Rick Springfield s June 29th show with the Nashville Symphony was absolutely wonderful! I have seen his concerts with his band, his Stripped Down Show, his show with Richard Marx & now with the Nashville Symphony, all have been great! I was very curious & excited to see how a Rocker was going to perform with a symphony, he did not disappoint!!! His energy (as always) was unbelievable & his band along with the symphony made for an outstanding experience! I would highly recommend if you get a chance to see a show like this, you should! The city of Nashville made for an all around wonderful trip!

Rick Springfield was my big celebrity crush in high school. Went to every concert in the 80 s with my best friends. We knew every word, sang every song, and bought the t-shirt to wear to school the next day! This concert was pretty much the same thing. I was there with a few thousand friends ! We knew every word, sang every song and bought the t-shirt! Rick hasn t lost anything over time! Great concert! Loved the symphony playing his music! My husband even had a great time!!! I d definitely go again!

Great show. Good mix of new and old songs. He was in amazing shape both vocally and physical. For a guy almost 60 he jumped around the stage like he was 30 again. Worked the crowd into a frenzy and the women of all ages went crazy. I saw him many years ago and he is still one of the best showman out there !!!!! Tight back up band and everyone was a PRO!!! See him again anytime.

OMG! Last night's show was incredible. I can't believe Rick Springfield is going to be 60 soon. He still rocks harder than a lot of the young "upstarts". This "Jesse's girl" was more than satisfied with his performance. A total steal at $22.50.

The show was so much fun and Rick knows how to work a crowd! Looked like he was having a good time as always. Saw him last year in Cerritos and he was great then! I also almost walked right into him in a restaurant in Las Vegas at Planet Hollywood at the Strip (Steakhouse) Lucky encounter. Very talented...hope to hear his stuff again on the radioi and more on satelitte!

I wasn't sure what to expect...I wasn't his #1 fan back in the day, but did like some of his top hits. And my husband barely knew him at all, given Rick Springfield wasn't exactly super big in Scotland. But boy were we pleasantly surprised - he had a good combination of old and new songs, and despite some guitar difficulties he played it off with humor plus a lot of instrument and rose smashing! Well worth the ticket price (which was also a bargain - see him plus got into the OC Fair for $10/person).

I have seen RIck in concert three times now, which is not as many as some die hard fans, however, this was the best show yet! Even better than his show at the fair last summer! I love the Val Air Ballroom for concerts, the atmosphere is relaxed and intimate. Even if you are in the back of the room, the sound is great and you could still see Rick rocking it out! And, for those who want to sit and relax, it is available. Rick Springfield is still rocking 30 years later, and I will not miss his next show when he comes back to Des Moines!

I think he has more energy than most people half his age and really puts his all in a show! He really gets close to his audience, By going into the audience! He is very brave! This was my first Rick Springfield concert and I was really impressed. I have been a fan of Rick's since the early 80s, but never had a chance to see him in concert. My bedroom walls were covered with pictures and posters of Rick!! It was great to hear him sing many of his old songs, as well as include songs from his newest CDs. Rick still looks good after all these years. If you've ever been a fan, I'd recommend seeing him in concert if he comes to a city near you. Long live the 80s!!!

After Rick not playing at Potawatomi for several years, he returned for a 2 night gig, April 27 & 28th. Each night, they played different songs from both older, and newer albums. He comes out into the audience, as he always does, for his 2 popular hits, "Don't Talk to Strangers" and "Human Touch". The crowd loves that! All and all, he puts on a great show. Both nights were sold out, and probably could of added another night, as he has a strong fan following.

Great show! This was a scaled down acoustic show with click tracks he made on his computer for some songs and had a video presentation behind him. Video showed pictures, memes, funny videos, all pertaining to each song and story he was telling and performing. Alot of fun. Rick has a great personality and a sense of humor. We were lucky to meet him after the show and get a guitar signed, some video and pics. He was real cool.

Like a fine wine, Rick Springfield seems to get better with age. Despite the venue - a casino theater where drinks served during the concert can seem intrusive - Rick played classic hits and new songs in a high energy two-hour show. I'm well into the double digits seeing a Rick Springfield concert, and none has ever disappointed. He is respectful of fans, and takes the "Jessie's Girl" fixation in stride and with humor. Solid band, including sub drummer Joel Taylor, made for a fun night. It's always cool to watch musicians who know each other enjoy playing together. That was definitely apparent during the May 12 concert. And Rick, whose energy and boyish charm are ageless, seemed to be loving every moment.

Rick hasn't lost a beat! Great energy and performance. The video wall behind the band also adds to the excitement. Good mix of classic hits and his newer material. Rick's band members are all great musicians. The Uptown Theater itself was a decent venue. The sound was good and loud (like we like it). The staff was a bit over zealous on video recording (which Rick usually promotes) but it did not take away from the overall experience.

First time seeing Rick Springfield, and it was worth the wait. I have been a fan since high school in the early 80's. Up close and personal with the acoustic sets of both him and Richard Marx made for a very intimate evening. I would love to enjoy this show again, and would recommend to any fan of these two. This isn't the Rick Springfield I remember from the concerts I attended in the 80's. This one is better! His new music has an edge and maturity that earlier pieces hinted at, but mostly hid behind mainstream sound and lyrics. The twists he added to the old favorites were refreshing and fun (the video before Jessie's Girl!!!). And the covers were fantastic! While this show was pared down from the bigger venues I remember him performing at, he still gave me goosebumps.

It was a fantastic, unbelievable evening of music and stories! Loved seeing these guys in a more "intimate" setting. Not having a band and seeing them after their "hey days", made for an interesting and actually informational night! In this setting, we didn't mind a "long" story about the upcoming song or even their personal and family life. They still are amazing guitar players and their voices are still so good. In this type of concert (acoustic), there was a lot of interaction and sing-alongs, which made it an even cooler! It was almost 3 hours in length and we didn't want it to end! Well worth the money and time to see them in a setting like this!

Let me start off by saying my husband loved the show!!! It was our 32nd anniversary, so he went with 2 Rick Springfield fans for life! She & I have been Rick Springfield crazies for 35 years but not until the last several years have we really gone to many of his concerts! This was the 5th one in 2 years(with band & stripped down) & was by far the BEST one yet!! Don t get me wrong, all are great but this one just had such a laid back personal feel! Richard Marx was the perfect choice for this double header! The stories they told, the jokes, the interaction with the audience and both are so talented on the music side, it was wonderful! I hope the chance comes around to see them again & Rick don t ever stop touring!!!

These guys are the real deal. I went to their concerts in the 80's. They're voices are just as amazing if not better. By the time the concert was over, I felt like I had just spent an evening with two close friends. They both told funny stories so we shared some laughs. Rick shared the loss of his mum last year and father in '81 and the songs he had written, and we cried. This venue is perfect for this kind of "stripped down" show.

Wow- what a great night of music. Richard Marx and Rick Springfield together are a dream pairing. Both artists have beautiful voices and interact so wonderfully with the audience and each other. They performed all their expected hits with a few twists thrown in. True musicians and artists that will pleasantly surprise you with their talent if you ve never seen them before.

They both did an almost show.. down to earth!! Learn some things about their lives s and connect with their feelings and emotions of lose and triumphs in their way up in becoming famous!! Beautifully done!!

Everything about this event was amazing! It was my first time at Penns Peak and I loved the venue. It was a great place to see a concert! This was my third time seeing Rick Springfield and he is an outstanding performer! He has so much energy that you just want to get up and dance! Even just having had surgery on his arm, he did not let up for a second. Every song was fun and he even made his usual trip into the audience to see his fans. He is a class act and just as amazing, if not more so, as he was back in the 80s!! Love him!!

Penn s Peak is a great venue. The sound was fantastic and our seats were great. Traffic was very easy getting in and out. Very efficient and helpful staff.

I loved the location due to the fact that it was a smaller venue. I had great seats but with the set up any seat would have been great. Loved how he went out into the crowd to interact.

If you're on the fence about seeing this amazing performer, go! He just seems to get better with age! Something for everyone, he performs all his hits from the 80's, along with a few new songs from his latest album, Rocket Science. He's so personable and engages with the audience a lot, getting down into the crowd with Human Touch and letting audience members help him sing Don't Talk To Strangers! I've seen him 7 or so times and he honestly sounds great! A fun show for all!

It was entertaining, unexpected and more cover songs than anticipated. It would have made more sense if the cover songs were of fellow '80's artists; however he covered contemporary female artists. His interaction with the audience was endearing. Worth going if you're a fan!

Saw Rick when I was 12. Not again until last year at 46. This year I saw him at the Sands. His energy level is amazing and his voice sounds the same. Rick really connects with his fans and makes himself real and accessible. I did the sound check meet and greet before the show and it is a memory I will keep forever. He played all his classic songs plus a few new ones from his current album. He even does a cover of Katy Perry's "Roar" and Taylor Swift's "Shake it off" showing he is up on today's pop. I will continue going to his shows until he stops touring.

I wasn t a big fan of Rick Springfield but I am now what an amazing and incredible performance he gave 150%+++ This was a fantastic concert to experience. He was truly awesome on the guitar and his involvement with the fans priceless! When he called some young girls up on stage to when he walked through the crowds on the chairs singing Human Touch perfection! I am so glad I went had me singing his songs for days and downloading them on iTunes. My goodness this man will soon be 68 years old and he had the energy and voice of a 28-year-old not once did he stop unless he was engaging his audience pure entertainment - fabulous energy. The crowd loved him. Not entertainment at the highest level.
