It was amazing. The choreography, orchestra, lights, and play just held us in thrall for three hours. It was worth every penny.

Several new players, but they were excellent (although I missed Gregory as Burr). Got autographs afterward from these wonderful, dedicated actors! Jose Ramos is a favorite and a joy to watch!

So very very good. Appealing to many different audiences. My 15 yr old daughter loved it.

A totally unbelievable amount of talent fills the stage every minute. This story can be told over and over again, but no one tells it like this. What imagination to create such a genius of a play that sparks enthusiasm by the entire audience. A must see for sure!!

The show and this particular cast is fantastic!! We were lucky enough to see it in NYC and this production does not disappoint! The venue is lovely and convenient. Enough good things cannot be said about Hamilton, so don't miss your shot!!

I have to admit we were attending this musical because my 12 year old daughter is over the moon infatuated with it (yes, she has memorized every word to every song)! My boyfriend and I weren't sure what to expect, and we were moved beyond words with the incredible acting/singing as well as the story that was told. I especially want to thank each of the actors who took the time to sign my daughter's ticket and paused for a photo with her before the show began. I can't even begin to put into words what that 10 - 15 seconds of your time meant to her. I appreciate having such positive role models for her to look up to!

When there is a lot of hype, you wonder - can something live up to it? This show - the music, lyrics, choreography, set, (revolving stage) lighting, - all of it - exceeded my expectations. I learned so much, as history became "real". I expanded my horizons - never been a fan of rap or hip hop. There was not a "bad" song in the entire show. You couldn't take your eyes off the stage - the entire performance was mesmerizing! So many layers and complexities - a true work of genius. I don't know how anyone could not enjoy it. So glad to have been lucky enough to get tickets and see this amazing performance!

My daughter and I knew the Hamilton soundtrack inside out and were so excited to finally see it in person. Seeing the choreography, sets, costumes and experiencing the acting & facial expressions (especially of King George!) in person was thrilling and well worth the trip from Michigan and the ticket price! Plus it was a birthday surprise - my daughter was shocked and oh, so happy!

There was absolutely nothing not to like about this show. Everything from my seats to the cast to the set was 150%! That Aaron Burr was my absolute favorite, Jefferson was good and just everyone! I would have said and watched it again if I had the money. It was my daughter's first time in Chicago, I bought those tickets as a gift not for her birthday and not for Christmas but just because she is an amazing help to me, she gets excellent grades and all while doing multiple extracurricular activities. She said it was the best thing ever and that made it all worth it!

Absolutely amazing! We ve been looking forward to seeing this show for months, and we were not disappointed. The actors were fantastic and lived up to the expectation set for them. The venue is smaller than we expected, so we were glad we had mid-balcony seats\u2014much farther back, and we probably would have missed any action that took place at the front of the stage. The show was fantastic though, and we are already scheming how and where to see it again. *****

This was my second time enjoying this performance (same cast, same venue). I didn t think I could love it more after the first time I came but my enjoyment level was exponentially higher the second time around. The more you see it the more you ll love it!

We purchased tickets from ticket master and found they were less than stubhub. I initially was going with dress circle limited view but researched and went with mezzanine R limited view. Tickets were excellent. We could see over 95% percent. Cast was amazing and so moving. Don t miss it.

How does a kid from a town named for a king whose head is now in a basket, get tickets to a show that can only be described as fantastic? It turns out he had a secret weapon, a website you know and love that s unafraid to step in. They re constantly confusing, counfounding by selling tickets faster, everyone give it up for America s Ticketmaster!

Having been a fan of the cast recording I knew I d like the performance, but it exceeded my expectations!! A must for any theatre lover or anyone looking to try a show for the first time.

Took my kids (10&12) to see Hamilton. They have been obsessed with the soundtrack and such for months. I had not given it much interest. Tickets were expensive but I thought since they were both so interested in the same thing that is outside of what they are normally in to (ie sports) I should go for it. We sat in DRCR-L Row E. They were good seats. We could not see the very left side of stage or the top walkways of the set. That being said, most of the musical took place center stage and on the right side of the stage so the other limited viewing did not make much difference. The kids and myself absolutely LOVED it and we would go see it again in a heartbeat. If you get the chance, GO!!

What a show! Well performed. Really enjoyed the understudy for Hamilton. He did a great job.

My kids have loved Hamilton since it's debut and have been wanting to see it for so long! We finally made it! Grateful we got to skip the long, cold line outside by staying at the Hampton Inn connected to the CIBC theater! The performance was amazing! My girls were over the moon! We were in Mezz-R

Great show! We traveled from NC over spring break to see the Wed afternoon performance. Our mezzanine seat had a limited view of the left hand side of the stage, but it did not detract from the experience at all. Afterwards several of the cast came outside to sign autographs and take pictures. My daughter was super happy!

Hamilton was an unforgettable show. I'm not a history buff but learned a lot and thoroughly enjoyed the entire performance. The cast was outstanding! I am thinking of going to see it again. The set was amazing.

My daughter and I gave tickets to ourselves for our collective Christmas and Birthday gifts. (We even saw the performance on my birthday!) She has been mesmerized by Hamilton's music for years, so I knew she would enjoy it. I was not prepared for how much I would love it. An amazing and inspiring experience!

I finally got to see Hamilton at CIBC Theatre in Chicago after wanting to see it for 2 1/2 years and I was not disappointed. L-M Miranda has created a perfect musical that will stand the test of time and become a classic. I chuckled, I cried, and I left in awe of the people who sacrificed to create a place where anyone can become someone with work, education and soul!

What's not to love? The performance amazed at every level. This was a Christmas present for my son and I can say honestly he'd tell you it was his best present ever. The CIBC Theater was just the right size. I doubt there was a bad seat in the house. Definitely a winner.

This play was exceptional in every aspect... staging, costumes,music, and a talented cast...a unique way to tell a story about a historical character.... loved it, loved it.

I have seen dozens of Broadway musicals both in Chicago and New York. Hamilton ranks with the best. It is absolutely amazing. There was not a moment when my eyes were not riveted to the stage. The cast was uniformly excellent and the story, based on Ron Chernow's excellent book, was pretty accurate. The theater is beautiful but be forewarned, the restroom capacity is really not enough for an 1800 seat theater. If you need the restroom at intermission (the show runs 2 1/2 hours), leave your seat as soon as the curtain drops. Otherwise, you'll be standing in line for a long time.

Amazing performance. Singing & choreography was exceptional. Dress Circle left seats aisle 11 seats 1&3 were terrific!

It completely lives up to the hype! The cast was amazing! Good ticket availability - was in town for an event and was able to purchase tix 3 days in advance. Don t miss your shot! Go and see this show if and when you can!

As someone who has been listening to the OBC album for 2 years, this show did not disappoint. It was incredible getting to experience this show visually. The choreography was outstanding & the cast was wonderful. Only minor disappointment was Angelica Schuyler was played by an understudy, (Candace Quarrels), and she left a little to be desired in her portrayal of the character. CIBC is an intimate sized theater, but perfect for this show. We sat in RC Mezzanine, row L, on the aisle. Most perfect seats. Overall, I give this show & venue a 10 out of 10. Would 100% come back to CIBC & I will 1000% be watching Hamilton again someday.

You know how you keep hearing how good something is over and over? You have these unreachable expectations and you think NOTHING can be THAT good? Well, I was wrong. It was THAT good! The beautiful things were the music, how the story was told, the cast (and its diversity), and the perfection/genius of it all. I looked around at the packed audience and people were literally on the edge of their seats, completely enthralled during the entire show. It was all mesmerizing, and even though I knew how the story ended, I still found myself in tears. What an incredible, phenomenal experience I will never forget and will cherish the rest of my life. The only downside was the building, which is very old and needs updating. The seats are tight with very little legroom.

Seeing Hamilton for the third time continues to be a wonderful experience. You go in knowing the music, knowing the show and yet there is always something new that you walk away with that you didn't see the first (and second) time you saw it. The cast that we saw were all great! They all had wonderful voices and got into their characters perfectly. There isn't just one performer that I can choose because they were all that good. I highly recommend seeing Hamilton and you, too, will be seeing in more than once; it's that spectacular!

This show was much more than I had expected. I ve listened to the Original Broadway cast and the Chicago Cast BLEW THEM AWAY! Amazing lighting and sound as well as stage design. Would see it again!

Hamilton is an achievement. I had listened to it, and seen pieces on Youtube. It outdoes everything that I might have expected. My only disappointment? The cast did not come out individually for applause at the end. They deserved a longer standing ovation. Being in Chicago, I remembered the words of Ernie Banks, and hoped they would play two. I could have happily and easily sat through another performance. Unforgettable. The CIBC Theater is not great. Lots of stairs, tight seats. Aging family members were considering going to Chicago to see the show there. No way with this theater. Also, what seemed like a majority of the seats had an obstructed view, as the theater is wide and flat, so the edges of the stage block views on each side. Areas outside the house are crowded and tight, and ushers do not seat you, they hand out the show programs and make sure you are in the correct row. Really a mediocre venue masquerading as a great venue, holding a gem of a show inside.

Loved the venue and the music is still playing in my head! Perfect play going experience.

Vocals are fabulous as is the choreography. Combine that with the delivery of a historical jewel and you have the dynamo called, Hamilton. Don t miss it.

I've listened to the soundtrack plenty of times before seeing the performance and I had some apprehension about how seeing it live and with a different cast would affect me. But rest assured it was absolutely amazing! The Chicago cast is spectacular! The lighting, choreography, and entire stage production is electrifying when combined with the knockout music. The CIBC Theater is lovely and our seating in the balcony had a great view of the entire stage. Sincerely this was the best show I have ever seen!

I really had no idea how amazing this show would be. Music, acting, dancing was all beautiful. I can t stop talking about our experience at this beautiful theater to anyone who will listen! We loved our seats in Mezzanine row A, too. It was a perfect evening!

I love the story, action, costumes, and actors. It was difficult to hear the rap songs up in the balcony before intermission. Ticket prices are steep. All of that being said it was great.

All of the hype regarding Hamilton was absolutely true. Bravo to the cast, writers, set designers and wardrobe!!! Definitely a must see!

Hamilton was amazing! The cast were great. We had great seats. The best part was watching my 11 year old daughter sit mesmerized and singing along with the songs.

The venue was smaller than I had expected to house such a large production. I was disappointed that our seats had been marked unobstructed view online and when we got to the seats there was a speaker box hanging from the ceiling that obstructed our view of the right upper portion of the stage a bit. The show was outstanding. Jin Ha was breathtakingly talented as A. Burr and Jamila Sabares Klemm as Eliza moved me to tears with almost every word. We were very much looking forward to seeing Montego Glover since she has been raved about by friends who have seen the show at the CIBC, and were a little disappointed to have her stand in at our performance. She was very talented, but unremarkable as Angelica, who as a character in my opinion should take your breath away with power and emotion.

My 13-year old daughter has been begging to go, so we went. I wasn't sure if this new style of musical was something I would enjoy, but OMG it was fabulous! High energy, superb talent, great set and choreography - we has a wonderful time! Highly recommend seeing this if you have the opportunity!

The whole performance was amazing and the dancing was shockingly good. So sharp. I just wanted to watch it all again. Would recommend.

Great show. I found the first half a little heavy but the second half blew me away. It is a show that never stops moving from beginning to end, such energy! Know the story and listen to the soundtrack before you go and you will enjoy it even more. My granddaughter who knew every word of every song totally enjoyed it.

I flew from Houston to see this show because tickets were more in my city. I must say it was all worth it. The show was great, my orchestra seats were great, the theater was beautiful, and parking was easy.

The story is incredible, the music and choreography are absolutely amazing and the talent of the entire cast left us speechless, in awe, and beyond thrilled at the same time! Afterward, at stage door, some of the cast signed autographs which made for an even more unforgettable experience!!

It was the very best play any of us had ever seen! The entire cast was supremely talented, BUT we happened to be lucky enough to see Carl Clemons-Hopkins in the role of George Washington, and he completely stole the show. His stage presence coupled with his voice simply electrified us. We also felt Lin Manuel Miranda s presence throughout and were in awe of his genius. This is theater perfection.

It was incredible! I can't say it enough! The cast, the singing, the dancing, the set, EVERYTHING IS AMAZING. Go see it immediately!

We gave our daughter tickets for her 16th Birthday. After 5months of waiting, and listening to the Hamilton soundtrack, I was glad to take her to finally see the show. I m usually not a musical type of person, but I was extremely surprised at how much I enjoyed the performance! The theater was beautiful and clean. We had an perfect view of the stage from our seats in the upper mezzanine. The sound quality & lighting was terrific! The show was captivating from beginning to end. I d highly recommend seeing Hamilton to anyone. I laughed & cried. The cast had great stage presence and their singing voices were even better than onthe original soundtrack. GO SEE HAMILTON! The experience is worth every penny.

Not enough words available to say all the good things I would like to say. If you haven t seen Hamilton, get to a show anyway you can. We purchased limited view seats since we were in Chicago for only a couple of nights and that s what was available at a reasonable price to take my Wife and Daughter. The seats were awesome and the show was unreal. Would love to see it again when I m in New York. Don t miss this one. Attached is a view from the limited view seats. MezzR row 4 seat 14-18. Listen, every now and then, there's an experience that changes you, that brings you to a new or heightened sense of awareness, that entertains beyond comprehension. This is that! I'm a history buff already. In order to understand where you're headed, you must understand from whence you came. The entire production, cast, venue, stage, sound, music, lighting, everything was first-rate. Without exaggeration, I sat at the edge of my seat the entire time; I laughed, I cried, I rocked out to the rap of history. Go, just go. Perfect in every possible way. I'll never be the same.

If you have enjoyed the cast album, or only heard how popular the show is and decided to see it here rather than wait until the tour visits your city, you are in for a TREAT! This cast is unforgettable! I have enjoyed the music for more than 31 months and lost more than sixty pounds exercising inside my neighborhood by simply walking twice a day and eating better. I never enjoyed hip hop before HamiltonMusical, but this cast and orchestra work phenomenally well together in bringing the story alive! Eliza would be proud to see her Hamilton given his due in this way. Do. Not. Miss. This. Show. Here. WITH THIS CAST AND ORCHESTRA! Is this enough to make you go? I hope so!

This show is mind blowing, funny, sad, exciting, powerful. So much more the cast wow every single one the stage just amazing. Wait the orchestra speechless is what this play has left me. I want to say one thing then something else pops in my mind. You have to go see it really draw your own opinion about it. Go expecting to be carried away great have to do it again. Wait did I say I went on a date by myself to see Hamilton I dated myself. This is a play you can go by yourself enjoy.

I'm not a theater snob... quite honestly, I was hesitant to pay the resell tickets for any show. However, hubby bought them for our anniversary last June. I enjoyed it immensely. So when ampnother set of shows opened in Sept-Oct, I bought direct from Ticketmaster. I wanted my daughters to see it. All three of us saw it in Jan. 19. Again, it was phenomenal! My oldest daughter was skeptical of the balcony view. However, once the show started, she forgot all about it. I understood more the second time. My only complaint is (as usual) the people around us. Most were prolite ; however, there's always one or two that cheapen the experience.

The truth is, the soundtrack gets better each listen. Hamilton combines entertainment and Education at its best. It's quite intoxicating to be educated via song, music and dance from centuries ago; while in many ways feeling we're presently where we were. Now that I've experienced it for the 3rd time (Chicago and London), I can't get enough of the soundtrack, it's like expriencing it for the 1st time with added depth. Yes, it's worth all the fuss. Fav 2 tracks in the moment: -Helpless -\u200eSatisfied What are yours?

I was a bit worried that Hamilton had been hyped so much in my mind that it wouldn t live up to my expectations. Boy, was I wrong. It far exceeded my expectations and just blew me away. I cannot express to you how good this show is. It s 2 1/2 hours long, but you don t realize that until it s over. The cast was exceptional!! Highly recommend it!!!! It was worth the hundreds of dollars I paid for 3 tickets. My sons - ages 15 and 16 were impressed and said they wanted to see it again!!!! It s truly a masterpiece!!!!

The show was PHENOMENAL! I would recommend it to anyone. Some adult themes so if I had to give it a rating I would say PG-13. The venue on the other hand left a little to be desired. There was very little signage to direct patrons upon entering the theater, they could have used more ushers and the theater was cold!

I was worried that our balcony seats would be too far from the stage and we would miss the intimacy of the show, but I was wrong. Great view of the stage and the sound was fantastic. Seeing Hamilton has been part of my bucket list and I was not disappointed. The cast was amazing. Will be back to see it again soon.

Hamilton made history interesting again and it captures the younger audience and intrigues desire to learn more. Amazing for young or old!

After a year of listening to the original Broadway cast recording, I was worried the live performance in Chicago would in some way be a disappointment. I was wrong. My daughter turned to me during the first song and rubbed her arm, indicating she had chills, and so did I. The Sunday cast was wonderful. I would compare Hamilton to Les Mis in terms of its epic story and enduring music. A must see whenever you get to it.

Hamilton truly lives up to its hype! The audience went wild when LMM joined us!

This review is biased, because I've seen Hamilton three times in three cities. I LOVE THIS SHOW. While the show was still good, the experience was considerably less thrilling at CIBC. Here are my gripes: Sound: My biggest gripe about the show is that the sound was almost like watching an average high school musical. It was too quiet. At the beginning, I couldn't hear a few lines from the actors. I sat in the last row of orchestra. Venue: the venue seemed cramped. Sooo many seats are obstructed view. I had one, but wouldn't recommend it for first timers because you can't see the entire set or some action on the balcony of it. I had easy access to the bathroom, but there was only one of them and seemingly one exit (rear doors) to get there. The staff did a great job of managing the line but I thought it odd that they actually had to manage it. Cast: This cast was noticeably less passionate and energetic than others. The exception was Lafayette/Jefferson, who crossed the line into too campy and I was especially annoyed by the way too exaggerated French accent. Overall, If I hadn't already seen the show twice in stellar venues with stellar casts, I probably would've loved it. Others around me seemed to enjoy it very much. Wherever you have a chance to see it, See Hamilton!

We expected a great performance with Hamilton and it was better than expected. The musical was superb and the entire cast was outstanding. We had been listening to the CD from the original Broadway cast and could not tell the difference with this cast. King George s antics were hilarious. We would not hesitate to see it again.

As a special treat my wife and I went to Chicago to see the Broadway play "Hamilton". It was everything we had heard and everything I hoped it would be! Great acting, wonderful singing, beautiful music and on top of all that a decent history lesson. Miguel Cervantes as Alexander Hamilton was outstanding in a very difficult role, a beautiful voice, Gregory Treco brought life , passion and energy as Aaron Burr. The whole cast was magnificent and we thoroughly enjoyed their efforts. NOW, the bad. The theater is horrible, the seats are not stepped enough, not offset so you spend the entire evening looking at the back of the person's head seated in front of you. I paid almost $400.00 per seat for Mezzanine seats, second row (DRCRRCB) seat 232 & 234. While the seats were comfortable I could not see the middle of the stage without contorting myself to try and see around the gentleman in front of me. My wife also had the same experience.

Amazing show! High energy and talented cast. Beautiful theater and wonderful set. Theater has helpful staff and good access to the Blue line. All in all, a stellar night and wonderful experience.

Hamilton!!! I loved the show and cast. I must admit that I was a huge fan before I saw the show. There wasn t much that cast could do to disappoint. My opinion was pretty biased toward great from the start. Fortunately, the cast surpassed my expectations. I fell in love with choreography and how the actors portrayed character emotions through song. In the end I even love A. Burr s character and he was suppose to be the villain. The building is filled with beautiful architectural elements. I have always loved Chicago s older theaters. The seats are small, but comfortable. The house crew was very friendly and efficient in ushering people where they needed to be. They even made the Intermission Women s Toilet Run a fast and hassle free process.

I loved everything about Hamilton! The music, the dancing, the diverse cast, EVERYTHING was fantastic! The CIBC Theatre is beautiful and impeccably situated for maximum enjoyment in every seat!
