He played with only his guitarist and drummer... unbelievable amount of sound for three guys. Super fun. I've always enjoyed listening to his stuff, but I have a new respect for his musicianship and the professionalism of his band.

The sound and energy level were great; but since there was no horn section, no base player, only one percussionist, and no keyboard player; only Manu, the guitarist, and the drummer; it felt like only half the band showed up to play. If I had known this was going to be a limited participation show, I would not have travelled up from LA to see these guys...

Very good show with a lot of energy. I wish that the songs weren't modified as much as they were. Some songs were unrecognizable from the way they were recorded on the albums and most of them ended in a ska/punk version. But, overall was a good show and Manu is very good on stage.

When I heard it was only going to be a three-piece band, I was disappointed. Shame on me because I got my money's worth with a lively, talented, all album encompassing show. Granted, it felt a bit like a packaged CliffsNotes version of what you wanted a Manu Chao experience to be, and the multiple encores had a bit of a James Brown "throwin' off the cape because I ain't done yet" feel to it, but that's the beauty of a true performer.; they know who they are, they know what they're great at, they love what they do, and they kick ass doing it. I fell in love with Manu Chao's energy long ago, and it's what drew me to see this show. He shared his passion with us, and left me impressed and longing for more. VIVA MANU!

It is amazing how 3 guys on stage can put on such a super-charged performance. They are full of energy, and a synchronicity with each other and their message which they convey with high-powered guitar playing, amazing vocal harmonies and great stage presence. They had the crowd from the moment they began playing and it was a total connection.

I actually bought the ticket and after waiting 1hr and 36 min on the will call line (along with at least 250 other people). The only 2 people responsible for the will call lines, were not able to handle the amount of people. The concert had already started and only 10% of the will call line had connected there tickets. The line kept growing longer and longer, and out of control. I left the line and tried to come back later to see if it had emptied out. Nothing had been emptied out. And random lines were forming everywhere causing even more chaos and disorder. I cannot deal with standing in line for more than an hour and expect no progress. Out of claustrophobia and desperation, I abandoned the line.

The concert was amazing! Manu Chao drove us to a climax where 8000 people were jumping at the same time. Thumbs up: THe show start on time. Great sound! Thumbs down: Organization. Live Nation asked for Will Call tickets instead to allowed people to print tickets at home. That was a Chaos because everybody had to claim for ticket in a two windows (with two old and slow ladies) office. The results: A lot of people missed almost one hour of the main show. Next time, let people print tickets at home. It is more easy!

Manu Chao is the most audience-friendly band I've ever seen! They were so in tune with their fans and kept coming back for more songs when their fans asked for me. It was great! The outdoor space was wonderful. There was plenty of room for everyone and the outdoors atmosphere added to the spirit of the concert. Not only that, it allowed smokers to smoke without bothering non-smokers. I especially liked that Manu Chao paused the concert to bring attention to anti-immigrant legislation. The timing was perfect. Before or after the concert no one would have listened to the message that was given, but by putting it smack dab in the middle of the concert, everyone was forced to listen. I respect Manu Chao for embracing their important role as leaders in the community and encouraging others to do the same. They picked a perfect venue and I sure hope they come back to Atlanta soon.

Manu Chao did not disappoint. Excellent showmanship! Kept the crowd going almost without a breath. Great show, would highly recommend. Learned that $3 fee to pick ticket ups at a participating outlet is worth is, since the Box office at Bayfront Park is worked by indifferent, very rude employees. Don't count on security to bring any order either.

With no new material, and a solid long-term band Manu Chao has reached Jam Band status. Lots of medleys, less punk, more rock star- with heart nevertheless. I saw the band in Bolivia, new York, and Seattle (no dance floor- weird all of these seated people...). and the Atlanta show had a lot of good vibes, local flavor, nice mix of ages, and very, very tight musicians. It was not crowded- and the Masquerade is a great place to see bands outside, a gentle, grassy slope, room to mosh, or play with your three year old. I wish he would wite more tunes, maybe find a new cause- he kind of seemed mechanical. Maybe playing in the States is hard for him.

Energetic, interactive with the public Manu Chao has at the age of 50 the same vibe he did 20 years ago. He loves doing concerts and it shows, he loves his people and has no fear to let them get on stage and and sing and dance along. He even told the bouncers to stay out of it and stop the concert for a few minutes to greet and pose for pictures. It was truly an unforgettable experience.

I spent an hour and a half trying to get my tickets from the will call booth just to have my girlfriend almost faint in the longest akward line I've ever stand in. I wasn't able to pick my tickets, even thought the concert started with me and hundred more waiting for someone to explain the significant delay. To make it short: spent almost two hours, heard half the concert from the awful line and could not get in, so I lost my money and my time. I'm calling to have a full refund

Those two stars are for Manu Chao and his band. They did a superb job. If I was only going to take this into account I would tell you: do go. However, the organization was simply dreadful. Almost as bad as to make me miss the concert. The Will Call line was miles long and it took me over an hour (I am not exaggerating) to get a ticket I had bought months in advance. It was beyond frustrating. I missed half of the act. So those two stars go to the music show. The rest gets zero.

It was raining a little bit, we got to the line for will call at 8pm, there was a pile of about 500 people waiting, no line, no organization, two windows of a trailer were open for will call for all those people, we waited an hour and 15 min to get our tickets after being pushed around by the mob of people that'd been waiting as well this insane amount of time. Everyone complaining, screaming, pushing & shoving, and the organizers did not intervene, they didn't organize a line or anything, by 9:30pm we got out tickets and as we were walking to the other side -about a block away- to the entrance we saw there was still a huge line of people waiting, needless to say, concert had already started, we missed about half of it. Also, was not happy with the band itself. I've been a fan for many years, the music was poor quality, playing the same rhythms over and over again... boring, monotonous, three encores of the same, ugh....

I had a WONDERFUL time at this concert. No crazy lines, what a nice crowd, but I think that's attributed to the culture of people that enjoy Manu Chao. The venue was great, it was easy to get a drink at any bar. Bathrooms were very clean and always accessible. One of the most fun concerts I've ever been to!

This was an amazing concert, packed venue, you could barely lift your arms, knowledgeable crowd singing and jumping along for 2 hours. I've known Manu Chao ever since he sang with his group La Mano Negra in France. Was thrilled that he stopped in New York. The only part we did not like was the "warm up" act as that group was more depressing than anything else.

What can i say? I went in expecting a pretty solid show, but man, he completely blew everyone away! Everyone on stage was amazing, the crowd was really friendly, the energy was ridiculous throughout the whole show and he played every single song I could have hoped to hear and more. Proxima estacion and clandestino were almost completely played and cool surpirse mano negra songs were so fun to hear. Bob marley and Buena vista social club covers too! DONT miss manu chao if you have the opportunity, and keep in mind, it will probably sell out about a week before, so get your tickets early. MANU CHAO! SUPERCHANGO!

It was the best super high energetic entertainer with souls&hearts&spirits&bodies in my life ever. they were light&hope&punk&R&R&hip hop&rave&dub&messages...! i was totally blown away.. The concert was much awaited by thousands of people in South Florida who have been listening to Manu Chao for years and years and applauding his outspoken music and positive vibes. Funk, Ska, soul and reggae were apparent in concert. My only regret was that in this concert the sound was low!!! This event had the worst organization i have ever seen. We had our tickets in will call, there was no line and very few people working there we arrived 30 minutes before the concert started and we missed 30 minutes of the concert before they decided to let everyone inside, after a little more than 1 hour we didn't even got the chance to pick up our tickets, people started screaming and pushing until the decided to open the door to everyone. we only got the chance to hear 7 songs. I would advice you that you check with your Miami team what is not working with them, this organization does not even happen in South American countries. This was a joke it looked like 7 years old organized the event. Very disappointed.

The atmosphere was incredible, with the almost full moon illuminating the overcast night sky, scattering shadows and moonbeams all over the grass amphitheater. From the minute Manu Chao graced the stage the energy level went through the roof... Good thing this was an open air venue = ) They played non-stop for a little over 2 hours and kept the crowd in the palm of their hands for the entire time. You could literally feel their energy flow off the stage and rush into the huge crowd, being awed and floored with every note. This was one of the most exciting events I have ever been to. My only complaint... it ended too quickly. But all good things must come to an end. If you ever have the chance to see Manu Chao perform, you would be wise to take full advantage of the opportunity,

Manu Chao rocked the house for 2 nonstop sets with a break just long enough to use the bathroom. The energy was unbelievable! The band rocked hard throughout, and the energy just reverberated through the place, with a really responsive audience who knew lyrics and tunes, and belted out refrains. Manu got some call and response going, jammed over it, wore a flag that an audience-member provided... it was clear he really wanted (and got) audience interaction. The band and audience were two typhoons feeding each other. They came back for god knows how many encores.

The will call was horrible, we did not get in until at least 9:40 because of it, and when we got there it was filled with people and we were all the way in the back, so I didn't even get to see Manu Chao play for the whole time, and I am not happy.

The concert was ok. There was no opening act,just manuchao although they played for a good while (approx 2 hrs). It was a suprisingly stripped down set up,which wasn't bad, just not what i expected. the music sounded good.good crowd and vibe.i was surprised at the number of empty seats of the reserved area...on both ends of the amphithearter.
