Dirty Dozen Brass Band was great. New Orleans sound. Most of the band were in their60-70s Sound was to loud couldn't hear the lyrics. Funky Meters were terrible. A lot of noise. Sound was way to loud ear piercing. After 3 songs. Many people left. We followed about 10 minutes later. We have seen many concerts here but first time with extreme sound issues. A waste of $75

Having lived in New Orleans several times, I can say that there are some types of music that one cannot listen to while sitting in a theatre seat. These two bands play THAT kind of music. Loved the music but found it too difficult to sit still. I didn't want to block the view of those sitting behind but I have to say that the concert got much more enjoyable after we all stood up and danced around to the great beats!

The opening act for this show was The Record Company - great blues-influenced rock trio. Slide guitar, harmonica, great bass line. Terrific live - high energy, ton of sound, polished. Can't wait for them to headline and play a more extended set. Dirty Dozen was OK. Good tuba player with a wa-wa peddle kept the beat going.

The Dirty Dozen Brass Band is a real high energy New Orleans Brass Band that has been around 35 years. Each of the musicians exudes talent and energy! They played a solid 1 hour and forty minute set. Kudo's especially to the drummer, and to 73 year old Roger Lewis on Bari Sax. Unbelievable energy, sound and facility on the horn. None better! Here's the part that I hope someone in the band actually gets to read. The person on the sound board cranked up the levels on the mic inside the base drum as well as for the pickup on the tuba that the true sounds of the individual horns were almost always drowned out by the thick heavy under current of thundering bass. I could see the tuba player playing, but through the thundering vibrations of the sound system, I never actually heard the sound of a tuba. I am a musician, and I do listen closely. I would love to hear the band on the streets of New Orleans without the excessive bass thunder, but I would not want to hear this magnificent band at Potawatomi, at least not with the same sound "engineer."

One of the best intimate shows of the year. Tickle the Truth and The Weight were off the charts. See ya next year.

Great venue for the show. Small enough for a lot of interaction and audience interaction. Great sound from the sax players. Didn't need the dancing ladies, came to see and hear the band.

well...just when you think you have seen it all....a quaint setting (bethel woods), unbelievable facility, a great staff, plenty of offerings to get liquered-up, AND THE DIRTY DOZEN BRASS BAND...we were just blown-away with the quality of musician and the set list....these guys are second to none....if they were in a contest, they wind first and second place....the show was electric....the band was accessible before and after the show....just a group of new orleans cats doing their musical thing...AND BETTER THAN ANYONE ELSE CAN DO THEIR NEW ORLEANS THING IF I MAY ADD...will see again, and again, and again.....pure music, fun, and a great bunch of guys

Awesome!!! Both bands were great. The service at the Rhythm Room was good too. We were deaf for hours after the show.

I didn't know what to expect as I have never seen this band before. I have to say if you are looking to have a great time, this is the show! I have seen many concerts in my life, by different artist and enjoyed many of them. This had to be one of the funest yet! Everyone had a great time and my face hurt from smiling.

These DDBB was outstanding! The sound was great! Their energy was great, and their solos were mind blowing. We had front row center seats so at times we had that feeling that the DDBB was only playing for us! The only thing I would have to say is that there were only 6 members... I know that they have a couple of trumpets and a trombone player so it was a little disappointing knowing we were not gonna see the Whole Dirty Dozen. They made up for it pretty well with great vibrations and great performances. I am from Louisiana so you can take my word!

These cats sure can cook up an unforgettable night of music. A local funk/soul band opened for them and when they finally came out, the place got clicked up another level. Great sound, tone, dynamic quality in all of their songs. They really knew how to perform a great show.
