Thank Goodness for Valet parking! It was the best money spent that night due to the crowd. The talent was exceptional and kept getting better as the night progressed. Every one around us were very considerate and fun! We will definitely do it again.

First time it was awesome loved it I sure would be there next year

My two adult sons and I bought tickets to celebrate my husband as the best father in the world, taking him to this incredible display of musical arts and talented people, thinking he would like it. We were wrong. Not only he liked it, he loved it!!!! And obviously we did as well. The security and measures to protect the people attending the event were great and we had a very pleasant evening. So much fun we had, that we are considering going back next year! Thank you for a show well done!

This event exceeded my expectations. My wife and I enjoyed every moment, from the continuous mariachi groups playing to the fireworks finally. We are definitely planning to go again.

The show was like a tribute to the producer who could not sing. each act played too long. there are some many great marachi group that are know but the groups this time were not the best compared to previous. very dissapointed.

The music was great. I think what makes it really cool is the atmosphere. Because its a beautiful outdoor venue.

The Mariach USA Festival was great. The music was fantastic and the crowd was energized and it made like a party atmosphere.

My first time at the festival, went with my wife and friends. I think I felt like I heard the same song and same Mariachi band all night. Dont get me wrong I enjoy the music but maybe three hours was just too much for me. I understand its traditional music but some more Vicente or even some contemporary music.. I did hear a little Luis Miguel and others...

It was the first time that I saw this event and liked it very much. I would really recommend it for the Mariachi lovers. 4 hours non stop plus fireworks at the end, great!

This years event was fantastic as always, but when did 'The Devil Went Down to Georgia' become a mariachi favorite? Also, Rodri needs to refrain from singing as I am sure Los Ponchos were performing superbly without her singing would agree. She was a little annoying at times with her personnel stories.

Second time I've been there, will keep going every year! It was so much fun, I even got up and danced! If you've never been, I highly recommend it! Just about five hours of live Mariachis, who could ask for more???

The Mariachi Festival was a blast! The music was incredible, the costumes were beautiful. By the end of the night, we were dancing in the aisles. Very very fun.

I love Mariachi music and every year I do my best to attend to The Mariachi USA event. I do however have a comment, that perhaps Ms. Rodriguez might not like. When she tries to sing it kills it for me. Will someone please tell her that singing is not her forte'. The time we spend listening to her sign could be better used with attende's that know how to sing. but I do thank her for putting a good show together; that she should stick to..

I had a fantastic time, my seats were great. My fourth year attending and excited for more.

Seems like it's a predictable show now. Same groups and everyone already expects the same songs to be performed. It needs a little change!

If you love mariachi music this is a must go to event every mariachi is top notch. Awesome show!!

I have always wanted to attend the big Mariachi USA event and finally did this past week. It was a let down. I expected 8-10 Mariachi groups. There were only 4. I expected several Folklorico dance groups. I believe there was only one. It was a disappointing night and not worth the cost.

It was our first time attending! Definitely will come back next year and be better prepared. You can bring in coolers(which we didnt) with almost anything sealed (except glass and alcohol). Most people tailgate outside too. Also beware there is stacked parking so you cannot leave early so come prepared to stay until the finale and to wait a while afterwards. Definitely inviting my family to attend!

Attended the Mariachi Fest with my parents, there is nothing like live music at the Hollywood Bowl to unite the senses and loved ones alike. A must see, so be sure to purchase your tickets for Mariachi Fest 2017.

This was my first experience to the Hollywood Bowl and thoroughly enjoyed the Mariachi USA event. They did a really good job and introduced some excellent bands. Very entertaining, wonderful weather, and overall great crowd looking to just appreciate the music and surroundings. The music and singers were great. The introduction of costumes and dancers added a nice mix and the fireworks at the conclusion of the show was impressive. We took the inlaws who were in their mid 70's they thoroughly enjoyed it and the walk was minimal for such an event.

This was my first time attending the Mariachi USA concert. The place was packed and I had great seats. I enjoyed the view from my seat. I enjoyed the concert but I wish they had a larger line up, and I wasn t all that fond of the host. She was odd and no one knew who this lady was. Her outfits were tasteless. I was hoping to see and feel more of the beautiful Mexican culture with a more charismatic host\u2026maybe next year.

The sights and sounds of this event are overwhelming. And so is the cheer and comradery among everyone during the pre-show festivities and during the show. The only set back is that you still can not bring in your own wine or alcohol. Aside from that its a great place to host this event.

Would be better if music stuck with traditional mariachi.

Same artist every other year. Beer selection is no good, you have to practically walk down to the main entrance for variety. Needs something new and exciting. Getting bored of same performers every year.

This is the place to go when you need to fill your musical soul with Mariachi! My first time to this event and i was amazing. The mariachi groups were all great. The crowd was good. No problems what so ever.

Second year my mother and I attend the event, and each each is unforgettable. Music is awesome, makes us sing with our heart.

The event was to see Mariachi groups & when the entertainers were performing it was fine. However, I did not pay to go see a high maintenance narcissistic host who requires the opinion of the entire audience on each of her dresses? Nor did I pay to see commercials on a screen, I could have stayed home to see that on TV. This event brings the best of Mexico to the audience and shows our tradition and culture to everyone; however, if the host is not changed, I could see this event ending. When she gets booed by the audience, that says alot.

This was my third year in a row. The other 2 years were better. Not as many classic, sing-along type songs this year. I felt like I was at Disneyland, pretty music but not the usual party type of concert it usually is. Everyone looked bored, tired, & sedated whereas usually there are people dancing in the aisles and standing at their seats singing and dancing. Hopefully next year the bands are asked to play at least one oldie but goody. I will be back. They cannot all be great I guess.

Loved the show, as we do every year. Four stars because we were surprised that at the 25th anniversary celebration a significant one there were not more big name groups in the show. The highlight for us was Las Reynas de Los Angeles --But we wish that they would have been given a larger billing & placement in the show! Thank you and we will be back next year!

Mariachi USA was such an unforgettable event! The performances were spectacular, the energy was sky high, and the night felt magical at the Hollywood Bowl! I can't wait to go again next year!

This is my second year attending this event and I love it so much that I plan on attending it from here on out.

I've been going to this show for the past 7 years. The music is always great! However, with this being the 25th anniversary, I was expecting something amazing and something I had not seen before. That wasn't the case at all. To be honest, it wasn't even that memorable. Some of the previous shows had been better.

i have attended this mariachi festival events for the past 5 years unfortunately this event did not meet my expectations with it being the big 25th anniversary more entertainment could have been involved, there was less mariachi groups involved then previous times. overall it needed more spice to it to really feel like a festival and a big celebration of the 25th anniversary

I have been to this event about 4 times. I was really excited to attend this year because it was their 25th Anniversary. I guess I expected too much. It was not all that. It was just okay. I enjoyed it better last year. Of course the annoying lady in the row behind us did not help; she was laughing about everything and her laugh was loud and annoying. Her group was talking way too much. My husband and I just wanted to enjoy the music. I did love Las Reynas de Los Angeles. They were awesome!!!

Variety of Mariachi was okay, last year was better. Problem is that too many drunk people don't enjoy the show and don't let it be enjoyed!

The night went fast. People were dancing and having fun. I will be going evry year.

The show was amazing, if you enjoy Mariachi music you will enjoy this show. This was the first time I had attended and found it to be amazing. I plan on taking my whole family next year.

This was my first time at Mariachi USA, not impressed at all. It started boring with kids singing. I was looking forward of hearing the profesional Mariachis, The last hour and a half was the best of it, the fireworks were amazing.

I had the most amazing time a Mariachi USA! 4 hours of endless mariachi was too good to be true! ot a great deal for a group of 4. For the price my seats were amazing! Moving up would have been exciting but I can't afford to do that. I could see and hear well. You miss minor details like their dress, but the screens do a great job of capturing that for you. The best part is getting a great overall view of the stage and the hills. My only problem was with the Hollywood Bowl. It is my favorite venue in LA, ad they let me down. I sent an email asking if I could bring beer to the event knowing they allow wine. Not only did they not respond but when I arrive with my bottle of wine like I had done for many other shows there, they made us get rid of the wine and our water bottles. Their reason for this was because it was a leased event, in which case they should have advertised it on the website since I used that as a guideline for what I could bring!

Had no idea what to expect...It exceeded any expectations! The entire Bowl was engaged! The different acts kept the energy level up! Great performances......can't wait for next year! Our seats were great, this box had 4 seats...food pre ordered from Patina delivered to box was a bit pricey but great... service by our awesome Jade couldn't have been better! This is something anyone who enjoys music must attend at least once in their lifetime. Haven't stopped talking about Mariachi USA!

I went to the 22nd year but this one was 100 times better! They played more of the older tear jerker songs that everyone loves and reminisce is too.

Male Mariachis are amazing but the female mariachi's are even incredible! Love it will be there next year...can't wait for June 18th, 2011.

I didn't expect the Mariachi USA show to be a great as this. I bought the tickets for my parents, but at the end of the night I was the one singing along with the mariachi and my parents. It was great....would attend another Mariachi USA festival.

So much fun and a good variation of artist. I recommend it.

We expected an amazing show full of mariachi's like the previous year 2017- this year show was not close to it. The audio on the single performers where not the best e.g pedro infantes grandaughter. The trio was good but played to long and got boring after a while, the end is always amazing because of the mariachi de tecalitlan is by far one of the best. This year we pre-party/picnic before the concert... I really recommend to have more mariachi's like the previous years, the dancers in btween as well... i hope next year venue is much better. i recommended this show to 50+ becuase of last year amazing mariachi performances,but now i am having second doubts. Talking to friends we had a great time, because you socialize and drink but at the end of the day you also want to enjoy the venue. I am now second doubting on recommending friends for next year.. once the list of the new venue comes up, then i can decide if it will be worth it.

I first attended a couple years ago and had a blast it was awesome kept it fun and interesting however this year there was lots of downtime where the entertainer wasn t that great and couldn t keep people awake and actually keep their full attention, hope next year it s more fun and interesting

It was great but the last 3 groups were better at first was a little boring might come back next year Viva Mexico!!!

If you are expecting to attend Mariachi USA thinking that it's a colorful festival where mariachis will play iconic songs such as "El mariachi loco", "El son de la negra", "Huapango de Moncayo" or even "El Rey" you'll be deeply disappointed. The mariachis looked professional but it seemed that they played their own songs. Also, the host lowered the standards drastically. Rodri Rodríguez came out with different but tasteless outfits and failed to entertain the audience for five hours. She didn't have a script and relayed too much on her revealing dresses to entertain the guests. Not to mention that the stage was poorly decorated with no colors. This was by no means a mariachi festival.

The Hollywood Bowl is a great venue, but the concert lacked in the promised Mariachi music. Way to slow, too many intermissions and not enough real Mariachi music. Host of event should not try to be a part of the show, introductions should just been made over loud speaker introducing new group.

I've been to this event several years in a row and this time it was just okay. The song selection was not as good as prior years. The artists were the same as prior years as well. I would have liked to see more variet.

Mariachi Festival was nice, however the selection of songs was not as good as last year, Mariachi Loco wasn't even played. The Trio Los Panchos was a plus. We needed to hear a better selection of songs,especially popular Mariachi songs. Also more Foklorico dancers would of been nice. The event was too focused on the lady coming out with different costumes. We enjoyed it because of the atmosphere and friends, the tailgate music was more enjoyable and fun.

Such a special event in a beautiful setting! Crowd was amazing and so into the groups. Lots of singing dancing and laughing! Will be back for sure!

I went last year to this venue and it was way better there were better mariachis and way more. I honestly think they should have a host that speaks perfect Spanish that would honor our mariachi heritage. Quality of sound was so so the highlight was the last mariachi de Nuevo tecatitlan best one. no comparison to last years event

Everything was good but the trios. I enjoyed them but not for the full hour.... It is called Mariachi, not Trios!

The best tradition about the Hollywood Bowl is bringing a picnic and drinks to share with friends. We've been to other concerts where no glass was allowed into the Bowl, but they always notified us in advance. Not so this time! We had to leave our bottle of wine at the gate, and pay the money-grab prices from the vendor inside. PLUS, I had a metal thermos of hot tea, and the security guards made me pour it all out. This was absurd. We got the email reminder about the concert -- why didn't it include a list of the rules so we could have prepared in advance? Bad form, Hollywood Bowl, Mariachi USA and Ticketmaster.

We had people that loudly talked through the whole concert, spilled food on us and the ushers did do anything until the end of the concert

I have never seen such TALENT ... each performance was truly amazing. Guadalajara, Mariachi Nuevo Tecalitlan, the legendary Mariachi Los Camperos de Nati Cano, from McAllen Texas 2-time Grammy Nominated Mariachi Los Arrieros, from San Antonio Mariachi Campanas de America and the all-female Mariachi Las Alteñas and Special Guest Trio Los Panchos. Will definitely attend next year!

Car race should have been shut down. More artists from Mexico but overall awesome show

Great concert. The music just did it, the mariachis that performed were fantastic and the sound was just perfect.

It was an event I'll never forget and a must attend again next year. The Mariachi were awesome, the colorful Hollywood Bowl was spectacular and the firework show blew me away with excitement.

First time attending the event. I expected more from the mariachi bands. I was expecting more traditional and old school mariachi songs.

The music, singing, dancing and fireworks were incredible!

I always have a great time!!! However, I did not like that there was no particular theme. Sometimes its a tribute to one of the great artist like my favorite Jose Alfredo Jimenez, or perhaps emphasis on a region in Mexico. I'm still going no matter what but themes makes it a little more interesting, educational (I take my teens) . Thank you

unfortunately this yr was not as great as past yrs. the mariachis were not the best, too many commercials, and saw many minors drinking.hopefully next yr is better

LIMIT THE BEER SALE, PEOPLE GET DRUNK, IMPERTINENT

AUDIO WAS MUFFLED AT TIMES AND WE HAD BOXED SEATS AND SAT CLOSE TO STAGE. JUST A SUGESTION HOSTESS SHOULD'NT SING...

I have attended numerous Mariachi Festivals in other cities and venues and was extremely disappointed with this Mariachi USA. The viewing monitors were not turned on until late in the festivities. The monitors were also too small for this type of entertainment. I was surprised at the size of these viewing monitors and their locations (too far from rear sitting areas). The sound system was very poor, in that the microphones kept sounding with feed-back and some microphones were off, or kept going off, so the audience couldn't hear a particular instrument or singer. The actual entertainment was confusing. Other entertainment, other than Mariachi music, was presented. I didn't go to this 'festival' to hear an accordian! The show also had two (2) dogs on stage advertising a movie, with a movie film clip shown, I didn't go to this festival to watch a movie or the hostess converse with dogs! The down time between groups was long, considering there was a revolving dual stage. I now know why the more well known Mariachi groups, such as Mariachi Vargas and others stayed away from this venue. The people that put this "festival" together should visit other festivals, such as Fresno or San Jose, etc., to see how a true Mariachi Festival should be organized and presented.

The experience from beginning to end was...AWESOME

The performers were excellent. We really enjoyed them. But we were not happy with our choice of seating. Seemed to be the party area with a few citizens carrying on in a provocative manner, abstucting the view of others, drinking too much and smoking pot. Security was only seen once during the entire show, their presence needs to be known. If you are going to spend the money at least sit down and enjoy the show.

We had a blast from the moment we arrived. We danced, sampled yummy mexican food, won prices from the vendors and listened to wonderful mariachi music. Definitley got our monies worth!

The Hollywood Bowl and Mariachi USA is a great combination. As you watch the sun set with great music in the background you think this event could not get any better, but it did. The event closed with a nice set of songs and fireworks.

This is a great event if you like Mariachi! Jose Hernandez, Mariachi Sol de Mexicio is the best!

I went with my best friend and her family. It was spectacular, I met a wonderful person and will alwasy remember this day as one of the best of the year. We are planing to go every year to enjoy such an increible music! Que Viva Mexico!!!!

It was okay. I don't think I'll go again. They played all ballads. I wanted to hear real Marachi Music. The traditional not these flimsy songs. I guess little by little you will lose people attending the event. I saw a whole lot of empty seats. The second to last band was great, but the last one was putting us to sleep and they were suppose to be the best.

For years I have been hearing how amazing the Mariachi Festival is and how much fun it is. I love listening to mariachi music and feeling that overwhemling sentimental nostalgia. But I left sorely disappointed on Saturday after the performance. It was a combination of things. The music set lists were okay, enjoyed the fireworks but I think the highlight for me was when Sol de Mexico played the classic music...that was a treat! The following comment is by no means a reflection on the mariachi bands - we were constantly being disturbed by the various people having several "getting to know you" conversations around us - totally disregarding the performers on stage and being exceptionally rude to those customers who actually came to hear mariachi music. Had they just quieted down and allowed us to enjoy the concert, we might have left a little happier. I don't think I'll be returning next year :-(

It's kind of like going to an Oldies But Goodies concert and then most of the songs they perform are modern compositions with oldies-like melodies. You go to hear "Angel Baby" and instead they play "Angel in the Midst of a Storm" (exactly...never heard of it). Many people were calling out for the original classics, but the only two they played were the played out El Rey and La Negra (great songs but kinda tacky when those are the only classics you play). If your'e clueless about mariachi you won't know the difference, except that the crowd isn't going wild over the modern compositions. If you love mariachi, this is an interesting show to see where American Mariachi (yes, there is such a term...and going to this show will prove it to you) is going...hopefully they comeback to their roots the way most genres eventually do. The mariachi songs of yester year were created out of a culture that had direct ties to the land and post-revolution culture of Mexico. You can't write new compositions and expect to have the same effect as the classics. For me, the modern composotions don't hit the spot and I would not waste my money or time sitting through them, unless I had the option to hit the skip button on my mp3. Don't get me wrong, the mariachis that played at Mariachi USA were top notch, but if you're going expecting to hear classic mariachi tunes you might be disappointed.

Been there many years and i have to say this was the best one ever. You wish they could play all night and in till the next morning. Non Stop Energy! It was extciting to see the youth mixed with thte elders.

Coming from the state where the mariachi was born and seeing all these performers on one stage, couldn't ask for more that Saturday!! Love it, and already planning for next years event.

I thought the purpose of this event was to showcase the up and coming mariachis of the region and not those of overrated mariachis like Mariachi sol de Mexico. To be honest, im sure they come with a hefty price tag, but mariachi imperial de mexico plays just as well as they do and theywere nowhere in the line up.....or mariachi monumental. mariachi Divas wouldve been great too....also the beer is over priced...it was like 9 dollars for a beer.....the restrooms are so far away and makes it really inconvenient....you end up missing about three or four songs by the time you make it back....unless things change, i wont be back any time soon.Viva la musica de Mariachi!

the music was amazing, but the sound for the singers this time was terrible, because sometimes we barely hear what they were sing.

The crowd watching was great. The performance of the Mariachis was average. I was dissappointed I was expecting more traditional songs. It was still a lovely show.

Too many local mariachi's and not enough considering this was suppose to be a festival. Too expensive for something that is free with dinner and drinks.

My familia and I enjoy this event we look forward every year to go. Our primo Ricky makes us have a good good time we got some GOOD memories this year tia martha will be joining us again. But this time she is bring her body guard Flaco lol I love the fire works their amazing if you wanna have a good time this is the place to go and enjoy ur self

The fireworks were like 4th of July. Could play more oldies that our 2nd generation knows. For example, La Bamba, cu-cu-rrc paloma, el pastor, camino de Guanajuato, la noche y tu, la Iguna and I did not hear Las Mananitas for the brithday people.

the four and a half hours that they played was sooo short , but it was an amazing evening with great weather great setting. alot of people truly enjoing themselves.

It was entertaining from beginning to end. It had a few surprises that everyone enjoyed. I would recommend this event to everyone. I am going next year to Mariachi USA 22.
