What a fantastic evening! I was surprised when they wrapped it and the evening ended it went by so fast. The surprise guests were great the the subject matter was timely, Gravity! Eugene Mirman and Mike Massimino were real treats. The banter on stage kept the audience engaged in a way that most educators only dream being able to do. I've been listening to Dr. Tysons podcasts for about a year now and he never disappoints seeing him live was the icing on the cake! I'm only sorry I didn't bring my 9 year old daughter who was extremely disappointed that she wasn't able to attend.

What a fun night! Tyson and Mirman make a great team - we learn, we laugh! Love the guests; want to go again. The crowd was so much more eclectic than I imagined - and the house was full! Despite tiny seats, coats in our laps, increasing temps as the night wore on, I stayed fully engaged throughout the evening as did my son and husband. Still thinking about it ... Earth is a planet - we are living amongst the chaos of space, and somehow it all works!

I didn't know what to expect at this event. I have seen Neil live before doing a presentation/lecture and found him to be very funny and engaging. However, the addition of Eugene Mirman and "special guests" threw me for a loop. The event was set up more as a dialogue between the guests and was extremely funny and informative. Every person had something different to contribute. Also the special guests were incredible: Michael Ian Black, Professor Brian Greene of Columbia and Astronaut Mike Massimino. Loved the banter going back and forth between all of them. I would definitely attend an event like this in the future.

Neil Degrasse Tyson was fantastic! He makes astro physics fun and interesting (if you can believe that!) Truly he does. But Eugene Mirman's "banter" was boring, egocentric and at times offensive. What a nothing!

I was very excited to attend The Town Hall for what I believed to be a relevant, intellectual talk on current events in the space community. Lead by renowned astrophysicist Neil deGrasse I expected nothing less than the best in entertainment a space talk could offer. Unfortunately they spent more time on comedy relief fueled by the two stand up comedians on stage then they did on anything relevant to "Gravity", the topic of the evening. There were a few key moments when something interesting was being said and they were swiftly swept under the rug by lame jokes or references to Sandra Bullock or George Clooney. Lame. Lame. Lame. Neil you completely underestimate your audiences intelligence. You should stick to being smart because nobody cares if your funny.

Truly an awesome event. If Neil DeGrasse Tyson had been my science teacher I might have become a scientist. This was incredibly entertaining, fascinating, and educational. One of a kind and amazing!

Neil deGrasse Tyson is a force of nature, and Eugene Mirman and Michael Ian Black provided a witty and silly counterpart to the fascinating science he and his space guests explained about gravity.

This event was delightful from beginning to end! Neil deGrasse Tyson is such a gem: smart, funny and passionate. How can you go wrong? He pulls together a fabulous panel of experts then rounds out the group with smart comedians, ensuring a fact filled and entertaining evening. We would go again in a heartbeat.

Its not often you get to sit feet from a man who left this planet but a man that actually set foot on another celestial body, that's magic! Neil and Eugene were great hosts as usual (I've been listening to the Star Talk podcast for a while now.) Location was great too. Seats were wide enough you didn't feel crammed and the acoustics were outstanding making it easy to hear questions from the audience and the people on stage.

It was a our 1st encounter with NDT--heard an invterview with him on Q104.3 and thought he sounded interesting. The experience wasn't quite what I expected, and turned out to be even better than anticipated. The format is similar to a talk-show, with the 2 comedians (Mirman and John Oliver), the planetary geologist in addition to NDT, and the star of the night--Buzz Aldrin! Wow! Impressive, enthralling, FUNNY and intelligent. Would definitely do this again.

Who would have expected Buzz Aldrin to drag down a discussion with the amazing Neil DeGrasse Tyson? Although Mr. Tyson tried desperately to encourage Mr. Aldrin, there was simply no 'there' there. The man who landed on the moon had very little energy, wonder or information to impart to a very thirsty and curious crowd. A wasted opportunity for those of us who hungered for more. The comedians added a welcome respite from the scientific pregnant pauses but a little more meat and a little leas merriment might be the way to go.

I was expecting more mind-bending information and less comedy, but the overall show was fantastic! Very happy I went. Sat 5th row center and was very fortunate to be in the presence of Buzz Aldrin who was quite amazing to say the least. Neil Degrasse Tyson literally has sex with the air in every way possible as he moves and talks.

I didn't expect to laugh as much and as hard as I did, and came out of it feeling like I learned something and inspired.

This show was excellent. I'm a big Neil deGrasse Tyson fan to begin with, but then his undisclosed "friends" for this show included BUZZ ALDRIN! What an amazing surprise. I would have been fine to just listen to N. Tyson speak for two hours, but Buzz Aldrin was a great surprise, and the format is a perfect blend of science meets popular culture meets comedy.

Neil deGrasse Tyson is truly a remarkable man, and to be in the same room as both him and Buzz Aldrin was truly a once in a life time opportunity. Neil also was kind enough to answer my friend's question and after the show she had told me that her life was complete, she'd been trying for months to ask Neil her question via twitter, and that really made me happy. Plus, watching Neil deGrasse Tyson moon walk in real life is probably the greatest thing ever.
