We had a great time at the festival, great line up. Our favorite was Aziz and would go see him again. Amy Schumer was great and kept us laughing. Would Recomend this Festival for a great time, but no kids!! Language is typical of comedy shows.

The tickets said that the show started at 5:00pm, but it was "Doors Open" at 5:00pm. So then no show actaully started until 7:00pm, and then the headliners didn't come out till about 9:30. But over all, a funny show, and Amy Schumer and Aziz Ansari are worth a long wait, but I wish I would have known it was going to be ALL Evening.

The performers were pretty good for the most part, but it felt kind of like the practice run for the rest of the tour. The Flight of the Conchords started funny and then kind of started to drag on towards the end. It was great to see Dave Chappelle even though he was wasted and rusty. The highlights were Kristen Schaal and Demetri Martin. The venue was too strict, they wouldn't let us bring in a towel. The parking and vendors were way too expensive, even compared to other venues and music festivals ($10 beer/$20 parking). The show also kept getting interrupted by airplanes flying over. I will never go back to Austin360 Amphitheater.

I highly recommend the Oddball fest - awesome comedy, so much fun! We had lawn seats, you definitely need the big screens, you can't see the stage at all. Not sure why the 2 biggest screens weren't used for a good portion of the show, I am guessing technical failure? But they were on for the main headliners so that's good. Each act on the bill had a good act. Dave Chappelle was totally on, riffed with the audience, even talked to a heckler.

The event was great and the venue awesome!! I only had two issues: #1 WAY TOO HOT for a comedy show, this event needs to be in like October - May, not AUGUST!!! #2 WOW were the drinks and food expensive!!!!

We arrived late and missed the first few sets, but caught the last half of Hannibal Buress. His energy was great and what we saw of his set was hilarious. Demetri Martin was also super funny with his one liner observations that just come from nowhere, and yet make perfect sense. The Flight of the Conchords were amazing. They are so funny and insanely talented. They played a couple of past favorites and a new song that was so perfectly awkward. The only way their set could've been better was if they played Demon Woman, a favorite of mine. And then of course Dave Chappelle did not disappoint. His set was a little rambling, but I didn't mind... because it was just so awesome to have the guy back in front of a huge audience performing new material. The show could have been better, though, if all four mega screens were used during all sets. For some reason they only used the two closest to the performer during Demetri Martin and Flight of the Conchords. I had a tall dude sitting in front of me, so I wasn't able to see these two performances very well. Also, the camera guys were kinda terrible at their job. There were just some annoying technical difficulties all around.

If wasn't for the acts that weren't headlining, this would have been a complete waste of time. I wasn't impress with Flight of the Concords. I couldn't understand what they were saying. maybe I should have listened to their stuff prior to. Chappelle was really disappointing. I love Chappelle, but I'm not giving him a pass for not having any material. He's been doing clubs all year, you would think he had more material. Maybe by the end of this tour he'll have something, but he treated Austin like a little nightclub gig. I want see him live again until I know he's really back. This isn't the Chappelle from the "killing them softly" or "for what its worth" taper your expectations.

Great comedy festival! The opening acts were good, Flight of the Conchords were the best I have ever seen them and Dave Chappelle was hilarious. I couldn't expect much more. When Dave came out he made it clear that he didn't have any material. While that was not the case (he had great material) he did not have enough material to fill an hour. So a fantastic 20 minute set was stretched to a good 45 minute set. I'm not complaining, but I think the later shows on the tour will be better.

Dave Chappell is a funny guy. He admitted though that we only got 11mins of material in 45 minutes. Those 11 minutes were gold! I wish there had been more. Unfortunately I think the hordes of drunks yelling at him from the first few rows through out his set distracted him from giving us a better performance. Why is heckling a thing?! I'm also going to guess the heat got to him. Standing under a ridiculous amount of spot lights without a cross breeze was probably brutal. Whatever the reason it felt like Dave wasn't on his game for the Austin show. Best of luck on the tour Dave, you'll get 'em next time.

This was a well-put-together event! All of the staff was very courteous. It's such a great venue as well. I had Gen. Admission tickets on the lawn and still felt really close to the action. The show itself was awesome, they weren't any lulls or bad acts.

Brought a good mixture of comedy talent together for the first real comedy festival I have attended. I attended the event becasue i was curious to see what Dave Chappelle would say. I knew what to expect from everyone else, but Dave is always a wildcard. Burress, Flight of the Conchords, & Dave were my favorite acts of the festival. My only concern is for the venue. They must find a more efficient and effective way to funnel cars out their entrance/exit.

Great Show I thought Hannibal Burress and Flight of the Concords were the Best. Dave is one of my All time Favorites but you need more material. First 8-10min was Classic Dave punchlines then he goes back to listening to the crowd and going offtrack. (Way better than the Paramount Show last yr though). As far as Security goes i thought that they were a bit hardcore. This was my 4th show at this venue this summer and this was the first time i encountered this. Not blaming them at all because they are just taking orders from Oddball Fest. My issue is you have 4 TV's where you can display the STRICT NO CELL PHONE POLICY. Why not use your resources to inform the crowd the Cell phone policy and the consequences. (EX: Alama Drafthouse). I am actually a fan of this policy to avoid distractions, but security stomping up and down the aisles w/ flashlights giving the eye was a bit much. But still great show.

Everyone was great except the headliner. Dave Chappelle even admitted he had no material. He literally came out and talked about nothing, with no rehearsed jokes. He just let the crowd say things and he responded and then walked off the stage after 45 minutes. Horrible and unprofessional. People paid for that. Pathetic.

All the comedians were great. Had a great time, laughed my ass off. Definitely got my money's worth. Great material that I hadn't heard/seen before (except Flight of the Choncords, but that was expected b/c they play songs.) Only small critique was that the ushers were more concerned with making sure people weren't using their cellphones, than asking people to stop talking and annoying those around them.

All and all it was a good event. I wish Flight of the Conchordes were the closers. It seem to me that Chapelle was very lazy in his comedy. He even said it himself, he only did 11 minutes of material in 45 minutes.

Fotc was incredible!! Hannibal buress was pretty darn funny, too. Demetri was...not bad. And then there was Dave. And the host guy. Embarrassingly wasted, to the point of being not funny anymore. Such a huge letdown. Thank god for fotc or I would've rated this a 2/5.

Flight of the Conchords, Hannibal Burress, and the other opening acts saved this review from 2 stars. If you paid $40 or less, good for you. I paid double that and felt robbed. He only had 11 minutes of material, which he thought was funny, and just bs'd with the crowd the rest of the time. What a disappointment. If Chapelle had performed well, it would've been a 5 star show.

Meh. Let's start with the fact that the tickets said show started at 5:00. Nope, doors opened at 5:00 and they wouldn't let you go to your seats until 6:00. Then they showed video clips from IFC for an hour. Big deal, not funny, waste of time. All in an effort to get people to buy overpriced drinks and bad food. Wifi was terrible. Workers in food service barely understood english. Host Jeff came out at 7:00 with a lot of unnecessary language and bad jokes. It was the last stop on the tour and it showed. They were knackered. The warm up comics were mildly funny. They performed their duties. Matt Broussard was a refreshing young comic. Iliza was very good. She mixed some of her old with new, thank you for that. I usually enjoy Jim Jeffries. I like the way he uses analogies in his routine. This time it wasn't that funny. Slavery and small things to make him feel like a giant were lame. Sebastian was the best of the night. Clever and witty and his accent and facial expressions were on point. Dane looked like he just crawled out of a cave. He looked tired and his set mirrored that. He bragged about his category knowledge on you porn...again, joked about abortion, using the C word...again, and masturbation...again. Boring. It's lazy, lazy comedy and not funny. Doing a bit on porn is old and nobody cares about self pleasure. He just mailed it in and checked the box. One last thing, comics who brag about how much cocaine they did in the 80s are lame. Two comics at least did it here. They talk about how much blow they did and how cool they were. Operative word here being "were", past tense. Nobody cares. Clearly the 80s is when they peaked and they are still trying to get that feeling back. The show was too long because it wasn't funny enough to last 3 hours and 40 minutes (Cook came on at 10:04). I thought about recommending it, but really you can just watch this on you tube at home with some cheap popcorn and free water. Any new comic will rise to the forefront eventually.

This is my third year in a row of attending this event. My side hurt so much from laughing. There are so many comics, even if there a few you many not personally dig, they're on and off in a few minutes. I make sure and get there early to see the comics on the side stage too at 5:00pm. Granted, with 5-6 hours of comedy and only two 15 minute breaks, it makes for a long evening. But, so worth it. Just coming for the main stage 7:00pm - 11:00pm, you get more than your money's worth out of the tickets. Now that they are closing Irvine Meadows, I hope there is suitable replacement venue identified nearby for next year.

The show was great however, the start time was misleading. The ticket indicated that the start time was 5:00pm but the show didn't start until 7:00pm. We were rushing to get there on time and had we known, we could have taken our time getting there. Also, there was a lot more comedians performing which meant shorter time for my two favorites Dane Cook and Sebastian Maniscalco...... Suggestion for next time, to be clearer on the actual start time and listing of who is performing.

There was a great line-up all together! I was personally most excited to see Iliza live, but I would have to say that Sebastian stole the show! He flowed perfectly, even when distracted by a large flying bug that came towards him, and referenced his experience in Austin almost perfectly! Ali Wong did a fantastic job as well! The weather was in our favor, so we didn't have to deal with getting rained on, and the breeze made everything more comfortable.

Third trip to Oddball Festival and as always we had a good time. We make the 4-5 hour drive to Dallas or last year was KC. I would say that we went into this line-up without as much expectation as the previous two. We did not know most of the comics, and Dane Cook as a headliner was not as 'new and fresh' as the previous years. Historically Oddball has had the latest 'explosive' star like Louis CK two years ago, etc. However, the slate of comics leading up to the headliner were really good, and even better than previous years. Ali Wong, Iliza Shleslnger, Tom Segura, and others all killed it as opening acts. Jeff Ross was supposed to be there, but was not. Big Jay Oakerson stepped up to MC. We really missed not seeing the Roast Master General, but Big Jay was a good fill-in. Sebastian Maniscalco performed the only PG set of the night, and while we are fans of the R-rated stuff, he had us nearly peeing our pants. Dane Cook was just ok. Funny as one would expect, but again, just not the 'flash' that we have seen in previous years from the headliners (Louis CK, Amy Schumer, Sarah Silverman, Whitney Cummings). The Gexa Energy Pavilion is a good venue. Live Nation does a nice job on their website with being able to pick actual seats (Ticketmaster sucks at this!!!!), but it was a bit disheartening to buy seats within minutes of onsale time and several weeks in advance only to see literally hundreds of seats in front of us sell for half of what we paid weeks before the event. On the day of the event we could have purchased front row center seats for less than we paid to be back 12 rows and to the side. Our seats were good however. Otherwise, my only other complaint is that beverages were crazy expensive. Pints of beer were $16. I am probably just out of touch, but that seems a bit excessive. Overall we had a good time, but we will be looking much more closely at next year's line-up and I'll probably wait for tickets until last minute this time.

First Gexa Energy Pavillion is a dump. This was a horrible for a comedy act. Sebastian Manascslco is one of the best comedians going. The guy is hilarious who can actually tell a story and make you laugh out loud. Sebastian should be the headliner. The other guys are a bunch of hacks who just say obnoxious overly sexual things to get a reaction. Not laughs but just reactions.

I got tickets and bought good seats because I wanted to see Dane Cook... I was very disappointed. It was a low end show that gave the perception it was put together at the last minute. Some of the comics were funny but most were no better than an open mic night at a local bar. Dane only performed a set same length as all the rest (20 ish mins) and wasn't very funny... People were actually walking out during his performance with keys in hand. They used his name and past notoriety to sell tix to a below ever age show.

Although lacking the star power of last year's tour, my wife and I and another couple that joined us had a wonderful evening of laughter. Jeff Ross was very entertaining and his ad libs both at the beginning and after intermission of the show were amazing. We have seen Sebastian Maniscalco before and his facial expressions and body contortions make his every day observances hilarious. We were mildly entertained by Dane Ross. We very much enjoyed the routines of several of the lesser known comedians. In that regard, Iliza Shlesinger was a true stand out. We hope to see her perform again soon. We have 2 daughters and she constantly reminded us of the issues and temptations that young women confront socially and regularly. Additionally, my wife totally loved Iliza's observation of what happens when a woman has too much time to prepare for a night out.

Worst comedy show - a bomb!! Only a few funny comics - Sebastian and Tom Segura were great. Two dudes from SNL were ok. Jeff Ross should have stuck with hosting - his last segment was not worth staying for. Tracy Morgan was so terrible - i think he gave up and said ok that's it I'm done. I paid a lot of money for the tickets well in advance to find out they dropped the ticket prices dramatically within days of the show. The Live Nation staff was horrendous. They made us pour our bottles of water into cups but the next aisle over no one had to do that -they were all walking in with whatever they wanted. Then the staff put all of their friends around us in the VIP section so all night they were up and down, talking, hugging each other & getting free drinks brought to them from the waitstaff. I paid for my tickets and wanted to see the show not listen to all of them talk to each other all night. They basically had older women watching the section who couldn't say a word to the mayhem going on w/staff & their friends. We had to tell them several times to be quiet. Then we moved a row back because a staff member & his friends in front of us wouldn't shut up. So then the guy goes & gets more friends to sit in the row we just left in front of us. Live Nation should be embarrassed the way it was run. We go to PNC all the time & this was the worst. Last year's show was so much better. And Oddball should have done a better job for NJ

I really enjoyed the performances of Colin Jost, Pete Davidson, Tom Segura, Sebastian Maniscalco, and Jim Jefferies. Bridget Everett was pretty good. But I just felt so sorry for Tracy Morgan. So few 'real' laughs, but a lot of nervous ones. His timing is totally off, he lost his train of thought, it was pretty sad. I left before Jeff Ross came on because he makes my skin crawl.

Overall the show was good. By far, Bridget Everet was the funniest and the most high energy. The MC , Jeff Ross, was also great. Chris Jelnik, dry and a fun 'set em up & knock em down' type style was also good. Amy was clearly trying out new material, and most of it was about vaginal discharge, which, can be funny, but not if you ask the crowd to agree with you through applause. Aziz Anzari was ok. We left during his set to beat the crowd. Still, as I said, all in all we had belly laughs, and that's why we went.

First time at Red Rocks... so breathtakingly beautiful. As for the lineup, there were comedians I hadn't heard of until that night, but I definitely won't forget them! Every comedian knocked it out of the park (except Sarah Silverman... that was uncomfortable on so many levels). What a great lineup if you are a comedy fan. My only issue is that the start time was listed at 5pm. Well .. , that time was for the lesser known comedians on a smaller stage, out in the concession area. No big deal except the stadium wasn't open , and you weren't allowed into your seats until 8:30. The entire Jones Beach audience was kept outside and allowed to basically wait in the concession area for 3.5 hrs . They did have a small area open (21+ONLY) with a few chairs where they were selling booze and bar snacks. That delay made the lines for water, food, rest rooms, seating, etc ridiculously long.. I doubt that area was made for the entire crowd to be there all at one time.. Other than that, the show was great once it got going..

Some of the lesser known were funny, but overall not worth the price of admission. I wouldn't go back again. The venue was a mess too. Seats too small and crowded. Outrageous prices for food & beverages and $30 to park! I won't go back there for any show just for that reason.

Gates opened 2 hours before the main show, but the side stage had non-stop comedians warming up the crowd and plenty of booths around the perimeter to keep us entertained. Premium parking was $40 (take a cab!) but the show was well worth it! Jeff Ross M.C.ed and he was on fire, starting right away by ripping in to the crowd. Hilarious! The large TVs on the sides of the stage kept you abreast of the action and the live editing was really well done, especially during Flight of the Conchords. Hannibal Buress was hilarious with his shiny pants and mumble rap! Kristen Schall flashdanced brilliantly and Flight of the Conchords nailed the entire set! Dave Chapel was funny but a little jaded. It's too bad. He had a bad experience in Hartford that is clearly haunting him.

What an amazing night! I've been to standup comedy shows before but this blew all of them away. Each comedian had a different style of comedy, which made it all blend together amazingly. I originally bought tickets just because Dave Chappelle was performing and didn't really know much about the other comedians. Jeff Ross was a hilarious host! I've seen him on the celebrity roasts before. That dude is hilarious! Flight of the Concords, Jim Jeffries (sp?), that dude from the workaholics and an amazing special guest appearance by Donnell Rawlings (Ashy Larry) made the night amazing. After a long week of work laughing my face off was exactly what I needed.

This was a great line up! Dave Chappelle was awesome, a little melancholy, but most comedians have a dark side and that is what makes them comedians. I would see him again in a heart beat! Flight of the Conchords rocked as well. All the comedians on the main stage were hilarious. It was indeed a great line up of comedians that meshed well together. I only gave this event 4 stars because of the venue itself is in need of some serious upgrades. Also, they did not allow us to go to our seats for the first 90 minutes because there were two smaller stages with comics. I cannot stand for long periods of time and there was no mention that I would not be able to access the seats I paid for until the other comics were done. There was no where to sit and it was very inconvenient. Three days later, I am still in excruciating pain. The Verizon Wireless Ampitheater seriously needs an upgrade. It's just like it was 20+ years ago.

First off have to say there is a little bit of something for everyone and the comedy acts were ask pretty good and funny in their own way. John Mulaney and Al Madrigal were hilarious for just about their entire sets had the whole audience laughing throughout it all. Jeff Ross and flight of the Concord were good too and had the audience laughing and singing but Chappelle brought the house DOWN.. Everyone went insane for him. In the last few months I've gone to see some pretty big names in the world of comedy and I truly mean no disrespect to them but none could hold a candle to Chappelle and his act. He seemed so natural almost as if he was sitting in a room with close friends. I hope that I get to go to anything Chappelle comedy event because he truly is one of the greatest of all time. All in all I give this tour with this lineup and A++ HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ANY AND EVERYONE!! Witness history before it's too late and you can't. Thank you funny or die the comedians and most importantly thank you Dave Chappelle for making one of my goals come true with getting to see my all time favorite comedian live at least once. Again great shore catch it while it's here

Jokes are a lot funnier when you can hear them. Then again, I also couldn't hear anyone laughing, so maybe my first statement is wrong! Conchords fell especially flat. One star for Chapelle, half star each for Jeff Ross and Demetri Martin. Glad I did not spend more than $40 for this show.

We got there at 5pm and I was wondering if it was too much time before the Flight of the Conchords and David Chappele, but time flew and honestly even the amateur comedians were great, especially Kevin Barnett. Everyone was great! Also Jeffrey Ross was a great MC.

HOW DO I GET MY MONEY BACK??? I sat 9 rows from the front of the stage. When Chappell walked on, he received a standing ovation. The whole place was excited. As he started his act, there were a few people yelling to him, as people do at every concert that I've ever been to. The "yells" were affirmations such as "Dave I love you", lines from his past movie Half Baked, and lines from the Chappell Show. Someone yelled "Oprah" probably referring to how Oprah grilled him during her interview with him. He seemed annoyed from the start but did begin to tell his jokes. After the second joke, he started to criticize the audience for being too loud and yelling during his act. The more he criticized the audience, the more people yelled back. Then he stated that he was done and that under obligation he had to be on stage for exactly 23 minutes then he was leaving. He used profanity stating that he hated Hartford and that he was never coming back. He stated that he put in his contract that he was to be paid up front and that we just bought him the new wing on his house. He proceeded to grab his pack of cigarettes, his bottle of water, and a towel and sat on the stage doing nothing. He even started to read a book from a woman in the front row that was trying to get a free plug. A few people left upset, but most stayed still waiting for a show to start. At one point I got excited because he started to tell a story about the time he opened for Richard Pryor, but the story was to emphasize the fact that Pryor was done with comedy and how Pryor left in the middle of his act, never to be seen doing stand up again. Chappell made a few comments such as "I wonder where Kat Williams is right now?" People started to boo and he said he didn't care. He said "Go home, look in the mirror and boo yourself." He made comments about how he didn't feel bad or guilty and that we did it to ourselves. He repeatedly used profanity and gave the audience the middle finger. There was a point when a woman from the front row nicely stood up and stated to Chappell, " There are people here that love you and want to hear what you have to say." He repeated it to the audience and stated too bad others ruined it. He continued to do nothing. At the end. He asked the DJ to play him off, made a comment that he "better leave before he gets snipped off the stage", looked for security, placed the mic on the stool and left. There are many stories out there about how Dave Chappell was "heckled" and that is what caused his reaction. That is false. There were a few people yelling to him, not at him, but it was people trying to show their support for him. A true professional would of kept on going and gave the rest of us that were waiting patiently, the show we came to see.

Information, information, information! For weeks prior up to the inaugural show everyone on the Funny or Die Facebook page for this festival asked for information concerning the lineup and when things would start. They even posted a "are you ready!?" picture 5 days prior with NO lineup info. They did respond to my question but only replied, "We should have some info soon." So basically per the email THE DAY BEFORE we get there at 5pm when the doors open...only to be told in the 100 degree Texas summer heat that the lawn & seats wont be open until 6pm. So my wife & I took shelter as many did in the shade behind food vendor buildings. So we go to sit at 6pm ONLY TO BE TOLD THE ACTS dont start until 7pm!!!...nor was anyone explained about the Second Stage versus the Main Stage. I don't know why they didnt announce this info prior. I could have gotten there 2 hours later and in less Texas heat! When I asked one of the ushers when the acts would start, he pulled out a sheet a paper with the info. I dont know why that info wasnt public. They had it on a sign at the venue but nowhere was it public prior. Concerning the sun, it was hot. Many of the acts referenced how how it was. I was surprised how this venue didnt have more places for shade. So the sun set at about 730pm or so and most of the acts were great, Al Madrigal, Kristen Schaal, Hannibal Buress, Demetri Martin was ok (he's pretty dry anyway so it took a while to warm up to him again) and Flight of the Conchords was amazing and hysterical. Dave Chappelle....the headliner, who didnt even keep to the alloted start time went on and....I'm a Dave Chappelle fan and this was not his best set. This was not a set. It was him shotting the breeze for 45 mins or so. He himself reference he did 11 mins of an act in 45 mins. If thats true and he had 11 mins of new material, it felt like only 2 or 3 of it was decent, not good. I hope the other cities get a better show out of him. Had he been the only person performing, I'd ask for my money back or be highly disappointed. I expected more from him. Overall I gave the show 3 stars because it was hot, the venue was unorganized, the seats were not great, but 3/4ths of the act made up for all that. I wouldnt recommend this outdoor venue/show unless you can stand the summer heat and really REALLY like all those comedians and not just Chappelle.

This is the third year I've attended Oddball, and the quality has declined every year. Kumail Nanjiani and Iliza Schlessinger canceled at the last minute, and the only notice was a very small sign near the entrance. They were the primary attractions in this year's lineup. With the exception of Matt Broussard, most of the remaining comedians were not funny, primarily leaning on hackey and often racist/insulting humor of the Andrew Dice Clay tradition. Add to that the number of people who brought small children to a very mature show (one kid about 5 was pointed out by the comedians) and the fact that the Live Nation app was a complete failure, and the event was a complete failure.

Tickets and web site said the event was supposed to start at 5pm. Showed up at 4:30 to a huge line so everyone else thought the same thing. Actually the gates opened at 5 and the show started at 7. So after the long wait we were very excited for the line up. It was the last stop on the tour and it showed. The comedians seemed tired and ready to be done. Only 2 of the 9 comedians were funny. By the time Dane cook got up we were tired and ready to go. But we held out... turns out we should have left early. Huge let down. Not worth half of the $300 we paid for tickets.

It was our first time attending this venue, Ak-Chin Pavillion. The ticket said 5:00, meaning the gate didn't open till 5:00. We thought it was the showtime so we arrived at 4:15 thinking we had plenty of time to get a beer and find our seats. Since we stood outside for close to an hour, we realized 5:00 was NOT the showtime. Once we were let in, we got our beverages and headed to our seats. There we were told that seating was closed until 6. This was another whole hour of standing and waiting around. The show didn't start until 7:00! Everyone was walking around bitching at the venue staff that we've already been standing in the sun waiting to get in now we can't even sit down! I assume this was a way to get people to buy more food and drinks at outrages prices. (2 beers were $25). We were happy to finally get to our seats and the show itself was great. We went to see Sebastian and Jeff Ross and they did not disappoint.

It sucks that I feel compelled to not give this 5 stars but having the wrong start time on tickets is unacceptable. Especially in Phoenix when it's hot out. We showed up about 30 min early to what was listed as a 5:00 start time. Turns out they didn't open the gates until 5. They had no place to sit because we couldn't go to our paid for assigned seats until about an hour later. (No reason given) Being with a disabled senior made this challenging and nobody cared. The only good was Sebastian Maniscalco. That dude is genius and I'd see him again in a heartbeat.

The comics were fantastic and totally worth going to see, the crowd however was terrible. All the crowd cared about was hearing Italian jokes from Sebastian and then left without having the respect to watch the other people perform. Too many uptight people in the crowd who clearly don't know what comedy shows are about.

I was once referred to a restaurant by a friend who told me that the steaks were huge. He loved the restaurant. My wife and I visited the restaurant for dinner for the first time a few weeks later. The steaks were certainly large portions but the meat on both of our plates were tough. Some people mix up value by thinking that quantity and quality are interchangeable. The show was terrible. There were a few comedians that were great but their time was limited due to the many other comedians (?) who were on the bill. Maniscalco was probably the best one as was evidenced by his receiving the only the standing ovation. Interestingly, after Maniscalco exited the stage, fully 1/3 of the arena emptied. Morgan was a waste of time and Jeffries is not a Don Rickles. We waited for Jeffries to get into his groove but he never reached it. The show was very long, too long. I would have paid the same price for only 3 comedians and have the show end in 90-120 minutes.

The first couple of comedians were ok then got progressively worse, just awful except of course for Sebastian, hysterical as always, but unfortunately only on less than 30 mins. Everyone started leaving after him and once the next comedian came on it was really downhill. Would never go again to Oddball.

Not being allowed to sit on the lawn was a huge hit to the overall experience. That is half the reason for buying the ticket, especially when the lineup is a bit weaker than normal like this year. This state was apparent in the amount of people who actually showed up. At least let the lawn seat people sit on the lawn.

Couple of reason for not a so stellar review. The venue is way to large to see or properly hear the comedians. I had a good seat in the forward section and still had relie on the jumbo tron, if I had known this I would stay home and watch TV. Also I could not find anywhere what the actual time schecule was other than the start time. This ended up being a 5 hour deal, so I was dead by the time the head liners came on. Also the amount of availble food concseesions is not sized for the 15K+ folks it seats. On the positive side the comedians where fantastic.

I believe the comedians did a great job and I really enjoyed their sets and the variety of comedians. I do think it was horrible planning to host this show in the same area as the state fair on the last day of the fair. The traffic was ridiculous and the roads such a maze, we arrived extremely late and highly annoyed. Once we did make it to the show, the frustration compounded by long lines at the concession areas and many of the popular food items were already out of stock. I hope future shows take this into account so paid ticket holders can enjoy the full show, instead of the traffic.

The Show was Great. Getting to the event was a nightmare. In years past, getting in and out was easy. This year however, the event was going on at the same time as the State Fair. We had to park about a mile away in a real sketchy industrial neighborhood and pay for parking. In years past parking was free and a short walk across the lot to the theater.
