Great energy, very entertaining and fun! We will definitely be going again!

The place was packed. This was my first rowdies game and the atmosphere was electric. The fans were amazing. The green smoke in the stands was awesome. I highly recommend it. Not to mention we won. Great game. Great seats no matter where you sit.

Had a wonderful time at Al Lang stadium. The Rowdies game is a great event, especially for families with young kids.

Come on, the converted baseball field isn't conducive to great sightlines or a great interaction with the game. Use the UT Stadium or make a deal with USF to add bleachers to their stadium - after all, the green and gold colors are a match! Let's put this team on a real soccer pitch or use Buccaneer Stadium. Concessions - the venue was totally unprepared for the crush before the game and during half-time. The level of concession staffing was more conducive to a nine-inning four-hour baseball game. The concession staff was working like crazy, but were overwhelmed by the crowd. Overall, great game and glad the Rowdies are back. They did their job, now let's get the right venue.

Just attended the home opener. Talk about bringing back memories. Seeing the old guys, hearing the songs, seeing the fans with all their old Rowdies gear. I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who kept stuff in his closet all this time. It was a blast. The stadium's not the optimal place to watch a game, but hey- it was a game, and it was the ROWDIES. WOW.

Overall, we had a great time and we are very excited to have the Rowdies back. My only complaint for the evening is that the event seemed to be understaffed. There were very few people directing traffic in and out of the event and inside, most of the vendors were closed, so the lines were very, very long most of the time to get snacks, beer, etc. This was the innaugural home game though, so hopefully it runs a little smoother next time.

Finally soccer has returned to Tampa, and it's worth the trip!

The soccer was great and I hope the Rowdies are successful in this market. I can't recommend my seating area for viewing the game. I let ticketmaster pick the best available seats and we were put at a table in the Tribune Deck area down the right field line. The most expensive seats in the stadium and we couldn't see the game. I ended up standing in order to see. I'll attend more games but we'll be in a different section.

Great start for first home game. Sellout at Steinbrenner. Loud singing, chanting and cheering crowd dressed in both old and new Rowdies colors. fireworks afterwards. A great event. Can't wait for the next home game.

parking was great and getting into the stadium went smoothly. the only problem was watching a soccer game played on a baseball field but hey-rather be able to see the Rowdies play than not!

Terrific win by the Rowdies. Yeah OK....there was a torrential downpour and some wind, but a great Rowdies supporter section made it all fine. (We're still singing over here!)

My family had the best time! The game was so much fun. Loved seeing Neil Collins head a goal! The team was so sweet too! At the end of the game they signed autographs and took selfies with all the kids. My son was in awe! He said it was the best day ever.

I am a soccer fan, and have finally made it to a Rowdies Game at Al Lang Stadium now that I live closer! This is a very nice park, on the waterfront, that made the overall experience terrific. Location wise, very close to plenty of places to pre-game eat, which we did, and the game itself was exciting, and we had great seats in the Mid Field club, second row!

I really enjoy their games and considering buying season tickets! Always fun and exciting.

It was easy to get caught up in the cheering and fun. Pretty sure the song was the same from the last game I went to in the 80's - LOL! And section 307 might be the same 307 from Amalie/Lightning - they chanted and engaged the crowd during the entire game. Lots of fun!

Loved watching the Rowdies beat Louisville! Made a weekend out of it and stayed at the Hilton across the street so made for an easy commute. Rowdies are so much fun to watch!

Everything about a waterfront home ROWDIES game contributes to a great night of soccer--attacking style, great sight lines, efficient food and drink, and wonderful FAMILY vibe. The only drawback--PLEASE, drummers, give it a rest on the bass drum for a few minutes out of every ten--bring on the drum to celebrate goals and great plays, not constantly ignorant bang bang bang. Love the chants, the songs, the cheers--just not the drums.

I would suggest anyone to go to at least one game this year. It is a fun family atmosphere. I would think the opposing teams are blown away with the cheers crowd and "Rowdy fans" behind the net. I look forward to the next expansion!

It's always a great evening of sports and excitement. High attendance games are more fun, but can be challenging with the lines for everything. It's worth it, though! We LOVE going!

This place is an absolute joke. We got general admission tickets and had to stand on the stairs because the general admission section is so small. Nobody was willing to help us out and slide over. Took us about 20 minutes to find any general admission areas. Extremely poor organization on top of just overall selfish people at the event. Did not feel welcome at all.

First time at a pro soccer match and we loved it minus the opposing team fans foul mouths and rude hand gestures.

This was our first time at a Rowdies game and we really enjoyed it. The seats were close to the field and we were right at mid field for 28 dollars. The parking was easy and close. The entry was easy and everything was fine. The only problem was the long lines at the beer and refreshment stands.

They continue to improve the venue down at L Ln., Stadium. Had a great time. Will go again

This is a nice stadium to enjoy a game but stay away from the stupid drummer. It has nothing to do with soccer and you'll leave with a banging headache. Without the drummer you would probably sell more tickets. Otherwise enjoy the game. Come on you Rowdies.

nice stadium, competitive football, just make sure if you go to a day game at Al Lang sit on the Midfield Reserved side of the pitch or the sun is right in your face

Its like kissing your sister, seriously. Why no shoot outs. This was my first professional soccer game. My comment is that you wade through 90 minutes of basically boring running up and down waiting for a shootout, to see who wins, then nothing.. the music comes on and the game is over. I was stunned. I might as well have gone to the ballet, like my wife suggested.

Bought tickets for my Dad's BD. He was unable to walked the 26 steps to our seats. Spoke with a Rowdies rep and we were able to sit in the handicap section. Was treated kindly!!! Enjoyed the game, but feel our Rowdies was robbed with the penalty kick!!

We sat in the first row of midfield section one with the promise that people would be stopped from walking in front of us during the game. Instead, there was a constant stream of people walking in front of us to their seats and the security person -- who sat right there with the duty to make people go around -- refused to do anything about it. We missed a large number of key plays because people were walking by. A real waste of $160 ($80 per seat) plus fees. Don't buy these seats. There was a line at the entrance because the ticket technology was broken. We were also extremely disappointed with the action on the field. The players at times did not seem to be trying very hard and seemed to like to delay the game with overdramatic responses to small injuries. But the worst thing was that the official referee decided the game by giving Edmonton a very difficult to block penalty kick. The 1-0 result was clearly manufactured by the referee. A very frustrating result... especially when he continue to make calls all one way through the game. If this is NASL's product -- delays of game by overdramatic injuries and referees willing to make decisions on who wins a game -- then the league may not last long.

we had a great time at the match! We love the Rowdies (since 1975!) (BTW, the popcorn is a lot better than last year!)

This was our second game of the season. My wife won't go to a baseball game 'cause she doesn't enjoy the sport. So I make her happy with the Rowdies. The refs were hurting the Rowdies for the first 80 minutes of the match. But in the final 6 minutes and the 5 minutes of extended time, the Rowdies came charging back to at least tie the game. GO ROWDIES

This was an entertaining night out, watching skilled players, joining the crowd of enthusiastic supports, on a beautiful night in St. Pete.

The Rowdies are AMAZING! COYR!! The team worked well together although player changes were new.

As a long time Plymouth Argyle supporter, I've always enjoyed visiting other sporting events whilst on holiday, especially when the team wears green! Great to see a Rowdies win and all the staff I met at the stadium were really top notch. Nice to see Joe Cole running the midfield too.

This was my first Rowdies game, as I'm not from the area and was visiting Tampa. It was a lot of fun and we had great seats. We eventually went up to the fan crowd seating which was so much fun! I loved the chants and people. Unfortunately it had just rained, so I felt bad for the guys playing on that kind of field. It was like watching them play in a pool of water. I was really excited to see Joe Cole play (I'm a huge Chelsea fan) but he pretty much stomped off the field after the 0-1 defeat. So the ending wasn't pleasant, but oh well. It was overall a fun experience and I would go to another game if I visit again.

The Rowdies lost, but the environment was great. Love Ralph's Mob cheering the squad on. Glad they are getting more non soda beverage choices. Would like to see Nachos or a cheese dip for the pretzels, but all in all the Rowdies are improving the experience at Al Lang every season. It's a fun venue to watch some soccer. They really do the most with what they have.

The game really should have been a tie...but instead it was a loss!

Excellent front row cushioned seats. Merchandise was reasonably priced. Great time. Some may prefer higher seats for overall view, but was nice. Weather was cold and windy, but the Rowdies Den was nearby and another great way to watch. Will definitely go again, and next time, in our Rowdies shirts. :0)

The Rowdies game was great. My first time and definitely not the last. Picked up tickets the same day of the game and didn't have any issues showing the ticket to walk in on my phone.

The atmosphere was awesome! I felt like I was a La Liga game! It was great to see everyone out in their green and yellow. This was more fun than a MLS game. The fans make it great, and it doesn't hurt they won too! Can't beat it for the price, and the bar tenders were on point!

Fantastic time, great price, great fun! Sit with Ralph's Mob if you want a hilarious and raucous experience! Superb fans. Only let down was they ran out of the give away shirts right before we got there. Overall a wonderful way to spend an evening. Even non-soccer fans will enjoy the atmosphere!

The General Seating at only $12 a ticket.was a great choice and it allowed a good view of the game via a variety of seating choices.

Overall had a great experience @ the game. I was pleasantly surprised to see such a big crowd. Hopefully, they keep coming out to support the team. The field was obviously not regulation which I believe impacted the game. Hopefully, someday a soccer specific stadium will be built. The refereeing was terrible but that is part of the game. I thought the team effort was very good especially going down a man. I will definately be back to see more games.

My two grandsons and I really enjoyed the game. Good crowd, all seats looked like they had good viewing, fans great especially that wild bunch in upper deck. 1st time but we will be back.

Despite the fact that there was an hour delay during the game for a lighting storm, it was still a very entertaining time. Al Lang Field is a very nice soccer venue.

Enjoyed the whole experience from start to finish.

This is our second year to come to a game and we throughly enjoyed it again. The venue is excellent and the sight lines are very good. It was easy to get in and out and the seats were fine. My only complaint would be that a bottle of water was $4.

Great facility, wonderful views, exciting game.....terrible women's restroom facilities...long waits the entire match.

The stadium, while small, is in great condition and gives a freat view from any seat. I sat front row behind the goal and it was amazing. Got a picture with David Villa and Andre Blake!

GREAT family experience and amazing setting for top-level soccer!

We enjoyed seeing our favorite team, DC United, play in this beautiful smaller venue. It s right in the water so there are breezes. We were in the MFC in the first row and were thrilled to find ourselves next to the DCU bench. Clean bathrooms, nice family atmosphere, food and craft beers were all pluses.

Can't recall ever watching any organized matches where punches/pushes being thrown without Hard Reds being issued. Further, can't ever recall watching a Keepers protection ignored resulting in a free kick. JS

This is now the third Rowdies game I've taken to my eight-year-old daughter to. We have a blast every time and highly recommend as a fun, safe outing for the family. COME ON YOU ROWDIES!

Excellent and very family orientated great fireworks display

took our grandson there for his birthday . 3rd season playing soccer. turned the big 9. he had a great time. got some auto graphs after the game. His mom said they saw him on tv at the end getting autographs. sad part didn't know the players would take pictures of them getting autographs so I didn't take my smart phone in with me.

At first I thought the players were playing there own each game. [ I held a B coach license and was a certified FIFA ref through college level.] The break aways had no help from the team, good runs but no help downfield.. The 2nd half they did get it together, good ball control, and they started striking as a team. They looked like the team from 40 years ago. I was impressed with the play in the second half. GOOD game Rowdies, keep it up

We had a very nice evening cheering on the Rowdies to a win. I was with my grandson, who is 11yrs old, and it was his first soccer game and he enjoyed it. The crowd was very nice and I think it is great that no profanity is tolerated. It really felt like this was a safe family night where I did not have to worry about what my grandson would hear. Thank you for that. My only negative is that the employees were heard telling General Admission Ticket Holders to sit "anywhere" and that caused a problem for me, as a group of teens were in my seats and were refusing to move. A really nice fan stood up (over 6 feet) and explained where the General Admission seats were and told them to move. After telling them 2x, they did, without incident. That needs to be addressed with your employees. Other than that, great night!

Great game; I wish the Rowdies could play in a soccer stadium. There are very few 'good' seats for soccer in the baseball venue and those seats are properly allocated to season ticket holders willing to pay the premium. Prices for everything have increased, but are still fair. Go Rowdies -

What a great atmosphere and venue. Really enjoyed it!

Overall the game was good, but the ushers directed at the bottom of section 300 to section 301 and the seats, railings and aisle were covered in pigeon/bird excrement.

I love sporting events and this was my first professional soccer game. It was so much fun and very exciting. Our team lost and it didn't even matter. It may have been my first Rowdies game but definitely not my last!!

The game experience for this evening was great. As we have been to a number of Rowdies games we knew what to expect as we arrived at the stadium. As we have for most events we arrive with enough time to browse and mingle. This was the first time that we have used Ticketmaster as the ticket selection choice for a game. The ordering process was simple and easy however, once at the stadium our tickets had NOT been processed or printed, but had been charged to my credit card. After an unnecessary delay we did get our tickets but this should not have occurred with the amount of time between ordering the tickets and pick-up.

The Rowdies won an exciting game, the venue was nice, and the employees and other fans were congenial. This was the perfect way to spend the afternoon of the Fourth of July.

listening to "ralph's mob" chants and songs was as entertaining as the game itself. A very fun place to be. Also background view of the water is beautiful.

Rowdies provide an attractive style of play thats great to watch! Also the event is very family friendly. I always have a great time when I go to the games!

Great family event. My 11 year old son is very much a soccer fan but we all enjoyed the game. My wife, who is Scottish, was relieved that it was a good family atmosphere, without the fights and hooligan behavior commonly seen with football in the UK. Great venue, easy parking. They even put the end of the Lightning game on the big screen after the match. We will definitely be back!

This was my first ever real Soccer Game in person and I had a GREAT time!

It doesnt get any better than this. Two classic NASL teams taking each other on in a rivalry that dates back to the 1970's. The Tampa Bay Rowdies vs The Ft. Lauderdale Strikers in the Costal Cup (aka the Florida Darby). At home on May 16th, The Rowdies beat the Strikers 1 to Nil. An exceptionally great game with an exceptionally great audience. The best thing to do is to come to the game early at around 3 or 4 PM. Why? Because at the tailgate you can converse with fans of both teams. Meet the supporter groups including members that are actively involved with the team, some of whom have even been with these teams since the 70's. You can get free stuff from HardRock and get wings from Wing House. You can stop by the Rowdies store, or even the Rowdies Den (the Rowdies sports bar). The best thing is that this event is for all ages, I brought my 3 cousins and they played with other kids before the match. Dont miss out on this opportunity of a life time. An intense historical rivalry that brings out the best in Floridian Football. Dont miss out on the Darby. Vamos Florida Football!!!

Getting the tickets online then picking them up at the game was so easy. Had a lot of fun and the crowd was awesome. Can't wait to go back!

Seats were very comfortable. Could see the action and the large screen was great. Very enjoyable evening and for $30. It was a bargain. First time here will definitely return.

It's really amazing how good of an experience you can have here, compared to the other 3 local teams. Great atmosphere, lots of fun, great for the kids.

Exciting game by both teams....nice enhancements to the stadium including lawn seating....very courteous & friendly staff....affordable family fun! We are sporting our complimentary Rowdies auto magnets and sons Rowdies jersey. I have been Rowdies fan since the last 1970's and now my sons gets to experience them. We'll be back - go Rowdies!

Remodeled stadium was great. Atmosphere was wonderful. Love the open seating. Get a spot next to Ralph's Mob, and really get into the game!
