I love Dennis and his story telling comical ways. I'm always excited to see what he has to offer me. Looking forward to his return.

Dennis was unerringly accurate in his scathing jokes on political Correctness. He is genuinely funny and not mean spirited as some on the left can be.

Miller was on top of his game! He dominated the show with his brilliant Political Rants and his Unrelenting Wit! Best story was when he talked about President Clinton and how he should have opened up about his sex scandals in his second term. He said Clinton should have just admitted who all he slept with. Miller speaking as Clinton says "I hit that, I hit that, I hit that, and I even hit that! Hell, I hit everything but that! (talking about Hilary) Spade's time was short, but in all, was still was very entertaining. Lost the crowd's attention with his strangely and down right arrogant comment about his own watch... stopped talking and starred at his watch for a few seconds, then says "That's a nice f***ing Rolex". That's it... Spade blanks out for a second, and then goes back into his routine. All in all it was a good evening. Would highly recommend for some good laughs AKA: Lone Star

Mr Miller is a very gifted comedian- smart, funny & very articulate. We were very unhappy with the short time he was on stage- we arrived a few minutes after 8:00pm & the show was done by 9:10pm!! Not a good value at $75/ticket

My wife and I went to Dennis Miller's show on 8-22 in Dallas. He was very good. There is no one like Mr Miller. His use of wit and sarcasm is incredible. He had usd both in tears with lafter. I found his common sense refreshing and spot on. I would definatly recomend. The only thing the show was lacking was a warm up act. . Dennis riffed for 75 min. All in all well worth the price of admission.

Dennis Miller was over and done in 60 minutes. Nothing preceded or followed his act. His material was excellent, as always, but the tickets, parking and a little gasoline thrown in cost me over $200. For that I expected more than 60 minutes of his time. Late arrivers did not even get their seats warm. Miller said he was performing in Las Vegas the next night, so I guess he was in a hurry to catch a plane. For whatever reason his heart did not seem to be in this show on this night. I would pay to see him again, but would try to determine in advance if I was paying for a real "show", or just a short lounge act.

He is incredibly talented, witty, well versed and knowledgable. We've been watching Dennis since his SNL days, so jumped at the chance to see him live. We laughed until our sides hurt. Our only surprise was that the show barely lasted an hour. We anticipated closer to 2 hours, per the show's billing. We have no regrets in purchasing the tickets, we just would have liked to hear more.

The show started at 8 pm. We were in the car by 9. I don't expect any performer to go much longer than an hour but there was no opener and he spoke just under an hour. Since the tix were about $80 with convenience fees I'd say it was not worth it. Of course I'm just comparing it to other music shows I've been to. But even Unwigged and Unplugged seemed to be close to 2 hours. They did have songs though. Bottom line is that now I've seen Dennis live and i've got the memory. I won't catch him again unless the price is significantly reduced.

With no opening act and Dennis only doing 60 minutes(exactly), it sure seemed like way too short of a show. We traveled from Texarkana, about 185 miles one way. We were expecting more for the $70 price per ticket. This was their own fault, but the people that showed up late expecting to miss the opening act only caught 20 -30 minutes of Dennis. Once again..that's their fault.

Dennis Miller was everything I expected and a few surprises. Yes, most of his barbs were aimed at political liberals and left-wing policy, but he threw in some zingers at the right wing and general cultural phenomenon. Probably funnier than I expected - many laugh-out-loud moments and dozens of applause lines. The crowd here in the heart of red-country Dallas/Ft. Worth was unsurprisingly sympatico, which may have provided a little extra energy to the atmosphere - he could have thrown out just about anything and gotten at least a smattering of applause. Very few of his lines fell flat completely, but like the pro he is he didn't miss a beat. There was no intro act and his set was a little on the short side (almost exactly one hour), but still worth the $ and the time to go see a guy who doesn't waller in the mud and actually talks above the head of some of his audience, rather than shooting for the lowest common denominator. One caveat - DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY if you're the type of humorless liberal who can't take a joke and laugh at jibes at the expense of left-wing foibles. There are plenty of other entertainers out there who will pander to your delicate sensibilities.

DM did not dissapoint with his words. It was a funny hour. But for a ticketmaster level price at a stadium with $15 plus parking and typical overpriced food and drink, more than an hour was expected. Find some opening acts or more material or if this is the intent, try a different level venue to do this. The crowd did all get an extra laugh leaving after the hour, at what fools we were.

I thought Dennis started off slowly, so I was a little worried. But, after about 10 minutes, he hit his stride. He had some really funny stories. I only wish he would have talked for more than just an hour. I couldn't believe that was it. Also, it was obvious he was in pain with his back. I wish him luck on getting that fixed. All in all, a good show, but I felt a little shorted with the time.

DM ranted for about an hour (kinda short wHen there was no warmup act) but 90% of his bit came straight from his Fox News speaking points. If I wanted to go to a republican rally I couldve done that for free. I wasn't naive enough to think he wouldnt touch on politics but I was hoping for more cynicism that anyone could relate to, not just the O'Reilly devotees.

Funny, but very short (50 minutes), and ended abruptly, never walked off stage, turned around as if it was an encore, did 2 more minutes, then left abruptly again. The whole event seemed like a practice gig that the audience paid for.

I have always loved the fast paced, finely honed, intellectual razor blade humor of Dennis Miller. It's like having the smartest guy in the class also be sarcastically funny and cool. He was a little more laid back last night--but still sliced and diced those that so richly deserved it.

the concert only lasted an hour but it was terrific. the problem was people comeing in 30 mins late and disrupting the event . this is happening all the time anymore in concerts, plays, and broadway musicials. if i am paying the top prices, then these theatres should make some rules for late shows. make then sit in an area set aside for late arrivals.

I bought the tickets for my husband's birthday & figured I'd go with him :-) We listen to Miller on the radio & see him on O'Reilly frequently. I honestly didn't think he'd get a single laugh out of me all night - I was so wrong! I laughed hysterically, more than my husband!!! I laughed so hard I was crying & could barely catch a breath!!! Miller is brilliant & says things others don't dare say - thank God for his humorous honesty!!! I am so glad I bought those tickets!...I needed that good laugh last night! Thanks Dennis!!!

I am probably not the best one to ask about Dennis's performance. I think it was great, but I have always liked his making fun of everyone. The left and the right of the political spectrum has always been fair game. The thing I enjoy most is his historical, cultural and current event references that make you think, when he makes you laugh. You really can't go to one of his shows and truly enjoy these comical connections being an uninformed individual. I always watched him when he had a show on HBO, and I continue to enjoy his appearances on Fox's Bill O'Reilly. I hope he can come back to Dallas soon. Very entertaining, fun, funny, and also very true. I am a Dennis Miller fan..

I bought this ticket because I remember Dennis Miller as being the snarky, sarcastic, intellectual (almost dorky) correspondent for Weekend Update on SNL back in the Mike Meyers/Dana Carvey days. I also remember him being very politically middle-of-the-road and perhaps leaning a bit to the Left. It was only AFTER I'd purchased these tickets (for $80+, as I bought seats near the front, five rows from the stage, in fact) that I was informed (by one of my friends) that Miller is now a hardcore right-winger and Fox News correspondent. Serves me right: I should have done my research beforehand. Ah well. I went to the show (which began promptly at 7pm, with no opening comic, and ended at 8:10pm), which was mostly attended by older folks (reasonably, as Miller is 60 himself) and there were a suspicious amount of empty seats in the front sections. I did laugh a few times (while Miller was building momentum), but near the end his act eroded into a right-wing venomous mantra where he took to bashing liberals (a socio-political group of which I count myself a member), professing his disbelief in Global Warming and his accounts of touring with (!) and introducing Mitt Romney. All in all: not my thing. Too short of a show (Robin Williams and Steven Wright both give the audience damn near two hours!) and too political.

I had the pleasure of seeing Dennis in Las Vegas many years ago and he has gotten better, if that is even possible. He let my wife take his picture outside the Ryman prior to the event and was extremely gracious. We catch him on O'Rilley as often as we can. Be carefull not to laugh too hard, the next joke comes so quickly, you may miss out. I have followed Dennis from SNL until today. There is none better. He was even good on Monday Night Football. He has a quick mind that should keep all happy, except those liberals like Nancy Pelosie.

I have seen Dennis 4 times now counting this appearance. I was worried that his years off the stand-up stage would make the show not as clever and funny as before but I was not let down. His new material was thought provoking and amusing while his older jokes still manage to crack me up. I did, however, miss his signature rant. I went to the show with my mother, Connie, who never misses Dennis on the radio or on O'Reilly. My Aunt also came wth and, as I found out later, was not too thrilled to go. I had assumed she was a fan when I bought the tickets. Good news is, my Aunt is now an avid fan and thanked me profusely for "turning her on" to Dennis Miller. I have recruited quite a few friends to Dennis' particular brand of humor and it makes me feel good when people realize what they have been missing.

What a delightful evening! My husband and I haven't laughed so hard in a long time! Dennis takes the events of the day and turns the insanity into jovial laughter with the lack of common sense in our world. Loved that he wore his Cubs cap! He talked about what a class organization the Cubs are when they invited 50 foreign war veterans to the ball game! Despite the season, on my daughter's birthday my Mom & I met Ron Santo -- what a kind man, so we've experienced it first hand! Appreciate Dennis' efforts to assist USA Cares in raising funds to help those who give "So Much for US!" God Bless Dennis Miller!

Miller was okay. He tap-danced on the edge of most politics, but also pandered some to the "Fox & Friends" demographic at the show. Surprisingly, he dragged out an old (and lame) joke about Bob Dole's last name being attractive to progressives. C'mon, Miller, you're better than that! The biggest problem was 2 different drunks wanted to have a personal conversation with DM, and badly interrupted his flow and rhythm. The comic really staggered for several minutes after both episodes. He had good comebacks, locked and loaded, which helped a little. And these were not hecklers, just intoxicated folks who wanted a special moment with Miller. Lastly, the volume for Miller was too low, so the audience did not hear his punchline on 2 or 3 occasions, which is unfortunate. I didn't;t see the earlier show, but I'd be surprised if the directors can edit a tight 55 minutes out of the act for TV.

Dennis Miller was simply....vintage Dennis Miller. Witty, urbane, contemporary and perhaps for some, controversial. And lest I forget, he was hilarious, whether doing straight up comedy or his unique brand of political commentary/humor. Dennis' thought process and humor definitely relate to the common man, though his intricate and sometimes elongated analogies occasionally leave the common man scratching his head in bewilderment. Dennis Miller is like a shot of adrenaline to the brain. He's a patriot, he's very funny, he's bold and unafraid. Buy a ticket, see the show, and laugh your tail off!

I am sorry to write this negative review. I have seen Dennis Miller in the past and enjoyed his biting humor and political satire, but last Saturday at the Wellmont was totally disappointing. His material was lacking wit and he was noticeably unprepared. Our first clue was when he had a music stand next to him. He just about read every joke off various papers from the stand causing many lapses in the flow of the performance. That is the last time I will spend good money on a ticket to see him!

Neither my husband nor I could hear Dennis Miller well. Needs better microphone or at least a sound check. Many in the audience were older and must have experienced the same problem. When Dennis Miller gave the punch line his voice dropped off. I missed much of what he said and my husband missed virtually all. That being said, we ve always found Dennis Miller witty and charming and, generally, very entertaining where we could hear him on TV. Love to see (hear) him again sometime.

First, the opening act was the absolute worst "comedy" I had ever seen, bar none! The absolute worst. It was embarrassing. The ratings guide here allows fir 1 to 5 stars. I would give the opening act a ZERO. Dennis Miller was just okay and not what I was expecting from him at all. He was clearly off his game. He seemed very nervous at first and kept adjusting the mic height and putting both hands in and out of his sport coat. Then, for 80% of the show he was constantly glancing over at a large binder of his jokes that was placed on a small stand. It threw off the routine and timing having to look at the notes for almost the entire act. He was also clearly using our venue as a testing ground to see what jokes to keep and which ones to throw out for future acts. Maybe because Boise is a smaller venue he thought this was okay to do. I was also expecting more of his trademark political satire, which he did not really get into until the last 20 minutes or so. When he finally stepped into that roll, everyone started laughing and having a good time. However, it was a little to little, and a little too late.

It was a pretty slow moving show. There were a couple of good moments of brilliance that you would expect from Miller, but for the most part, it was rather mediocre. Once will looking at his ever present and looked at notes, he apologized for having to look at them because he was "working on a new special". I think you should pass on this live show and wait for when he is rehearsed and ready for the real show.

Over the last 30 years I've enjoyed everything that Dennis Miller has been involved in, including Monday Night Football. He has the most extensive vocabulary and his metaphors and analogies are priceless. Dennis Miller was OK... but just OK. I think he was trying out some new bits for a TV special. The opening act, however, was horrible... some guy from Boise with a name that sounded like Oleg Shevchuk. I think he might have been a last-minute replacement. The show would have been better with 30 minutes of dead air--this creature was odious and obnoxious. He went on at length about shoving a raw egg up his rectum, where it became hard-boiled, and he made his nieces and nephews find it on an Easter Egg hunt--Crassness is not funny.

This was our fourth time seeing Dennis Miller...obviously we have liked him which is why we keep seeing his show. This offering was extremely disappointing...he did not connect with the audience and seemed like he was not excited to even be performing...don't know if he was tired, bored, on alcohol or drugs, but he just went through the motions and rambled through his monologue...he was disjointed and was difficult to understand... His opening act...a female comedian was very good though... This is our last time seeing his show...

Husband and I attended Dennis Miller's performance at the Silver Legacy Casino. He was very funny. Quite a different delivery for a comedian, which he is but also a political commentator. He was quiet, non-demonstrative, he was quite understated and we had to PAY ATTENTION very closely to his monologue. He was hilarious and everyone appreciated his humor and take on everyday life. The venue was very big, there were huge screens which we could watch to catch the facial nuances and the sound was very good. His warm up comedian, I wish I could remember her name, was also very funny. I think I would pay just to listen to her routine! We had a wonderful time. The seats were comfortable and we enjoyed ourselves very much.

We went to see Dennis Miller with high hopes for some fast paced political humor. What we got was a man who was reading his "jokes" from a podium that weren't even funny with only a few political jokes. We felt like he phoned it in. As soon as he got to one hour on stage, he abruptly stopped, told us that we rocked, and left the stage. We were very disappointed.

It struck me as odd, at first, Dennis Miller Reading his material from a behind a podium, but I was laughing so much, that the tears in my eyes blurred any chance of actually seeing anything at all much less a glimpse of a podium. My abs were punched from every joke that came at us so fast I could only dodge 5 hard-lined jabs. I was laughing so much that I couldn't hear a few jokes, which was upsetting to me! Trying to remember a Joke was hard as well, because you have to pay attention to this Man!, But remember I do! Exhausted from laughing and Crying and feeling like I had just finished 2 hours straight of ab workouts, I still wasn't relieved that the show had ended, I am left wanting more!!! I struggle, even now today 5 days later to not smile or laugh as I am thinking of this Hilarious Humans jokes from a behind the pulpit. The Rialto Square Theatre was very nice as well, we sat in the front row balcony, great seats, we had a few drinks before the show and everyone we met were nice personable and aware. thanks for the great time for My Wife and Myself! Opening act seemed like old routine. Woman comedian was all over the board. Lasted about 30 minutes. First half a bit dry, as he tried out New material. A Lot of tech savvy material that went right over my head. Second half, he finally was on a roll. Just as your would expect. Must of been old material with a twist. Covered everything. No questions from audience as Seinfeld would do, but was responsive to audience. He seemed very comfortable. Not nearly as many "F" bombs as I was expecting for a LIVE show. Was suppose to do about 1 hour. He actually went over 1/2 hour according to theater staff. He actually stayed on 1 1/2 hours, no break. Very Good.

Great show! Haven't heard his humor in a while so it was great to get his perspectives on Society, Life, Politics and more.....

His opening act was excellent as well, and Dennis is so intelligently funny, you have to be on your A game to keep up with him. Loved the show! A few times I had a hard time hearing him, would be my only concern. Great date night.

Loved Dennis show, he s on point with all of his comments, and his sense of humor and timing our right on target! As the show moved on Dennis got more enlightened and funnier and snarkier than I could even have hoped for! I d definitely go back!

As usual, Dennis Miller was spot on. His point of view is logical and with his delivery hilarious.

An extremely disappointing show with very few laughs. Miller seems very unprepared (constantly fumbling through papers at the podium) and had a difficult time getting a response. Not worth the money at all. Will never pay to see him again! The act before him was much more enjoyable!

I love dennis miller but i could not have been more offended when he walked out on stage and explained why he needed the podium because he didnt know his own material. Are we just a bunch of hillibilly hacks that don't deserve a professional performance? I wanted my money back. I have never been subjected to such unprofessionalism. The rialto theater utself deserves more respect than that.

I guess everybody can have a tough night. To his credit, DM told the crowd that he was testing material for a new Special, and it wasn t yet committed to memory. So he stood at a podium with a huge stack of papers and read to the audience. The performance seemed to lack passion, and I can t recall one time the entire audience erupted into laughter. There were some funny moments, but for the most part the show was disjointed and all over the place. I ll continue to be a Dennis Miller fan, but this particular performance seemed to be mailed in.

This is a show about reality. A very pleasant reminder of the insanity around all of us. Mr. Miller used facts, humor, and outstanding timing to cut through the everyday, less than truthful, news feeds that we are fed. We haven't 'belly-laughed' this hard in a very long time. A truly enjoyable evening. Jim and Sandy ps: Keep that opening act with the show. That gal was a stitch !!!

Mr Miller used this venue to "try out" jokes for his "upcoming special". He brought notes and papers to the stage, couldn't track which "jokes" told or hadn't told and proceeded to give one of the most disappointing performances I have ever seen. People left mid show. His "observations" which have been insightful and funny, in the past, we're missing and many fell flat. I resented being used as a guinea pig and having to "pay for the privledge".

We drove a little over 3 hours, spent the night in a hotel, and ate out a few meals in order to see Mr. Miller in Joilet, IL. When we entered the theater and saw a podium on stage we wondered if we were in the right venue. When Dennis Miller came out and announced "I am preparing for a special and I don't have this memorized. Don't let the podium scare you as I need it for my notes." He then proceeded to do most of the show by reading his notes and sometimes losing his place saying "I don't know if I told you this one or not." Considering the amount of money that we spent, including taking a day off work to travel, I want to see a professional show and not a rehearsal. Please Mr Miller do not do this to any future audiences. We have paid good money to see a professional show. You should have done plenty of rehearsals to get ready for this rather than in front of an audience of several hundred.

I went in with high expectations after being a huge fan of Miller on O'Reilly. He seemed unprepared yet rehearsed, almost always reading from his papers at the podium. Maybe I'm old (but younger than him); his superfluous use of the F*bomb added nothing to his performance but seemed indicative of inability to express himself.

Side splitting show! This is cerebral comedy at its best. The show couldn have been four hours and it still wouldn't have been long enough for me. I love Dennis Miller. I saw the BOLDER AND FRESHER TOUR and loved that at the Houston Hobby Center.

Older and grayer but just as acerbic and cutting as ever. Dennis Miller provided Geneseee a solid hour plus of material. Some of it was repeats of stuff he's done before, but he worked a lot of new stuff in there as well. Kept political humor and his conversion to conservative to an acceptable amount, and whatever side of the aisle you sit on, the man makes some good points. Overall a show that was worth the money and the time.

You have to be quick to catch all the jokes (like the reference to Moe Green). But he thinks on his feet and comes up with new stuff on the fly, as well as what he's prepared in advance of the show. I'd definitely recommend this show..

In the immortal words of Donald Trump, Dennis Miller was low energy in his "performance" in Waukegan. He minimally connected with the audience while standing at a podium and reading what was clearly old material. Very disappointing as I was previously a big Miller fan and I had anticipated a lively, witty and enjoyable evening!

I enjoyed seeing Dennis Miller live; he's a funny guy. My only complaint was that he used a podium along with crib notes. I don't know if he was just trying new material and hadn't memorized his routine, or if he had some other reason, but it didn't seem too personal with him checking his notes so often. Even so, he had good material, and I laughed a lot.

Although DM and I are clearly on opposite sides of the political spectrum, I do appreciate how amazingly brilliant he is. Sharp wit. Great comedic timing. Up on current issues. Talked about way more than politics. Have liked watching him since his early TV days on Talk Soup. Still immensely enjoyed him.

I was surprised how average this show was, then I read a few reviews of a show in Feb he did in Mississippi and found a review that described exactly how I felt afterwards. "The whole show was kinda "whatever." Parts were quite funny, but they were few and far between. He boringly read pages of notes from a podium. Nothing seemed energetic or spur of the moment. The entire show seemed unrehearsed. I think the crowd was partially to blame. There's no way that every single line he spoke could bring about the exact tone of riotous laughter in the same patrons, over and over. But I'm glad I went. There's no way I'd recommend this show, though. Hopefully it was an off-night. But material wise, it was just below average at best."

I was a big fan of Miller until now. Overall the show was boring. It just wasn't that funny. I was really excited to see his live show, but it was a big disappointment! The delivery was tired and lacking effort. My first thought was why bother to come here to put on a show if your heart isn't in it. I sat close enough to see his face and he was obviously reading most of the less than amusing babble. Hell, I could have stood up there and read lame jokes for an hour and a half. That doesn't take any talent! Maybe he was practicing new material on what he considered a less than important audience. Or maybe it was just that his bus had a flat tire and he had a few hours to kill? Either way, I feel like I wasted my time and money. If I were to see him face-to-face, I would respectfully ask him for my money back.
