This was not the first time I have seen James Taylor, nor was it the first time seeing Bonnie Raitt. It was the first time seeing them both together. What a show. They combined for over 3 hours of great music! The last time I saw JT, the music was great, but the audience engagement was lacking. Not so this time. Both the audience and the artists enjoyed the evening. After the initial encore, James quickly gathered his band to perform "one more song", clearly more than was intended. He did that not once, but twice, leaving the audience completely satisfied. Venue was good. I am not typically a fan of the Schott for concerts, but for this performance the sound was great!

I bought the tickets primarily for my wife, who is a big fan. JT was magnificent. Seems like all the artist I have recently seen who are in their 70's are even better than when they were younger. I digress. The music was surprisingly clear for the Key Arena. Taylor's stage show was very eye catching and intelligently matched the music. My highlight was watching Lou Marini (Blue Lou), from the Blues Brother's original band play along with Taylor. Taylor's stage presence and the way he engaged the audience was superb. I was bummed when the show ended, but glad I went.

The concert was great. The venue that I saw this in was perfect: cushioned seats with arm rests. Really enjoyed all of his older classics. The only negative comment I have is I really did not enjoy his cover songs. All of the greats made up for these duds.

Great band, great tunes, great show. James Taylor is an amazing artist and the only problem is that a two hour show isn't enough for all the great material he's written over the years. An added bonus is that he's also pretty funny when interacting with the public. An overall great experience.

I bought tickets for my husband who is a big James Taylor fan. I've always enjoyed James Taylor's music, but I wouldn't have called myself a fan. After his concert, I was blown away. One of the best concerts I've ever seen. James is so talented. He is humorous too, which I didn't expect and was a pleasant surprise! I would definitely recommend seeing him perform. This was one of the best concerts I ever attended. James Taylor played a wide range of his songs from old to new, from blues to rock. He played for almost 3 hours! The concert hall had comfortable seating and was easy to get to. The only downside was a loud attendee in the row behind us who thought he needed to sing along.

I have never been to a more unforgettable concert. It was so much more than I expected. My husband got me tickets for my birthday knowing I grew up listening and loving James Taylor. We went to Dallas for the concert. He had no opening act. It was James for 3 hours of heartfelt music. He interacted with the audience; even people walking up to the stage. He was in Texas and he recognized our state and love for all kinds of music. This is a concert I will never forget and I hope I have the chance to see him again. If anyone has the chance to go to a James Taylor concert, it is worth your time and money even in these financial times. I hope James stays healthy and rockin' for years to come.

James had 5 backup singers, a drummer, bass player, lead guitar, and one of the backup singers played violin. Musically the band was very tight, and the vocals were amazing. James stayed on stage during most of the intermission to talk to fans and sign autographs. He is an amazing talent, outstanding guitar player, vocalist, and you can tell he really likes what he is doing. The venue at Fairpark was my first time there. I would go again as it was large, but did not feel too large, like the Arena can feel. I was with three other people and they all enjoyed it very much.

I was totally impressed with James Taylor's musical ability. Of course, I knew he was good, but recordings just don't do him justice. I've been a James Taylor fan for years. I'm always amazed at how clear and clean his voice is. He's relaxed and you can tell he's up there enjoying himself. JT played all the ones we love, Fire and Rain, You've Got A Friend, and a somewhat toned down version of Steamroller. During intermission he hung around on the stage shook hands and gave out a few autographs. I was lucky enough to get a JT on my ticket stub. Great concert! Bonnie Raitt kicked it off with soulful blues and classic hits. Her voice and guitar haven t lost a thing over the years. She s the real deal. Her cover of Make Me An Angel pulled your heart out - a great performance. James Taylor started out a bit vocally weak but by song #3 he was in the groove and hammering his tunes and some covers. Great band, including Blue Lou Marini on sax. Did three encores including a duet with Bonnie. Epic stuff. The Xcel Center is a bit of a barn and designed for hockey - not live music. But the sound people did an adequate job. The crowd was 90% over 50 but on its feet for a hefty percentage of the show. The X was packed.

What a show the stage the sets the graphics the pictures just amazed me. But the best was the singing. Everyone one of his back-up group was truly fabulous great musician in their own right. James has aged like a fine wine and lost nothing in his voice or his musicality. What a range of James Taylor songs and great covers. James Taylor is without a doubt, my favorite live performer. The man is so truly genuine, humble, kind, and massively talented it cannot be denied. He introduces each member of his band individually. He moves from center stage to the person being introduced and shakes their hand, or bows to them, or hugs them. The respect given is sincere. James talks openly and with great wit. During the 20 minute intermission, he didn't take a break. He signed autographs and talked with fans off the side of the stage, not quitting until the band returned from break and started playing without him. He's been to Seattle many times, but my most memorable concert was on 9/12/2001, the day after 9/11. He talked to us. Calmed us. Focused us on what truly mattered, those we love.

Loved them both. Sheryl Crow almost stole the show, but James is still playing with passion and is backing himself with the best musicians in the industry. There are a lot of great musicians out there and both Sheryl and James have grabbed some of them. The sound was excellent as it has been for so many decades. And the crowd was pleasant and courteous. I'm still having trouble disassociating from the night it was that good. Only difficulty was us older folk having to traverse those steep steps, especially when the handrails disappear. Everyone I watched was having trouble getting up to their seats. Most came for a good reason so they put on their game face to make it. God forbid when they had to use the bathrooms for them selves or their children. The facilities are quite a distance. None of this spoiled anything, the musical talent was so good. And kudos to all the attendants. Very patient and they had answers for any question.

I would do it all over again...even with all the people that were there..It s always a bit crowded at the Bowl but the acoustics are like no other place you can go to a concert and hear. Getting seats on the main floor was a great decision, for viewing our first James Taylor concert. It seemed we were part of an intimate performance, not one in a big arena. And Oh! What a show! It was a feast for the eyes and ears, with videos, photos and colorful background displays to view, while listening to a multitude of musicians and vocalists perform all of our favorite songs. Substituting Sheryl Crow for Bonnie Raitt worked out well, allowing us to see two great performers separately and then together for a few duets. The fabulous seats, coupled with two of my favorite artists, made for a memorable concert experience.

Combined All Star band playing with James Taylor plus Sheryl Crow made for an amazing night of music! Seeing Taylor perform in person, such a treat and to me, a history buff, historic because I consider James Taylor to be a living legend in music. The music has meaning and really touches the heart; thanks for a great evening!
The James Taylor show was awesome. He had a great group of musicians performing with him, and he introduced each one of them during the song where each one was highlighted. He had an amazing back drop video screen. which included some photos of his childhood. But the best part was James Taylor's performance. His voice is beautiful. He told stories before performing each song. Personal stories that really told about his life. And he really appreciated the audience. One of the best concerts I have ever seen.
Over the years I have seen James several times. He is like a fine wine that gets better with age. What an awesome concert. We hadn t heard the new that Bonnie was not preforming until we got there. She rocked the house. Such a treat! They are a great pair. Must see show! All star band and of course Arnold McCuller was incredible!
this was the first time I have seen James Taylor. I was disappointed that Bonnie Raitt initially because I love her too; however, James Taylor was amazing. He seemed very humble and I loved how he introduced the band and back-up singers. He welcomed them with open arms. The music and videos were great. I would recommend seeing him!!
I have loved James Taylors music for decades. This was the first time I have seen him in person. It may be the best concert I have ever seen. He puts on quite a show. A stellar musician and an amazing entertainer who is authentic and passionate about his music.
James Taylor concert was wonderful. His voice is still the same at 70 years of age. He also has a great band. He sang some new songs, but the old ones are my favorite. Greenville, SC is a beautiful town and a nice place to visit.
Whenever JT sings "Carolina In My Mind" I always feel a burning need to specify that singing it doesn't mean you're going to UNC-CH, it means the state of NORTH CAROLINA. Haha! That is a joke my Carolina sister and I, an NC State grad, have between us. Every year I see JT on tour, which is nearly every year literally whether he comes to NC or not, I always walk away thinking he can't possibly deliver a better show, but each year he continues to defy those odds and gives us even more. This year, his touring partner Bonnie Raitt had to bail from a part of the tour for health reasons, but JT stepped it up and more than made up for the disappointment of our missing her. We missed you, Bonnie! We are so proud JT has become so much more than an amazingly talented home-boy. He is a NC icon and the epitome of the truly loved, truly embraced NC musician we look forward to year after year after year!

As a songwriter, you have to admire his words. At the concert, he told us how he came to write the song or what was on his mind while he wrote it. He had photos of those people and places on a big screen behind him while he played. Some of the songs made me reminisce my young years.....and quite frankly, brought a few tears to my eyes. Other songs were new and even a bit different than he used to write. I really enjoyed his presentation of "Montana". It was an expression of the beauty of the land and what he saw while staying in a cabin there. I really felt as if I was experiencing the same feelings he had while being there! That's what makes a great songwriter! His love songs touched my heart (that is somthing you never will forget). Plus, JT had the survivor families of Parkland there and dedicated his concert to them. A few happy tears, reminiscing, beautiful images, and songs that touched my heart....and soul. G-d bless JT! In one night he shares his life, and affects ours. He's still got It!

Thank you James Taylor fo so many years of brilliant music. Your musicians were the of the highest caliber and your visual video artwork enhanced the evening. James Taylor is a musical style of it's own which is part of the pop culture bringing such positivity to the world! The staff at the Amway Center were all delightful and helpful. I feel so fortunate to have taken part in such a wonderful experience.

JT s voice is as good as ever and his back up band musicians were incredibly talented. His genuine personality and his interaction with the audience made you just love him more. Such a memorable night!

James Taylor continues to be amazing after all these years. He sounds exactly like he did when he first started out. He has tremendous rapport with the audience. I loved all the slide shows playing during the songs. His band was very tight. The sound system at Amway was excellent, and the set-list was wonderful. My only complaint is lack of healthy food (there is one taco place that is good, most all of the other kiosks were overpriced burgers, fries and Hot Dogs). Oh one more complaint-not being allowed to bring in our own water, and then being charged the ridiculous price of $5 a bottle (I decided to be thirsty and wait until after the show, I had water in my car). Requests for a cup of "regular" tap water were denied. Even at Walt Disney World they only charge $3 a bottle (which is still overpriced), and they will give you FREE ice water at any of the counter service locations.

James still rocks the house with a great repertoire and a superb band. His stories are what ties it altogether!

My boyfriend and I attended the show and had a very nice evening. We were disappointed that Bonnie Raitt wasn t able to be there but James Taylor was awesome and he did a great job. Love that he is so chill and he loves his pug. James is def a show you want to attend.

I LOVED and would highly recommend the show to any James Taylor fan. Well produced show! Really enjoyed the collection of photos, movies and lyrics that were shown as he sang. It added another beautiful element to an already super polished performance. His voice is just as soothing as ever. Excellent! The backing vocalists and musicians - just Wow!. I had so much fun! Inside that area, that night, it was a simpler, authentic, more beautiful time!!! BRAVO - Mr. Taylor and Band - WELL DONE!!

So happy I was able to finally see James Taylor after all of these years, this was my first Florida concert since moving here from Las Vegas. Although I was sad Bonnie Raitt couldn't make it, I was really set on hearing/watching James Taylor. He sounds amazing live.

Such a true talent. Great mix of new and old. Band was awesome, too. If you have the chance, GO! The Jacksonville venue is okay.

We loved this concert. James still has it!!! and so does Bonnie!!
Ignoring the atrocious acoustics of the Ford Center- James Taylor played his heart out. His sense of humor connection with his band and audience, not to mention his voice is as strong and soulful still, made this event worthwhile! Would love to see him again where the melody and lyrics did not bounce off metal ceilings and cement floors before they reached my ears. Not his fault! He even mentioned- I heard I'm the first to play in this big ole building. His sound crew did the best they could do considering the deplorable conditions they had to deal with!
Bonnie Raitt seemed to be either sick or phoning it in. She was very low energy all night long, including in the joint encore with James Taylor. James Taylor was great, both the performance and the music. However the organization of the show was pretty bad: it was hard to move around to get to the bathrooms or to beer or food, and no one knew what line to stand in to get into the arena or to pick up will call tickets. This could have been much better run with some planning.
The background multimedia screens floating around w pictures were sensational and the bands played some fabulous music. Wife and I are still talking about it.
If I never see another concert, I'll die a happy camper! We'd seen JT several times solo years ago in TX and Bonnie as well--solo once and once with Lyle Lovett. This concert was the perfect sing-along event. With the exception of a couple of new tunes, both singers stuck to old familiar songs and at times the audience singing sounded louder than their backup singers. Incredible musicians in both of their bands. For both JT and Bonnie, their talent is only surpassed by their graciousness!
