Shinee

The most incredible experience I have ever had. Not only was SHINee charismatic and energetic despite their travels during the weekend, but the fans were amazing. The cheering was so loud you could feel the love they had for the group, and the emotions were equally reciprocated. They must come back for a full concert or even another fanmeet. This was long over due and needed.

Shinee is the best hands down, but please comeback again, I will follow you everywhere

My daughter has been crazy for Shinee for 8 years, starting at age 11. This trip to Chicago was her graduation present and a huge surprise for her. She has high functioning autism, and never asks for anything and expects nothing. This was a most magical, life fulfilling trip and experience for her and now *I* am a Shinee fan too. Isabelle loves Key best, btw! :)

So let me start of by saying getting there was complete hell on earth, but a missed flight, 2 plane rides, and 1 taxi later I made it and it was worth all the hassel. The atmosphere from just pulling up at the venue was amazing. The show had more than what was promised and SHINee's performance was spectacular as expected. Props to subkulture for everything running do smoothly. The host was funny and great at keeping the crowd lively during costume changes.

SHINEE put on a magnificent performance! The stage is small & their dances are vibrant & they managed to make it work & seem flawless. The charades set was hilarious & they were so gentle &kind to the fans on stage. We even have a new fan catchphrase: "She said tiger!" Their dancing was incredible & their voices were amazing.

I just went to their fanmeet a few days ago and HELLO post concert depression. I had the time of my life, SHINee and Subkulture made this event one I will never forget. I wish them both happiness and success in all their endeavors. PLEASE COME BACK TO THE STATES!!

My first time seeing SHINee live, and they were everything I could've possibility imagined and more. I didn't think I would, but I cried so much when they opened with Everybody I could barely see.

Yeah this really isn't a review, sorry not sorry, but I love SHINee so much, if I get a good seat I will throw up. You think I'm exaggerating, I'm not.

An amazing Pop/ElectroPop band from So. Korea. First debuted in 2008, released their 2nd full album earlier this year. If you like Korean pop such as Super Junior, 2PM, etc you will enjoy SHINee.

This fan meet was everything I had hoped for. I know they were tired. They had a long, busy week. Toronto, LA and then Chicago in three days!?!?! I don't know how they do it. They are so dedicated and hardworking and it was so nice to see them so playful and having fun. SHINee is like no other artist in the industry. They are incredibly humble, kind, and loving. I always knew they were special but being there live and in person, you can see and feel how unique they really are. There is this aura that they give off that is overwhelming and comforting and can bring a smile to any face. They are truly heaven sent. I can't wait to see more from them. I will continue to support them in everything they do. I am so blessed and grateful for this experience. I will always remember and cherish it for as long as I live. Definitely the best day of my life.

The SHINee Fan meet was wonderful. It was great to see them up close and hear them sing and watch them dance live. They were so full of energy even though they must have been tired from all the traveling in such a short time.

Subkulture Entertainment couldn't have done a better job of setting up SHINee's first fanmeet in the USA. Even though fans were nervous about the ticket sales, worrying that SHINee wouldn't sell out/wouldn't have a big enough turnout, Shawols swooped in and surprised everyone by showing up from all corners of the US (Some even from out of country!), almost filling the whole venue. SHINee was beautiful and perfect, of course. They kicked off the show with Everybody, then they introduced themselves in (WONDERFUL) English, and sat back to watch the Shawol fan video that Subkulture helped compile for them. Key was sassy as ever, Jonghyun was a tiny ball of pink fluff, Taemin was bright and mischievous like usual, Minho was TRYING SO HARD TO ENGLISH, and Onew looked a little tired but nonetheless was his usual awkward self. Props to Subkulture for picking out a fantastic MC/Host: the host of this event was an awesome guy who had a great attitude and who did a great job of interpreting, Korean for SHINee and English for the Shawols. The crowd was so turnt the whole time. We never lost energy, and fans were screaming the whole way through. There were some more fun events: SHINee had a Q&A with questions submitted by the fans, SHINee played a game of charades with 20 lucky fans that got to join them onstage, and there was an aegyo punishment to follow for the losers of the charades game. (Taemin won! Onew and Minho tied in last: Minho's aegyo punishment was gorgeous.) They performed three more songs, then came back out for an encore to perform View. THE FANCHANTS WERE SO STRONG WITH VIEW. SHINee mentioned that they were surprised and honored that the fans knew their songs so well. Of course we do, SHINee!! We held up our banners at the very end: the message was very touching. In SHINee's song "Selene 6.23," there's a line that roughly translates to "I hold out my hand for you but I can never reach you," and SHINee has hinted that this song is directed towards international fans, since we're so far away from them. So our banners had a message in Korean that translated roughly to: "You held out your hand for me and you finally reached me". SO PRECIOUS!! Jonghyun (Who, by the way, wrote the lyrics to Selene 6.23) actually took one of the banners to keep. As far as merchandise and fanprojects/organization and pre-event lineup goes, everything was about as well done as it was expected to be. There was a little confusion over the fanlights that many fans pre-ordered from Subkulture, what with a separate line for merchandise, but it was so long that at the end of the line nobody really knew what they were in line for. But that was the only fault I could find--everything else was generally well-organized. Staff was relatively polite, too. All in all--great fanmeet, I'm honored I was able to attend SHINee's first USA Solo event, and I hope they come back soon!!!

It was an awesome night! I drove from FL just to see SHINee. The night was all that I could have wanted. I'd definitely do it again!! The staff at the venue were all pleasant (even if some looked a little shocked with how loud we all were lol)

This was one of the best fanmeetings of my life. SHINee opened up with an amazing performance of their song Everybody and the boys ended the show with their hit song View. From start to finish this fanmeet was full of high energy and great vibes between SHINee and we the fans.

This event was awesome! I hope SHINee gets to return to the U.S. soon (preferrably in the southeastern states next time, but Chicago was a cool place to visit). Seeing them live was an unforgettable experience, but it namely helped reaffirm in my mind that these guys are just guys in their 20's doing what they love. It's motivating me to stick to what I love rather than not at least trying to achieve my dreams. I'm sure they were super tired, but you could definitely tell that they gave it their all. I wish I could have been one of those lucky ladies who got to go on stage with them to play charades, but I still was happy just having the awesome seat/view that I managed to get. You could genuinely tell that they were happy to be there and shocked that we even knew the songs. The fangirls'/fanboys' cheers were so deafening that they had to turn up the music and mic volume just to make sure that we heard them while they were performing. It was nice getting together with that many Shawols, and I would totally do it again! Key, we're holding you to your word that you boys will return ;D

The fanmeet blew away all expectations! The boys were beautiful, engaging, smart, funny and sooooo appreciative. They performed more numbers than expected and they were AMAZING! The venue was also spectacular - a beautiful theater with great acoustics and the biggest chandelier I've seen since "Phantom of the Opera".

The ticket sales were a little confusing, with better seats not showing up immediately but later on. Since this was my first time with TIcketmaster, I learned a lesson. Then the ticket delivery was prompt and I had no problem at the venue. There were enough of notifications before the event but not when the tickets became available (?). Now, the SHINee Fanmeet in Chicago was AMAZING! The energy was supercharged, the fanchants were super-loud, the boys performed our favorites and promised to come back, Mission accomplished.

that's it. the title says it all. please bring them back again. they are the epitome of happiness and good vibes. i waited 6 years and traveled hundreds upon hundreds of miles for this and it was all worth it. that's got to say something.

This was my first fan meet experience, so I have nothing to compare it to! But may I say it was quite memorable! Shinee was amazing (as per usual). The venue was very accommodating. Initially I'd like to thank SubKulture Entertainment for coordinating the event, and the Rosemont theatre for agreeing to host them!

I'm so glad I was able to see SHINee in person! This fanmeet was great, the guys are so sweet and adorable! I plan on seeing them again, so I hope they come back to the US soon!

The show was amazing! The mc was awesome at getting the audience even more hyped, and did a great job at translating. The boys were so handsome and kind and funny! The best part was singing along to their songs! Im still having postfanmeetdepression.

The fan-meet was awesome. SHINee was amazing. I know they were probably tired from California and Canada engagements but you couldn't tell from their performance. So much energy!!! Their vocals and choreography were excellent!!! The question and answer segment was very cute and enjoyable. I also liked the charades (but not as much).

Had a ton of fun and playing games and interacting with the members made the event feel personal. Everything was well organized and there was a good balance of asking questions and performances!

This was my first SHINee event and this fanmeet was simply incredible. The boys sang so many songs, I didn't think that there would be that many. It was so nice to be able to hear them speak and answer questions, and play charades with the fans. The MC they selected to translate and run the show was EXCELLENT. The show could have gone very badly if he wasn't there to lead things and do that translating for them. It was very professionally done. It was so sweet to hear them speak in English too. Hopefully any future events that SHINee plans here will be scheduled by the same team that handled this one because it was just so wonderful.

OMG...I am so happy I went to this! First off...I am happy I got a ticket when I did because all the close seats where taken. But honestly, any seat would have been great. I am not even a super fan and it was absolutely incredible. The crowd was loud, the boys were funny, and it was the perfect night.

I am so grateful that I got to see SHINee. They said they are definitely coming back! I liked that they performed some of their songs, did a Q&A, and played charades with 20 lucky fans! I am surprised that the venue did not sell out, maybe it was because it was on a Sunday, but SHINee is so busy this was the only day that they could fit their fan meet in their schedule. I love you SHINee!

I was thinking "Fanmeet" was just another word for "concert", but it was actually a chance to get to know the members of the group. They showed a few videos, interviewed the group's members and played charades with a few fans selected from the audience. It was a fun time, but I really wished they sang more. I think they only sang 6 songs. If you are a die hard fan, you will love it. If you kinda like them, it is still worth it. This audience was a mixture of all races and ages. it was great! There were Asian, White, Black, Hispanic, Muslims, children and elderly. The oldest woman who played charades was 73!

SHINee is an amazing group and this show was absolutely the best. Their performances were fabulous. I feel amazingly lucky to have been there. I loved every minute of it. Go see them if you ever get the chance.

SHINee was absolutely INCREDIBLE!! I was so happy I could be a part of heir first US debut. It was truly magical to be in a theatre so full of love for these boys. It was unlike any concert I've ever been to and I would go again 1000 times over. Love SHINee. Love Everything!!

Finally seeing SHINee in person is a dream come true! I am happy to have been part of SHINee World that day! Shawols are such precious people! And so were SHINee!

My review has two parts. For SHINee themselves, they did an amazing job! The emcee explained how they had come from Seoul to Toronto to Los Angeles and now Chicago: all in only three days, and so they must have been exhausted, but you certainly couldn't tell. They gave the songs, dances, Q & A, and games all their energy and personality and talent. They sang Hello, Replay, View, Lucifer, and Sherlock, and were fantastic. The audience couldn't stop screaming with excitement. So for the SHINee members, I give them an A+. The second part of my review is for the organization of the event itself. It was very disorganized. There were at least four different lines to get in to the venue and it was a big mess inside, as well. Plus the emcee was terrible. He didn't have an appealing personality, didn't seem enthusiastic, kept interrupting the guys when they were talking (Dude! We didn't come here to hear YOU talk!), and people in the audience who spoke Korean said that he only got the interpretations correct about 75% of the time, so it left me wondering what we missed! I wish they had gotten a better emcee, and that they had been more organized during the process of letting everyone in, handing out the merchandise, and getting everyone seated. It was pretty chaotic. Also - this made me so mad: There were 20 people picked to go on stage to play charades with SHINee, and the way the production company picked the people was just choosing people that were waiting there at noon (seven hours before the show). That was totally unfair. A lot of people couldn't be waiting there that early. They should have chosen people randomly so that everyone had a chance to be on stage. Anyway, I would definitely recommend another SHINee fanmeet or concert, but I hope they hire a different company to run the event.

AMAZING. It was a little slow to get in to the venue, but the sound was great, the fans were amazing, i got to talk to some of the staff and they were wonderful as well. SHINee are perfect human beings.

This event was fantastic! The fans were in great spirits and the group was so honored by the love they were shown in Chicago. This was a party that should have endured for at least another hour. Can't wait for them to come back to Chicago.

It was a Fanmeet, not a concert, so I didn't know what to expect. If you ask me, this was even better. I didn't get to go on stage and I didn't have super close seats but I was still in heaven. I loved the interactions with them and I was just happy to be able to be in the same room. They are always so kind and cheerful. They definitely showed that here. Their performances were phenomenal as to be expected. Thank you SHINee...~

It was unforgettable! Exceeded my expectations. My first kpop concert/fan meet and I wouldn't have had it any other way. Amazing to say I was there at their first solo us show. I'm truly hoping they come back and soon! Definitely the way to introduce this type of music to the U.S. They interaction with the fans mixed with the concert aspect was perfect. I loved that they put the house lights on the whole time unless the were singing. They were able to glance around and see all us shewols. Much love. Xx

Me and my best friend drove all the way from Chicago through the snow and sleet for this concert and had to leave at 2:45am to drive back the next morning, and it was WORTH IT. I have never been to such an exciting, engaging, quality concert. SHINee are legends, and the energy and talent they brought to the stage was unbelievable. The Sony Centre was also great--parking was pretty convenient, the downtown location meant we could explore all day before the event, and the small (for a kpop show) auditorium meant we got pretty good seats for a good price. Only issue--I don't think the Sony Centre was ready for kpop fans. The doors only opened an hour before the show, by which point there was a line wrapping around the theater, the block, and down the street. The concert started late because of this :(. Also, they had technical difficulties playing the VCRs and even with mics at one point.

SHINee. SHINee... Man do that shine. They have to be eating CDs for breakfast, lunch, dinner, everywhere in between. Their vocals are just so perfect!! AND IF YOU DARE SAY MINHO CAN'T SING YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT. All of them are amazingly talented in the vocal and dance department. It was such an amazing night....other than the technical problems. It was nothing on SHINee's end and of course they handled it amazingly. It's just Sony Center didn't seem prepared for the gods. The VCR in the beginning was restarted a couple of times 'cause the video stopped and the sound kept going. Of course Shawols were cheering to make up for it but it was still a little disappointing. And then throughout the show, I saw them keep switch mics with each other - probably because they died. I just wish Sony was prepared a little more and triple checked that everything worked before the show started. Taemin apologized, Minho apologized, Key apologized (Onew and Jjong were changing) and I wish they didn't have to on their first tour here.. BUT overall it was the greatest night ever. Blessed by the gods!!

This is biased because I would have loved it even if they just stood around for 3 hours messing around.

I've been to countless music festivals, 30+ concerts, and 4 kpop concerts and this show was by far the best I have ever been to. The vocal stability and unwavering confidence exuding from the members was amazing. They really are a legendary group with fantastic stage presence and would recommend a SHINee World Concert to anyone.

SHINee is INCREDIBLE!! They're voices, choreography and energy are on point!! They are gods!

The concert was so fun and the guys were so energetic. The venue and sound crew had a lot of issues, but SHINee was good humored about it. I hope they come back next year!

Shinee was amazing with the audience and the fans. They were very proactive and interactive. The only down side to the experience is that the media people were blocking the view for most of the show. They were standing in the aisle and front and block the view to the stage. I had great seats but miss a good portion of the intro video and such. I wish they would have stay seated or was elsewhere that was not blocking the audience. Standing for an entire fan meeting event in order to see over people is not ideal. However, I will definitely see Shinee again when they come back!

This was my first time attending any event that was k-pop related and to have it be with SHINee is beyond what I could have imagined. I was screaming, crying, and laughing, it was a mess lol But SHINee themselves are of course great performers and I was privileged enough to be able to go and see that. I have been obsessing over them through my electronic screens for years and to see them live made me realize that dreams do come true! I only hope that I can see them again in the future to make more happy memories :DDDD

The line to this event was long but it surprisingly moved fast. While walking in line they gave out free onew and shinee 8th anniversary banners, some shinee cards and balloons. We easily found our seats which had a great view of the stage! Genuinely an amazing night and It was certainly a night I'll never forget!

It was really amazing to see SHINee here in the US! Even my seat from way back in the middle of the balcony had a pretty good view of the stage. The MC was also really good and the sound system was nice and clear. I would definitely love to see SHINee perform here again.

Shinee was exceptional! My first kpop experience with my all time favorite group, the fanmeet was spectacular and you could tell home much they enjoyed seeing the American fan base. I wish it would of lasted longer but all in all its a experiment I will never forget. I really hope they come back to the U.S soon and do a full tour across the states, but even if it's another small gathering it will be well worth it

I honestly never thought I would get to see SHINee here in the US, and that I would have to fly to Korea to even see them perform. So when this event was announced, I knew I couldn't miss it for the world. It was the most amazing experience I've had. It was so much fun and well organized. I'm thankful that I was able to be apart of SHINee's first solo US fanmeet. SHINee are everything I imagined they were and more. I hope they come back soon. Seeing them once just isn't enough.

I was skeptical because I didn't know what a fanmeet entails but Shinee was amazing! The games were fun to watch. All the fan engagement and service were unforgettable. Hoping they can come back to the US for a full concert soon!

My seat was not great, I was pretty much all the way in the back on the floor level. Either way, it was fantastic. I still can't believe it actually happened still. If you're going, please splurge on the expensive tickets to get any decent seat. The stage was small, but SHINee of course performed very well. I can't wait until they're back again.

I had so much fun. The event was organized and went very smoothly. All of the fans were extremely happy with it. Of course SHINee performed beautifully as well. 10/10 for sure

SImply phenomenal. I enjoyed that it was a fanmeet and not a concert because the audience got to have a more personal interaction with the artists than if they had been performing the whole time.

SHINee is the best!! I have been waiting for this event like forever, and it turned out to be so good, although time-wise the Fanmeet is only two hours. I wish it had been longer!

This fanmeet was the best night of my life. I sat in the way back of the floor but even so, I had an amazing time. The MC was marvelous, the event was organized, and SHINee was amazing. They are even better in person than through a screen. Everyone should see these guys once in their life. The Q&A was hilarious, the game of charades was hilarious, these guys travelled to 4 different places in 3 days without a single break and still had so much energy. Best performance/event I ever went to. I hope they hold a concert some time soon. <3

It was a pure honor to be at Shinee's first fanmeet. I can't believe they are actually real. Minho was mischievous at times which I appreciated. I loved Jong hyun light pink hair it really suits him. Taemin was adorable as always. Onew was a really great sport during the fanmeet game. I died when Key asked where we get all of our shinee merchandise...EBAY lol! I will never forget this awesome time. Meeting other fans who enjoy and support Shinee as I do was so fun. I really hope they com back. Please come bask SHINEE <3!!

This was my first event at the Rosemont but I was immediately impressed. Shinee was so much better than I even imagined it would be. I really hope that they will come back soon. Their performance was spectacular and the interaction between them and their fans was really special. I hope they could tell how glad we were to have them here.

It was a fan meet. I wish it could have lasted a bit longer. I miss SHINee. Hopefully they will come back again next year and give a full concert.

really, although my seats weren't the closest or anything, it was extremely worth traveling and everything to go see shinee. their performances are amazing, and just how they are on the stage. as a long time fan of this group, I'm SO glad that they came to the US for a solo event FINALLY. if they come again, as Key promised, DO NOT HESITATE TO BUY YOUR TICKETS AND GO. it will be worth it, no matter where you sit or how far you have to travel!! they care about their fans and work very hard for us. so yeah, doesn't matter how big or little you are a fan of them, it would be worth going.

The SHINee Fanmeet was the reality I wanted. It was everything and more.

the entire experience was unreal. I never tbought shinee would come to Chicago but theyou made my dream come true. I read had an amazing time. They never disappoint. They performed my favorite songs and line up was different from Toronto. I lite had tears in my eyes. They said they were expecting a lot but even then we exceeded their expectations. We all had so much fun and they said they will definitely come back. The fans were amazing as well as they gave out banners, goodie bags with merchandise, and other projects as well. It was a blast and they really did an amazing job to entertain us. Tbh I liked it better than Exo'luxion although I love them too.

I was honestly not expecting something so grand as I was on the balcony. Despite that, I had the most AMAZING TIME!!!! Every song performed had me singing along and the game segment was so hilarious. I would love to be able to go see them again if they come to Chicago!

It was an unbelievable experience to see my ultimate bias group perform live for the first time! Being it's also the first solo event the SHINee has done in the U.S. ever is unforgettable. Their performances were perfection and I was soo glad to be able to go and see them. I met so many fellow Shawols and enjoyed myself immensely throughout the performance. I was so happy with the setlist, it has some of their most popular songs plus a more recent hit.
