I d already seen this tour show in Tampa a few months back and it was quite good, but the show at Revolution was outstanding! Spoon has a great catalog of tunes at this point and they mix it up and keep things moving the entire show. The sound, lighting, and venue were all fantastic.

Spoon Was Outstanding. I discovered them a couple years ago with their single "Do You" which led me to check out their whole catalogue and they are loaded with good tunes. Their style warranted checking them out live as I knew they'd be one of those bands that are even better live, and I was right... actually, I was wrong because they were even better than I expected. Excellent band all around. Great Musicians and Britt Daniel brings genuine, high quality energy. I ran into him right before the show and he was the most gracious rocker I've ever met, thanking me for coming and I responded that it was an honor, which it was to see this quality Austin band in S. Florida. The venue was interesting but way too small for a band this good. It was a bit disappointing that I had to fight for a view between taller people all show to see these guys play, but eventually I just gave up and treated it like a bar scene with perfect live music within it. I must say that a band like this should be playing in Amphitheatres, not smaller venues. They need to catch on to more music lovers and if they did, they are more than good enough to play arenas with a good opener. That's how great they are live and how good their music is. I'm a big Brittish Rock guy myself, with Radiohead being my favorite band, and these guys have the essence of some of the great English music that comes out and I am so proud that there is an American Band putting out quality stuff like they are. With the exception of Beck (although I do not like his newest LP), I think Spoon has the best overall catalogue for an American Band this century. Keep it up guys. I wish your band all the luck and success in the world. You Deserve It!

Have been a fan of Spoon for quite some time and they did not let their fans down. The folks running the sound system, however should learn that sometimes, "less is more". I was in the 2nd Mezz and had to endure far too high volumes by speakers aimed directly at us. They even kicked it up during the intermissions. Painful. Headache inducing. Hearing loss, no doubt. Deerhunter was very good, but feel they let their Animal Collective-like sound effects go on a bit too long, which when coupled with the "more is better" sound controllers, was a bit too much to endure, at times.

I thought that Spoon was amazing. However, their two opening numbers weren't quite up to par. It wasn't that deerhunter and then strange boys were bad just that it seemed like the wrong venue for them. Without being able to dance, you just kind of went into a trance which bordered on boredom for most of the opening numbers. Also, Spoon brought on a guest singer for two numbers who wasn't at the same level as they are musically. They need to find musicians their level to bring on tour with them (although I do love the White Rabbits).

The National is a really good place to see a concert. Spoon played a great set. The two opening acts, however brought the whole show down. Deerhunter, Strange Boys were not very good, and they played for a long time. Two and a half hours before Spoon started a 1h20m performance.

Spoon blew the roof off at the Richmond show at the National. Better than I expected. The level of musicianship with this guys was truly impressive-- one of the best shows I have ever been to. I had never before been to a show at the National-- great venue, nice setup with different standing areas and seats, great bar setup with nice beer selections, never had to wait for a beer even with a sold out show.

this us the fifth or sixth time I've seen spoon and they just keep getting better. they didn't play in chapel hill this tour so I drove 4 hours to see them and I would do it again. they do not disappoint with the exception that they have so many great songs now that it's impossible for them to play all of them. I was a liittle bummed they didn't play "trouble comes running" or " who makes your money" but loved their cover of The Damned's "love song". preferred the walkmen, white rabbit as opening acts.

The concert was nice n' loud, and the music was really tight. In fact it was so loud, that I had slight abdominal pain, and my back hurt, but it was all worth it. Of course, though, I was 10 feet away from the speakers! They played hits like "The Underdog", "Don't You Evah", and "I Turn My Camera On." They also opened with an Austin (Texas) band called "Black Joe Lewis", hence the frontman of the band was black, though I still don't know if his name is Joe Lewis, but it probably is. They had a saxophonist, a trumpetist (if that's a word??), and a hornist. They were guest musicians on the song "The Underdog", as the brass section.

Black Joe Lewis and the Honey Bears were the first band to play and they really warmed up the audience with their high energy and interaction with the crowd. The combination of playing upbeat funk tunes and talking to the audience between songs set a great atmosphere for the next performer (Anya Marina). Anya's two song set was short and sweet. She played a nice duet with a trumpet and ended her set with her song "Satellite Heart" featured on the New Moon soundtrack. Spoon's set included a wide variety of their songs but mostly catered to their latest album Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga. The lead singer even kept his cool when he broke a string mid-song. He simply pulled the string off and re-tuned the remaining strings all without missing a beat with the vocals. All in all the show was fantastic. They played a great encore and even included the horns section of Black Joe Lewis in a few songs.

Great performance from a great band. Too bad the crowd sucked. Spoon was spot on that night; They gave a precise, high energy performance with a set list that just kept on building. Although the Crystal Ballroom doesn't have the best sound, Spoon's onstage presence was enchanting, and the rock made it hard not to dance. At least for those that were participating in the great show that they were fortunate enough to attend. On the other hand, I felt sorry for the people that were OBVIOUSLY forced to be there. What torture it must have been to listen to such great music, performed so well. Good thing they had their cameras, and their three or four drunk friends to constantly snap pictures of, talk loudly to (in a sold out rock venue) and ignore the performers with. It was such a painful endeavor, in fact, that many of these unfortunates couldn't even bring themselves to bob their heads to the music, or clap after the songs. I wish I could apologize to Spoon in person for the widespread awful concert etiquette that was displayed. Instead I will encourage anybody that enjoys good music to see them. Spoon puts on a fun show. Their music is fantastic to dance to. C'mon Portland, bring your party hat next time.

I admit I was a little nervous by the messiness of the beginning of the show, especially "Cherry Bomb" which sounded to me like it was getting away on them. But it soon became clear that this brink of collapse approach is what allows Spoon to remain an invigorated band: loose, experimental and confident, it becomes exhilarating to witness it all come together. Which it definitely did soon after. Reliable live songs like "The Beast & the Dragon, Adored", and "Don't Make Me a Target" with their blissful instrumental moments led into exciting reworkings of old songs they long ago refined to perfection, so it's great to hear them played a little differently. The show reached a highlight for me with "Small Stakes". And the new songs sounded pretty terrific too.

I love watching live music. There is something truly amazing watching musicians play their music live and see the personality and relationship of the band members on stage.. But, Spoon seemed to take themselves really seriously. I saw three other bands perform during December to Remember and Spoon seemed to be having the least amount of fun on stage. And their special efffects...that "wa wa wa wa" that kept following his lyrics was just annoying and reminded me of 60's pyschedelic music and how much I hate it. I mean, they were professional and their set was "tight" but for me, personally, it didn't do much for me. I had more fun watching Hockey on Monday night. Oh, yeah, it also took them forever to get their butts on stage.

Great show. The Midland is always a good venue. Metric started earlier than scheduled, which was strange. But they were great. Spoon said they hadn't played a show in 4 months, but they sounded awesome. If you get a chance to see either of these bands, you should take it.

You can't go wrong with Spoon. You should LISTEN to The Bravery ONLY, once you get your eyes involved, it's hard to take them seriously. Cause really, the microphone swinging, hand clapping over the head, one legged trip over yourself dance, dragging microphone stand around while wearing slippery shoes . . .yeah, it's all been done before by the bands The Bravery is trying to mimic. So listen, but don't see live. Metric however, was amazing. Didn't know of the band going into the show, but they set the bar for the night, and no one else lived up to it. Excellent, passionate, and sincere energy, sound and dancing from their sexy leading lady. Metric is fantastic, their performance deserves 5 stars. Great rock show all the same, just get in the beer line when The Bravery comes up!

Saw Spoon for the fourth time on Thursday at the Midland (a lovely venue). Once again, they turned in a vibrant performance of soulful pop rock laced with catchy melodies and insistent, staccato guitar solos. (see, the rock critic in me is bursting to break free!) They only played a little over an hour, but they maximized every moment. Got a taste of three new songs, two of which have heard some radio play already. If those songs are any indication of the new album to come, then Spoon has another gem in the making. Speaking of gems, the hidden treasure of the night was "I Summon You." What a perfect tune! The Bravery sullied the stage before Spoon. Derivative. Static. Manufactured. Boring. It looked like they spent more time picking their outfits, primping their hair and assembling their poses than working on a performance. Although the singer clearly worked hard on his Robert Smith vocal impersonation.

Hockey was one of the best openers I've heard yet. And the band as a whole are adorable! Then Metric came on... Second time seeing them and the setlist was really similar to the first time, but even better than before! Sound quality at this venue was good for them. Plus Emily (and the whole band really) is really entertaining. Would have liked a few older songs played. After that The Bravery came on. Second time seeing them too. They were just as entertaining as usual. Sam is always all over the place, which is fun to watch. The setlist could have had a few older songs, but it was still a good list. And finally... SPOON! This was my first time seeing Spoon, and they did not disappoint. They had a great setlist, even if I didn't know a few of them...maybe because they were off their new album. Either way, they were extremely good live. Overall it was one of the best concerts I've been to. The bands didn't make the audience wait more than 30 minutes between acts. And when Spoon took a break they only took ten or 15 minutes rather than 30. Amazing.

I have been a fan of Spoon for nearly 15 years. I have been waiting for them to come to Las Vegas, so I was more than a little excited for this event. Britt Daniel has an unbelievable voice with amazing range. It's as good live as on their albums. I also loved that from the first riff, their songs were instantly familiar. My disappointment was they gave a bit too much free range to one of the keyboardists who was big into single-note, wall-of-sound, psychedelic arrangements. Fans of your music don't come to your shows to listen to this one keyboardist jam like you're in a garage. It bordered on annoying. Honestly, there were a couple times I had to plug my ears. I would have traded 30 minutes of that keyboarding crap for several additional songs from "Gimme Fiction" and "Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga". I was also a bit disappointed in the encore. I thought for sure they would play "You Got Yr Cherry Bomb" and they never did. This venue is great though. It's small enough to be intimate, but large enough not to feel crowded. I recommend getting a seat in one of the reserved seating areas and then if you want to dance, they allow you to go down to GA/the floor. It's a perfect venue. I have also seen The Shins and Black Keys at The Chelsea at The Cosmo.

The opener, Real Estate, was a nice, more mellow intro to the headliner, Spoon, which was the polar opposite. Spoon began their set with a Pink Floydesque eerie synthesizer intro, and then it was a blast of high energy. They kept their cool, mysterious sound going in between songs. The audience didn't know what was coming at them next. Overall, smooth, cool sounds mixed with intense energy. Why did it take me so long to see them?!

Great show on Sunday and was glad to purchase the tickets for the second time after their first show in Charlotte over the summer was cancelled due to a storm. AWESOME to see and hear them live and the band exceeded my expectations. I've been a huge fan for many years and this is one of the best bands playing these days despite big market radio stations not playing them much. Check them out live if you have the chance and I'm sure you'll be glad you did. Side note: The volume was WAY TOO LOUD for this show!!! I don't know if this issue was the crew's doing or maybe I'm just getting older but louder isn't always better. You don't need to be blasted out of the room in a small venue like the Fillmore. Ear plugs shouldn't be needed and I saw a fair number of people wearing them (I wish I had brought my own).

I couldn't believe how many songs Spoon played. They kept the energy going and played an excellent set list. Lots of older songs mixed in with the newer ones. Loved every second of it! Plus we got a double encore!! Amazing

Great show at a new intimate venue close to downtown. Great sound and lights. Spoon amazed. Played a great set mixed with new songs and favorites. I got lucky with parking but this area is like much of LA in terms of cheap and easy parking. Drinks prices were average for LA venue.

What a fantastic group of writers and performers. Britt sounded amazing, if a little low energy (he said he was sick but you could hardly tell). These guys are an amazing act. This was my first show at he Fox Theater, it's is a great venue, sort of the Fillmore without the apples. Good job.

This was my first time seeing SPOON as a whole, I saw Britt at his solo show back in October (which was also amazing). To make an epic story short, they put on a great show. They sounded fan-freaking-tastic and played a solid set of older classics and a few from their newest album "Transference". If you havent seen Spoon live, get it done. They will be in Seattle this April, its a bit of a drive but Its worth it!

This band never fails to put on a good show, and this one was no exception. What made it even better was the people we were seated next to were very friendly.

Wow!!! The setlist was off the charts! Spoon sure knows how to put on a show! Holly and I shook a tail feather the entire concert! I loved watching her dance :) Holly and I both put this show at one of the top concerts we have ever been to (and we have been to a bazillion shows!) The venue is great! We had a lot of space to dance. Thank you Spoon for a terrific evening!!! Hope you always remember us in Cincinnati!

I enjoyed the Spoon concert immensely. Their music with its percussion sound rocks! Britt Daniel is extremely talented and I was fortunate enough to enjoy a seat a few rows from the stage. Highly recommend!!

The show and the venue were great. There isn't a bad seat in the house, although my actual seat was broken in one corner making me slope to the left :) The opener was talented but very sleepy. Grizzly Bear sounded great. Spoon brought the energy and sounded great live. My only gripe would be the length of the show. I think every headliner should last at least 90 minutes, this show clocked in at 1 hour 15 minutes?

SPOON has such a wealth of material that it is hard to be disappointed at a concert; this one was no exception. Even though a massive storm system slightly delayed and therefore shortened the concert (i.e., no encore), Britt Daniel gave us the head up ahead of time instead of just walking off at the end. Grizzly Bear did a fine job, too. Great evening all in all!

Spoon were fantastic. Show shorter because of a storm, but they more than compensated with an amazing set list. Highly recommend seeing them.

Spoon delivers the goods. Whoever said rock is dead hasn't been to a Spoon show. No pretense; just great songs played well and with passion.

I've seen them a couple times now. Unforgettable live act. My only complaint is they never seem to play anything off of Sneaks.

The Antlers opened the show and I thought they were good, albeit a little slower than what I was in the mood for. Then, it took Spoon 25 minutes to start playing! I thought the purpose of an opening act was to get the crowd going for the main event? I love Spoon's music, but lost some respect for the band. They stopped right at 10:00 (even though they only played for 35 minutes) Didn't even stay for the encore....

My first concert, couldn't ask for a better one. I have been following Spoon more now after the concert. It was a great atmosphere, Spoon was really into it and was bring the crowd into it also. All around great first concert will never forget it. Will hopefully get to see them again here shortly.

After 22 years Spoon still continues to rock it live and bring the energy of a group of 18 year olds. Set list was great, light show had me in awe, but the musicianship is what made it great. This is a group of men that know how to play! Check them out of they come near!

Wow! Totally blown away by Spoon! The new album is awesome! "Inside Out" was really great! Was totally shocked that they played, "The Ghost of You Lingers" It was so intense and was one of my favorite songs on the set list!!!! We love the Madison Theatre and my girlfriend and I were lucky enough to snag a table with chairs during the middle of the show. We were right behind the sound girl, who had the most adorable haircut and a really nice neck ;) The sound was awesome, so she obviously knew what she was doing. We had the most wonderful time!!
