First off, venue was moved from Mesa AMpitheater to the Marquee Theater!!!! I love shows at the Marquee....very personable, no bad spot...acustics are AMAZING there too...Static-X...I LOVE THEM!! THey sounded just like a CD, but it was live...we got to see them after their set too! Tony even let us get pics with him...they are awesome. Mudvayne was great, the played my fave song from them, (which they did not do last time I saw them), which is "Determined"!!! Rocked!!!!!!! Suicide Silence I had never seen before, they are great guys, they hung out with us for awhile after the show....it was a wonderful event!

The turnout was much less than I would have thought, but it did not help that the sets were very short for the first four bands. BLS was disappionting, but Mudvayne put on a great show.

Starting with Suicide Silence, They were a relatively unknown band, But were extremely hardcore the screams were done right and the crowd play was excellent. Static-x was the main reason I went, and I was not disappointed, Wayne Static was excelling my expectations. Black Label was very good but I could have done without the 10 min solo, granted it was a good solo but would have been just as effective if it was a bit shorter. Zakk Wylde's interactions with crowd were good but a little over the top kind of showboating. Mudvayne was exemplary as always and the lights and sounds together just made the experience. Hellzapopin was good but I was disappointed with the fact that they couldn't do anything with fire, Maine's restrictions. Overall a wonderful concert and I would definitely see it again.

O.K., Last night I took my son, and a friend to the concert. I'm glad that Black Label showed up, because the other bands were terrible. The only shining moments of the other bands, were when Mudvayne sang Happy, and Do what You do. Other than that the only entertainment before Black Label were watching the people in the mosh pit. Thank God Zakk Wylde and the rest of BLS were there to make it a night worth watching.

The concert started off with Suicide Silence, your typical opening act. They were followed up by Static X. They did an amazing job on stage. They played too early in the order though and were thus, the crowd was not psyched up enough. Black Label Society was definitely a big joy for the crowd, but the songs weren't quite geared for the set list order. If BLS and Static X switched, the concert would have had much more energy. Mudvayne played great. The floor went wild and the songs were great for the concert. Chad was often out of breath, probably because of the huge furry monkey suit he was wearing. Throughout the concert sideshow Hellzapoppin performed various acts. Betty Bloomer was absolutely drop dead gorgeous. Easily the best part of the concert in my opinion. Jason the Penguin boy was awesome and entertaining. Mister Om was mesmerizing and Zamora was entertaining, but a little slow with his act.

From beginning to end this was the best concert I have ever been to and I include ozzfest in the comparison. All the bands were awesome and put on a set that really got the crowds attwbtion and built excitment. Suicide silence was a band that I had never heard before this event, I am now a fan. Between sets hellzapoppin put on a sideshow that you have to see to believe. See this show! Its the best thing going.

Not a big fan of the screamers(Mudvayne and Suicide Silence). But Static-X was tight. BLS was the clincher for me. They definitely should be the headliners on this tour. Zakk Wylde is a multi-talented genius that is an almost impossible act to follow! SMDF!

The venue we were at, i had never been to before. it was small if you wanted to be personal, but big enough to wander around in. everyone sounded great! if i take another road trip to see a show again, i will definitely go there again. static-x played some singles, but mostly songs you had to have to cd to know what they are playing. i enjoy that so much more, it makes it to were they can play just about anything and still rock! mudvayne was great also, it was the 4th time i saw them. they started very strong, but they played the same singles at the end.

After getting over the fact that Dope was not going to be playing and Black Label Sociely has dropped out as well, I decided that nothing was doing to deter me from being up there while Static X and Mudvayne rocked the venue. Having never heard of teh two remaining bands in the tour, I did not know what to expect, but what I discovered was the sheer amazingness that is Bury Your Dead. I thourghly enjoyed them as they played their set, and was enthrawled to see the lead Singher Myke out promoting merch and meeting with the fans. Overall, despite the missing bands, I enjoyed this event. It was well worth the 8 hour riound trip drive and I would sure as hell do it again!

I had tix for 08/28 in San Jose but that show got canceled. Strangely the show in Bakersfield 08/29 was still scheduled. Why did the San Jose show get canceled if it wasnt because Black Label had to withdrawal from the tour? Nevertheless my wife and I bought tix and booked a hotel in Bakersfield, drove the 4 hours from Stockton and made damn sure we didnt miss out. The Statix-X set was entertaining and Mudvayne just always throws down every time. Bury Your Dead did not perform due to travel issues. So a lineup that originally was Suicide Silence, Bury Your Dead, Dope, Static-X, Black Label Society, and Mudvayne turned into Suicide Silent, Static-X and Mudvayne. It didnt feel like Static-X or Mudvayne played unusually long sets to make up for the lineup being so thin. Overall I'm a die hard metal fan and I wanted to see Mudvayne perform so we made it happen however it's a bummer that a tour with such potential ended in a train wreck in terms of the lineup. Betty Bloomers from t he side show was a very pleasant way to kill time between sets, can we have her and just her perform next time please?

WOW . . I've seen Static-X play before and they are always Awesome(!) but I was a little worried about Mudvayne (not the music just the experience). They were much better on stage then I had anticipated, much better. I'm just glad that they had in between shows from that side show group (sorry I can't remember their name), it made the wait much more enjoyable then just the dead silence on stage from the crazy band crew. If they play together again (especially at the Sunken Garden! a much better location) I will definitely go back again. Awesome show!!!

The whole show was great from start to finish, but Static-X seemed to bring the best performance to the table. Having never heard of Suicide Silence I was also impressed at the energy level they brought to the stage. Seeing Black Label Society for the first time and always enjoying their music was great. Zach Wylde played several jaw-dropping solos. Static-X played their popular new songs and all of the classics making it worth the trip alone. Through on top of the show an incredible performance by Mudvayne, and it was one of the best shows I have seen!

The concert as a whole was pretty damn good. Bury your Dead was awesome. The crowd was really into them. I thought it was cool that the singer took the time to take pictures with fans. The next band up completely sucked. It was Suicide Silence. Their music was awesome but their frontman was a complete (expletive). A lot of people weren't even feeling that one. Static X was so awesome. They were consistently good. Completely awesome. I have nothing bad to say about them. Mudvayne was pretty good. They weren't consistently good though. I really wanted to see Black Label Society. They're the whole reason I went. I really hope Zakk pulls through. I'm routing for him. All in all I would recommend that if you have a chance to go to the tour then go. You'll have a lot of fun and you won't regret it. Oh and that freak show that was on in between concerts needs to be dropped. They were boring. All you heard was Boo's when they came on.

The whole show was totally awesome. With such a diverse group and style of musical talent at the show. Suicide Silence, Static X, Black Label Society, Mudvayne. This is the first time seeing Static X and Mudvayne. What a great show. Only there was such a small showing of people. Maybe because of the hard economic time we are in right now. This did allow for a more indivdual experince which was super. I would go again if they were to do it again. thanks to all the bands that were there. Music is the greatest form of therapy as David Draiman of Disturbed said during the MAAW IV tour. Which was also a great show. Again Thanks for keeping metal alive.

The Pedal to the Metal tour is probably one of the best shows of the year to come through San Antonio. Mudvayne, Static-X, and Suicide Silence delivered a non-stop beating of heavy metal, and Sunken Gardens fit the concert perfectly. Static-X delivered the best performance, but Mudvayne was definitely close. Suicide Silence was just insane. Bury Your Dead was OK, but nothing like the other bands. There was also this sideshow review called Hellzapoppin, but I didn't really care for it; it didn't take away from the music so that's all that mattered.

this concert was awesome, static-x and mudvayne are 2 of my favorite bands of all time, and i got to see them both. first of all i was disappointed that the show started earlier than what was said all over the internet and the tickets. Bury your dead was already in the middle of their set when i walked in. their show was good. not many people there at the time, but they sounded good. next up was suicide silence. they sounded the best out of everybody there. you could hear guitars, bass, vocals, drums all clearly. unlike everybody else where everything wasn't lined up audibly. static-x was next and they were 3rd best sounding. i was excited the most for their set the most so i enjoyed it more. Wayne static was a lil hard to hear his vocals. dope didn't show up as originally planned which made me angry. black label society was next. i was up front for this show and it was cool. they sounded good except zakk's vocals were a lil hard to hear. mudvayne was last and they played a good show but their guitars were up too loud and you could barely hear vocals or bass. Hellsapoppin showed in between sets and it was alright. ive seen it all before on Ripley's believe it or not

Great show all together. Wish I had known it was a non smoking venue. I couldnt leave the the place the whole time and they diddnt have a smokers area to go too. Alot of people resorted to breaking the rules and smoking inside witch I think is much more dangerous for all. Other than that I would recommend this show to anyone although some of the acts and lyrics should be considdered when bringing smaller children. Thank you to all the bands for putting soo much energy into the performances and all the guys in Black Label for a great show.

I went to hear Mudvayne and they were awesome, in the heavy suit despite the hot weather which surprised me. Black Label Society was amazing and the guitarists so talented playing with the guitars over their heads. Many long guitar solos and the music was definitely brutal like what I expect of this tour. Static X rocked and really started it all for me. The other bands were new for me but I go to hear new talent as well and I am never disappointed. Mudvayne has the most lethal moshing I have yet to witness. Yes it's metal like I love it. Go, and be a part of it, get in there and jump up and down. I do, and I'll be back.

The tour at my venue just was not advertised enough; that was the least amount of people for a show in Reading,PA I ever saw. I was also very disappointed with the turn out of Black Label Society's Doom Crew. Am I the only one in the immediate Reading Area that follows BLS ?! I never heard of Suicide Silence Before that night. If you like thrash metal(loud and fast), this bad is for you. I've heard of Static X before, and after seeing them- I will be buying their cd's !! Black Label....That's really why I was at the show !! They did alot of hard rock songs I liked and ones I never heard them do at a show before!! But an hour of play time? Whether you're a follower or not of BLS, you cound understand every word and the bro's were all over the stage(thanx Nick, I finally got some great pix w/you n JD)!!! Now, Mudvayne...never really listened to their music before, so I figured I'd record their first song. Extremely loud and I could not understand the lyrics(but others knew them, lol). Unfortunately, I had to be at work by 11:30 and could not stay any longer(10:19,I left). I don't blame any of the bands if they NEVER play Reading,PA again. I would have cancelled the event if I was Black Label(or the others), I bet not even 1,000 tickets were sold. Haha, I had 4 tix and only used 1(others cancelled out on me)...I could not even give tix to anyone outside venue, as there was no one to give them to. I would see the tour again if it were near here on a weekend, only because of Static X and BLS. Four bands and a sideshow for $43.15, that's a steal. 3 bands and Black Label Society is phenominal !!! SDMF !!!

The show was definately very well done, all the bands performed their best and knew how to pump up the crowd. Bury Your Dead and Suicide Silence definately got the crowd going in the begining of the show. Static-X performed one of their best shows I've seen, that performance definately makes me want to see them again. Black Label Society was of course a normal crowd pleaser, their music rocked the crowd and the 10-15 guitar solo by Zakk Wylde was an awesome addition to an already good set. Then Mudvayne also put on a good performance as usual, Chad stole the crowd and rocked all the way. Overall this show really makes me want to see them all again. Listen to all their music on the drive home, just couldnt get enough of all of their music. The side show intermissions were very interesting and held the attention and helped past time until the next set started. A JOB VERY VERY WELL DONE!

The show was fantastic. All of the bands and the Hellzapoppin' folks put on an absolutely terrific show, but I was VERY EXTREMELY disappointed that Mudvayne only played for 1 hour. They were the main reason I went to the show, and for the main act to play for the same length of time as the opening acts was a big let down. Mudvayne is one of my favorite bands, and they do notstop in new England very often, so I make it a point to go to their shows every time the come around, and to only get 1 hour of time to play.......very disappointing.

This is the third time I see Mudvayne and their show keeps getting better. This band is raw. There were a few times where I had to stop and catch my breath. I thought I was gonna pass out! The songs are amazing and they sound even better live than in the album. Mudvayne is easily one of the bands that will blow your mind and once you see them you become an instant fan. I thought the song selection was awesome: some new stuff as expected ( die to the new album ) but some of the old stuff that brought back old feelings of when I first heard them with their first album. I was soaking wet with sweat, I lost my voice and my ears were ringing for about two days. I loved it! The pits were sick! every0ne was going nuts and Mudvayne did not disappoint!!!!! Not to mention getting warmed up but the other bands including Static X. They guys from Static X put up such a sick show too!!! Again, Static X just blew your mind with their most recent stuff but bringing back some of the old songs ... I was blown away!!!!! This show is one of the best shows I've been to in a long time. It felt awesome being so close to the bands. small venue, HUGE acts, loud bands. I can't wait to see anyone of these bands again!!!!

The Pedal to the Metal Tour was great! i loved it! Every band put on a really good show. I was unaware that Bury Your Dead had a different singer other than their original, but it was OK cause thier new singer is DAMN GOOD! Suicide Silence, Static-X, and Mudvayne made my day.

sound was perfect for static-x...they also played a longer set since bls was unable to show. Mudvayne was incredible, however, there were some sound issues during the first couple of their songs...not their fault though. Only real problem was that sunken gardens made us purchase tickets before we could get food, beer or WATER...lines for tickets were horrendous...don't know why they had tickets as a requirement...never saw that at sunken gardens before...better change that policy!

The first band, Bury Your Dead, delivered great enthusiasm. As for the second, I could've went to get some drinks for the next act, Static X. Static proved to be one of the main reasons you will come to this show. As for Mudvayne, well they seem to be the only band that can truly whip a crowd into a frothy mix of mayhem and chaos. Overall, the show was awesome. Well worth the wait. Albiet, it was dissapointing to miss BLS, but I will definatly catch them on the rebound. Enjoy the tour folks!...

After Black Label Society dropped off my enthusiasm was at a bit of a low for the show but we still planned on making the show, with the threat of rain lingering all day we were concerned about the possibility of Sunken Gardens becoming a mud bowl, just because the headliners name starts with "mud" doesn't mean we wanna play in it...anyways Static-X and Mudvayne both put on solid sets as always, kept the crowd moving, the Hellzapoppin freak show set was LAME, mild low brow entertainment while the roadies swapped sets, lame fire spitting and teasers of topless women enthralled the testosterone laden sheep that filled a majority of the crowd. I give Hellzapoppin 2 stars, does Penguin Boy get groupies?

I got there before static x came on stage, once they started playing you were not really able to make out the lead singers words as his audio was really messed up. the music that was made as far as instrument wide was good, but again i could not make out what the lead singer was saying. mudvayne was the exact opposite, they came out kicking ass. the only draw back was that they played only for about an hour, the lead singer seemed to dry heave and really looked like he was going to throw chunks on stage. after he quit dry heaving they played one more song and they were gone.

This show rocked, it was so much fun! Static X definitely stole the show. My only complain would be keep the circus freaks out of it next time. Hellzapoppin did not deliver at all, nothing like they seem on their website.

It's hard to follow StaticX. More ppl need to open their eyes and realize that they are the Headliner and their set is always too short. they made the crowd go crazy once again. As far as Black Label Society dropping off..GOOD RIDENS!! the show was great!

This concert ROCKED!!!!! Great bands, reasonably priced beer, security was cool, parking was excellent....overall one of the best nights I've had. But most of all, watching my 38 year old husband be a kid again....PRICELESS!!!! On a sad note, Black Label Society had to drop out because Zakk is in serious health so it goes without saying that sucked, but our prayers are with him and hope he gets better soon.

First I will start by saying that I am a fan of all the bands that played this show. Now having said that. Black Label Society didn't even play. WTF? Why are they on my ticket and not playing the show? Bury your dead was really good. A lot of energy from those guys. They even took pictures and signed tons of stuff for all the fans. So props to Bury your Dead. Hard working band that knows what really matters to the fans. Static-x was good. Good as digitized metal bands go. Mudvayne seems to think that playing at near sonic boom volume is the way to go.They were loud that's for sure. I don't care for their new stuff at all,and they even managed to ruin my old favorites from the l.d.50 album. I would never pay money to see them again, unless they were playing with other bands that i like. This show would have been worth the money if BLS had actually played.

The bands kicked ass! The Venue was horrible though. Not only did the venue change but after recieving an email letting me know that it changed it did not inform me the time was changed also. Stood outside in 113degree weather for two hours. THE BANDS ROCKED!!!! What I didnt like about the show was the side show inbetween every band. It was repetitive and annoying. I went to see a thrash show not ripleys belive it or not. AND BLACK LABLE CANCELED!

We knew black label society wasn't going to be there. Then when we were there they announced a few others not going to play. Very disappointing, we drove 2 hours to this concert and wouldn't have gone if we'd known all the other bands weren't playing either.

I Was going to the Pedal to the Metal consert thinking it would be just ok and came out with an awsome experiance. I was realy wanting to see Mudvayne and Black Lable Society. But Black Lable was unable to show. It was nice going to a consert with a small venue. We had floor tickets so tthat made the experiance even more amazing. We were so close you could almost reach out and touch there hand. Of corse Mudvayne was awsome but that was my first time even herining Static X they killed with there stage presence. Im now in love with there songes. And for you men Hellzapopn was awsome they had bettey bloomers strip. I didnt care for the striping but that was just me other than that they were intertaining. Sucide Scilance i could of done without but still had very good stage presence.

MuDvAyNe was awsome as usual. I've seen them many times. MuDvAyNe's hometown is Peoria Illinois. My hometown is Princeton Illinois which is 50 miles north of Peoria, so I've had the priviledge of seeing a "hometown" band grow into one of the premeire metal bands going today. Static-X was amazing. Great set, strong stage presence, awsome sound. Sound crew did a great job. Very disapointed to have BLS drop off the tour 2 shows prior to the Bakersfield show. Really missed my guitar hero thrashing that bullseye Gibson. But I'll just be happy to get Zakk back in good health. Bury Your Dead also missed the show due to "bus trouble". It sucked that a 5-6 band event ended up being only 3. But the actsthat played really killed it. In a good way.
