Wonderful concert. We opted for standing room and so happy we did. Everything happening right in front of us. Arrived early enough to stand against the back rail which was nice until the concert began. After that we danced the entire time.

All in all it was a good show. However they didn't have the jumbro tron (Big tv screen so that everyone can see what is happening on stage) on when Steve Winwood played and that meant that most of the crowd couldn't see anyhting. The sound was great but I was seated in the first level and everyone looked like ants. Santana was good but I could have done without his political views.

Steve Winwood did some of the favorites everyone wants to hear, but I'm not sure his band wanted to play them. Something off there. Santana and the huge back-up group, were fabulous! The music was all familiar and fantastically arranged. Both drum guys were great, the horns were a welcome addition and both singers have wonderful voices. Could have done with a little less "preaching", but all in all it was my favorite Santana show.

Santana sure knows how to rock on the guitar. The music was awesome, but his rambling on about Obama and the Bible, were a bit too much. I was at the concert to hear some great music, but almost felt like I was at a Democratic convention of some sort.

Santana, and all other musicians, who take advantage of a stage and a mic to talk politics is disgusting. And that's just what he did last night. Santana did not make his fame by campaigning for D.C., he did it with his amazing talent for music. I did not pay to listen to him talk about his opinion. If I wanted to attend a rally for either side, I'd stand outside our capitol. Unfortunately, this has left such a bad taste in my mouth, any of his music I hear on the radio with be tainted with this concert image. Not cool, Santana, not cool.

The first time seeing Carlos Santana. I took my son who is 23 and we were not sure what to expect and we both were impressed by the show. It was a pretty diverse group of people but you knew who the grew up with them. We had floor seating (last row) which were good seats except when people stood up. But how could you not. As always, you wish they could play every song.

There is no one like Carlos Santana, and he was true to form last night. He's amazing to watch and one of the few lead guitars who knows how to play a melody with interest. In short, he was absolutely compelling. All of the drums and the keyboard were top notch. The absolute best. And everyone of them cute as could be. The bass player was an utter distraction. I might have been a little crabby last night but I wanted to jump up on stage and choke him. He may have done a good job on the bass, I don't know. His goofy 'limelight' expressions and movements were so distracting I had to block him out. The 2 lead vocals had powerful, beautiful voices. I did not, however think they were appropriate for the music. I wanted to tell them to 'de-richen', flatten out. This is Carlos Santana, not Donna Summer. But, being the generally polite human I am, I said nothing.

The Santana concert was amazing! Steve Winwood was marginal. He performance was good, but, because I'm not a follower, I only knew two of his songs. Santana, on the other hand, was simply amazing. He's still git it! If you have the chance, GO!

This was a high energy show that just kept on coming. The band is fantastic, and the leader, Carlos Santana is a joy to watch. He plays guitar better than anyone and he does it with great passion. The jam sessions were incredible, as my wife says they don't play as many songs because they play such long version of great songs. Carlos played the old stuff as well as new covers. It was a tribute to rock. Great show!

Winwood was great though he did not say much to the crowd. And even though Santana got a little preachy, it was all good. The instrumentals rocked. So nice to hear that sometimes over all the loud singing and "show". This concert was about musicians and they were truly awesome.

Santana was absolute amazing. So much energy. Amazing guitar playing. two ok, high energy singers, nor Rob Thomas grade but good. highly recommended. Winwood seemed a bit shy but did great. He deserved a better intro than he got (none.) He still has amazing vocal strength but had a few off moment during Back in the High Life Again. He had more fun playing the same venue with Clapton. It probably did not help him and he nursed a bum leg.

We were disappointed - the sound quality was the worst ever experienced at Xcel center and we've seen many concerts there. No large video screens for Winwood. Both artists played unrecognized songs. It was as if we paid them to sit in one of their jam sessions. Left early. Glad we didn't pay full price for tickets.

Stevie Winwwod was fantastic... perhaps the best 1 hour of live rock I've ever heard. Santana I ahve seen several times now and I don't need to see him again real soon.... way too loud (painful). He's impressive but.......next time can be in a smaller arena/venue. Also, Santana has become too preachy.......

This was my third time seeing Santana live, and the first of the three concerts that I actually enjoyed. The other two were hampered by either a poor sound system (the first one, at which he was opening for Bob Dylan at the MN State Fair), or an odd lack of energy (the second, on the "Supernatural" tour in Minneapolis, during which an unannounced Prince showed up, but unfortunately for only one song). This time, it may have been because it was many years later and my expectations were low, but this concert was a lot of fun--despite the fact that there were a few of his regular classics missing from the setlist, which was likely abbreviated because of a local curfew. On Mystic Lake Casino grounds under an imposing, overcast sky, Carlos and band delivered a 100-minute performance that was a joyous affair right from the start, rife with personality and of course great musicianship. With Carlos' wife Cindy Blackman Santana providing powerful drums, the band roared through a choice of songs that, while not perfect, still held the audience's attention from the beginning to the end. It's hard to pick a favorite, but for me it's either "Jingo" or "Oye Como Va", both of which had just volcanic percussion. A big surprise was Enya's 1988 new age/pop anthem "Orinoco Flow (Sail Away)", recast here as a fun Latin-funk romp. Personality-wise, Carlos let his guitar do most of the talking for him, but he did engage the audience a few times. At 69, the man doesn't have anything to prove anymore, but he just peeled off one fiery solo after another. I came away from this concert finally 'getting it'--and I'd like to see him again one day, this time indoors, with no curfew to worry about.

My wife was a big fan of Santana. Myself - well, I knew many of their songs but had never gone out of my way to listen to a full CD other than amongst a good shuffle with other music. But I took the opportunity to grab some tickets while we were in town for work. I must admit though, the evening was great. The outdoor venue was perfect after a warm day. The night had cooled but it wasn't cold, but Carlos and the band quickly warmed everyone up. And he and the entire band didn't miss a beat the whole night. His guitar work was (I guess expectedly) impressive, his wife on drums was also great, but they were supported by a whole bunch of great musicians. The two younger singers were also fantastic and worked well together. In the end I thoroughly enjoyed the whole evening and couldn't pick fault with any song. It was just lively, energetic, upbeat music that just made you want to dance (or tap your foot, if more reserved in your display of enjoyment!).

Santana concert was outstanding in every aspect. His music, his philosophy, his family and beliefs represent a human being who has continued to share his talent and emotions with everyone since his early days. He incorporates very subtle messages and reflects the sign of the times. His surprise guest George Lopez and then honoring Dolores Huerta. Also having Jimmie Vaughn on stage sharing the spotlight was awesome. His wife Cindy was astounding! As was the other members in the band...his concert allows everyone to display their talents. My husband and I bought VIP tickets to the concert and took Uber all the way from the Woodlands. All was good, nothing negative to say about that. The facility itself is great and seems to be well organized and has a good sound system. Although we did not eat, the food looked delicious the wine was a little pricey and the selection was limited. They need to change the wine selection as the wine they had was not very good at all. Santana did a great job. We would like to see more groups like him that cater to the baby boomers.

Upon seeing his show a few months ago whereby his entire set list was truly his greatest hits, I chose to opt for the "Intimate evening package" on this particular evening. A table with a bottle of wine and chocolate dipped strawberries. As it turned out the view was partially obstructed (which was unbelievable for cost). Santana himself chose that night to be a barker for a foundation and was preachy too much of the evening. And the music though good was NOT a greatest hits set list. Very dissapointed!

I've been a Santana fan for 40 years. I thought the show is just average. I saw him in Red Rocks in July and yes I know there's no comparison between an indoor venue and red rocks. That being said this show had too much new material and only the four Classics out of 2 hours show. Still a huge fan. I would go see him again.

Love Santana, he is incredible talent, but he just turned 70, and it is showing in his performance , energy, improvisation. I'm not sure if the group of musicians he was playing with was newly formed, or the reason was the one I mentioned before, but it was not worth $300 spent on 2 tickets. We still had fun, but he is not top notch live performer anymore. That's the reality.

Santana still has it! He's 70 now but hasn't lost a lick. His eight piece band with three percussionists was tight and high energy, they played a good mix of classics and new tunes and held the stage for two solid amazing hours. A highlight was Soul Sacrifice, intro'ed with video from Woodstock. The crowd, as they say, went wild. Don't miss Santana, if he comes to a venue near you.

I am a big Santana fan but was very disappointed in the Dailey s Amphitheater. We had good seats. There are two really big speakers so they try to make up for the odd design by turning up the volume. It was so loud you could not make out the words of the new songs. I went to guest services and spoke to three sets of employees in different locations in the theater to try and figure out where I might purchase tickets for future concerts. No area were better than where we sat. Bad all the way around. I spoke with other attendees that had been to this location before. They said although this was the worse they have encountered, none of the concerts had good sound. The sound was great by the car once in the parking lot!

I last saw Santana at the New Orleans Pop Festival in 1969. While it was almost 50 years, Carlos Santana provide a remarkable performance at age 72. Only Santana performed for two hours with a encore of 30 minutes. Excellent choices in old hits and his current songs kept everyone dancing and rocking all night. Highly recommend seeing this icon of rock and roll. One of the best concert seen. Plus inviting Derek Trucks as a guest performer took this concert over the top. Rock on Santana!!!

Santana was amazing both individually and as a band. They are unified and very talented. I have not seen them in over 30 years and they exceed expectations.

He got the crowd off their seats early with Maria Maria, went to some old school Samoan Pa Ti and hammered it with soul Sacrifice w Cindy Blackman-Santana doing her drum solo that brought the crowd wanting more.

Wow!!! What a night. Santana totally performed like no other could. From the moment he stepped on stage, the entire band showed us how quality musicians can rock our night. We were on our feet most of the concert. Santana did not disappoint and we left with smiles on our faces & great memories. One of the best concerts in our lifetime & we've been to many.

Santana is a great show man, very interactive with the audience, love how spiritual he is too. He isn't selfish, letting his band mates do solos and shine. Loved how his wife, Cindy is in his band and what a percussionist!

As usual, just an amazing show. Carlos and the band came on stage and without the usual delays played for 2 1/2 hrs before taking, literally a 2 minute break, and played another hour. Always interacts with the crowd, i just wish he was in San Diego more often.

We planned our trip to Vegas around the show. Santana is a master. We purchased VIP tickets and had a table with great sightlines to the stage. The venue is an intimate setting and wonderful place to see such a great artist. The staff was very pleasant and cordial and entry to the venue was completely painless. All in all an incredible night. He played for 2 1/2 hours. Great energy and great emotion. Definitely an unforgettable night.

It was the official first night of his residency in House of Blues, Mandalay Bay in Vegas and Carlos didn't let us down! From the first note till the last it was a perfect show. Lot's of solos from excellent soloists, including his wife on drums! Duel trombone solos! You read that right! Great singing and the magic of Carlos on guitar makes any evening great! The place was PACKED and he played 30 minutes overtime to an exhilarated audience. Worth the trip for sure!

Santana put on a great show. This was one of the best concerts I've ever seen. He can still rock the house and I was surprised at the length of the show. Would definitely go see him again.

Great performance by the original Santana. The fact that it was standing room only really was not a bother except for the punk kid that pushed his way to the front after we all stood there for 2 hours before the music started. I was disappointed that security did not ask him to go back after we told them. He just pushed his way up and stood directly in front of us. Oh well, can't let one punk kid ruin your night. Other than that it was great.

Bought these tickets for my mom as a birthday gift and based from her reaction when she got home; she was so happy she got to see him. Now she is hoping Earth, Wind & Fire come to Hawaii again for a concert. And said she wouldn't mind getting those tickets too. LOL gotta love her.
