was great also.

I'm a huge fan of Angela Johnson, and I adore Bon Qui Qui. I honestly didn't want the night to end. The show had a great energy. Her husband was sick so a comedian Mal Hall performed and I loved him. Funny, engaging and he kept the crowd going. I wish Angela could have done her comedy for longer but I understand the show was more about Bon Qui Qui. Loved the whole show and I hope she comes back to Durham!

Stand up comedy was amazing but not really into rap so for me that was just average. Review and sing along of songs in recent past was GREAT too! Audio on video big screen failed at a certain point in the performance. But Anjelah's husband worked with the crowd until audio was fixed. Nice recovery!

Anjelah Johnson was funny but of course I didn't expect anything less. This was my first time seeing her LIVE. It was also my first time at The Grove in Anaheim. I really dig the venue. It is a very intimate setting. I had some really good seats too, so yeah. All around amazing. The guy who opened for her was pretty funny too.

I watched her videos on Youtube one hundred times over and over and I say phrases all the time, so I couldn't wait to find out more of her insanely hilarious jokes about life. This is the third time I have seen Anjelah and was concerned she would be as funny as she was when I first saw her 4 yrs ago at the Improv in Brea...well she was and maybe even funnier. My older son and I had been to the Fox Performing Arts Center Riverside earlier in the year to see Foreigner and were pleasantly surprised with the venue. My younger son went with us this time and thoroughly loved the venue. While I hate the drive from "the OC" out to Riverside I would have no issues if there was someone or something I wanted to see out there.

When we got to the theater, there was no usher or guide for seating. Once we found someone to direct us, the line to get drinks were ridiculous! When I bought the seats using the online Ticketmaster, it did not have enough information to show where I was buying the seats, my friend sat behind the guy directing the spotlight and I had apparently bought seats in the very last row up at the very top. We were so far back, we couldn't see the facial expressions of the comedians and missed half of what everyone was laughing about when gestures were being made. Overall, we did have a good time... because of what we heard, not what we could see!

Anjelah was hysterical love her long time, I got tickets and surprised my daughter who is a huge fan and the one who introduced me to Ahjelah, and I brought two of my friends one who had not heard of her before and is now a fan, When Anjelah announced she would be doing a meet and greet after the show my daughter ran for the exit and she got her picture taken with her and made it her profile picture on Facebook, Rachael did Anjelah's material all the way home and really well too..., what a great show we laughed so hard I almost wet my pants!!!!

This was my second time seeing Angela in DC and she was FANTASTIC.....! I was a little worried about going again, because I didn't want to hear the same material, but she did not disappoint! She had an intermission with her husbands band, who in themselves ROCKED IT! Another stand up comedian guy, who I don't remember his name.. but he was just as good! All of her material was FRESH!
