Broods

New Zealand's hottest new duo Broods are making a name for themselves in 2014 with the catchy electronic tunes of their eponymous debut EP. Although they just started playing shows under the moniker, the brother-sister duo's performances are mature and effortless as lead singer Georgia Nott sings hits like \"Bridges\" over her brother's pulsing beats and backing vocals. They'll leave fans wanting more as they hit the road for a string of highly anticipated tour dates, sharing the bill with Meg Meyers, Strange Talk, and Ellie Goulding. BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:Siblings Georgia and Caleb Nott got their start performing together as t.

Broods is one of my favorite bands and getting to see them was perfect. My friend and I traveled 4 hours to see them and they didn't disappoint. I would totally recommend them. The next time they tour I will totally be there!

Coming to this show I really didn't see myself always going to my Spotify picking out a broods album and hit play.....I bought these tickets originally for my girlfriend but next time I'll deff buy them for myself! Opening act Jarryd James didn't realize I listen to his song until I heard him live! But broods really put on a great show...they controled The atmosphere.... controlling our moods and tension within the crowd..

It was an insanely incredible concert!!!! Georgia and Caleb are fabulously talented and their dancing is so raw and entertaining. As an added bonus, they have great personalities and interact with each other in a easy going way on stage. Just can't wait to see them again. Also, their opener Erik Hassle was awesome as well! Bought his album already and would love to see him again too!

Broods came to Atlanta last night. Once of the best concerts I've ever been to. Why? Because I went with one of my daughters, the artistic one. She likes Broods, too! Not only that, but she knew more of the songs than I did! I was very impressed. Anyway, I wrote this lengthy blog post in her honor, so she remembers her first concert with me. Ah, I have to be honest, that's bullshit. I wrote it so that I would remember it, every detail. I hope there are many more like it. So awesome to share this with her, to have our tastes overlap like this! So happy to see her growing up so fast (both daughters actually). Great night. Even before the concert started she was texting her sister about how awesome it is. They didn't have t-shirts for sale, the one time I would have bought one! Sad because I was planning to buy one for my daughter. So I grabbed a poster off the wall (after asking a bouncer if it was okay, he said yes) as a souvenir. Fabulous concert. Broods was my first concert at The Masquerade and I have to say Everything about the performance was amazing. The band was very mature especially considering they had just formed in 2013. I think Broods will go far in their music career and I would highly recommend this to anyone

It was a really small venue, and I had an awesome spot in the 2nd row for the show. They brought a lot of energy to the stage, more than I expected for a low energy, good vibe type band. Georgia and Caleb obviously had this really huge respect for there fans that you could feel when they might talk between songs. I've been to a lot of concerts recently and this one that was up there. Good show that I'd definitely reccomend

The show overall was fantastic! I have some new bands that I will be following, The Griswolds were awesome, I am going to buy their EP asap! I really enjoyed The Broods, they have some great music. But.....I was completely blown away by Nightmare and the Cat, they have a new fan, I couldn't wait to get their EP Simple, it is my new replay over & over. The band took the time to come out to the lobby and talk to whom ever was there and made a special point to sign autographs. I will be following Nightmare & the Cat and will definitely be at their show when they are close.

Georgia and her brother were charming performers, and her vocals floated over the audience like Imogene Heap's. And Meg Myers blew us away with her opening performance.

The hot and upcoming group, BROODS, was stellar at their performance at the Mercury. I loved the intimate viewing, but they could've easily dazzled a very large crowd at a reputable venue. I look forward to seeing this group rise up as pop music's darlings.

I'll start by saying that Jarryd James (the opener) was quite talented, and put on a good show himself. But Broods was just so high energy and so consistent, it was amazing. I brought a friend with me who had never heard of the band, and he was quite impressed as well.

This was an amazing experience and the venue was wonderful. No problem finding parking or getting to the correct room or anything. Broods took over 2 hours to come onstage after the time the concert said it started. That was a little annoying but once they started playing it was SO PUMPED UP and awesome! I danced the whole time, others weren't so enthusiastic but there were a few people in the crowd jumping around as much as me. I love broods' music so much. 10/10 would go again!!!

broods were fantastic, I've known about them since February of this year (around when they released their first project) and I've loved them ever since. the venue is pretty small and stuffy, but it was a good thing, with music like that made the people happy regardless of the venue, not like it was a bad venue or anything, i would definitely see another show there. you could see and hear the genuine emotion that Georgia was giving off singing because the whole crowd was digging the music and giving really positive vibes towards the singer to feel comfortable where they were. All in all, it was an amazing show, good to see them before they explode, because with music like theirs they are bound to get big.

The HOLLOW in Albany is a great little club (250 capacity) geared for rising talent. Getting into the club was a process that moved at a glacial pace but other than that it was a positive club experience and the sound system was excellent. The opening act BEAR GRASS is a local talent from Albany fronted by KATIE HAMMON. This was their most important gig to date and they rose to the occasion by treating the sold out club to some melodic indie folk swirled with refreshing bursts of instrumental energy that were brief but poignant. Point is- their music was solid as is but these surprises raised them to the next level. THIS IS A BAND I WILL MONITOR GOING FORWARD! I was expecting the BROODS to put on a solid layed back performance anchored in the amazing vocals of GEORGIA NOTT. What I got was that and a whole lot more! They opened with NEVER GONNA CHANGE but rather then mellow it was in your face high energy that would set the pace for their entire set. GEORGIA ruled the stage with deliciously provocative moves and power vocals. KALEB NOTT provided excellent instrumental support as did the drummer whose name I don't have. Now that I've seen them live there is no doubt in my mind that this band will rise consistently over the next 2 years. It was a great show from start to finish and well worth the 3 hr drive from Jersey.

I originally went to see Meg Myers but of course after seeing the name of the band who was headlining, I decided to look them up to hear what they were like. Sure enough, I loved The Broods too and bought their cd in hopes of having it before the show. I've been a long time fan and supporter of Meg Myers. Her raw and fierce energy and lyrics are just perfect. There isn't a song I don't like from her! The Broods were a great show as well. I love Georgia's delicate, airy voice and their beats with grooves. A last minute addition was added to the show by the name of Scavenger Hunt. I thought they put on a great performance as well. All in all, it was a heck of a show for such a low price, well worth it plus more! I was able to meet EVERYONE too!!!!! That was so exciting :D I had cds and posters signed by everyone, which made it such an awesome and memorable night. Everyone was so nice and friendly. They hung out with everyone throughout the show as each performance was finished.

I have been a fan of Broods since their first EP, and I can say after waiting 2 years to see them live, it was well worth the wait. They are an incredibly talented group that can truly perform. The energy in the room during the performance was unbeatable. I have never been to a concert where I have felt as much positive energy in my life. Not only do they put on a great show, but they are also just generally wonderful people. I was able to meet them after the show, and they were 2 of the nicest musicians I have had the pleasure of speaking with. I cannot recommend them enough. If you are looking for a great performance, and some fun, this is the group to go see.

Not only did they sound fantastic live, but the entire show was an amazing experience. The production was well-done and the set list covered such a great range of all of their music. They even had a small acoustic portion that was just lovely. I took my boyfriend who isn't even that familiar with their music and he agreed it was a fantastic show. As someone who appreciates the EXPERIENCE of seeing great live music - this was one of the best shows I've been to. (But maybe I'm biased as a fan!)

I've seen Broods several times now and this tour/show was by far their best performance yet. They seemed more relaxed and willing to just have fun. Georgia's voice was amazing as usual and Caleb killed the drum kits, keyboards, and the guitar. I think having a backup singer and drummer also made their set 10x better. If you haven't seen Broods yet, I definitely recommend checking them out on this tour!

Georgia and Caleb are the sweetest people I've ever met. I had the chance to purchase VIP meet and greet tickets and I'm so happy I did. They're both so down to earth and humble and this shows on the stage too. My friend and I were practically front row and I heard everything so clearly. It took a while for people to warm up and actually sing/move around which was a bit awkward as an audience member who was already ready to move but once it really got started, people were into it. Georgia's voice is so beautiful and gentle but she hits high notes with a lot of power which of course drove the audience wild (Freak of Nature was definitely my favorite of the night). Their live performance is just as good, if not better, than their recorded versions. Every song they played was great but I think the best ones were Recovery, Are You Home, and Conscious, just to name a few. And when she sat down with Caleb to do the acoustic set it was almost mesmerizing. Their stage presence is 10/10 and I love how Georgia takes the time to actually engage and talk with the audience and not just sing the songs and leave. They came back out for an encore and I think we were all singing louder than her because I could barely hear her! It was incredible and I think it made them very happy too. And Jarryd James, the opener, has such an amazing voice as well and a great band behind him. He sings "tragic love songs" as he put it, but they're great and he brings a good, almost sensual vibe to the stage. He was a great opening act for Broods. Overall, this was the best concert I've ever been to!

They were so good. Georgia's singing and dancing is fantastic. Caleb and the band were great with various keyboards and drums. The only thing I didn't like were the flashing lights. I do wish shows had less strobe sort of lights because they make me dizzy and are bad for people with epilepsy but other than that it was a quality show.

Really like this group especially. I saw them last tour and had to catch them again. The venue is a great venue and was perfect for this size act. Plenty of volume but mixed really well both the opener and the headliner sounded great. They have upped their game and I like the addition of the extra keyboard player on this tour it filled out the stage nicely. They played quite a long set compared to last tour and were able to cover a majority of the material from both albums and left me wanting nothing more except to see them again soon hopefully
