Croz and his band @ Portland Maine were over the top- even Croz said he had the chills at one point! This show was the best and I have been to many! New additions of Mai on bass and Michele on piano were so good- nice to see such young musicians join the band !

A GREAT performance from Croz and his band. The set list was well balanced - something for everyone. He shared insights about his songs that were well received . It's great to see A Hall of Famer still putting out such quality new music and obviously still having fun performing. I'd like to see him again this tour... I enjoyed this show that much !!!

Way too much time devoted to new songs, none of which were particularly memorable. I admire musicians who continue to produce, but these songs were not worth it.

Steely Dan Guitarist and David Crosby's son rounded out this excellent ensemble. Crosby's vocals were a bit shakey at first but then he warmed up quickly and Nash was spot on. Love Town Hall for a show. Very intimate. Not a bad seat in the house. Bought the USB stick of the show...A bit pricey but worth it. Would have perfered to buy a digital download...would probably be faster and cheaper.

Show was fantastic! They played for 3 hours with only a 15 min intermission. Their voices were unbelievable and the band was great. Crosby's son was on keyboard and they played a few songs that he had written.

David Crosby and Graham Nash were excellent as usual. I would see them again and again, I never tire of hearing their wonderful voices. They are as terrific as they were when they 1st started singing and they have only gotten better on the instruments. Steven Stills was missed of course but the awesome guitar player in his place did just fine. No complaints on anything..........

The show was good but not outstanding. Theater seats are extremely small, less legroom than on an airplane! C&N vocals were strong (although venue acoustics were fair at best) and the band was excellent. Only one encore song.....perhaps because many in audience yelled out "shut up and sing" when politics or social issues were discussed by Graham or David. Quite rude and unexpected since they have been known for social activism for the last 40 years.

We were looking forward to seeing Crosby & Nash - It's hard to admit but at our present ages60/54 young, things like the show starting on time and professional performance and delivery are important. Crosby & Nash were wonderful, my husband and I had really memorable night - they played 3 hours -we had a 15 min break between sets - each song was just as good as the first time you heard it. At one point we looked as each other laughing because we have two cats in the yard.......:) My husband did say he thought that was the sappiest song ever written, but I love it and now it is our song.

I've been to many CSN shows, with Young as well. I am 45,grew up listening to CSNY and went to my first show Daylight Again tour, as a Jersey boy I never miss them when they are in town together or solo. This performance absolutely amazed me as it was the best show I've seen as yet. They are getting better with age. David and Graham wowed the audience from beginning to end. Thank You for caring enough to always give your all!!!! God Bless

I can't believe their voices. After 45 years they can still belt them out. The backup band was the best I've heard in a long time. Could have done a little less on the politics but its their gig.

Don't know what it was, but Crosby and Nash sounded better at The Paramount the other night than I have heard them sound in years. We are convinced it was the acoustics in that beautiful, old theatre -- even Graham Nash commented on how great they felt they sounded in that house.

The Crosby and Nash concert at the Paramount was great. The theater was beautiful and it should be put on a historical safe list so it can be perserved for years to come. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. I would rather see a concert at the Paramount than at any of the larger venues. I will be "on line" for more tickets as soon as they come back to this venue.

I'd been looking forward to this concert for months, to see David perform without Crosby & Stills on stage. During the concert, I loved his voice and his music, the older the better. His music and lyrics are timeless and his voice has maintained its strength and command! James Raymond on keyboard was incredible! Jeff Pevar on lead guitar was very good and fun to watch, but some of the riffs did not appear to be being played live, as the music we heard did not match up with what his fingers were doing! My wife and I became significantly distracted by what seemed to be an altered state of the drummer and bass player with an ongoing smiley visual dialogue between the two. Though ultimately no complaints there, as their music was spot on! David himself seemed a bit altered and disorganized, perhaps its just age related? Playing in the "Evergreen State" lead us to speculate whether pre-concert activities may have been a factor in what we were seeing! Overall, it was a very enjoyable evening!

If you are going to hear the songs from CSN, CSNY, CN or Byrds, it will be a disappointment. Did a couple of oldie songs, but almost all his set was post greatest hits songs that most people in the audience did not know. Unlike going to see Joe Cocker or Beach Boys etc., Cos has been making music up to now and is not playing stuff from 40 years ago. A lot of people left at intermission.

What a great evening! I took my wife, 14 year old son and 27 year old daughter to celebrate her birthday with a true Rock Icon! David's voice was more beautiful and more powerful than ever and his incredibly talented band blew us all away! An evening filled with older classics like Deja Vu and his newest material David gave his all to the audience and his sense of humor, song and band stories and outspoken political views kept us all entertained and wanting more! If you get an opportunity to catch him... GO!

I saw David last night in South Orange New Jersey and all I can say is...WOW David is one of the few artists I have seen that actually has become better with age. He is fine wine for sure. I have seen David since 1970 and yesterdays show was by far a David Crosby we have been waiting for. Not only was his music perfect but his voice is AMAZING. He did not miss a note. His voice is that of an Opera Singer. David has reached the top. I was worried when he split from Graham and the bunch but I think it was for the better. Between the solo Graham Nash shows and Crosby shows I have recently seen, David is far more superior on every level. Not only is his music and singing amazing but I could listen to him talk all night. He tells short stories between each song and they are truly wonderful to hear. No matter what frame of mind David is in, he is a likable guy. He has a way of being real and speaking in such a manner that you love what he says. He is us. He is everyone. I had 1st row center for New Jersey and you can't beat that. His son backs him up on piano and all I can say is WOW again. David s son James is one of the most amazing piano players I have heard. He is the PERFECT backup for David. It is truly amazing to watch both of them. They fit together like a fine jig-saw puzzle. And both of their personalities click. A positive force for sure. The songs David plays will amaze you. Many are from his first album and he plays them like he wrote them yesterday. I liked it so much I am seeing him again in Poughkeepsie. Go see him. You will have a great time.....He's worth a lot more than he's charging.

This is what my husband posted onto his Facebook page the day after the concert...David, this morning I'm sitting at work but thinking about your performance last night at The Town Hall in NYC. My wife surprised me with tickets for my birthday and it was really a great gift! People probably tell you what an impact your music lyrics have had on them. My formative years were fueled by them as I skipped to the next Crosby track on the CSN or C&N albums trying to get some kind of meaning to what was going on. And of course "if I could only remember my name..." That album has got to have the most creative capital on it out of any album, ever, yet it still is David Crosby. You've pulled me through some tough times and made me question things that should be questioned. Politically we have very similar opinions although we may arrived at them from different angles, but to express your political views through music is what has created some of your greatest songs and I appreciate that. It's so good to see you back and stronger than ever- your voice is as powerful as ever. The guitar work on "In my dreams" was really top notch, btw! Your new tracks strike a chord with me especially the track that just missed your latest album. I'm not sure of the name? All the best to you and thank you for continuing to write and perform! Back to work....

Just David and his songs; absolutely no need for more voices or instruments. Guitars were constantly moving to and from the stage for the various alternate tunings that make the music so engaging. The angelic voice carried us to new heights, but this angel has cajones. He treated us to his new and old songs and even one of Joni's. In between songs he shared his views and opinions in a humorous and often self-deprecating manner. I could not have asked for more and the Town Hall venue was the perfect place for this event. I would have preferred if a few audience members could have stayed silent but they could not; they had to keep talking at David between songs as if their comments were interesting and valuable and he was there only to converse with them; very sad. Overall impression= 12 out of 10

Going to see David Crosby was a bit of a question mark - will his voice still be good, will we like his new stuff, will he play any of his old stuff. A resounding yes to all three! His voice is still strong and gentle and easy to listen to. His new songs left us wanting more, and his band was stellar - instrumentally and vocally. He allowed each band member to shine. That's a true musician who loves music more than himself. I hadn't heard 'Long Time' in a long time, and was reminded all over again why I loved it. I've had Wooden Ships on my iPod forever, but hearing it live was awesome. And Ohio, who could ask for more. Ponte Vedra Concert Hall is small and intimate, with great acoustics. All in all, a perfect show.

Mr. Crosby is on tour at 78 years old after losing everything to drugs and jail. Unfortunately doesn't own the songs from CSN and ruined Wooden Ship with rendition. Good voice, great band BUT would scratch the political statements. My husband was spit on enough coming back from Viet Nam at 20 years old didn't need to hear Mr. Crosby denounce our government on Memorial Day! What other country could he go to and get $100/head for no recognizable songs? We left sad.

David Crosby has an amazing voice. That was clear and I am glad I went. My husband, who is a rock and roll fan, only stayed because of me. Crosby s demeanor was troubling at times, especially when he joked that his band were a-holes and his politics could be offensive. Most of his songs were newer but the crowd clearly loved the music we knew from the past. Those 3 songs went over well. One was at the end of the first set and the 3rd was the encore.

Ever creative! Always writing news stuff! Great back up band! They really rocked! Even at his age he was able to carry through some of the old favorites. David Crosby has been an inspiration to me as a musician for over 50 years! I know that there won't be too many more concerts like this. It was truly a privilege and a joy to hear him sing and play his music. If you have the opportunity to see him...Go! The Parker Playhouse is a great venue to see any entertainment! The seats are very comfortable and not too squeezed together like the Kravits Center which is ridiculous in orchestra seating for the price you pay sometimes! I have seen a number of musicians in the Parker and have enjoyed myself immensely every time. It is a wonderful alternative to the oversized Broward and the Kravits. Check out their schedule of events.

Absolutely amazing! World Class! The moment they began to play, myself and the people sitting around me were like OMG they sound amazing! I was blown away! One of the best concerts I have ever been to. David and the background singer girls together sounded absolutely brilliant together and the harmonies were like listening to the original CSNY harmonies of the 70's. It was truly a treasure to see this amazing artist play so many of his most beloved songs. David is on top of his game and sounding like the world class musician and vocalist that he truly is. This 2.5 hour show was unbelievably good! Crosby's voice and acoustic guitar playing were both in fine form, despite his 76 years, and his 5-piece "Sky Trails" band was simply amazing. They can seemingly play anything, from folk to rock to jazz and anything in between, and they sounded very tight and well-rehearsed. The trademark Crosby multi-part vocal harmonies were also excellent, with most of the band members also singing various backup parts (with keyboardist Michelle Willis singing the lead on 2 songs). On top of that, the sound quality inside Portland's State Theater was very good, if a little loud (without any noticeable distortion though). The set list was made up of about 50% "old favorites", mostly from Crosby's CSN(&Y) years, and 50% "new stuff" from Crosby's three most recent "solo" albums, "Croz", "Lighthouse" and "Sky Trails", plus a few selections from the jazz-tinged "CPR" albums (Crosby, Jeff Peavy, and James Raymond, who also make up the core of this current "Sky Trails" band). All-in-all, this sold out show was one of the best musical events I have ever attended... with the emphasis on the music, not distracting lights, smoke, pyrotechnics and skimpy outfits! It was more than worth the $41 ticket price (plus TM's $9 "processing fee") that I paid for a decent seat on the main floor.

Started 8:15. Ended 10:30. Intermission about a half hour. I checked set lists for other shows on the tour and he plays same songs each show- so no reason to see him again. He does make some unnecessary comments about his prior partners. For his 76 years his voice is still pretty good and there were sparks of his once amazing voice. His anti-Trump speeches are to be expected. Prison, age nor loss of long time friends have shown him humility. Now the band was awesome! Loved the bass player and drummer. The voice on the woman playing keyboards was also excellent. Lead guitarist played very well- excellent really- but he made so many faces and contortions as he played- looked very constipated. Really the high points were the last song Wooden Ships- which was done a lot like how Jefferson Airplane did it, and the encore Ohio, which was a treat considering his poor relationship with Neil Young.

OK, I admit it. I'm an old fart. Grew up listening to the the Byrds and CSN & sometimes Y. I went to the David Crosby & Friends, Sky Trails Tour 2017 at the Egg and it did not meet my expectations. Way too few recognizable songs with way too long instrumentals in each of them. And he chose Ohio as his finale song. Really? "Four dead in Ohio" Yeah, we all know the lyrics but couldn't he have thought of a more up beat song to end on?

David still has the songs and the voice to create an truly entertaining 2.5 hour show. The band was chosen with care and the songs performed with passion. He focused on the music and old stories, and only touched briefly on our current state of the union. The lead guitarist was a ton of fun to watch, but the focus was Crosby's voice and lyrics. Still among the best ever. Catch this show if he is coming to your town.

David Crosby is soaring creatively at this stage of his life. Surrounded by a wonderful group of talented musicians he presented a variety of new and old songs. The new songs from his wonderful album "Sky Trails" ranged from complex with multiple chord changes and kind of a Jazz feel (think Steely Dan with a better vocalist - "She's Got to be Somewhere") to just a simple and beautiful duet on the title track. David talked a lot between songs to tell you where his head was at while he was writing a song (Example - Laughing was a song written to George Harrison during his spiritual submersion in Indian Culture) Great Show - Not to be missed if he comes to your city.

Band was great, but harmonies were way out of whack and Crosby needs to sing more and talk less on his Politcal Views. Walked out after the 2nd rant on how messed up the country is?? He seems to live okay in Santa Barbara, so cry me a river. Very disappointed on music and mouth.

After all these years and all he s been through, still a master musician. Surrounded himself by incredible musicians. Fantastic show. Crowd was so into it David was a little emotional at the end. No one in the place, crowd or performers, wanted to leave.

No seat is bad at this venue, still was lucky to have 3rd row right section seats. Crosby s voice was perfect as well as the members of his accompanying band. About half of the time is spent on stories about the songs, the other half music. Worth the price and time!

The venue is very good, the music was good, it was the speech between the songs that was disgusting. Hate speech. Politics and opinions in music is just fine. It is the music that people pay for. When it turns into a platform of speaking rhetoric and hate for people, you will offend at least half of the people and some will take it. I will not. We walked out.

Crosby covered oldies from CSN&Y, CPR, the Byrds and a sampling off of his latest record. In between songs he'd talk about meeting Lennon, David Gilmore and introducing Harrison to Ravi Shankar and his sitar. A fun, fun night!

Totally enjoyed seeing Croz at Hoyt Sherman Place. Liked the mix of CSN songs with his solo work. After all, this tour is in support of Sky Trails. Since we are similar in thinking politically, I enjoyed his commentary on the US and world. If you don't think there isn't going to be politics at his concert, Ohio is a political song as are others from CSNY. Did the Meet and Greet and it was worth every penny. Croz was such a nice man to us and we treated him with respected and he was very respectful to us. He posed for photos with everyone at the Meet and Greet. The words to Ohio have been wringing in my ears since the concert.

David's voice was great and his band was very good and rocked it. Being a CSN fan, I love the harmonies. The singers in his band do a good job with harmonies on his songs. His music is different but so good. He did sing at least 4 CSNY songs, ending with Ohio. David inserted a number of great stories, telling them as only he can. The venue was intimate and it felt like we were at David's house hanging out enjoying some music.

He complains about big companies and how streaming companies are stealing his money and how he does get paid. He asks you to buy a CD and then turns around a ticks off 1/2 of his revenue stream by going political. It doesn't matter the side you are on; I didn't pay to hear political speeches. Dumb, dumb, dumb! We walked out! What a waste.

Age has apparently had no effect whatsoever on David's voice or energy. We've been lucky enough to see him several times over the past few years and I hope we get to see him several more. This was one of the best performances ever. His band is amazing (of course James was there), Steve D on drums, and his new bassist and keyboard player are really good. The selection of songs was just the right mix of old and new, the energy was super high, and it was just a really good time. The Uptown is such a nice venue, not a bad seat in the house, so again, just a wonderful experience.

This was the first time that I saw David perform solo. I've seen CSN many times, CSNY 3 times, and Stephen twice. David looked happy, healthy, and sang beautifully. The mix of songs was good, spanning all the years including songs I've never heard before in concert. He did seem genuinely happy and enjoying himself which came through in the quality of the concert.

I've loved David Crosby since I was 16 and he was in the Byrds. This band he is touring with was INCREDIBLE! Each musician was outstanding in their own right, but his guitar player, Jeff Pevar, was OUTSTANDING! Lots and lots of pure rock 'n roll music and lots of jamming! Took a friend who didn't really know that much about them and made a convert! David's voice is still strong and smooth at 75. Highly Recommend!

I've said it before ,and i"ll say it again..."I wanna be David Crosby when i Grow Up "....an absolutely amazing show at Vina Robles Amphitheater.....He said it so well himself when he first came on stage..."i don't know how this all keeps happening for me...I'm supposed to be dead already !" the Friends he has in this band are incredible Musicians,Tight as a Ducks Ass.....The Bottom end from the rhythm section filled the room, and there was no room to fill, Simply Acoustically Amazing.....Two Totally Satisfying Sets, Including some greats from the CSN&y days....probably the greatest version of Deja Vu I have Ever Heard, and i've seen them Live many times .....All I"m sayin' is if you get the chance to experience this band live before either you or he dies....do not pass it up you will leave needing a Cigarette,if ya get my drift....and i don't even smoke...Thank you Vina Robles ,and Croz \u2014 feeling entertained.

I am sorry to say that this was one of the weakest performance I have ever seen him do. He came on stage and just said "Hi" its cold here, thanks for coming His song choices we as if he was singing to a senior citizens home, most of us in the audience were close but not there yet There were very few moments of hope for this 1 1/2 performance, then he got political! I didn't pay top dollar to hear his views on the President! Just sing, that's what you do, or should have done, best

First off, nothing wrong with new songs but feel free to mix it up with old favorites. He played one old song and had standing response ( this was the only time anyone stood) .all his new stuff sounded the same. He was way to political and even told a fan to f.... off when shouting just play some music. What did we pay to hear, music or a politician. He said he hates politicians but was up there preaching like one. Very disappointed....never again David Crosby...used to be one of my favorites but has lost sight of who the music is for.

It started out with a beautiful multi-colored sunset, the wind died down nicely and the stage was set for what was supposed to be a wonderful 2 hours with a legendary local superstar. My wife and I, joined by two close friends, were all road-ready for a nostalgic \u2018Déjà vu evening fully anticipating the wonderful tunes of yester-year such as Wooden Ships , Teach Your Children . Helpless , Southern Cross , Carry On , Ohio and the like. But to our surprise and amazement that never happened. Instead we were all subjected to Crosby s new creations from Lighthouse which (honestly) were pleasant but not that good and certainly not what we came to hear. In over 2 hours Crosby played only one oldie (Long Time Gone) which was so well-received it resulted in a standing ovation (there s a clue David). In the end, this concert was singularly the worst I ve attended in 35 years. And I can promise you everyone around me in about a ¾ filled amphitheater all felt the same way. It was awful. How is it even possible that Crosby would deny several thousand people the pleasures of listening to the music they came to hear? Ridiculous, absolutely ridiculous.

I was very unhappy with the concert. Crosby had written a bunch of new songs recently and unfortunately, that's all he played. Only once did he play any of his old songs from the 60s and 70s, which was what I wanted to hear, the songs that made him famous. Will never go to another of his concerts.

Love Crosby and the whole band was amazing, but an entire evening with only a couple of recognizable songs from CSN was disappointing. At one point, even he alluded to the fact that he was playing songs "you've never heard before." We certainly appreciate that musicians move on and he is still creating wonderful music, but clearly it's his older stuff that sells out an audience.

Dave Crosby were both extremely talented, funny, had great stories and great music with very gifted musicians. As a guitar player myself I really appreciated Dave's playing skills and Jeff his lead guitarist, wow was he phenomenal.

Since living in SoCal, we have attended many great concerts mostly in outdoor venues year round! We are especially fond of the older groups from the 70's or 80's, including Crosby, Stills, & Nash, Chicago, Herman's Hermits, America, Monkees, etc. However, last night we went to Humphrey's by the Bay to see David Crosby & friends, and were terribly disappointed. Approaching 76, he still has good pitch, but his new music is monotonous and political views laced into the concert was in poor taste, including repeating a story twice (once in each set), which was unnecessary. The first set was all his current CPR music ending with one song from CSN&Y. After intermission, he continued to sing new cuts from his CPR album as we and most of the crowd started exiting the concert shaking our heads. He may be in the Music Hall of Fame with his time with the Byrds and CSN&Y, but alone he is at best a bitter, old hippie who says he loves his country, but like many of today who disparage anyone who doesn't see things his way. I give the concert a D- and wouldn't recommend wasting your good hard earned American money on someone who can't move on from the past!☹️

He played only one song we knew before we left 20 minutes into the 2nd half, everything else was from "CPR", ( a band Crosby played in with his very talented son). We enjoyed seeing him and hearing his voice as well as his comments in between songs, however, we did not have the same enthusiasm for the music.

Let's ask the question " Do you go to concerts to hear NEW music from that artist, or songs you know and love? Or, perhaps a mix of the two? Judging from this crowd, most came to hear the songs of yesterday..The ones we know and love. The ones David Crosby made famous. The ones that are in our hearts and souls.... NOT A ONE WAS SUNG! NOT ONE. NOT ONE, NOT ONE! Every single song he sang was flat and out of key, was similar to the last one, had no melody, no rhythm, and made no sense! I HATE songs that are up and down in structure, change keys mid phrase, and that sound basically like Jazz....In fact, I hate Jazz...No rhythm, no structure, no melody....And that was what this was...a mess of indulgence....Sorry. Love David Crosby..Wish he would have sang just ONE of the songs I came to hear, and paid GOOD money to hear.
