I went with two other friends. They had seats, i had GA floor. I got rained on the whole time waiting to get in the stadium. It was an outside show and it rained most of the show. I wouldn't change it for a thing. I loved every bit of it. There was a beer truck right next to the line, so me and all the other Metallica fans got drunk in the rain together, telling stories and sharing love for Metallica. It was my first time seeing Metallica and It's not my last. They played for 2 1/2 hours, it did rain for the first 5 songs. James said "Let's see if Metallica is waterproof!" They sounded perfect live, the stage production, the sound. I was really close to the snake pit, about 12 feet away. So i got to make eye contact and almost scored a pick from James, but my hands were wet and someone else beat me to it. Don't miss a Metallica show. I drove 5 hours for them.

My love for Metallica started with Master of Puppets and has remained #1 in my heart ever since. My brother attended every time he could and I was never able to go and I would cry every time! They continue to improve their craft! Polishing up their early work and delivering stunning new work... they are just incredible... An entertaining, meaningful, and memorable show. One of my buddies said it was the best out of 23 Metallica shows he's seen!!! To be part of a show like this is to celebrate life, camaraderie with your fellow man, explore their insights and passion, etc. etc. etc... Damn they're good.. Watching everyone else PUMPED UP is a real feeling of unity and cheer!!! Bottom line: This band explores the "celebration of life" like no other, and being a part of it is AWESOME.

Yes the ticket price was steep & I had some 'spainin' to do when the MC bill came, but my kids had a blast and Metallica was clearly having a good night themselves. And all for a great cause. Not the museum/memorabilia so much as a youth center for cultivating the next generations of Marin Rockers. Watching my 9 year old daughter rock out was worth it.

I have seen Metallica 4 times. It was first time since 2003. We bought general admission tickets which are always the best for band like Metallica. You are closer to the stage and submerged in the performance. You can also move around based on personal preference. It was a great show. It was also the first time that I saw them outside in a large venue like the Rose Bowl. The sound was good, the show and performance was amazing. The video monitors also really added to the experience. I would encourage any fans to see them live as they are better now then 25 years ago even if they are not as popular as they once were in the 80s & 90s..

The opening bands Gojira, and Avenge Sevenfold were great and the sound was good. When Metallica took the stage it seemed like they turned on like 4 more banks of speakers and then it was a Rock show! You could feel the music down in the general admission section on the floor!

Best show Ive ever seen, EVER!!!! I'm still stoked, they are my favorite band and i hope i get to see them again. The sound the lights and the whole damn rowdy crowd was worth the two days leave i took and the money i spent. Being center stage damn near on the rail was a bonus, literally on my feet for 16 hours, anything to see them live though...awesome show. NEED MORE STARS LOL

Could not hear at the top of the 300 level. Those seats are not recommended for complexity of this type of show. Couldn't hear vocals and music was garbled. We moved to the bottom of the 300 level and could see and hear perfectly! What an amazing show!

I bought tickets to my 4th Metallica show and to reward my Son for graduating High School. On a whim, I also threw my name in the hat for meet the band and snake pit passes. I won the snake pit passes and my son's first Metallica experience was unforgettable and he will never experience another concert quite the same!

This is the 4th time I've seen Metallica in a 30 year span. One thing I will say is that I've never seen them play for less than 2 hours. This show clocked in at 2:15. They played several new songs from the "Hardwired" album and a lot of classics. Fun time for all.

The show was perfect for my first ever Metallica concert. I only wish there weren't poles of speakers in my view and the guitar sound for Avenge Sevenfold was less so we could actually hear the words. The sound for the opening acts was so bad. We couldn't enjoy them that much. Metallica was awesome! Loved the theatrical effects. I look forward to seeing them again.

It was an amazing show. There was mosh pits throughout the show(I was in one) people aren't jerks anyone who fell they'd stop to pick him/her up and get back at it. I also met a lot of people very nice and cool people. The opening acts were great Gojira and Avenged Sevenfold really put on a nice show. Metallica however was brilliant when the lights go out and "ecstasy of gold" starts playing on the monitors you know everything is about to go down. Definitely would go again and recommend to see Metallica.

Seriously, 5 stars is not enough!!! I've been to many concerts since I arrive in San Diego but I've never been to something like that. At first I was really impressed by the stadium, I've never been to such a big show, but people were super nice. I went alone but managed to talk with the person around me. Avenged Sevenfold and Gojira did a good job opening, the vocals were good and the show was nice. And then Metallica took the stage and what can I say, it was too short (despite the fact that they sang for 2 hours!!!). It was just magical: fire, fireworks, lights, everything was perfect and the music....well! If someone was asking me if they should go to see them in concert or not I would immediately say yes so do yourself a favor and buy a concert ticket ;)

First time seeing them, but a long time fan. Been listening to them since '88, so a dream turned into reality. They played for 2 hours and 15 minutes, and they could have kept on going. It was nonstop kick-ass music, with a great pyrotechnics and laser show to back it all up...not to mention huuuuuge screens behind them that displayed either the band members or imagery that fit the songs. The sound was absolutely amazing, the energy was high, and I would do it again in a heartbeat. I wish they played more older songs and less newer songs, but I understand why they did it. Just an amazing experience all around. Metallica is the best!

Longtime Metallica fan; however, went mainly to see Avenged Sevenfold. Avenged was awesome; however, too short but that's understandable since they were the opening act. I was not aware of the production value that we'd receive from Metallica... By far the greatest Show I've ever been to!!! What happened during One alone was probably worth the price of admission!

Concert was amazing...they played the songs with a higher tempo and a bit heavier Sound was too loud and not 100% clear, the kind you would hear in a stadium concert as against the richer sound in an amphitheater. They played most of the classics and 4 songs from their latest album(hardwired to self destruct) Great display with pyrotechnics, fireworks and visual effects. An overall enjoyable experience. Would definitely recommend.

Only got to see 3 songs from avenged sevenfold wish could have seen more. Trying to park was terrible and the distance from the venue made us miss most of who we came to see. Left 3 hours before concert started and still missed most of it. Metallica was great. First time seeing them and great show

We seen Metallica 19 years ago and knew it was going to be a good show but they blew us away!!! I had a smile on my face the entire show. It was seriously the best show I've ever seen and I go to a ton of concerts.

First time I saw Metallica was 1986 in San Francisco, at the Cow Palace. They kicked ass then and kicked ass again at the Rose Bowl.

Great performance and use of pyro & lighting. The sound was amazing. The Rose Bowl is huge but clearly wasn't built for that area. Getting in and especially out was nightmare scenario (two hours just to get out)!...otherwise 5 stars

Metallica is one of the greatest rock bands of all time. Even with 3 decades under their belt they still lead the rock scene with hit music and amazing shows. This was my first time seeing them live and now I cannot wait to see them again. James still has one of the best rock voices in the business, and he sounds just as good live as recorded. The light show, pyrotechnics, and videos all made for an engaging, fun and mesmerizing performance. If you like rock music at all, then see this amazing band while you can!
