The Beach Boys

The Beach Boys Concert Schedule As vanguards of the California surf rock sound belting out beach-themed, summertime lyrics backed by harmonized vocals, the Beach Boys personify surf culture, popularizing it worldwide. This garbage band-turned-pop legends are influences for derivative rock music, such as punk rock and garage rock, and musical artists and groups, including Paul McCartney and R.E.M.

Wouldn't it be nice if they came back every year!!!! We rocked the joint! Wouldn't it be nice s "our" and when they came to town on our anniversary, we couldn't resist!!! They really sounded great! Everyone was singing along... It would have been nice if they did a meet and greet afterwards like many of the 60's & 70's groups. But yeah, awesome time!

I've seen the BBs numerous times, starting back when they were in their hayday....with Brian Wilson, Dennis, and they've never disappointed. Their music is timeless and magical. The highlight of the show this time was John Cowsill performing on "Darlin'"....he is absolutely WONDERFUL!!! His voice is just the best and his drumming is excellent. He brings an electrifying energy to the group. John Stamos was nice to watch as well. This was my first time seeing him perform w/ the BBs and he was entertaining. Overall, I would definately recommend seeing this top notch act. They enteretained for 2 hours.....that's quite a lot of time nowadays!

Granted only two of the original members are still part of the group, but the "new" members blend in very well with all the songs. The vocal harmony of the 70+ year old original members was simply amazing. The band played all the old classic songs, and got the crowd up, dancing and singing. Even my teenage daughter had a blast listening to the songs. I'm not sure how long they will continue on tour, but I highly recommend you see them while you can.

I would recommend the Beach Boys summer concert to all. The band played their hit songs for over two hours. Mike Love was absolutely hysterical with his commentary between some of the songs. Their drummer, John Cowsill, was truly amazing! An older generation, as well as new young fans, sang along with the songs and danced throughout the event! An entertaining evening that brought back so many wonderful memories of a bygone era!

This was one of the best concerts I have ever been to. We enjoyed the opening group very much, even bought their CD. We never sat still the music was so enjoyable that we hated to have it end, I know they have been around for awhile, but we thought we got our moneys worth and then some. Show was not a quick in and out was a good hour and a half without intermission. Just can't say enough good about both groups. Ball in the House was amazing hope they go big.

How often can one leave a concert and say, "If they ever sang a song that they didn't perform tonight, I don't know what it was"? The Beach Boys definitely gave the audience their money's worth. Singing a solid two hours without break the group flowed from one set to another and had the near capacity, mostly middle-aged crowd rocking, singing, and fondly remembering summers when they were teens. Despite having some younger members in the group the Beach Boy sound was still there and the audience appreciated the faithful renditions of the songs, just as they'd learned them years ago. A thoroughly enjoyable evening!! Well done!

In the absolutely fairy-tale setting of the Fraze Pavilion in Kettering, OH the '60's were revisited. Having seen the Beach Boys 11 times before, we were not sure what to expect. In 2006 and 2007 they played the music and the sounds were there but the feeling of the group seemed to be flat. On Wednesday, July 8th, 2009 it all came together! What was the difference? We believe that the two originals have surrounded themselves with some outstanding musicians and entertainers. We also believe that Mike Love is now comfortable allowing others to present themselves with Beach Boys favorites that are rationally beyond the original band members. It is a win for everyone, the audience, the band and Mike Love. He was as relaxed and apparently enjoying himself as much as we have ever seen him. We will go back to see THAT Mike Love time after time. It was presented as a party and certainly sell out audiance in attendance were in that mode! The show which went about 130 minutes had everyone on their feet moving to the music from 45 minutes on. We were young again and enjoying it. An interesting observation is that almost half the crowd was 20 years of age or younger and they too sang along with each song! That has to be thrilling to the band, that their music and legacy continues to enthrall and recruit new fans. The downside of this concert occurred the next morning when we woke up and we were no longer happily young again in a much simple world!

This show was fantastic and we loved every minute of it. It is not often that we get out to an event like this, but we are so very glad we went. The show was upbeat from the first song until the last! Bring them back again!

Just returned from seeing the Beach Boys in Kettering, Ohio at "The Fraze". They sure put on a show [ and the opening act, "Ball in the House" was great as well ]. Good package put together of total entertainment for a Summer's eve. Mike Love keeps the crowd involved with his stories. They not only play their songs, but those of others from their "era" which they do very well. The Fraze venue is second to none, with very reasonable food/drink prices to boot.

Beach Boys concert at Patsy Cline Theater in Winchester, VA was a "rocking" place on Tuesday evening. My friends and I greatly enjoyed this night out. As one friend said, "it was great, 2 hrs of music, no breaks, most of the songs led from one right onto the next. A lot of gray hair, wrinkles, singing along, dancing, hardly sat thru the whole thing. A lot of old hippies in the crowd, I guess that's what makes for a great time."

I didn't know what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised. They SOUND like the Beach Boys I remember. Humphrey's is great with a close stage and perfect surroundings. Mike Love and company played all the classic hits and did them well. Our only complaint is that the seats are small and close together. But any BB fan needs to see this show. Surf the web for tickets and then go on a Surfin Safari with the boys.

This concert was truly wonderful. Loved hearing all the classic Beach Boys tunes, and was thrilled by the additional oldies they threw in the mix. Although not all of the original Beach Boys are now touring, Mike Love, who sang most of their hits, does well to carry the band, and keep the Beach Boys sound going strong. The new guys were awesome, too! I don't know how anyone could have a bad time at a Beach Boys concert. They really know how to spread those "Good Vibrations" all around!

There are times during one's life, when your past flashes in front of you. This evening, with The Beachboys, was, indeed, one of those unmistakable times! From the moment we entered the very intimate setting of the Capital One Bank Center, in Westbury, New York, the electricity was palpable! Surrounding us were bodies of all shapes, mostly all in their 50s and 60's, re-living their youth with tears of joy, as well as, the pangs of nostalgia! Mike Love, the only remaining member of the early Beachboys, and it's long time leader, has cleverly crafted a stunning recreation of the original group, by recruiting excellent, younger singer/musicians, who sound as well or better than their predecessors! Each song was driven by the love of the music and the desire to please their audience! Two hours of non-stop brilliance, was even more highlighted, by the addition of actor John Stamos, as singer, guitarist, keyboard player, and rock-solid drummer...a stunning display of rare talent! The evening ended much too soon, but given another opportunity, we will run as fast as our 60 year old legs will carry us to the nearest computer, and again, purchase tickets to enjoy this group with relish!

So many bands play concerts for themselves--playing the songs they want to play versus what the fans want to hear. The Beach Boys were absolute crowd pleasers--there wasn't a single song that I wanted to hear that they didn't play. The addition of John Stamos was a fun surprise--he was great! Mike Love and company made this a big party--we were dancing in the aisles and up by the stage. An absolute blast.

We had 2nd row middle stage tickets. Sound and the view was fantastic. I was aobutr 20 when the beach boys first came to be and I fondly remember their early songs. When I was 22 I was drafted and went to Vietnam, again thier tunes went with me in my head and when ever we could hear them on the servicemens radio. "good morning Vietnam" What a memory trip....

Rock and Roll is NOT dead. The Beach Boys gave a teriffic concert singing for an hour and a half and going from one song into the next. They sang all the favorites. The band and vocals were truly amazing and a great experience. People were dancing in place throughout the grandstands. It was an event not to be missed. It is alot better than alot of the modern groups now so called popular.

Humphreys by the was a great nite out. I took my baby-boom Dad and he had a great time. The atmosphere was ery happy and the show was entertaining even with some humor from the old bearded singer. Four stars-The chairs were small and cheap. I'm surprise none of the bigger guests broke one. I heard others complain that they felt like sardines. Yeah, My size 8-10 butt was touching my neighbor. Good thing she was small only about 5' The seating arrangement was not The Beach Boys fault- They were Great! It was worse then a flight on Southwest. Not a joke! P.F. The first song appeared to be lip synched and and got me a little concerned. After the first song, it was obvious that all were singing and playing their instruments. The drumer was the most amazing musician. The Beach Boys sho0wed humor and humility and especially energy performing for a solid 1-1/2 hours and enjoying themselves. Many songs were lead by the back up band because of the notes that had to be hit but the quality was excellent. The classic car show in the parking lot added much to the event. However the $5.00 10 ounce beers and 5 ounce wine was a rip off!

Amazingly over produced , so much so I thought they were lip - syncing to a sound track . Having bought tickets to see the last of the living Wilson brothers , I somehow dont recognize the man in the Browns cap out front singing ?? Was that the Brian Wilson I remember from the Beach Boys PBS special just last year ?? Being in a band myself [ Niteshift ] for over 20 years , looking at the stage and seeing essentially nothing that produces live audio , a drummer encased in plexiglass , a bassist and guitarist with no amps , Im left wondering why not just bring an album and start it spinning . I guess in someones mind the concert was a trip down memory lane , or a chance to relive lost youth . I think I'll remember it as a moment in time where I was completely lost wondering , Oh My God , Is that really Brian Wilson , and whos pushing the buttons and running the mixer .

We have seen the Beach Boys several times over the years. Each concert has been different in how they present their music even though most of the songs are the same. Hey, that's what we're there for ...... to hear the Beach Boys we grew up with. All three of us decided this was our favorite concert. If anyone out there got a picture of Mike Love signing my picture at the end of the concert, I would love to get a copy. I have lots of pictures I would share.

This is Mike Love from the Original Beach Boys; we went to see them over the week end at Ho-Chunck Casino. They put on a great show; My wife and I were among a bunch of people that went up to the front of the stage, we were about 10 feet away from the band, it was cool. There were a lot of old people up there, jumping around like they were teenagers. My wife and I were able to get Mike Love s autography; he was walking around by himself outside of one of the Restaurants there, I was waiting for my wife to come out of the washroom when I saw him. When my wife came out, I grab her hand and said come on, we walked up and asked Mike Love for his autography, he was on his cell phone and motion for us to wait, he hung up his phone and my wife gave him some paper to write on. That was kind of exciting after 40+ years.

It's hard to believe that the remnants of what was once "America's Band" can still thrill and excite a crowd. It is strange seeing the Boys without any Wilsons in the group, but Mike Love and Bruce Johnston have augmented the lineup with a great supporting crew who obviously enjoy and revere the legendary music created by Brian Wilson. I have seen the Beach Boys many times, going back to 1978 when all original members were present. This time, they surprised by shaking up the setlist (not starting with California Girls, for example) and played an amazing show, including some rare songs not usually heard live. And even then they included everything a true fan would expect to hear. It was a fabulous evening and worth it at twice the price. Thank you to Mike and Bruce for continuing to keep the Beach Boys music alive in concert.

For years, my mom wanted to see the Beach Boys. They were headliners at the Illinois State Fair several years in a row, but something always prevented us from going. Not this time, and I am NOT sorry! From the minute they set foot on stage until they stopped about 2 and a half hours later, this classic, multi-generational American icon in music entertained the crowd. They took 1 or 2 short breaks, but the atmosphere was so fun, that no one in our area even noticed. For a group of gentlemen that are mostly in their 60s and 70s, they have more energy than people half their age. Do not think for a second that The Beach Boys would be a waste of your money. It was worth every cent, I would have paid more, AND it gave me a memory with my mom that will last a lifetime. Thank you, Beach Boys!!

Great show! They came to sing and they did!! Two hour show is exceptional. I believe they gave us all the hits and then some. Nice humor and great sound. I do wish Mike had acknowledged one middle aged gal in the front row who was having a great time - stood appropriately several times - clearly enjoying the show and very much a fan. He was too busy with 3 or 4 young gals at the other end of the stage. I wasn't the only one present to notice the snub. Other than that great show!

Great playlist, but mediocre performance by the two remaining original band members. I enjoyed the concert, seeing the 2 original members for my first time, but wouldn't go again. Mike Love spent most of his time flirting with female audience members, and even forgot the lyrics during one number. I give them credit, they wrote/performed MANY great songs in their day, they paid their dues & provided the soundtrack to many events in our lives, but primarily it was a good cover band with two original members present.

A Magical night for me and my friends. The songs where (are!) great, the vocals and surf guitar tight as could be. My fifth time to see the boys, the first in 1963, and just as fun now as then. We are down to one Beach Boy now, but the band mostly rocked the songs (some off-key singing). But, hey, Mike Love has been doing this for 50 years. You have to cut him some slack for not being in his 20's anymore. We have also seen the Brian Wilson tour and, if I had to choose, I would choose Brian. He really was the major creative force in the band. Those that are left are reuniting for a tour next year, which should be interesting.

I bought tickets to surprise my mom for her birthday, and boy was she surprised! They started off the night with a surfing medley that got us pumped for the rest of the show. We were seated towards the back so we stood for most of the show dancing of course! I've been a huge fan of the Beach Boys since I was 10 in 1965. Bought all the records (yes, vinyl records) and played them endlessly, yet this is the first time that I have seen them in concert. I was in the front row last night and this concert was almost a religious experience for me. I think that I actually relived a part of my childhood. Mike Love still has some years left in his voice and the harmonies were perfect. The band was 99.8% note for note with the originals. They played almost all of their hits, from the surf songs to the car songs to the love songs. The venue was wonderful and the weather was a perfect 73 degrees. A fantastic concert!

While only two of the band members were "real" Beach Boys, the show was top notch. This is to say that the other musicians were anything but ordinary. Fantastic! And the volume of the show was not too high, as is the case at some concerts I've attended. You could actually understand most of the lyrics and catch the great music produced by the Boys. I hope Mike Love can keep this going so others can enjoy.

the Beach Boys remain timeless and un-forgetable. Unlike many other bands from the 60's, they stay true to their tunes and style. The addition of new musicians, adds to the group and does not take away from the show! they continue to get better and better, while staying true to the harmonies that we loved about the Beach Boys! I have seen them perform a dozen times over the years and have never been disappointed. No garden party here.. they are true to their school and to their music.

The concert was amazing! They hardly stopped playing and when they did it was to entertain us still or introduce a new song. Im still humming songs from 3 days ago. John Stamos played with them as well. It was an AWESOME concert.

Drums overpowered everything. Could hardly hear the voices, which may have been partially good, since Mike Love's voice seems not what it used to be.

The Beach Boys played all the songs I can remember from the 60's and covered them very well. Brought me back to my high school days. But the act that preceded them, Sleeping Booty, was exciting, too, playing disco, funk, hip hop--very danceable music with a great horn section, guitars, keyboards, drums and disco dancers. It seemed that all of them could sing and dance. This was truly a concert for all ages.

I'm a young guy who was worried about the "elderly" on stage, but it was a blast!! The Letterman's opened with some great music and the Beach Boys played their best concert yet (I have only been to 3 concerts all in the last 5 years). To top things off, John Stamos was there on the drums and guitar. The weather was perfect, and it was the same night that LBJ lost the NBA finals. It can't get any better than that!!!

For a straight two hours, the Beach Boys sang just about every hit song that they came out with. It was a breathe of fresh air to see all the smiles and people dancing to the songs that we grew up with. The audience participation was wonderful. If you haven't been to a Beach Boy concert, I highly recommend you seek one out. From My Little Deuce Coupe to Surfer Girl the songs were endless, bringing back memories of years ago. An evening you never wanted to end.

My family and I attended the Beach Boys concert June 5th at the brand new White Oak Ampitheater in Greensboro, NC. We went to a Beach Boys concert back in 2008, and it was awesome, but this one was far more impressive. We purchased the VIP package which included a "Meet and Greet" prior to the show with the band and we sat 2nd row, center stage for the show. The "Meet and Greet" included a brief meeting and pictures (by a professional photographer) with Mike Love and Bruce Johnston. I wish this part could've been a bit longer, but it was fantastic while it lasted. Mike and Bruce were also gracious enough to sign 2 CDs that we had brought with us to the show even though an e-mail sent out prior to the event said they wouldn't be signing any autographs. Now, on to the show. The Beach Boys played a wide range of songs including all of your favorites. The group was also highly interactive with the audience (featuring points and waves to fans during songs in a way that it seems like only the great Mike Love could pull off). A group of fans were even brought up on stage to sing along for one of the songs. For the last few songs, a small mob of fans were brought up into the small area between the first row and the stage to jump around/sing/dance/etc. right up at the stage. We made our way through this newly found crowd in front of us to get near the stage. I then hoisted my small 8 year old sister up onto my shoulders so she could get the best view in the house right next to the stage. Just before their encore performances of "USSR" and "Fun, Fun, Fun", Bruce Johnston gave my sister (while still on my shoulders) his setlist from his keyboard. Following the encore, Mike Love's son gave her his guitar pick. The venue, which is a brand new ampitheater next to the Greensboro Coliseum (this was their first event), had nice acoustics for the show. The seating is completely uncovered. The only negative of the event was how poorly managed the staff seemed to be (however somewhat understandable considering it was their first event). We were misdirected several times and told conflicting info prior to the event by staffers that seemed to have no idea what was going on. The opening act for the show was a local group called "Sleeping Booty", but we weren't able to hear any of their performance while we were hanging out in the VIP guests' area that was away from the stage area. Also, I was somewhat disappointed not to see John Stamos (after reading some of the recent reviews), but that would've simply been a bonus. It didn't take away from the experience at all. In conclusion, I would certainly recommend ANYONE to go see the Beach Boys if they have the opportunity. Their songs are timeless and the way they fill the stage (captivating the audience) is unmatched. The only thing I can hope for is that Brian Wilson and Al Jardine will join the group for a reunion tour in the near future. I would certainly check that out. GO SEE THIS SHOW!!!

I had an incredible time at The Beach Boys concert in the White Oak Amphitheater at the Greensboro Coliseum Sunday night! Everyone thoroughly enjoyed them! There were all ages in the audience - I sat next to a 16 year old boy and when I asked him if he even knew who the Beach Boys were, he exclaimed, "I love the Beach Boys! My brother and I would always listen to them when we rode in my dad's Camero convertible!" We enjoyed the classic corvettes on display in the parking lot and the old time "Woody!" People were dancing at their seats and the crowd was really rocking when the band invited people to come close to the stage and just dance along. This ageless band still knows how to deliver a good time! What a great way to start my summer! I'm having fun, fun, fun til . . . heck, I'm still having fun!!!! Also, the event staff was great - kept control of crowd behavior but also were always polite and friendly!

My first time seeing the Beach Boys was May of 1974 at MSU with Paula. I've seen them a handful of times since then at both indoor and outdoor venues and by far this was the nicest venue... outdoors in an almost tropical setting.... thank you Paula! They are not the same band without the Wilson brothers vocals but for this being almost forty years later you have to give them their due....John Stamos adds to the energy of the show as he pulled Vince Vaughn on to the stage for a little help in closing out the show. A fun evening all in all with pre-Pet Sound material you will walk away feeling the hands of time turned back 4 decades and for me that was money well spent! Thank you PJ and nice job guys!

We've seen a number of performers and performances over the years, but the Beach Boys are among the best ever for my wife and me! Of course we loved all of the old favorite songs, plus the newer ones. And, the attitude and excitement of the entire band was spectacular! Their care about the recent weather damage in the area due to tornados was impressive! Having John Stamos ask to be here just added to the excitement and he was terrific singing, on the drums and the electric guitar. Thanks for a great evening! My wife can't quit telling me what a grand time she had!

I am a young 32 years old, however I grew up listening to these guys out at Folsom Lake. I am an Audio Engineer by hobby. Going to concerts is usually gruesome for me. Not this time. These guys sounded great. Sure, they are a bit loose in the harmony, but lets see how good we will be at their age, right? Going from the concert straight into the Casino was a nice transition too. Everybody out in the walk way was still cheering in the New Year and it was a memorable time. I will definitely be looking up more events at Thunder Valley.

The concert was superb, however when everyone stood up and stayed standing, a good bit of the enjoyment was lost in spite of the big screen. I came to see them IN PERSON, not on an oversized display. The two six foot guys in front of me made it impossible to see anything. In addition, I happen to be temporarily on crutches and the handicapped accomodations were deplorable.

I am a big fan, so my opinion is very suspicious :))) It was the first time we went to Cobb Energy and our seats were in the back, still we could see and hear very well compared to other venues. It was my birthday (I turned 42, seriously), and my husband and I got a sitter and decided to do something different. The Beach Boys still rock and I am glad the band band travels and we get the chance to see them -- in fact this was the second time we went to a Beach Boys concert here in ATL.

What can I say about the Beach Boys - they're GREAT. They will have you dancing in your seat and rock and rolling to their songs. I've been to all their concerts at Westbury and each time I enjoyed the show. They really know how to rock the crowd. Next time they are in town, buy tickets to see them. Trust me you will not be disappointed. FANTASTIC PERFORMERS! Keep on rocking Beach Boys.

I was very disappointed in the performance of the current Beach Boys Group. The harmony just isn't there. I have attended concerts where there are many original members of the group that have gone in different ways and have been replaced and everything worked out in a good fashion. Not the case for the new Beach Boys group. The sound was no where near the same as that of the original group. Everyone enjoyed the songs, as these were tunes that we grew up listening to...but, as far as enjoying the sound of the Beach Boys, a whole different story.... I will be very selective when attending future concerts where most of the original performers have been replaced... This was money NOT well spent. I could have played my CDs at home with better results....

This was the best concert I have ever attended. I almost didn't go because I thought it was silly, but I decided if I didn't go I would regret it later. I am so glad I went!! The first half was amazing, but the second half was just over the top. One hit right after another, non-stop. People were singing along, swaying and dancing all over the room. The music was great, the venue was beautiful and I don't think there is a bad seat in the Cobb Energy Center. I enjoyed every minute of it! And I loved that there was a mix of young people as well as my age age and older. I had the time of my life!!

Bad, very bad. It's time for the Beach Boys to settle in at home and enjoy their money. They are playing smaller and smaller venues because they cannot attract enough people to attend their concerts. The singing was bad, harmony next to nothing, and absolutely no stage presence. Mike Love just stood there singing into the mike waving occasionally with his fingers. Only the younger band members were singing and they were not alive when these songs were written, go figure.
