IT WAS LIT! The line up was so good, a 16 minute performance from Beyonce, the return of Britney Spears, and fantastic performances from The Chainsmokers, Future, and 245666777 performances by Rihanna made this an unforgettable night. The VMAs bring a palpable energy that is simply electric. Would definitely recommended. Make sure an artist you LOVE is performing, and it makes the night all the more better.

I grew up watching the VMAs, starting in the 1980s, so even though MTV doesn't even show videos anymore and I'm a little older than their demographic anyway, I still watch this show every year. I attended in 2012, and since it was right up the road in L.A., I decided to go back again in 2014. I'm glad I did. There's something special and fun about the VMAs. This show didn't have any of those must-see moments, but it was still neat to be part of a live TV broadcast and see lots of really good performances. The Forum is also amazing and looks like a totally different place than it did a couple of years ago. It's still the size of an arena but feels like a theater. I will always love MTV and the VMAs, and will always go to this show if I get the chance. You should too!!

We had a great time at the awards. It was awesome to see the behind the scenes making of such an event. We just wish they would have shown those of us in attendance, the show above on the big screen. We couldn't see anybody's face from our seats. We had to go home and watch it to see faces, dresses, etch up close. But overall great experience, and another event to check iff bucket list!!

This years VMAS wasn't with the money. The talent wasn't as exciting as it could of been. Our seats where horrible and the camera was right in front of it but they don't tell you this. Waste of time sooooo disappointing

I thought the show was amazing live!!! The atmosphere was truly epic. The lights, climate, SOUND were perfect in my opinion. Stap,es center is amazing for sure...Huge environment. I was on the the 3rd tier which made me feel distant to the performers. It would have helped to see them on the big screens the whole way through. But I'm thankful to have been there and am looking forward to more. Thanks for the all the work and love!

Terrible seats that should not have been sold. Disappointed! Also, entertainment and host should have been on screen!!

I bought my ticket before knowing who was performing because I assumed they'd sell out fast. But the sound quality was terrible - I couldn't even understand the host, who actually wasn't funny. Ticketmaster gave me the "Best seats available" but there were a ton of empty seats that were better so I don't know what the deal with that was! Oh and what's with the 1D obsession?? Ick.

Looks great on TV and if your a guest who gets to be on the floor, by the stage, but if you buy a ticket your wasting your money. You cannot see well, cannot hear the host & presenters well, dark, cold, most of the time is spent waiting for the commercials which are on every 5 min, and they do no show the activities on any of the monitors like they would at a concert. I will never attend again.

Such a waste of time and money. The stage Was so far from my seat that I couldn't even see anything and interestingly enough no screen to watch the show... It was so poor that I got up and left the show

I've been to quite a few award shows now, so I know what to expect. It was a good show with a fair amount of good sets by Alicia Keys, Green Day, Pink, and 2 Chains, though it wasn't many because it's only 2 hrs. I remember when it was a 3 hr show- that's when it was really good, goes to show you the quality of MTV now. But it wasn't a sold out affair and for where I was seating, the $135 pricetag was a bit much. I paid $75 for the Billboard Music Awards in Vegas and had a much better seat, view, and it was 3hrs. Overall, it was a better show than last year's but you may want to give better advanced notice to public about the show and lower the price for mezz seating and since it is a short show

This was an awesome experience to attend and be seated super close to the stars!!! I was literally 2 sections away in 104. Everyone's performance was amazing and having Rihanna and Nicki Minaj walk right by me was the moment of my life :))

The show started on time because it was live. Lady Gaga's performance was incredible. Justin Timberlake's performance was spectacular especially with guests Nsync. Drake was fantastic as well and Bruno Mars had really cool effects. The entire show was well organized.

Beyonce and Rihanna were fabulous. The rest, not so good. The garden a/c was not cool enough and how MTV allows Kanye to have that platform is insane. There is clearly something wrong with him

If you love music and celebrities, then this was the show to attend. At first I didn't want to go because Ticketmaster only had nosebleed seats for sale but then I decided that being at Madison Square Garden would be much better than watching on TV. I am more than glad that I made that decision. We had soooooo much fun!!!!! Beyoncé, Beyoncé, Beyoncé!!!! She killed her performance! We got a mini Beyoncé concert for a lot cheaper than her concert tickets. Rihanna's multiple performances were amazing. I loved everything about the show except for the 2 commentators who I didn't find funny at all. Kanye didn't disappoint with his video premiere showing Teyana Taylor's dance skills amongst other things. I would be typing all day trying to review the awards show. It was beyond amazing!!!! I wish Brittany would have had a longer set, but she too did an awesome job performing. I love love loved the show!!!!

I believe there were only a total of 8 performances (4 by Rhiannon) & maybe 6 actual awards given out. 1 performance was by Nick Jonas which was on video as he was outside performing. The performances were good, especially Beyoncé. The real problem I had were that even though there are very large video screens in the middle of the Garden, they did not show the performances on the screens except Nick Jonas & parts of Beyoncé. Could not understand the reason for this and from my seat, which was middle of Garden, I could not really see the performance by Rhiannon clearly. Lastly, the commercials were way too long and too many. Of the 2 hours and 45 minutes that the show lasted, I would guess that only 1 hour was actual entertainment (this includes speeches and presenters)

This is my 2nd year attending the MTV Video Music Awards, to me last year was better although I had better seats this year. Honestly the VMAs aren't what you expect from watching on TV. On tv it looks awesome but when you're actually there and you realize how scripted the show and audience is it takes away from your excitement. This year nicki performed three times and she is my fave celeb ever so that was a plus...and queen bey delayed along with Ariana grande. But overall I'm giving the event a 3 because it wasn't as legendary as last year.

After paying $175 per ticket I was very disappointed with the show that was presented to me. It's clear this is strictly a show for television, and not geared towards the attending audience at all. First, when you have a ticket to the show, you never see the red carpet. So forget any star sightings via the entrance. Then...you only see half the show. There is one show inside for you, with lights that face you so you can't see the performances, and so much fog that you can't see them when the lights aren't blinding you. There is the pre-show outside, where unbeknownst to you, MTV has already presented awards, and had several of the performers you thought you were going to see, perform. Then, there is the show outside during the telecast. More performers, performing outside, while you, who paid $175 a ticket, watch on a big screen. If you've never seen a show being recorded, it might be interesting, but I recommend going to see Ellen for free, and saving your $175 a ticket for a concert of your choosing. Pass on the VMAs.

It's great to see the top performers live performing their biggest hits all in one place. The stage was beautiful and fun that they moved it around a lot but parts of it were so far away it was difficult to see who was speaking into the microphone. It's good they had the big screens, at least. I'd go again, probably, but I don't think it's for everyone.

It's always great to attend award events such as the VMAs and AMAs every year. I just wish there was an option to attend red carpet and VIP events prior to the show and have additional parking options for big events such as this one. I also had to wait outside until the doors opened.

So it was the VMAs and it was great to just be there. And I had excellent seats, theoretically...pretty much in the front. But I couldn't hear anything. None of Kevin Hart's commentary, none of the acceptance speeches and the sound on the performances terrible. It was definitely optimized for TV. I'm glad I TiVo'd it.

The star power in the house was unbelievable. Barclay's never transformed so much from a Brooklyn Nets game to the VMA's and it was done IN STYLE!!! Justin Timberlake may not have been the first act, but he STARTED THE SHOW!!!! His 20 minute mini concert made it all worthwhile! Jimmy Fallon's award presentation to Justin sent goosebumps up my arms and spine. Well deserved! Bruno Mars performance was ELECTRIC! These 2 performers set the bar on how to perform. Follow them and you can never go wrong as an artist or professional. Excellent!!!!

event was for tv. actual commercials meant 1 or 2 commercials shown on jumbotron with filler dj music in between while stage crews moved stuff around between acts. Justin timberlake was great. most of the performances were great. but the crowds and difficulty getting in coupled with the commercials between almost every act made it a kind of 'eh' experience. if they panned a camera over the celebrity section during commercials and showed that on jumbotron it would have killed the time and made the experience much much better there were multiple stages, and one of the stages was 100% blocked by a giant moon man blowup statue. 200 level is the highest section in the arena. could see the acts but the performers were tiny.

It was fun to be there but the seats were horrible. There was a giant moon man blocking two of the stages and the screen that was facing me. I could barely see the screen or the stage. If anything I could have stayed home to watch a screen.

I go to over 30 concerts a year but nothing topped the VMA's. Justin Timberlake absolutely out did himself with an incredible array of dancing & singing. Taylor Swift was having a fun time enjoying the festivities unlike Rihanna who seemed to be slouched in her seat with an evident bad attitude. The VMA'ts are to celebrate their fellow artists--Remember that Rihanna! Hats off to Macklemore & Ryan Lewis--They deserved to win twice; especially for writing & performing their most recent hit-"Same Love"-They are trend setting.

Barclays Center staff was wonderful and friendly. The event was shown on screens so even if you sat in the upper level you could still see what was happening. Remember it's not a concert but an awards show for TV so if you're into seeing how the production happens and a few really good performances then it s a good experience. It s worth getting tickets via Ticketmaster for face value but DO NOT pay hundreds of dollars to a third party. Save that money to see the artist at a real concert for the fans in the arena vice the fans on TV.

This was a great experience. Took my 19 year old daughter for her Birthday and she Loved it! This was my second time at Barclay's and I have to say this is the only venue I really enjoy seeing concerts at. Your staff is wonderful from the staff at the door who greets you, the staff at the concession stands and your staff waiting to seat you....all wonderful. Our seats were ok considering that I was not in a position to be picky as it took me a while to score them but given the chance to be picky in the future I will avoid that section only because our row was the only way to get in and out, and being in seats 3 and 4 we def got an aerobic work out that evening! All in All a great time!

We weren't able to see any of the celebrities that were all seated directly below us in the lower level and the camera didn't show anyone on the video screens. The sound quality was poor and we couldn't see most of the performers due to the hanging speakers and the tent-like stage structure where the presenters were announcing the winners. None of the performances were displayed on the video screens. All in all, it was interesting to see how the show is filmed but it would have been more entertaining (and less expensive!) watching it on the TV in my living room.

If I have been 11 years old, it would have been okay. It felt like a big promotion for One Direction. There was no variety in the show. For example, Coldplay was not there, Dave Matthews, Bush....I could go on.....The only good acts were PINK and Alissha Keys. When One Directiona and Green Day played..the sound was so horrible, the lyrics were not understandable. Plus, I feel like there were more commercials than music which sucked.

As with many award shows, we expected it to go on for a good few hours with all the breaks between acts. But only an hour and a half with over half of that being breaks with nothing happening was extremely disappointing. There was a 7 minute break in between every award and every performance. No music was played or videos on the screen to entertain the crowd. The problem was there were only a handful of awards that were actually presented on the stage. The rest were done behind the scenes before the show. The performances were good but were extremely brief and few. The whole thing could have been improved by having screens at the side or above the stage so people all round the arena could see what was actually happening rather than looking at dots in the distance. I couldn't fault the stage design and production. The lighting and effects were incredible. The Staples Centre itself was very organized and everything ran smoothly. Being a massive music fan, I found it very disappointing. What it looks like on the television is nothing like it is in the flesh.
