We left at the break after an hour of uninspired "comedy". We go to a comedy show a month and have never felt compelled to leave. Easy to please and like all varieties of comedy. Wasn't bad, wasn't offensive, wasn't clever, funny or interesting.

Classic Ace man, felt he could have ditched the laser pointer, couldn't see it anyhow and would have loved to have Donnie introduced/spotlighted. Adam was very nice after, didn't feel like he rushed people in the autograph line, seemed glad to interact w fans.

Adam Carolla put on a great show 2/4/11 at the Uptown Theatre in down Napa (aka: fortifide wine country)!!! For anyone that is a fan of the Man Show, Love Line, Crank Yankers, or his Pod Cast, you must see his live show. Also, for a good laugh buy his book, "In Fifty Years We'll All Be Chicks".

Adam delivered and was as funny as ever. Hysterical ... His tech detail could use some work... But it wasn't a problem. Theatre personnel needs to get a system in place .. It was extremely distracting that they were still seating people 10-15 minutes into Adams act. These were mostly people who were busy drinking in the lobby. Too rude to take their seats before Showtime, which was past 8:00 anyway. Then at intermission it was repeated.. As well as guests falling and spilling drinks in the theatre. Some drunk blonde idiot spilled wine on my husband because she couldn't walk

I was bored. I always liked Adam, but I'm going to be honest. Showing dumb animated clips, rehashing Manshow stuff, or a video of Bathroom Etiquette that we have all seen on the internet is wrong. I don't know of other comedians that bring dated stuff to a show. If you're asking full price for tickets, bring fresh material. In between the rehash, it's a montage of key rings, graffiti and a review of Adams social security statement. Not exactly witty, funny or entertaining.

Really bummed out. Carolla rehashed old stories that any long time follower has read in the books and heard on the pod. Paid 60 bucks a ticket to sit up close and no audience interaction, I think he was just collecting a check before headed up to Chicago for the "real" show.

I saw Adam in Indianapolis about five years ago and then again last night. 75% of the material he did last night was the same as what he did years ago. I've listened to Adam for probably 15 years and I know he's capable coming up with new material. He does it all the time on his podcasts, so this just came off as him being lazy in my opinion. I'm sad to say that I wouldn't pay to go see him again and I really like him. I even sponsored him at the VIP level for Road Hard. As an aside, the screen needed to be bigger, but that was Bogarts' fault I would assume.

We were not expecting an actual show, however, looking at the name, I should've known. I thought there was going to be more of a monologue. This show was absolutely not funny. We heard about the two local guy's experiences with the strippers more than Mr. Carolla. We have read his books and watched him and this content was just juvenile penis, sperm, and poop jokes. Really, nothing else. I thought there would be a point in the show he would move on to another topic or set of topics i.e. raising kids, politics, anything, but sadly no. It would've been great for the undergrad college boys, but I don't think they were even laughing that hard. For $50 a ticket I expected to be rolling with laughter. Disappointing.

The Pageant Theatre is a great venue and hosting the Adam Carolla Show is a great fit. The show itself was great from beginning to end. I had always tried to visualize what the live podcast shows looked like and now I know. Almost a mixture of town hall meeting meets stand up comedy meets podcast. I have been listening the to the podcast for about 6 months now. I drove from Austin to see the show in San Antonio. It was great to see it live. Anyone that is fan of the podcast will love the show. Being able to put faces to the show cast was great. It was fun to laugh with other fans. Great vibe all around. The only weird part was the meet and greet. I should probably just skip meet and greets. I feel like a dork and assume they think I am a dork. The Adam Carolla live show in San Antonio was a great show. We enjoyed the humor and the interactions of the cast. The set was seriously lacking in design. I know it's a recording for a pod cast so what it looks like probably doesn't matter to most people.... but to people who work in the visual industry it was painful. They could have had something better than a crappy table with a wrinkled black table cloth and two chairs with high backs. It was visually pretty sad. Charline McCombs Empire Theatre... has WORST SEATS EVER. They're so close together your knees hit the seat in front of you. When the guy in front of me would laugh is chair would push into my knees and it was physically painful. I'm not tall either I'm only 5'4". It also sucks that the ONLY bathroom is in the BASEMENT. Of course there are several bars on every floor. Whoever planned that epically failed. It was my first and last visit. I'll never see another event in that venue.

The show was very good with Adam doing a great deal of reminiscing of how he got into the business and the success he has had and the work he has done with Jimmy Kimmel and some of the funny moments they have had together. One disappointment was the intermission that was taken in the middle of the show. I think he was on a roll, then had to take a break. I believe this was driven more by the Genesse Theater wanting to sell more drinks then Adam needing a break. I think he could have gone on all evening talking about the past and funny items in his life.

I had a great seat for a mediocre show. Adam lacked continuity and fluidity in his presentations. Stories were broken fragments of streaming thoughts which lacked consistency, and did not flow. Sorry I attended. I have been to the Genessee for other shows, and have not been this dissatisfied with any other performer as I was with this "comedian". He sounded as if he needed cue cards to continue his train of thought on nearly all topics he tried to relate to the audience. Would not see him again, in person live,or listen to on his radio show or blog. Oh well.

This event was great but I loved Jay Mohr so much more than Adam Carolla. It was a bummer that Jay only did a 15 minute routine and he was supposed to do 25 minutes. He was hilarious! Was laughing till I was crying when he was out. Adam was good and funny but I did not understand his break-down of the 6 Fast & Furious movies. That was totally random. Then the Q&A at the end kinda went on a bit long...plus they didn't let that many people ask questions. Jay and Adam gave too long of answers and then I think they ran out of time. Overall it was good, but I wanted to see more Jay Mohr!

If you are a fan of either Adam or Jay, then you have to, by default, be a fan of both. Their yin and yang comedic geniuses dovetailed perfectly as they hit the funny volleys back and forth as if a poorly morphed, hypervigilant Pete Sampras were trading slices with a flannel-shirted Bjorn Borg returning from a weekend of cigarettes and napping followed by a quick stop at Fantastic Sam's to trim his golden locks. Carolla effortlessly delivered the signature rapier comedic rants and Mohr complemented perfectly with the hilarious anecdotes and trademark impressions that their fans no doubt came to enjoy. The only minor disappointment was Mohr's abbreviated 15 minute opening set for which he later apologized, explianing to Adam amd fans that he exited early, fearing he might step on Adam's stage time. He more than made up for this hiccup with his requisite obscure yet spot-on incarnations of the likes of Colin Quinn, Tracy Morgan, Harvey Keitel, Chris Walken, and Mommagotitall, Carolla's overprotective, overweight, underinformed mother of color. On second thought, a second minor disappointment--the unnecessary onstage appearance alongside Carolla of Bill Simmons the sports guy, a longtime Kimmel/Carolla gang alumus, to recreate their comedic dissection of the Fast & Furious franchise, also sold as an online download to Carolla fans on his website. No doubt a comfortable and familiar vehicle (no pun intended) for Carolla to flex his Vin Dieselesque arm buttered comedy guns (pun intended), but Simmons, a nice enough dude-bro, is no match for Carolla in the satire department and seemed to slow Carolla's rhythm like blown shifts around traffic cones in the road. Carolla could have effortlessly driven that comedy car solo like Diesel behind the wheel of a tricked out Mazda Rx-7 full of NOS. A definite thumbs up for this home run evening of comedy and Mangria played out between the art deco walls of the Wiltern. Hoping it will be a yearly event as Mohr suggested at the conclusion of the night.

I'm a fan of Mr. Carolla's former radio show and subsequent podcast. His live show was definitely funny and entertaining -- no denying that. However, if you're a long-time listener, the stories told on stage are the same you've heard many times already. I didn't know what to expect, but was disappointed that neither Alison nor Bald Bryan were present. Apparently they only attend the live shows in LA and surrounding areas. Nonetheless, I enjoyed myself. Regarding after the show, the line was super long for an autograph. No problem there, but I purposely held off getting his book, planning on buying it and getting it signed at the event. They didn't have any books for sale! Huh?! No biggie, but surprising.

Mr.Carolla gave a boiler plate performance of stories of his life he has probably told for over 20 years mixed in with anecdotes about his friend Jimmy Kimmel. I am still a fan, but he really didn't seem to put much effort into the evening. However, it was a nice night out with my wife and she got to gamble a bit. A good night out. A solid B- performance. He made big points coming out and meeting the crowd and signing stuff. That brings him to a solid A-.

Adam Carolla does not disappoint. The venue was comfortable and accommodating. We are not gamblers and normally would not go to Thunder Valley. I listen to Adam's podcast all the time, and I assumed that most people took him with a grain of salt. Turns out his fans really buy into everything he says. How does sitting with a bunch of middle aged bigots who love complaining about the government sound to you? Annoying? Well it is. The guy next to me got drunk and started calling a stranger a "f4gg0t" because he asked him to be quiet. Adam Carolla's fans everybody... A large part of why I went was to see Adam and Bill Simmons go over 80's movies. Their podcast have been very funny. The live show not so much. Adam stepped all over Bill's lines and didn't allow for any flow. They re-hashed some of the talking point from the Fast & Furious podcasts and that was it. Very disappointing. Jay Mohr was so out of touch. I guess he has a fan base, but his whole bit was complaining about how bands from the before the nineties like to talk during performances, and he feels that paying $900 to see U2/ Pearl Jam/Rolling Stones should entitle him to to skip this. Well, I paid $60 to see an old dude (Jay Mohr) complain about spending money to watch bands that haven't released an album in over a decade. I guess that the joke is on me, but it's still doesn't make him funny. Jay also did a bit on foreigners telling him what to do. The crowd loved it. What's with idiots worrying about people telling them what to do. They just do what they want anyway, no one makes them do anything, despite being overweight/undereducated/unemployed. Maybe being told what to do would be a good thing. Jay then closed with a bunch of impressions that kind of sucked. So in summary, don't go to these live shows of Adam's. Download Adam's podcast, that's funny. Don't buy into a 100%, and avoid hanging out with Adam's fan base, they suck.

Jay Moore opened and was great....for all of 15 minutes, then after some "dead air" Adam came on and was great........then the Q&A and the show drifted into oblivion. Love the Wiltern, but really $20.00 a drink for well vodka?

First off it started late. Second, we bought a Mangria - $10 for a tiny glass - not worth it. Tasted really bad. Jay Mohr came out first and he was funny! I loved his comedy very fluid and downright funny, but he was only out there for a little while - NOT LONG ENOUGH. Then Adam Carolla came out. Started out slowly - snooze fest. Got a little better as he went along. Enjoyed the skit "Things I really hate." Then there was an intermission. 2 bathrooms available for over 100 women!!! Long line. After the intermission they both came out to answer questions. That back and forth bantery was fine, but again, not long enough. Adam Carolla wanted to cut Jay Mohr off and he kept looking at his watch. All in all not a good value. Tickets were very expensive and show was mediocre.

I love both these comedians and was really looking forward to this show. Maybe my expectations were too high but ultimately I was disappointed. Dont get me wrong, they were funny.... just not $62.50 x 2 worth of funny.... Jay was particularly unimpressive that night.

Jay Mohr came out and was funny, but he only did 15 minutes, then Adam Carolla came out and was not interesting or funny, and seemed completely unorganized. He brought Bill Simmons out to do a breakdown of the Fast & Furious movies, and it was Horrible. I like these guys, but Adam needs to stick with Radio, and Bill with Sports commentating. After a lengthy intermission, Adam & Jay came out, and once again Jay stole the show. But this time even he was too obnoxious. Overall Jay will get me to buy a tix to one of his future gigs, and Adam, I will just have to appreciate when he joins Kevin & Bean in the AM's

I've seen Carolla before and he was good at standup with some great moments. this show started on a high note with Jay Mohr killing his set. Carolla's Fast and the Furious bit was a huge waste of time. The Q&A portion picked up steam but Carolla has a horrible habit of looking at his watch all the time. We paid $80 each all in - you can keep the show going when it is going well. I would not see a Carolla stand up again but will look for Jay Mohr.

Comedy shows are typically hit or miss but this one was spot on and even felt too short! Adam clearly appreciates his fans and Mangria was consumed by all!

This was my second Adam Carolla show and again he did not disappoint. It was not the same show that I saw several months ago, though of course a few of the stories were the same. I love that he stays after each show for pictures and autographs. :) I liked the Wilbur Theater. I had read reviews of the Wilbur which had me a bit hesitant, but I thought it was great. I had also read that drinks were "sky high" but I didn't find them to be ridiculously priced. I had some of Adam's "Mangria" which I also liked, but it is definitely strong. It hit me much harder than I expected.

Not what I was expecting!! Heard better on his radio show. At one point, it actually got boring and painful to to stay to the end. You can say or respond what you like but it was just not a funny, walk away feel good show. The material was stiff and the laughs were spread thin and lengthy in between the lines.

Adam Carolla was great, the venue was small enough that I could see him & hear almost everything he said. The only downfall was the inconsiderate jerk behind us laughing too loudly & yelling to Adam at inappropriate times making it difficult to hear at times. I get we were seeing a comedian but it definitely made it less than ideal. He was ruining it for everyone. I wish an usher had come by to tell him to dial it down.

Great atmosphere...greater comedian. Carolla makes the decent sized Wilbur Theatre feel even more intimate.

Very entertaining, Loved the slide show behind him. Loved the fact he took pictures with his fans afterwards. It peaks to e kind of person he is, to take that time. It meant a lot to my son.

Cobb's is the right size venue for comedy, no too big but large enough to be comfortable. The food and Service were good. Adam did not disappoint. Once he go rolling the time just flew. It was a great evening with Adam and the people that love him.

Hey, If you know Adam, then there's not much to tell that you don't know. I don't know how this guy tours as much as he does and brings fresh material to the table on a conversational basis. He's sharp, funny, and entertaining.
