This was better than expected. Sammy Hagar was fantastic as the host of a terrific fund raiser with so many other talented artists.

Rock on Sammy. What a show!!! Seen you numerous times in your 4 decades of playing. This show was right at the top. Awesome for sure.

Best ever can't wait for next year had so much fun met up with a bunch of friends and partied at cabo afterwards had a blast

Sammy is 65......and you'd never know....montrose, wabos, chickenfoot and van halen...every era was covered. Three different machinations of bandmates....one time event...over the top in Tahoe. Thanks Sammy for a special night that reminded me, as I get older, that we're never going to stop rockin'....

Sammy still amazes while approaching 65. Show started with Sammy and the Wabos taking stage. After that set he was joined by Michael Anthony(bass and backing vocals), Vic Johnson(lead guitar), Mark Lauser(drums), and Mona(backing vocals). This set rocked with his singles hits and some Van Hagar. After a brief intermission He was joined by Joe Satriani(lead guitar), "Electric" Bill Church(bass), and Denny Carmazzi(drums). This is where they went back to the old Montrose days. Satriani filled in for the recently deceased Ronny Montrose, he did an excellent job. It was a Hard Rock night for all in attendance.

Unbelieveable!!!!!! He was fantastic he had the whole crowd going. Young old it didn't matter. My friend has been seeing I'm for 37 years! I can see why.

It was cool that the surviving Montrose guys played with him. When Sammy Hagar kept saying on the radio here in Reno this would be a test to see if he could sing for 3-4 hours in one night, I must admit I fell for it and paid the $70 for a ticket. He actually sang longer with Chickenfoot in May, about 2 hours. He did manage to repeat that he is 65 a few times, so I found it intresting that the Beach Boys did 2- 90 minute sets at Hervey's Tahoe with a 30 minute intermission and they have to be 10-15 years older than Sammy (Sammy did about 70 minutes with a 20 mintute intermission, followed by another 20 minutes.) I don't buy the Saturday night 10:00 PM curfew line he uses anymore (and he cannot afford that fine!) as the Beach Boys played until after 11:00 PM on a Sunday night. And they never mentioned having to pay a fine they could not afford, besides who has more money the Sammy? The bands all sounded great but I woud have preferrred a full 2 hour concert with Chickenfoot, than a few minutes with each.

For a 65 year old guy, he still appears to have a lot of gas left in his tank. I drove from L.A. to Tahoe to see this show, and he did not disappoint!

Hagar is still at his absolute best!! The Wabo's are one of the most underrated bands of all time. Top it of with Smokin Joe Satriani the best guitarist of his generation rocked the house. This was without a doubt the best show of the year.

Harvey's outdoor concerts are great. Sammy Hagar has been a favorite of mine since I first saw him when I was a teenager. His show still is incredible. He sounds great, looks great and has amazing energy!!! Loved it !!!!

Best concert out of the 16 concerts I've attended so far this year. A very good song list spanning Sammy's entire career.

Red Rocker still rocks hard, sings great, and looks great! His band is fantastic, and it was great fun and pleasure to the ears to have Michael Anthony on stage with Sammy. Sammy's lead guitarist is a phenomenal player! Don't miss seeing Sammy at least once - i'm ready to go again!

First time I've been to Rose Music Center......very nice. Will definitely go again. Sammy graciously signed autographs and played a great set of hits from his career. Loved it!

The Red Rocker's show is not to be missed. What a fantastic mix of Montrose, solo Sammy, Van Halen, & Led Zeppelin! The whole band looks as though they are enjoying every moment & having the time of their lives, and it comes through in the music.

It was a great show, Sammy, Mikey, Vic and Jason were on! My only problem is that they only played for 90 minutes. I feel that's kind of short with no opening band. I also thought they left out some REAL fan favorites. The new Rose Vunu is nice with no bad seats but they have a learning curve to get deal with. All in all I would go again today!

Awesome venue. I have been a huge fan of Sammy Hagar for 30 years. I have spent 1000's of hours listening to his music. I mostly love the older post Montrose pre Van Halen music. However I do still love his VH music. Love Montrose and HSAS music as well. This was the best concert of my life. I could listen to them live 24 hours straight. This band, The circle are so fun to watch. They have so much respect for each other it is unbelievable. The love they have for each other and the audience, makes it even more fun to watch them perform.

Sammy, as always, was great!! Rose Music Center is awesome as well. The 89 minute show was way too short considering no opening act.

40yrs of Rock at its best Montrose Hagar Van Hagar Led Zeppelin

Sammy and the Circle sounded great, but I expect more than just 90 minutes out of a concert such as this. There was probably more like 75 minutes of playing and 15 minutes of conversation.

Was one of the best shows I have ever seen. The venue was excellent !!!

I haven't had this much fun at a concert in quite some time. The set list was excellent. Sammy did a great job engaging the crowd and the band sounded great!

Shout out to Sammy Hagar and James Hetfield for a great concert- "Acoustic 4 a Cure" benefiting UCSF Benioff Childrens hospital. The line-up was amazing--all this talent, one night, one stage- Sammy Hagar, Aaron Hagar, James Hetfield and his daughter Cali, Jerry Cantrell, Pat Monahan, Linda Perry, Joe Satriani, Chad Smith and a surprise guest Adam Sandler- solid music for 3 hours and 10 minutes. Anyone living in the Bay Area shouldn't miss this concert next year - GREAT music for a GREAT cause!! Thank you Sammy !!

As always Sammy and the Waborita's ROCK! I have not missed a show in years, and I cannot wait for the show in September!

Sammy and the Wabos where awesome !! as he always is Love the venue perpect size for a show. No opening band just Sammy from 7:45 until 9:30 playing all of his hits well he cant play them all of course.

I have talked about how great Sammy's shows are and how he is one of the greatest vocalist in Rock to my kids for all of their lives. This was probably around the 30th time I have seen Sammy in my years of being a fan. First was in 1978 as opening act for Boston. After that I bought the live "All Night Long" record that had come out that year. Along with my sons 18 & 21 yrs old now, I brought that Album cover to the show with me hoping to get it signed. I always wanted to share a great concert experience with my boys....this was it. As any fan of Sammy will tell you, he always delivers, always treats the fans with his admiration of them, and performs to show that. While Michael Anthony and Vic Johnson are somewhat a constant with Sammy and are always great, the addition of Jason Bonham was superb (nothing against Dave Lauser, he is great also). With Jason and the number of Zeppelin tunes that were played, that was a bonus to me. Being a huge Led Zeppelin fan, my opinion is that only a few can pull of the vocals and do it justice, Sammy is one of those that can, and did. The Led Zeppelin catalog of music is the only band I play more than Sammy's collection, so my sons are very familiar. They even commented that he did a great job on the Led Zeppelin tunes. During the last encore song, Sammy pointed at my album cover held high from the far side of the stage, nodded his head and looked as if he said "I'm gonna get it" to me. Instant excitement from all those around me including my sons. After the song, they took their bows and Sammy came to my side of the stage, grabbed my record, signed and handed back to me. Great concert experience to share with my sons. Out of hundreds of concerts I have been to in my years, I would have to rate this as my all time favorite concert event. Only thing that could top this is if Led Zeppelin did a tour (or another one-off like the O2 concert in 2007) and I got to attend that with my sons..... Thanks Sammy for a great father & sons experience that I will never forget, & I know they won't either.

Great venue, terrific sound, and Sammy Hagar, Michael Anthony, Jason Bonham & Vic Anthony not only sounded great, played a great setlist, but you just knew they were genuinely having a blast playing for everyone there at the Hard Rock Live!

Sammy always makes his shows a blast....was a little surprised they went on so early, 8:15, but they played for 1:45 minutes and wasn't a dull moment.

The band was excellent, Sammy has not lost anything with his voice, and the Hard Rock Orlando was a great venue. Close proximity to the act from any seat.

Probably the best Hagar concert ever! He was awesome, as was Vic Johnson, and Michael Anthony. What can I say Sammy Hagar "ROCKS"! REDHEADS RULE!

This was a very good show. Sammy, as always was a master showman. The addition of Jason Bonham was a real plus, what a drummer ! Vic and Mike did a fantastic job also. The biggest problem was a rather unruly crowd on the floor in front of the stage, very inconsiderate and security had it's job cut out for it. This seems to be a problem in Tahoe and Cabo that can be solved by simply having reserved seats only. There were no reserved seats here even though the tickets stated seat numbers and rows.

Sammy kicked ass as usual. Great songs from the 70's, 80's, 90's, and 2000's. All the hits. Plus some Led Zeppelin too.

Not only was Sammy's voice spot on but to see Michael Anthony and Jason Bonham perform...well...the talent on that stage was amazing. They played Van Halen, Led Zeppelin and Sammy Hagar songs. Sammy is definitely the right person to sing Led. Michael and Jason's solos were great too.

Sammy Hagar is the man, he always puts on a good show giving it everything he's got.

Kick a@@ show! Great set list, with lots of Led Zeppelin, Van Halen, Montrose, and 'solo Sammy' stuff! And for me, it was real nice to keep the Led Zeppelin vibe going after seeing 'Zoso - The Ultimate Led Zeppelin Experience' the night before. The show rocked from the first song, but I think they took it to another level with When the Levee Breaks, and they didn't look back. I was in the 5th row, the last seat to the far left. I didn't care about the angle, because typically for a rock show, the venue will let the first five rows vacate their seats and stand in the open area in front of the stage. But not for this show. Fortunately, while off to the side, it wasn't obstructed. And I got to have Michael Anthony jamming on the bass in front of me most of the night. I took lots of great pics and wanted to post six of them here, but I kept getting a 504 Gateway error. I got one pic to upload, that'll have to do.

I was really impressed with Sammy Hagar's show with his great band. He played his best solo tunes as well as Van Halen favorites. To be honest, I did not think his guitarist would be able to cop Eddie's licks but he did, for the most part. Having Jason Bonham on drums was also special and they absolutely kicked butt on the Led Zep songs they played. Sammy has so much energy at 66 and I am not sure how he drinks copious amounts of tequila and rum and maintains his energy!!

Awesome show, I would see him again!! Been a fan since the early 80's. If you want to see a show with tons of energy, go see Sammy Hagar.!! You will not be disappointed!;)

Great show, one of the best I've ever seen...and I've seen a lot

At the Mann in Philly. Collective Soul opened and they have a heavy full sonic Rock sound with a really tight band. Great Rock n Roll! Sammy Hagar and the Circle - with the band line up this was simply really great Rock n Roll with the likes of Led Zepplin and Van Halen covers - awesome! Lot's from Sammy's archive too. Only critique; Way too LOUD for the size of the Mann. I had a really good seat but the pressure wave - yes it could be felt to your bones was too much. Moving back to the lawn section was only relief. The video is Sammy opening, and I missed recording most of the intro Sammy video that went through his career.

Fab! Collective Soul stole the show musically. Sammy is the ultimate "real deal" showman. Best night out in a long time!

Unbelievable show. Small venue and very loud like I like it. Long time Sammy fan and at amost 70 his voice is incredible. Wish I could do it 10 more times. "When the levee breaks" was off the hook. Metallica, Sabbath, now Sammy with my 11 and 12 year olds making memories

Great old school rock concert. Collective soul might be the best "warm up" band out there. The combo of zeppelin, montrose, haggar, and Van Halen music can't be beat. When the levee breaks.....nuff said.

In short.. Van Hagar fired their guitar player and drummer then remained the band to The Circle. A good portion of the show was the totally awesome hits from the Van Hagar era. Vic Johnston, playing an EVH Wolfgang guitar, nailed the tunes as good (maybe if not better on some spots) than Mr VanHeineken... Sam's voice continues to hit the notes, and Mike hit the harmonies as well. We heard several tunes on the way to the show, and I took a moment to pay attention. Several vocalist (not even near the almost 70 S.H.) slur through the words and notes. Not Sammy! The band was fun, and when the band has fun, you have fun! Also the staff was not ready for a sold out show. 20 minute wait for beer, really put a damper on the event. I got the tickets during the presale, and still didn't get very close to the stage, so who knows what scam that's all about.

With hundreds and hundreds of concerts under my belt, this is in my solid top 10! They did hits spanning the entire career, from Montrose to solo work, Van Halen, and even some Led Zeppelin thrown in. The sound was amazing and the band was as tight as you could hope! Don't wonder... Do it!

Sammy never fails to rock the house! He played some Montrose, solo, Van Halen, Chickenfoot and a healthy dose of Zepplin! The band was tight and the music loud but not ear splitting. Sammy signed most everything that was put in front of him!

The show was great, the band was spot on. The setlist was killer. We had a blast!!!

Great show! Sammy still rocks! My very first concert was Sammy Hagar back in '82 and he still has the energy and the vocal licks that hooked me way back then. It was great to see him and Michael Anthony playing together and having a good time. Vic Johnson held his own playing the riffs that Jimmy Page and Eddie Van Halen made legendary. And how cool to watch Jason Bonham play drums on tunes his dad was famous for. We heard some Montrose, Zeppelin, VH, Sammy solo stuff...oh, and how about a special guest appearance by Toby Keith doing some Bob Seger and some Georgia Satellites! Great mix of tunes and just a great rock 'n roll concert!

69 years old and he's still amazing! The band sounded awesome and they played a long set. They played Sammy songs, Van Halen and Led Zeppelin! Couldn't have asked for better music. Toby Keith came out and sang a song. I love seeing Sammy anywhere, anytime!

I've seen Sammy Hagar three times now. Once in 94 with Van Halen, once in 2001 or so and just a couple days ago in South Lake Taho. The Taho show was the best I've ever seen him. He's going to be 69 in less than 2 months and he is better than ever. Voice is killer, guitar playing on point. Man the Circle is a killer band. Half of Van Halen with Vic (who has held down guitar duty perfectly since day 1) and Jason Bonham (who is not only rock royalty but does his father proud in every project he plays in). I was blown away! I was ready to accept that my favorite front man was going to be good but ready to cut him slack due to age. No slack needed! I would put his performance up against any of his previous shows. I'm so glad I got to see him again and hope to do so next year! Thanks Sammy and the Circle!!

I have attended Sammy concerts all the way back prior to Sammy joining Van Halen. I do go every year that he's in Tahoe. This was one of his better performances. I really enjoyed the outdoor atmosphere over indoors. I brought 10 people with me. This was their first time seeing Sammy. Half of them were young 21 year olds. They told me that they enjoyed the show too and knew many of the songs. Missed a few of his Van Halen super hits but he has so many great songs that he could have been there for hours.

What can I say the Redrocker is number one whether he is playing with the Circle, the Waborita's or with Chickenfoot! The man just keeps getting better and better every year!

Top of the line venue, up close and personal. Will attend again!!

What a show! Sammy and the Circle kicked it. The sounded great, looked great, performed longer than expected and did a wide variety of music. Very humble and cool musicians. They even offered a special blend of Sammys Beach Rum which was cool to sample. They are had great items to buy as mementos. AAA++ to them!

Sammy is as good as ever!!!!!! Go see him if you have the opportunity.

My wife and I have seen Sammy 24 times since 1995. We've been to Cabo, Tahoe, Sacramento. We saw him with Van Halen, Montrose, Chickenfoot, the Wabos and many other variations. This was one of his best performances hands down. Over 40 years of hits from the 67 year old "CEO of Rock & Roll" equals 107 percent Awesome! He has more energy, stage presence and talent than bands 1/3 his age. Under the setting Tahoe summer sun, surrounded by trees and the lake within kicking distance, you could not help but have a great time.

Opening band was not what should have been opening for Sammy Hagar. Sammy also kept us waiting past 8:30 almost 9 o'clock I believe before coming on. Harveys Lake Tahoe outdoor arena acoustic sound was not impressed with. Maybe if you're sitting back on the bleachers it sounds ok but down front couldn't make out what these singers were saying. I just got back from Sturgis and the Buffalo Chip had better sound equipment. It was a decent show I enjoyed watching it. But I think Sammy sings better indoors. It's just my opinion.

This venue really sucks! It is a converted parking lot. If Tahoe wants to charge top dollar for big name performers, they really need to build an appropriate ampitheatre. There was no mention of an opening act when I purchased my ticket yet there was one. Sammy didn't hit the stage till after 8:30, so that made for a long time standing in a crowded space if you wanted to maintain a decent spot to view the show... Ridiculous in this day & age. Sammy & crew were good, especially Jason Bonham on drums. It was great to hear the tunes from 4 decades but should've played much longer to do it justice & for the amount we pay for tickets these days. If this venue has a curfew or something, shows should begin much earlier!

I've seen Sammy Hagar about 10 times, whether with Van Halen, or solo everywhere from the Cow Palace, Cal Expo, to Ironstone to Stockton Civic Center. This show at South Shore was at the top. From start to finish, a great show!

Rockin hit after hit......Sammy & the Circle were hitting on all cylinders. This venue had great sound and was small enough that I think everyone had great seats. I would go see another show from this tour in a heartbeat. If you can.....GO. You will not be let down.

Sammy and the Circle did not disappoint.. They played everything from Montose to Van Hagar and even some "red" Zepplin.. What a show!!! The opening act Collective Soul was also on point... It was a great night!!

Collective Soul was amazing. The energy they put out was top notch. I was front & center for the entire show. The security service was outstanding. Sammy & The Cirlce can put on a great show. Seen them several times and even went to the St. Louis show and this show was just awesome. Loved seeing Redheads from all over the USA.

I had a great time as always at the show and Sammy Hagar always puts on a good show. It was a bit hot inside but the show was great. I do wish the waitresses were there though. Not sure what that was about. We rode 100 miles to see the show and will be waiting for the next show in September if he plays there again. Go Sammy and the Wabos.

After actually leaving the Regency Ballroom in San Francisco a few months ago completely bored and disappointed by the billed tribute to Ronnie Montrose after his demise, I was skeptical that Sammy could pull off another gig entitled "Four Decades of Rock." I must say not only was I not disappointed, but this was truly one of the best shows he has done since before Montrose passed and I saw them play together at this same venue. I love Sammy Hagar and he never fails to be thankful and excited by his fans. This time the show started on time and the sets moved seamlessly through each other with only one longer intermission. I hope that Sammy never gets tired of entertaining his fans and loving every minute of it. I am sure that is what keeps him young besides his younger wife.

I have seen Sammy and Wabos several times and will continue to.. His shows are like one big party,, always!!! But this year,, with all his "special" guest,, it was even that much better. Montrose was like back in the day,( so i am told =) ) Everyone was right on,, and again never a disappointment.. Great friends, great times,, great Music,, Thank you Sammy and Friends..

Even though I got up at 4:30 A.M. for work, and got home at 1:45 the following morning, driving the 100+ miles all the way in to San Francisco's Fillmore for the Concert for a Cure was worth it! I got there pretty late and still walked right in and was not very far from the stage. The crowd was easygoing and no one was belligerent. I had never seen Chickenfoot, to begin with, I hadn't seen Taj Mahal since 1973, as a Deadhead I go see Bob Weir whenever I can, and Eddie Money was just a hoot. I enjoyed the enthusiasm of Michael Anthony (Never saw Van Halen) and Joe Satriani's humorous "rock star" impersonations contributed to the positive feel of the show. Chad Smith is a great drummer, and Don Was on upright bass was an added surprise. Sammy Hagar was a great MC and remains a terrific frontman. REO (I saw them open for Traffic in about 1975) with Kevin Cronin had performed at the local casino and I could hear them from my front porch, but this was the first time I saw him, and he was very upbeat. Kudos to the other musicians I have not mentioned. The entire lineup with Taj front and center singing "Dock of the Bay" at the end was really an iconic moment. Don't miss it next year!

I'll keep going every year. Its always a great show. It's fun to see the artists having fun, playing whatever they want and then all jamming together. It's different than a regular concert,different in a good way!

This was my hisband and I s first time. Every person was amazing will definitely be coming back to this show

Great show but way too short, about 2 hours maybe 2 1/4. Unfortunately up in front seemed to be a lot of loud drunk people (men mostly), they disrespected Taj Mahal by shouting right over his performance. Pathetic. Great gig and will come back next year.

Year after year, one of the best shows put on by anyone; Sammy always gets the best musicians and it's truly a love fest for a great cause.....been too all 5 and plan on continuing....

I can't wait for next year. To see if this show can be topped. I am a big Sammy Hagar fan and Chickenfoot... But the whole show was impressive !!!! And the cause it was for is even better...... So happy to be a part of it.

Enjoyed the show. Would have liked to have gotten a t-shirt, but there was no merchandise being sold. That was disappointing. Looking forward to next year.

The Fillmore never disappoints. Very special evening seeing so many icons jamming on stage together for a good cause! Absolutely enjoyed it and want to go again next year!

This event was very nice. Different from his concerts with Wabos, Circle and Chickenfoot ,but no less enjoyable. Sammy interacted with crowd an his family on stage. The music was excellent. I would go again .

This is my favorite way to see Sammy Hagar. It's intimate and you hear songs that you don't ordinarily hear at Sammy/The Circle/Chickenfoot shows. Redhead forever!

Definitely not what I anticipated from a Sammy show. The Red Rocker didn't rock at this event. Came away very disappointed. You have to be a die-hard Sammy fan to have enjoyed this show.

GREAT SHOW ALL THE WAY AROUND. WHEN THE PERFORMERS ARE HAVING JUST AS MUCH FUN, IF NOT MORE FUN THEN YOU, YOU KNOW ITS AN AWESOME SHOW!!!!!!! THIS IS PURE ROCK & ROLL AT ITS BEST.

I love Sammy and enjoy seeing him, however I am ready for a new playlist. This is the 3rd time he has done the 4 decades of rock . Also the playlist have been almost identical the last 3 times he has played in St. Louis. I would like to see some old Sammy, pre Van Hagar. Some songs he never performs anymore such as , Summer Nights, Finish What You Started, and Where Eagles Fly. Would love for him to include Red and Plain Jane. Please Sammy just mix it up next year. I m a true fan so I love seeing you but would like something different next time.

The show was AWESOME!! Amphitheater was great,very well organized,all that worked there were extremely nice! Well worth the 5 hour drive from Iowa!
