POP NYE

Best event ever !!! I cried my heart out when new world punk played "i cry" by bingo players i thought that was sweet and it was sad how bingo players couldnt make it. My favorite part was when they introduced Nero to the stage that was awesome !! Wished that there wasent a huge line to get onto the main stage but overall it was pretty awesome.

If you havent gone here, youre missing so much of your life!

Incredible experience and the energy was amazing- lighting and all the acts took us on an incredible journey!!

Yet another great experience. However, we that paid for general admission were not granted all access that were promised, especially to the main dance floor. Paid $100 and was only able to stay in the area that people paid way less for. The securities were ridiculously, poorly organized and they would constantly misinform the attendees.

The music was great and it was cool that they allowed LED light gloves and such, but the floor got packed too quickly and most people got stuck in the seats.

Event was amazing. Above and beyond was incredible. Great crowd. Staff did a good job too

I purchased two tickets, one for me and one for a friend. Got my ticket scanned and I was in the doors. My friend got his ticket scanned and they told him that the ticket had already been used by someone else. The lady was nice enough to still let him in.

All of the artists performed incredible sets. The live vocalists added another good element to the mix. My only issue is the price of the drinks ($13 for a beer?!) and that the dance floor was relatively empty and security would not let people on any longer.

The line up was great, and the artists did not disappoint. However, I was surprised when the staff closed off the bottom bowl to people who bought tickets to the bottom bowl, such as myself. Should I have known this I would have not spent the extra 50 dollars and saved the money and bough upper level tickets, where I spent the majority of the show. If you go to another skills event, wait until the last minuet to buy tickets to the upper level. You'll save more money.

I've been to several "DJ events" like POPNYE over the last three years, and POPNYE was, without question, the best one thus far. Dash Berlin's set was my favorite that night.

This event was absolutely perfect. If you got there on time, you had no trouble getting on the floor but they understandably had to close down the floor for safety reasons once it reached capacity. They did let people know beforehand that this would happen, so if people still showed up late and couldn't get on to the floor, it was their own fault. Dyloot was a great opener as people filed into the stadium. His light show was very bright, almost to the point of discomfort (stage left front spotlight right below the DJ table was pointed directly at eye level and was blinding people on the floor to the point where it ruined your night eyes and you really couldn't see anything). Then W & W came on stage and KILLED it. W & W will only continue to get bigger once "Lift Off" and their "Waiting" and "Silence" remixes inevitably become standards in any trance set. If you have an opportunity to see them, do it. You will not be disappointed. Above and Beyond also melted faces. They even let a girl come up on stage to push the button for the drop on 'Sun & Moon' for her birthday (she brought a sign asking if she could and they obliged). They had great production, awesome video visuals as well as a sick light show. Betsie Larkin came out for about 10 minutes before Andy Moor v. Lange came out, and this was pretty much the intermission. Everyone on the floor filed to the back where the food, alcohol, water, and bathrooms were. It was nearly impossible to move, and eventually security started yelling at people and bringing down the vibe. As much as it brought down the vibe, it was necessary as it was just bottlenecked and no one could go anywhere. Dash Berlin came out at 11 and everything was just absolutely perfect from this point on. The production had a great countdown and the light show, visuals, and music were the perfect way to bring in the New Year. He also kept running around the stage pumping up the crowd and giving out t-shirts and signed records. Also, during his set, dancers started throwing out those LED foam sticks until probably 60% of the crowd had them. That was absolutely incredible, and really brought the crowd and the DJ together. Ferry Corsten started playing right at 1230 and brought the roof down. He really knows how to throw a party. Betsie Larkin came out to sing her and Ferry's two most popular songs, and the acoustics were awesome, the sound levels were great, and her voice was beautiful. This is how trance is supposed to be, and it was a moment of pure trance that must be experienced to be understood. Overall, this was a perfect production. I would highly HIGHLY recommend attending POPNYE next year, 2013/2014, as it is the best way to start a positive new year with an entire stadium of friends.

It was amazing! The line up was great and the music was amazing. Usually there is one artist that blows but not this time. Just truly amazing show!

Tickets were received in email and printed out with no inconvenience! Event was perfect for a new year's celebration and I was very satisfied with my overall experience with ticketmaster and the concert. I will not hesitate to go again next year!

If I pay for something, I expect to get it. This was new years and I was separated from my friends because they "sold too many tickets for floor level" There were hundreds of people not let down, this is unprofessional and a waste of my money. Skills events is the worst, pull it together.

Lineups were great. The only downside was that they ran out of bottle waters at 12am

I'm a big fan of skills but I think they really blew it this time. When I bought my ticket it was not clear that they were overselling the capacity of the floor. When I arrived at 7 the floor was at capacity. Soon after they blocked access to our lower level of seating which prevented us from going to the bathroom or getting drinks. When I go to an event like this I like to know what I'm getting. If they where clear ahead of time our group of 7 would probably not have come. (However if they had guaranteed floor access we would have happily paid more) Also, A&B with an early set didn't help the progression of the night.

Bought general admission tickets and was not given the advantages a general admission ticket holder possesses. Was only allowed in seating area and never on the dance floor regardless of how much space there was in the dance floor. Very dissapointed with this event. The customer service at Oracle was horrible! They were not cooperative at all!! If I knew I wouldn't be allowed into the dance floor even with general admission tickets I would have just bought upper level tickets and save my money. I feel I was ripped off!

Me and all of my friends paid the extra money to buy General Admission tickets to make sure that we would all be able to party together on the main dance floor. Everyone was given the same type of wristband upon entry and the lower floor was flooded with people who obviously did not buy general admission tickets considering how quickly they had originally sold out. Out of nearly 50 people only 3 of my friends were actually on the lower level with me..we had planned to all spend the new year having an amazing time together dancing but weren't able to due to poor organization of the event. Not to mention the money wasted.

Amazing sound and visuals from the floor and the balconies. Clean bathrooms, plenty of space to dance even on upper level. Event staff readily available to help those in need.

Though very crowded, it was extremely fun! The only problem was having little room to dance IMO, that's because I didn't get floor tickets ):

It was super great. I liked everything but they should've given pillows to the people on the lower level for the pillow fight. And I also think you guys should have let everybody on the ground section. There was plenty of space. But overall everything was great.

The event itself was fun. However the security check was super slow and we were freezing in at a winter night for over an hour without coat.

The service was awesome! Water stations were easy to find and restrooms were very clean. Combo ticket had access to everywhere and City Nation Club was awesome! The staff are friendly and helpful! The state was big and the floor was spacious. However, I like the 360 degree stage from last year better. I live in SF and took BART to oracle and it was very convenient. This is my second year in a row at popnye and I will be there for the third time too.

The music was not that great. The alcohol was overpriced and parking price was rediculous. The music could have been better. I would not go to a rave again.

Lights were amazing and dada life put on an amazing show. Some of the openers were mediocre but it want too bad. Had soooo much fun!

POPNYE 2015 was fun. The lineup was okay, I was looking forward for Dada Life and they were the best. It was worth it to get the combo tickets because you do not have to wait in a long line and can quickly get to the event. If you were to get a lower only ticket which is cheaper, you would have to wait in a long line. Dada Life should have been the one to do the count down for the new year and I wished they played for a longer time frame. it was a good experience. The AC was on full blast, so make sure you wear something warm. Go to POPNYE if you want to save some money. Hopefully next year lineup will be better.

Sucks! Line up is sorry. Not much leg room for dancing in the arena.

POP is our new new years eve tradition. So much fun! Get the lower level combo tickets so you can walk around like a normal rave.

I can honestly say that SKILLS cannot book bonafied DJ's. Instead are featuring a hosh-posh of subpar and unoriginal amateurs. hoping they will stick The whole event was ruined by the hords of security killing the vibe and the restricting access for some of the ravers. The whole venue should be general access. The lights were ok, but it's not Ibiza. No more SKILLS events for me. If you wanna have a good time, skip any POP NYE.

Good indoor rave. Have nothing much to complain about.

This was the 2nd year attending POPNYE and all though I liked that we had pricing options on what levels to buy and hang out in, I thought it was unfair that we couldn't have a mutual area to see friends who bought tickets in a different area.

The wait outside to get in was horrid. There were like 3 lines. To get ID checked, bag checked, and then tickets/wristbands. It was freezing as hell ans the line was ridiculous. There wasn't any really structure or organization as to where the lines were. Anyone could cut in front of you or something. But when we got inside, it was soo fun! It was really an amazing sight to be in the presence of some of EDM's biggest djs. Although there could have been more ambiance boosts or crowd getting activities. What makes these kinds of events truly magical is the company you have with you. I went with this guy I have been seeing and his two friends and to have that midnight kiss with him at POP NYE was amazing. Thanks!!!!

Highly recommended based on line-up alone! Plenty of bathrooms and water stations. Only major complaint is that with floor tickets I was unable to go to lower bowl for seating or visiting friends.

Poor base, and overall unimpressive sound. Almost the same price as, Beyond Wonderland but not even close in terms of talent or entertaining.

Lights and Lasers were great! Awesome event! My only complaint was that we had to step into about 4 different lines before getting in. Could have been compressed a little bit. Not to mention that it was freezing cold out. Perhaps put out some heaters or something next time.

This year's event for POPNYE line up was awesome, however with the new updated 360 stage I felt there was too many objects interfering for those on floor to see the DJ's.

The performances were amazing, lights and actual venue layout was good, music wasn't too loud. Having water refill stations was very beneficial. Only downside: waiting in line outside in 35º weather for over an hour for security was awful... makes the TSA look efficient.

This POPNYE had a lot of meaning to me. It was my Rave-iversary, my 21st birthday, and the start of an amazing year. That being said it was an amazing experience, people I didn't know bought me birthday shots, bartender was SUPER generous and the performances were great (albeit they ALL repeated songs). It was definitely a great way to end one year and start another. Definitely recommended to noobies. My only gripe however is the inability to move between floors. Each year they get more strict on level access and raise the prices. SMH

They keep everyone outside took forever to get inside I think they hired TSA to search people going in wasted a hour waiting to get in I don't get y they search so hard they never find anything just waste a bunch of time

The music and sound system was all good. Nice set by Armin van Buuren. The fact that people can buy tickets for different areas ruined the atmosphere more than I expected before the event. People on the lower area with seating started to "claim" seats and since the event was far from sold out big empty areas were in each area. We were very surprised that there were no lockers for rent or a wardrobe to at least leave your coat on the very cold night, resulting in a lot of people dragging their stuff with them the entire event and people walking close to naked in very low temperatures outside. As this was our first party in the US we don't know how other events handle these things, but compared to similar events in The Netherlands its a lack in service.

Armin was great, 1 hour security line w/ ridiculously slow security personel and 10 total metal detectors was not.

The line up was great for a one day event. The stage and visuals were amazing as well. But getting in was ridiculous. My group arrived at 8 and did not get in until 10. We were all stoked to see Armin (set 830-1015) but due to line after line we were only able to see 15 minutes of his set. The security lines where they pat you down and check your stuff was not even separated by sex. Which makes no sense, that is a simple way to make getting in go faster. Since girls naturally wear less than men it is faster to check them and get them through. But instead we were in a big clump of people, no organization. My group consisted of four girls (including myself) who did not anticipate waiting outside for 2 hours, we were absolutely freezing. I've been to plenty of events in my life many of them with a lot more people in attendance and it has only taken 30-45 min tops to get in. I was very dissapointed.

I had a lot of fun listening to the artists, running around with friends old and new, and I enjoyed all the good vibes!

So this was my 6th rave ever(first one was in October this year 2014) I hadn't thought about going to raves till one of my amazing new friends convinced me to come along, I said "what the heck sure" got my ticket for $160, all I have to say is best $160 I have ever spent! The lines took a while to get though but we got in during the beginning of Armin Van Buurens set HIS SET WAS AMAZING!(main reason why we all went) FireBeatz was fantastic, Bingo Players was everything I had expected(awesome!), and even though I only got to see W&W for about 15min because our party had to leave at 1 those were some awesome 15 min! Everyone there was awesome and friendly(got a little rough after Armin's set but nothing to bad) I WISH MORE OF MY FRIENDS WOULD SEE PAST THE RAVER STEREOTYPE AND GO TO MORE EVENTS LIKE THESE!!!

The gates opened only at 6:40 pm instead of 6:00 pm. We were left cold in the long line for more than one and a half hour.

Lines were ridiculously long. Waited over an hour and a half. Alcohol was $15 a shot. Tiered tickets so we weren't allowed to go through the different levels. They weren't even sold out. More than half the seats were still available. Too much equipment on stage, couldn't get good view from some spots. Waaaay too much white LEDs. The light show was mediocre. They should make use of their walls by putting lights on them. At least water was free.

Great event. SKILLS always kills it. Visuals and sound system was great as well. Could have used more mist though. Other than that it was awesome.

DJs were great, lights were amazing, sound could have been better.

OMG! This rave was badass! The lights, the lasers, the booming bass! I got lower 100 level cuz it was cheaper and I got to sit. Armin killed it, even before getting on stage! He chilled with the floor ravers before taking the rotating stage! It wasn't as expensive as some raves, nor the cheapest, but $120 was well spent! Don't park there and pay $35! Also make sure to be near 1st in line cuz we had to wait like 40 mins extra to start going in! Have a camelbak. I went alone but I shouldn't have. Bring a friend or date. This night was phenomenal!

PopNye was amazing, once i was inside everything was amazing. Only thing i didn't like compared to insomniac is that waiting in line took forever.

It was great. I just wish it wasn't so cold but hey, we didn't stand outside forever.

This event was great, I would recommend going with a friend or a group of people who make events like this better. The music could have had some more variety since I saw other NYE videos having some rap/hip-hop and edm mixes played but overall I had a great NYE 2014 and you will too next year!

I've been to pop nye 3 consecutive years and by far this was a horrid time for my friends and I. Restricting the event in sections is the worse idea ever and only a scam for them to make money. Limited seating area due to low staff and don't get me started on the bar. 2 bars, 4 bartenders for the whole floor!!!! Took me 1 hour inline to get a beer. An event like this they make so much money but they can even make time time enjoyable. Last rave ever. Pop you suck.

The entrance was slow and cold. Bottleneck at the door, could've been done much more efficiently. Missed out on two hours of the show.

This event was extremely traumatizing. Waited in the cold line almost 2 hours and the line was not moving. This event was just carried out poorly... Skills has been doing these events for a while now, I would think they would be getting better and better each time. I would never attend skills events anymore.......

Pop NYE was absolutely amazing and I had the time of my life. The atmosphere and the energy of the crowd was so positive and upbeat that it was impossible to be unhappy. Everyone was super friendly and welcoming and even though I didn't know many people on my floor, I still ended up socializing with a bunch of people and making a lot of new friends. Pop NYE had several really good performers as well, and I woke up sore from all of the dancing I did. I will definitely be back next year. However, the wait to get in was super long. It took us a full hour to get through security.

Ah, New Years once again. this is the second POP NYE event I attended. Pop events itself are now interesting as the stage is 360; unlike any other event out there. The speakers themselves are pretty good. However I was on a tight budget this time around and could only afford the upper level. BIG MISTAKE. Security is getting more strict for pop events and not only does it take longer to get past the lines, but now you can't even roam sections. Wherever you buy is pretty much where you stay the whole night. This makes is hard to meet up with friends that are elsewhere. Another thing: the sound from the upper level is horrible. It sounds too muffled and drowned out, it just makes the overall experience not worthwhile. So if you're going to go to a POP event, buy lower. Other than that, I noticed the lights we're improved, the confetti drops increased as well. Alcohol and bathroom lines are long as usual and the price for parking is ridiculous ($35 seriously?) But I do like the venue and I will continue going to Pop events in the meantime.

Been to many massives, never experienced such a moving experience as this. Nicest crowd, like one family, words cannot explain.

This event was last minute but I had an amazing time.

Skills delivered yet again with a great event. I've been going to their shows since 2009 and they continue to be the best promoter in the Bay Area for big events. After the untimely passing of one of the members of the Bingo Players, Skills got Markus Schulz and Ferry Corsten (together called the New World Punx) to do an extended, 3.5 hour set. And boy, what a set it was! They dwarfed Moguai, Madeon, and Nero, whose sets seemed somewhat phoned in. Markus's and Ferry's set seemed like it took no time at all. The production was awesome too, with huge LED screens, and epic lights and sound. The rotating stage was great too as it provided an even distribution of people along the dance floor. Can't wait to be back for another Skills event soon :)

This POP event sucked. The line to get to the dance floor was over an hour long. They should have sold tiered tickets and made you pay extra to get to the floor. I will not be attending any more of these. The lineup was terrible. We actually left the event at 12:30am. Two thumbs down.

POPNYE was unforgettable. The lineup, namely Madeon, Nero, and Bingo Players(RIP), sold me on it. Aside from a few minor organization and random things, the entire show blew me away. If you truely love the music, this is the show for you. The floor was pretty solid, nothing like a Bassnectar floor but great vibes all around. Definitely going again!

The event was amazing and I had a damn blast! Best way to start the new year but New World Punx killed the vibe when they came on.

This was my first rave so I was a little nervous at first but it was aboslutely amazing! The line-up was great, the lights/decorations were insane, the countdown was beautiful, everything contributed to a wonderful first experience. I loved it!

Music was awesome. Lights were good but disapointed there were no lasers. Security was normal. Venue was the biggest let down. There was a minimum 30 minute line to get on the floor. The line was in a hallway where you couldn't hear or see the concert. You also had to wait about 15 mins in line before you got far enough along for someone to inform you it would take another 15-30 mins. Our group waited 15 mins just to turn around and head back up to the seated area. Never going to Oracle again.

The glow sticks were not confiscated!! It made the event beautiful especially when the lights go down.

Great production, water refill station was very handy! Loved being able to bring a camelbak and led lights! I was able to keep myself and my friends hydrated because skills allowed camelbaks! Thank you, skills! And the plur angels did such a great job!

Was an amazing night just didn't like not knowing once you leave the floor you need to wait in line again. They should make people aware of that.

Omg...so amazing...the rotating stage was very cool and the music was fantastic. What a crazy night.

POPNYE was awesome i liked it a lot but i did have some problems with it. First of all being it was the second rave i went to and it wasn't better than the first. Then not only that but i think they could of made it louder. Other than that though i really enjoyed it people were super happy, good environment it was fun.
