Grace Jones outdid her self, what a show. She danced, entertained, encouraged and we all had lots of fun. She knows how to get the PEOPLE rallied up for fun. She looks fabulous and her music is timeless & related to today. It was great seeing the young and the older followers of Grace Jones all in once place, this was the best show this year and not costly. Thank you Grace Jones.

Great show, but our seats were not the best. The floor was the place to be, which we only discovered as we exited before the encore.

The Dengue Fever opening act was classy and original. The sounds Of Montreal were just bearable. After a while their antics on stage became painful to watch. They need to take dancing lessons and hire a choreographer! They were on stage way too long. Grace Jones has lost none of her allure. She was simply fabulous!

Hands down, the best concert I've ever seen. I am amazed that I had this incredible opportunity to see Grace Jones. Incredible costumes, incredible music, incredible woman.

Amazing show! The Roseland Ballroom is a nice intimate space. Seating on the wall is available for those that arrive early. Grace Jones' performance was nothing short of amazing! There was a costume change for every song performed! Grace walked the entire stage and engaged the crowd throughout! She is an amazing woman on a level of her own..nothing to compare with or compete with! I would go again and again to see her.

The night was perfect! Grace Jones was amazing!!!!

Grace Jones still has it at age 61 and sounds amazing! She told the the audience,"I'm very demanding",and took control of the enitire crowd ALL night long. She opened the show covered in a silver cloak and performed the opening track "This Is Life" from her NEW awesome Album,HURRICANE,and the crowd went nuts. Before even seeing her the crowd loved it! After the song ended,the cloak came off revealing her first of about 8 costume changes.... The crowds response to seeing for the first time was absolutley fabulous,and she stood there posing and modeling and loving every minute of it! After such a long break fom performing live,you may expect a "greatest hits" set list,but Ms. Jones let us know she had a new album out. It was DEFINITELY The Hurricane Tour! I think she may have performed the entire HURRICANE album,mixed with MANY Grace Classics,such as;"Pull Up To The Bumper","Demolition Man","Slave To The Rhythm",and "My Jamaican Guy". With her unforgettable cover versions of Iggy Pop's "Night Clubbing",Roxy Music's "Love Is The Drug",and Edith Piaf's classic La Vie En Rose"....with a surprise twist on her costume during that song....let's just say age 61 hasn't made Ms. Jones shy AT ALL! She dedicated one of her new songs,"William's Blood",to the late Michael Jackson,gave "shout-outs" to her Mom in the audience before performing another new song,"Mother's Tears",and kept us entertained from backstage during her costume changes by chatting with crowd like old friends catching up. Her son,Paulo Goude,was in the band letting us know that music runs in the family...they sounded great! Words really can't describe how absolutley amazing the show was,but it was worth every penny and you should check youtube for live clips and google image search for the costume changes! Amazing Grace! ; )

By far on of the most incredible shows i have seen in my life! Grace Jones showed NYC the reason why she has stood the test of time! Her vocals outstanding! Her costumes amazing! Her presence strong! Her audience mesmerized!

I have seen Grace since she first hit the scene in New York in the 1970's. I have seen her at Roseland, Gay Pride, Fire Island Ice Palace, Studio 54, Paradise Garage...all the clubs. She is now 'sixty-something' and hasn't aged a bit! The act is fresh! The production value off the charts - THE COSTUMES - THE POSES!! The screaming in the front row of the fans was sooooo loud for her, I was just heartbroken and couldn't understand why the Diva did not sell out, I am shocked and amazed. So, having seen all those past prime performances of hers - THIS WAS ONE OF, IF NOT "THE" BEST ! W O W ! ! ! PS - Only dissapointing thing was - she didn't sing I Need A Man :( PPS - Randy Jones/Cowboy of theVilage People was in the audience

Grace Jones' voice, her music, her costumes, her new video she played- were all brilliant! She brings her performance to the level of performance art.

It's been a dream of mine to see Grace Jones perform in concert. And what an event! Although she is not the greatest vocalist in the world, she certainly knows how to put on an incredible show. Her costumes were beautiful and while she was in between songs, she talked to the audience about her life and family. And for a 61-year old woman, Grace looks freakin' awesome. It was just a really fun night. I only wish it lasted longer. I hope she performs again soon in Los Angeles.

Her costumes were phenominal! Absolutely stunning and gorgeous! Her voice took me back to a time of looking forward and blooming like the song 'Le vie en rose'. She was perfection embodied and decorated.

Grace Jones was AMAZING!! She still has all the grit and guts and pipes that she always has. I was blown away by all her music. The only part that wan't good is that the Greek Theater pulled the plug on her encore exactly at 11pm.... dang they should have let her finish the song at least.

Grace knocked us all out. It was a fantastic show, and I could have listened for hours. It's a shame the Greek has to shut at 11 p.m., because the show felt like it ended a little prematurely.

Ms. Grace Jones didn't disappoint in her powerhouse performance at the Greek Theatre. From her outrageous costumes to her humorous anecdotes between songs to her song choice, she held us captive for nearly 90 minutes. When I looked at the time, I couldn't believe her performance had reached its end. She was amazing and rightfully deserves her reputation for being an unforgettable icon.

I looked forward to the Grace Jones concert. I lived in NYC from 1982-1994, during part of which time she was living and performing there. I had 2 of her LPs, and was familiar with her music. When I heard she would play at the Greek Theatre, I thought, OH BOY, finally I get to see her live! I must say that the concert lived up to my wildest expectations! Not only did she have the energy of a person half her age, her costumes and performance were fascinating and wonderful to watch. I loved all the costume changes, the male pole dancer, the 2 female backup vocalists who danced in play, and the way the lights were used in the act. Also, you could actually HEAR her vocals, which was in itself a treat.

Grace Jones was epic! She had outrageous costumes, she's in great shape, did new songs that I liked almost as much as her old favorites. It was awe inspiring to be in her presence, her her music and be around her fans. Truly wonderful on all levels!

I missed last year's chance to see her in Oakland - but I am glad I saw her in Berkeley. Hopefully, if next year she releases an album that she will choose a smaller venue - intimate - for a closer experience.

Wow, what great performance! I've followed Grace Jones since the late 1970's and I can say she has never been better than today. She commands the stage with her flamboyant and graceful style while singing songs about life, love and sex. The venue at the Greek in Berkeley was my first visit and it couldn't have been better. There's not a bad seat in the place and the sound is top notch. Thank you Grace for keeping yourself relevant and doing an amazing job at entertaining your very loyal following. My partner and I enjoyed the performance until the end and was disappointed it seemed to end so quickly. We loved every minutes of it!

Boundless love and respect for Grace as she owned that stage with vim and vigor, wit and whim. She shared her love of life, music and artistry with us by transforming herself between every song and continuing to keep us engaged while she sang when exiting the stage and even from backstage as she prepared for her next song. Her constant dialogue was a treat and a show of mutual respect and love for her fans! Quality night for sure. This woman is phenomenal! May she keep on keeping' on and walk in beauty all the days of her life, forever timeless. Loved her male dancer too!

For me and my wife, who introduced me to Grace in the 80's, it was the first time we saw her live, and she is really a professional, nice and incredible woman, who at 68 year old is capable of doing what she did. The concert, the venue and the moon eclipse that occurred all at the same time made this night unforgettable for us.

Grace gave a stellar and riveting performance. Beautiful costumes and rock'n stage presence. I loved the show and am a huge fan of Grace so she get's all my love.

I was aghast at the amazing show Grace Jones put on at the Fox Theater in Oakland. I saw Grace Jones at a gay bar in Ft. Lauderdale in 1980 and she came on stage riding a Harley. BUT THAT WAS 35 yrs ago!!!! I knew she would be hot looking with great costumes but I didn't expect her entire perfect body to be painted AND change her costume on every song....while bantering with the crowd backstage while the band chugged on. SHE WAS TIRELESS! I'm inclined to say that it was THE best or one of the best shows I saw this year....and I see a lot. Her voice was top-notch as well. I missed not hearing some of the old gay bar classics like 'I Need A Man' or even 'La Vie En Rose', but her new stuff is great and she opened with the David Bowie/Iggy Pop song 'Nightclubbing' sending the crowd into a frenzy.

Outstand, amazing, and spectacular. I grew up hearing music from this artist on the radio but this was my first time seeing her perform live. I had such a wonderful time and thought the audience was particularly respectful and enthusiasric. And I think it is because Grace Jones is such an original and caring individual.

I would recommend this to a friend to come out and see Grace Jones if she was too return. I would love to see her again.

Grace was incredible. She still doing the same stuff she was doing 35 years ago and it still works. She is a one of a kind performer. I loved your back in the day and I still love her now. The opening act, Future Islands, was probably really good. I like their sound but I couldn't understand a word the lead vocalist said. Either he has really sloppy diction or they didn't get the sound balance right. I would like to hear this group again under better circumstances.

Grace Jones is a force of creativity that's second to none and the concert was absolutely amazing. The opening act, which I didn't know, was energetic and got us all in the mood. Grace was on for over 2 hours, changing outfits between each and every song and even being funny with her bizarre sense of humor. It was a night to remember!

Future Islands, the opening act, was an SNL skit that went on way too long. But who cares? I was at the Hollywood Bowl to see Grace Jones. Grace Jones -she is totally sui generis. The concert was frightening, funny, sexy, silly, charming, and thought provoking all at once. She organically embodies multiple personalities, genders, and beings. Nonstop, even with multiple costume adjustments, Grace soldiered through her catalog wielding her powerful, ghoulish baritone like a threat. Her audience was totally captivated. Surprisingly, "Love is the Drug" was the showstopper as her sequined hat met a stage light synergizing into a disco ball that radiated throughout the amphitheater. There were so many incredible moments and all were held together by the figure that has stalked the imaginations of millions. Seeing Grace Jones live makes her appear even less real than the thoughts of her.

She was insane, wild, and timeless. Some people need to be great singers, or performers, or dressers. She is a little bit of everything and it makes up for anything else. She ran around half naked with a strap-on attached to herself and twirled a hoola hoop for 10 minutes while singing and talking. What more do you need?

Grace Jones is theatre, drama, female phenom! Every song she changed into a new outfit and entertained (singing) the crowd while she did so. You could tell that there was a lot of thought that went into this performance and the crowd reacted wildly! People were talking about this concert for days. A must see bottom line.

Grace Jones sounded amazing and was very energetic. Great show.... would see her again!

The tickets said show at 8, got there early to get a good spot on the main floor. The DJ played some great music and stopped at 8:30, I guess they were assuming Grace was ready... so the lights were turned up and we stood around waiting until 9:45 (the bars were happy) next time I will get a seat! Once Grace hit the stage she was off the hook, put on a great show and had the audience (mostly gay men) throbbing and singing along.

Grace Jones is a legend at this point and it's hard to imagine that seeing her live could be possible fill the expectation that I (and I would imagine most) have of her being larger than life but she fulfilled all that expectations and went even further! I could not have been more impressed by her concert and to a sold out crowd at the Hollywood Bowl at that! Starting out with Night Clubbing by Iggy Pop was the perfect song to set the tone of the event (the word concert just doesn't seem descriptive enough) as Jones is notorious from her Studio 54 days all these years later (can she really be 67) she has only grown as an artist and her experience and confidence was inspirational and days later I still feel the "high" you get after seeing something so amazing! She performed for 2 hours and changed costumes between nearly every song and get this...she never stopped singing! No...for 2 solid hours she gave nothing short of 200% and sang all her iconic songs plus a new never heard before song from the new album! She looked stunning as well...I would see her again in heartbeat! Highly recommended!

What can I say? I waited 20+ years to see one of my God's on earth. She toured when I was in college and I missed it so I dealt with the Hollywood bowl's issues to see her. I'm glad I went. When you see a performer like Grace you can tell immediately why Britney, Madonna and Gaga are not in her league. They just aren't. The only thing that bothered me is the same thing that bothers me about other acts that have been around a long time and are touring...they basically play their greatest hits. If I was the casual fan that only knew her from the radio then that would be enough. But, as I said, I've been waiting for this for 20 years so I wanted everything I could get. Even with that tiny flaw it was still awesome. I'm not sure what to say about Future Islands though. God love 'em for their energy and enthusiasm. They did manage to win the crowd over. I can's say I'm a fan though. I won't be going back to the Hollywood Bowl though. Way more trouble than it's worth...I don't care how much history it has or how artsy they try to make the venue.

I have now seen her to 2x in her 60s ...these little kids better watch & learn!!!

I'd only heard about how phenomenal Grace Jones performances were. So glad I finally got to see for myself. Such theatrics and presence she brings to audience.

if you have never had the opportunity to see grace jones live, go soon. this was an awesome show. grace was in rare form and she gave everyone what they expected. this show was also a halloween celebration and no where else does it like new york. i hope she does it again this year, as i am so ready to do it all over again :) brava grace, brava.

Although Grace was late to late the stage, she was well worth the wait! She opened the "Grace Jones: Hurricane - Return To Roseland" concert with her song "Nightclubbing." She whipped the crowd into a frenzy with such songs as "Warm Leatherette", "Slave To The Rhythm", "This Is", "My Jamaican Guy", "Hurricane", "Love Is The Drug" and "Pull Up The Bumper." She also performed selections from the "Hurricane" album such as "Love You To Life", "I'm Crying (Mother's Tears)", "This Is", "Williams Blood" and the title track, "Hurricane." Grace delivered moving performances of "La Vie En Rose" and "I've Seen That Face Before (Libertango)." Overall, Grace was awesome, surpassing all of my expectations! If given the chance, I would see her perform live again!

The legendary Grace Jones returned for a one-night only event in New York City! Too bad she isn't playing more shows - I definitely would love the opportunity to see her multiple times, and I know plenty of people who weren't lucky enough to get into this sold-out historic show. ONE COMPLAINT - not enough merchandise! Since the show was General Admission, we rushed in to grab a spot close to the stage. By the time the opening act was finished, most of the t-shirts were all gone, and only one style was left in very limited quantities. I wish the merch supplies were better prepared, but overall it was an amazing show by Grace!

Amazing Grace how sweet she was! I was very impressed with her, she rocked the crowd and gave us all a pre-hurricane performance. I do hope she return soon because I would not miss her for anything.

She made us wait over 40 minutes for the show but she did not disappoint. From the wardrobe changes to the audience interaction to the performance, she rocked it like a hurricane!!!!

The show was AWESOME!!! Big Grace fan and she could do no wrong. The set must have covered all of her hit songs....props included....the quick change of Philip Treacy millinery was the "piece de resistant". This show was well worth my travel from Washington DC and THE HURRICANE!!!

Two thrilling hours of all her known songs and some new ones flamboyantly performed with different headgear for each. Inventively staged on different platforms with smoke and wind to dramatically blow her various cloaks and costumes as well as expressive pole dancing. In addition to her being a visual delight her voice was a joy to hear. The range and beauty of it remains undiminished. It also enriched her raucous and often bawdy patter. She and THE CROWD were euphoric during this very memorable show.

As she continues to defy all the LAWS of gravity. GRACE JONES continues being more than we could ever imagine of her. Panoramic Splender on The Roseland Stage NYC. Visually Stunned and Enslaved by her Rhythms Eternally. That Child was PURE BANGIN!.......HARD! Wants me some more.

It's rare to see an artist who engages the audience with such love and appreciation for us as Grace did. It's was no wonder why so many people flew around the world for this event. This was the most expensive concert I have ever paid out and was wort every penny.

Madonna, Gaga, Rhianna...they all want to be Grace Jones but believe me, there is ONLY ONE Grace Jones. She gave a FANTASTIC performance. My life is complete. Thank you Grace.

if you had never seen or heard of grace jones before seeing this show, you would leave knowing you experienced a LEGEND!! from the opening song the energy in the room was electrifying. she was on fire (and had a costume change for EVERY SONG) like the iconic, performance artist you'd expect. one of the best concert performances I have ever experienced. if you have the chance, DO NOT MISS THIS SHOW!!

Grace Jones continues to prove that she is a force and power to be re conned with. The new generation of auto-tuned, lip syncing pop queens should try to be more like this wild original talent. That said, the in house tech crew at Roseland ballroom, was inferior and should be fired. The person running the follow spot could not manage to keep it focused on Ms Jones. How difficult can it be.

Grace Jones is an iconic legend and lives up to that standard in every way. At 64 years old her live performance is just as artistic and incredible as it ever has been. I last saw her live in concert in the 80's at a nightclub in Atlanta and can honestly say this show over twenty years later was even better! The woman is a walking fashion show and power house commander of the stage. I love her sense of humor and rapport with the audience. Her band is incredible and the vibe in the room all night took me back to New York's nightclub scene in the 90's when it was all about the music and dancing. Grace is performance art at its finest. Keep on keeping on, Grace! Your fans love you and we're with you.

Grace Jones was amazing. The venue was awful. The floor was crowded, obviously, but there was no way to see her or see what was going on. I really wish she had used the upper stage more so we could see what was going on.

I honestly thought I'd never get to see her live. By far one of the best shows I've seen. The woman is a master. With minimal sets and props, she owned the stage. She doesn't need excess. She's the one everyone came to see.

What a fantastic show! Was just beyond expectations. But, the Hammerstein Ballroom is a dump. Please come back to USA Grace!

The show was fantastic! Of Montreal stood up to the plate and rocked the Bowl. Grace Jones...need I say more. She is a true entertainer... with her voice, her presentation, and let us not forget the Costume changes! A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!

Grace put on a great show. Less time changing would have been nice but that is Grace. Hammerstein handled the crowd HORRIBLY. We stood on line for 1 hr and 45 minutes and missed the 1st set because they left Will Call customers whose tickest were held inside standing outside. Would NEVER recommend this place.

Grace, "Ms. Jones" if you're freaky and french will not let any of your expectations down. This was my first time seeing her live and trust me, if I get the chance and she has the divalicious energy to swing back around to the rotten apple, I'll be front and center as I was the first time around. She almost had as many wardrobe changes as she had songs to perform all the while keeping you visually and mentally entertained. As an artist that has been inspired by Miss Jones for decades, I anticipated this evening as being everything it turned out to be and more. As a painter that has created many portraits of Grace that hang in my home I was anxious for her visual presence to peak my imagination and create new stunning works of art. However this show was jaw dropping, the costumes were beyond theatrical imagination, her energy levels were uproariously powerful, the lighting was spectacular and her song choices were all of my favorites. Grace Jones continues to prove herself an icon and an artists muse. This night in NYC, was truly the place to be. The center of the universe. The show was unforgettable!

Amazing! One of the best shows I've seen in a long time!

It was great to see Ms. Grace Jones after her long absence in the music business. She had an amazing and very colorful show. She brought the house down and kept the momentum of the show in full excitement. The audience was mesmerized to see that the outfits got more extravagant than the previous. She gave you outrageous outfit changes while she continuously conversed with the audience with the microphone. And we know she can DANCE! I am so glad my friends and I saw her. It was an spectacle not to be missed!
