The Taft is just entirely too hot! The play had a slew of characters and the audio was just awful. My three year old, who fairs well as plays and musicals was antsy within 10 minutes.

Our seats were in the second row from the top. We could not see or hear the play. There were many empty seats around us so why I was sold seats in the top row for a 4 year old and 6 year old boggles my mind. The show started late and for small kids I think shows should start on time and why not fill up the rows from the bottom up instead of from the top down. I would not recommend this venue or show for small kids again. There were toys available for girls but nothing for boys after the show another disappointment for 4 year old boy.

I thought the play was very entertaining for the kids and parents. Constant set changes and song and dance routines kept it very lively! One improvement that is very necessary - Tinker Bell needs a better wig! I noticed it right away...the yellow birds nest atop her head. Tinker Bell is suppossed to be this beautiful, dainty fairy. Even my daughter (who is 7) pointed the wig out right away, stating it looked terrible and "couldn't they use one that was prettier and didn't look so fake?" One other note - with a full house, it was very warm and stuffy in the theater!

The story of Peter Pan can touch all of us. Stay innocent & open to adventure. Everything about the production from actors, to music, to staging is wonderfully well done. This show touches everyone from little child to grandparent.. Bravo!

I want to start by saying that the cast here in Cincinnati was great. The sets were wonderful. What is sub-par is the musical. The songs were forgettable and impossible to attempt to sing along with. The dialog was ripped from the movie (though not as funny). I would have rather saved my money and watched the movie again at home. Kids around me seemed to like parts of it but as an adult, and a professional music performer, I was bored.

I was not impressed with this production. My daughter's and I spent weeks discussing the dwarfs in the play and memorizing their names and they weren't a part of the play. I didn't realize that was going to happen. The production was good, but not having the dwarfs and not singing "Hi-ho" was a bummer.

We took our grandson (age 3) to the performance as one of his Christmas presents. We only stayed 10 minutes. The opening number with the Queen singing about killing Snow White along with the accompaniment music was too much. I hadn't thought about it before i purchased the tickets but the Taft Theater does not have much slope. A young child absolutely cannot see if an adult is seated in front of them.

This was my first experience with a production by the Children's Theatre and I am a fan! Thinking about becoming a season ticket holder for next year. I took my 4-1/2 year old granddaughter with me and she loved it too. I thought it was the perfect length for younger children to get acclimated to the arts. She watched every minute. I thought it was a very nice performance, lots of talent. And I was thrilled with the costs of the snacks and "souvenirs;" not an arm and a leg like any other thing I try to treat my grandchildren too. Overall I was very pleased.

I was excited to see I could pick up tickets for just $12 each! By the time all of the service fees were added on, my 3 tickets cost me $81! Is there a better way to purchase these? That is ridiculous up charging! The play was good, but my kids felt it followed to close to the TV show. They felt they had already seen it before. The seating was cramped. I feel bad for larger adults.

Show was only an hour when stretched (singing, intros, etc.). It was cute, but honestly pretty pricey for what you get- especially when adding in the price of parking. Not a show that would cause me to go running back to see another Childrens' Theatre production.

I took my five year old son to this as a special little Valentine's Day date for us. We were not disappointed! The show was great! The theatre even had booster seats available for young children or small children sitting close to the front like we did. I would absolutely recommend this to friends and I'd love to see it again myself. Our favorite characters were; The Cowardly Lion, Munchkins, The Scarecrow and The Tin Man. However, everyone did an incredible job!

The premiere of Alice in Wonderland with The Children's Theatre of Cincinnati is a melodious arrangement through innovative song and dance that will call to acknowledge the sense of adventure in every audience member young and old. The inventive, vibrant scenery drew me in. I found myself desiring to be a part of each artful moment. I relished the collaborative, theatrical magic delivered by Tweedle- Dee and Tweedle-Dum. The playfulness and silliness of those characters subtly screamed for their own children's TV show. All in all, there were no hiccups, just one satisfying "tea party" of entertainment.

We took our son, 1&1/2 yrs old, he loves music and dancing so I thought this would be a great experience for us all and it was wonderful! He clapped at all the right times and danced in his seat! We didn't have to buy him a ticket either which was great on our budget! I highly recommend this show to anyone with littles, it was interactive and had tons of bright shiny colors, lots of movement to keep their brains and eyes busy thought out slow moments (there was only 1/2 at the most) but we had a wonderful time! Thank you children's theatre!

I took my almost 4 year old grandson to the theater to see this play! The small theater was great for this first experience for him along with the warm-up activities in the lobby before hand. We also had some good help from Jen who was there to support children feeling comfortable, getting to their seats and appreciating the play. The actors were so good and the set and costumes were just like we had imagined them from our many readings of the book. The Q and A after with the characters was also nice. Thanks so much for bringing this story to life for us!

The entire show was electrifying. My grandchildren had seen the production in another venue and seen the movie several times BUT they were still spellbound throughout the entire show. The actors and actresses brought the scenes to life and you felt like you were right there on stage trying to find your way home via the yellow brick road. We drove about 90 miles to enjoy this experience but it was worth every penny. The tickets were reasonably priced. My only complaint is that I had to order tickets online and the seats on the lower level were not available for purchase. There were several seats on the lower level there were not filled.

The play was fine but our seats were near the top of Taft Theater making it hard to see or hear. It was so hot in the theater we had to fan just for it to be tolerable. When leaving the theater we went down the back exit to try to avoid all the people and since it was so hot we wanted to get out. The show was wonderful, lively, and fun. But for people who did not know the story, and where it came from, there needed to be some kind of synopsis, I could not explain to my 9 and 6 year old what the story was about. Sometimes if they have a chance to read beforehand, they follow and recognize just what is going on.

My mom and I took my 8yo son to this one. He was in a bad mood that morning and determined to not have a good time, but we went anyway and he was rivited the entire time. I would caution against taking small children to the show if they are easily frightened, as the Oompa Loompa singing parts were done in the dark under a black light. We thought it was particularly neat, but I think my toddler would've been afraid.

Great fun for all ages! This is actually a "Willy Wonka Kids" version of the production --- fewer songs than the actual "Junior" version --- but enjoyable. The "Kids" version is only around one hour in length, designed more for ages 6 and under, of which the theatre was full. But, there were several adults in the production, which differs from other "Junior" and "Kids" versions which usually have only teens and younger cast members. Great costumes, sets and songs! Very talented cast. An excellent production with a lot of HEART put into it by the gentleman portraying Willy Wonka (a host for the local city's segments of Good Morning America, I think the program book indicated). He was among the very best "Wonka's" we have seen, and we have attended 22 performances of Wonka across the Midwest in the past 4 years. He was also very gracious afterward with signing posters and posing for photos.

I TOOK MY GIRLS AGES 10 AND 6, AND GRANDMA TO SEE THIS PERFORMANCE. THEY LOVED IT! IT WAS CAPTIVATING AND FUNNY, SOMETHING TO ENJOY FOR ALL AGES! ( I WILL ADD THAT, I WAS HOPING TO TAKE SOME PICTURES OF MY FAMILY AT THE THEATER, HOWEVER THE WEBSITE STATED THAT CAMERAS WERE NOT ALLOWED. TO MY SURPRISE MANY PEOPLE BROUGHT IN CAMERAS AND WERE TAKING PICTURES :(

We had three generations attending Willa Wonka, Jr. and we all enjoyed it. My 8-year-old granddaughter couldn't take her eyes off the stage.

The beginning is a little "long" for younger children, but well worth watching. Took our kids ranging in age from 6-2 and they loved the show and spoke about it for days.
