I saw them at Knottfest last night. All they did was scream their lungs off and play their music at 114db to 121db most of the time. All that screaming and loud noise didn't make up for their lack of talent.

This was the 4th time I have seen Jazzy Jeff do his show. This was by far the best one. He and Skillz rocked the house for 3+ hours. The crowd was engaged and going crazy.

Alexander Howard is an amazing performer and I would love love love to see him again!! The crowd packed into Merc Lounge (around 100 people) and had a great time. His songs are at http://alexanderhoward.bandcamp.com

Josh Ritter's acoustic show at the Fitzgerald was fantastic, as have been all his shows that I've seen. I remember the first time I saw him play--the 400 Bar in the early '00s, opening for Haley Bonar. He radiated joy. He still does, although with more trips around the sun, the light in his lantern, though no less bright, casts more flame of summer than sunniness of spring. He and Zack still seem like the guys you'd want to hang out with in any green room. (Zack played that night at the 400, a great looking viola bass that was not a Hofner.) And Josh Kaufman--holy blazes, Batman. That dude can play. And the opener, Gregory Alan Isakov, is a great new find for me. I love his song The Universe. Great job, guys! As before, thanks. Being such a huge fan of these guys' music and creativity, I was so excited for this show, I had to sit down to relax before entering the venue! Haha. The Horrors brought such a fantastic atmosphere to the El Rey Theatre. Their music creates a heavy feeling of nostalgia and psychedelic and dream like vibes. They alternated insongs from their sophomore album Primary Colours, and their lastest record Skying. The songs from both albums complement each other perfectly. Faris gave his all into his vocals. Rhys' bass-dancing is a spectacle on its own, as well as Joshua's going crazy as he plays his guitar, hair covering his face completely and all. I completely let loose and danced to every song, closing my eyes at several points, smiling so big, and feeling doubtful that this experience was real. So surreal to be part of a crowd, who are feeling the things you are....

Aaron Bing's concert was fantastic. He interacts with the crowd well and his talents burst off the stage. His band was comprised of very talented musicians and the sound was great. Perhaps the biggest issue was that they overpowered Aaron at times. Nonetheless, it was a great concert. I drove three hours to attend and while I got back home at 2:30am, it was worth it!!

I would have enjoyed that show more if she songs that were have more recognizable. As always the venue is excellent and the sound system is perfect.

of the four band Unkle kracker topped the bill. While we enjoyed Sugar Rey the sound mix was uneven (bass overode guitar and vocals, Smash Mouth sond mix was even worse the vocal were alomost unitelligable and the overall sound was muddy, Blues Traveler was ok but agin vocal were hard to understand although that may have simply been the lead vocalist as opposed to the mix. Overall it was an enjoyable experience. I would let anyone that buyer beware the on line option leads you to believe that it is reserved seating but it is not it is open seating although there is a standing pit area that they charge more money for so if you dont mind standing then go for it. The seat were comfortable enough and the event itself wasn't a sell out so ther were plenty of good seats available when we went in just before the show started. Sets were approx 45 min and change over was quick I would imagine that fewer bands would equal more stage time for each. Overall we found that it was worth the drive and the ticket price.
