Neil Young looked and sounded great, Willie was better than the last time we saw him in SC in May. The best act was Jamie Johnson and Allison Kraus. They made beautiful music together. His rendition of This Land is Your Land, slow and bluesy, was incredible. Lucas Nelson, Willie's son is very talented and following in his dad's shoes. Alabama Shakes rocked it!

This was my third Farm Aid and thought it was the best (though the most expensive). Willie, Neil, John, and Dave were all tremendous. Neil played with Lucas Nelson's (Willie's son) band The Promise of the Real and rocked the house. John played many of his hits. Alabama Shakes brought the soul. And Ian Mellencamp (yep) and Insects v Robots gave great rock performances. Jamey Johnson and Allison Krauss were awesome with some old school country. But my favorite was Nathaniel Rateliff and The Night Sweats. I wasn't familiar with them but became an instant fan (as in fanatic). Nate's voice is bluesy and silky at the same time. Wasting Time and SOB got the crowd dancing as did their cover of The Band's The Shape I'm In. Easily the best in a lineup of great performances. I hope Willie stays healthy and Farm Aid lives for many more years.

I think it is great what these guys are doing for the farmers! And like so many other things we have just let the Corporate world take over the small companies and send the jobs over seas just to save money. We need America back!!!

I wish the artists would have played more of their older songs. I think most people I spoke with would have loved that-we can relate more to the older songs.

This was the worst show I have ever paid to see.! The stadium sucked and was not made for this big of a crowd. The parking was terrible. You had to be shuttled to the stadium in a school bus, and getting back was like watching a monkey do a football. Now to the actual show. Jamie Johnson was awesome. I came to see Neil Young and was disapointed. Performed maybe 5 songs on a acoustic guitar and that was it. Guess I didnt know how Farm Aid was but I will never return.

We thought the venue was great and so was the performers but wondered why more large name performers aren't invited so that possibly the event could be held at a larger venue and raise even more money.

Terrible venue. Terrible Show. There were a few amazing greats, Ray Price and Billy Joe Shaver to name two. The others were less than desirable and very disappointing. Concession prices were extremely outrageous and the cold water was turned off in the ladies room. No sunscreen allowed in an open air venue is rediculous.

The Farm Aid cause is a great and noble cause, however, the actual show was very, very disappointing show. I have been to several Farm Aid concerts and they had all been very strong, however, this one was weak. Most of the sets were acoustic (Matthews, Cougar, Neil, Dylan), which didn't translate well in a large, outdoor venue. The young guns just didn't have it. Their whole bag was lame-o country rock that has been done a thousand time already. I didn't hear one decent song from the whole bunch. Robert Francis, Jamey Johnson, and Greg Mraz did nothing for me. Willie's kid Lucas appears to have promise, but he's not there yet. It wasn't all bad I thought the old timers Ray Price and Billy Joe Shaver had great sets. All and all, a huge disappointment. If Willie and the boys can't get these shows back to their previous level of excellence, they need to retire the concept.

Excellent venue for a concert!! Livestrong is big but seems intimate.....wish all future Farm Aid concerts could be at Livestrong Sporting Park!! Beers should be cheaper, however! 9.50 is a little steep for us frugal Boomers! :-) Liked John the best, followed by Dave Matthews...his buddy Tim can sure play the guitar! Neil Young can still inspire the crowd....that is great as he has aged.... Liked Luke Nelson and Mrasz and Jakob Dylan also. Congrats to all the singers....and thanks for their time in donating to a great cause! Go American Farmers!! :-) God bless you and the USA! SJ

With a line-up that includes Willie Nelson, Dave Matthews, Jason Mraz, John Mellencamp and Neil Young, I was expecting big things. Unfortunately, I was wrong. I left even before Willie Nelson because sleep sounded like it would be more fun.

This was my first year at FarmAid, and now that it's over, I can fully say that everything good you've heard about it is completely true. The weather was perfect, so it made an ideal Saturday sitting outside and listening to a rather broad arrangement of artists ranging from local talent to living legends. Regardless if you're a specific fan of the music or not, I highly recommend attending this event in the future just to support the fantastic cause that it represents. I'm proud to say that I have had the opportunity to see the great Neil Young in my life time now, and you don't get much better than that!

I think this concert is one that you cannot miss. I am glad that it came to my hometown, otherwise I would not have gone. This was the LONGEST event I have been to by far. It was outside and if it was any hotter during the day I would have been miserable. It was comfortable by nightfall. My seats were midrange and I think they held their value. The opening acts were good, but Tim Reynolds stole the show! He was great and played an awesome solo. While the set changes were quick, there were so many of them that it felt to me like it was dragged out. Willie was off time most of his performance. I know this is typical and part of his charm, but he was way off.

Good event. Very nice stadium though parking a mile away was a "hardship". Nice to have access to stadium offerings, shade and breeze especially after sweltering in brutal head of Kanrocksas the weekend before. Could have done without Jason Mraz - he put me to sleep and, obviously, I am not a fan of his style of music. Neil Young was on my bucket list and I am appreciative of having him perform so close to home at an affordable price.

I have never been to a Farm Aid show before but have seen Dave Matthews band in concert 4 times as well as Dave and Tim once. Dave was the only reason I went to this and when Tim walked out on stage with him the whole crowd was up and standing. Great show, wish they could play a longer set, but thats how it goes at these things. It was a good experience all around and I enjoyed all of the tents and sight seeing. Very relaxed and friendly atmosphere with lots of good music.

Alabama Shakes was far better live than on video, as I'd only seen them before on awards shows. All the acts were crisp, professional, and the crews were wonderful in switching the sets around promptly so there was no down time between the acts. Exhibits and food were excellent; crowd control unobtrusive. Merch a bit skimpy; good stuff sold out too fast. this was a day long event, not a single concert, so hey should have anticipated greater demand. Wine prices were exorbitant and selection not that great.

What a great lineup and a great venue. The weather was perfect for a day full of amazing music with wonderful views of Chicago in the background. I was in the soggy lawn section but the video screens and speakers made it feel as if I was up close. Tops for me were Dave Matthews and John Mellencamp. Lows were the cost of food and beverages, the nasty toilets and Neil Youngs political rant filled set list. I was so hoping to hear a few of his classics but was disappointed with his choice of songs. Sorry Neil! He did sound great though.

I am a Classic rock guy, but did like some of the Country acts as well. Jamey Johnson was good! I really like Mellancamp and hope his voice was off because his was sick or something because it was Horrible!! Songs were great...band was tight...but his voice was a shame! Farm Aid 2011 (Kansas City, Kansas) was a very special awesome, wonderful experience. Livestrong Sporting Park was an awesome facility. The volunteers who worked the day were so friendly and helpful. There was one man selling lemonade in the extreme heat and he was dancing to the music as he carried his heavy tray. The food was very, very good and there was plenty available. This was definitely a very organized event and it ran so smoothly...all day long. The people who attended Farm Aid were fantastic. There was a special vibe coming from everyone there. There were infants, children, teens....all the way up to very elderly folks. Everyone was happy and friendly. All day long and all night long, people were smiling. People apologized if you had to get up to let them through the row. Strangers instantly became friends. It was the most unique experience and atmosphere I have ever been in concert wise. I thank the people for a beautiful day. The concert itself was incredible. The music sound system was fantastic, the large screens were great, the changes between bands went so smoothly. The bands were fantastic. A full day of music by these bands made for a beautiful day. I still have the music playing in my head...three days later. I greatly appreciated the focus each performer had for the farmers. Their thoughts were well put and easy to understand. I'm thankful they are helping our family farmers and making this situation so well known. If at all possible, I will attend any Farm Aid Concert I can get to in the future!

I was very happy with the entertainment at Farm Aid! I thought the group of people were interesting and it was clear that everyone had their favorite performer to see. I very much enjoyed John Mellencamp and Neil Young. My only problem with the entertainment was that each of the shows were very short. Six or so songs. My problem with this concert was the venue. I felt like it wasn't prepared for the amount of people who were at the concert. It was crowed everywhere! Also you weren't allowed to leave the venue, so you had to eat at least one meal at the venue in order to experience the entire event. The concessions were terrible. I waited in line for 40 minutes, only to reach the front and have the cashier tell me the line was closed and I had to move to the end of another line. Then, when I moved to another line I waited for another long amount of time. I ordered a hot dog and Nachos. The hot dog I was given was soaking wet and I had to throw the bun away. Also there were no napkins to be found!!! I do feel like some of these problems will be worked out as this was the first concert at the venue, but I found it took away from the concert experience

I am from Pittsburgh and frequent the KeyBank Pavillion (Star Lake) often and have for years. While I'm aware of how far it is and how heinous the parking situation can be, it's always great for sound. Farm Aid was excellent and the artists blew me away. KeyBank did a nice job of having a variety of vendors and keeping the bathrooms as clean as possible. I'd totally go back to Farm Aid here again and will continue to attend shows here.

The music was great, star performers, good audio, big screens. The venue was not so good, slow access from a two lane road, rough parking lots, basic facilities inside, not much special food, and very little happening regarding the purpose of Farm Aid. The venue allows tailgating before the concert, so many people had a lot of alcohol before entering the show. The facility was very crowded with people, and many were too drunk hillbillies. At the end of the night the lawn was a mess covered with trash and thousands of big empty beer cans.

The musicianship was incredible. I have seen Mellencamp several times and always fabulous Cheryl Crow was amazing as was Dave Matthews who I had never seen live before. He is genius. The main attraction for me was Neil Young who I had not seen live. As the high school class of 1969...I wanted to see him for sure and he did not disappoint...he was awesome. Willie and his sons were so great. So glad I attended. The highlight of music for me for 2017 so far. Doing Bruce on Broadway next.

Hello there.Let me start off by telling you i have been to over 1000 shows since 1971 and FARM AID was in the top 3 .Being a wheelchair user the event was like a fine oiled machine. You can tell extensive planning and set up went into this event.First all farm raised and fresh food ranging from grilled pork chop sandwiches, amazing angus burgers, brautworst , shrimp and the list goes on.The music started promt at 1230 and never stopped till 11:30. The sound was incredible and they were sporting massive led hd screens that put you in the action.the bands were amazing and some i had never seen like Nathan Radcliffe and the night sweats, blackberry smoke,.They all rocked and jammed with each other Sheryl crow with jack johnson and neil young playing harmonica with lukas nelson and heart warming was lukas nelson jamming texas flood with dad to his left.its very hard to pout into words felt good about myself, and america after the show with so much negativity going on in our world it was so refreshing to put 23000 hippies and farmers together for a night of learning, sharing and caring thank you for an incredible night.people should take a minute and thank a farmer next time you see one they work had so we can eat

Farm Aid is a fantastic event. This is my 3rd. It moves aroundevery year, some are easier to attend than others. Willie, John and Niel clearly care about the American farmer, or they wouldn't have been doing this for 31 years. Jamey Johnson and Dave Matthews have been on board for a while, too. Willie's sons' bands Aliens and Robats and Promise of the Real provided support this year, with Nathaniel Ratcliff and the Night Sweats and Alabama Shakes being the other big draws. The food served at the venue is "hime grown," and there was a seed exchange and lecture series. It's not just about the music. We were blessed with nice weather. Good times. Social media said I couldn't share video, so I put down my phone and enjoyed the show. If you weren't there, you missed it (unless you watched their official video at home).

This was our first Farm Aid. It was local to us this year so we decided to give it a try even though we only knew the music of the major headliners. I have to say this is one of the best festivals we have ever attended. We enjoyed the laid back atmosphere, the mature crowd, the amazing local food options and all of the opportunities for learning about farming. The bands were amazing. There were ones that we knew would be amazing and there were bands that are new to us but now we are fans. Would definitely travel to go this festival again. Everything ran smoothly and like clockwork.

A full day of some of the most talented country, rock, roots, and Americana to ever play. Easy 5-star show. But Jiffy Lube Live is legendary for the amount of time it takes to get out of the parking lot, and this night was no exception. We left early, just a few songs into Willie Nelson's set (the headliner), and it still took us 2 FULL HOURS to get out of the parking lot. Unacceptable! This put a bit of a damper on my overall feelings for the show.

Very good show but with some disappointments. #1. In between sets of the musicians you could hardly hear the music that was being played over the loudspeakers. People were in a festive mood. Playing the music as loud or nearly as loud as the musicians were playing would've kept the partying atmosphere alive during the intermissions. Instead, the low volume deflated the crowd. #2. I know its tradition, but would've loved to hear the main acts play more than 45 minutes. #3. Outrageous prices on beer and food. Known as price gouging. Neil should take this up as an issue along with his issue with food corporations.

We had a great time. This was the first all day event that we have taken our kids to (3 and 4) since there was no re entry and all information about Jiffy Lube Live said that tailgating was not allowed longer than 20 minutes after show starts we waited until the afternoon to arrive. Was disappointed to find an entire parking lot full of tailgating. Had we know we would have arrived early to listen from the lot and have something to eat before heading in. The music was excellent, homegrown concessions were yummy, the staff was super friendly and very helpful, bathrooms were kept clean. The lawn was packed so tight with people, had we not been upgraded to seats we would have ended up only being able to hear and not see the stage. In the future I would purchase pavilion seats for an event like this. Since we had lawn tix we did not have head phones for the kids and I was able to get free ear buds from guest services when we were upgraded to seats. All in all we had an amazing time and can't wait for the next time we can attend a Farm Aid!

First I wouldn't recommend the lawn seating at first merit, flat no incline. It rained the night before so the mud didn't help. I imagine the artists all donate their time ( I would hope) so kudos to them for stepping up. I'm not a twenty something so Imagine Dragons and Dave Matthews don't appeal to me. All the other artists were great especially Neil Young who did a couple of protest songs that are appropriate for today's Farmer issues. John Mellencamp and of course Willie Nelson put on great sets.

Was a great day of music. However, the because of the heavy rains the day before, the lawn was horrendous. The venue did not do enough to take care of it. Because of the lack of cell reception, lines were horrendously long to purchase food and drink since most people were trying to pay with a credit card - which is an on-going problem when i attend concerts at this venue - they need to put up more cell towers. I missed a whole set waiting for food. Once my food finally came, there were NO napkins, ketchup or any other condiments. That is a big NO NO......

Lot's of fun. The earlier sets were pretty short but had to be to get so many artists in. I would've liked to heard more of Todd Snider. Walnut Creek seems to be a little more friendly than the last time I was out there a few years ago.

Even though a long day and weather always unpredictable it was a memorable experience. The music was awesome. Because you are there to help support a cause people are happy, and friendly!

Other than Neal's political rant which I object to since I am paying to hear music and not politics to support Farmer's the concert was great. I got to hear bands I would have never thought of listening to. a 10! They ran out of local healthy food but still a great time and well worth going even with the objections and it supports a great cause.

Show was great. All performers were outstanding in my opinion. I travelled 9 hours primarily to hear Dave and Tim's set and they did not disappoint. Well worth it!

Very smooth transitions between bands made this event move quickly. I was a little disappointed that most bands played only 20 minutes to 45 minutes max. Therefore, just when you were getting into their music, they were done! Gary Cark, Jr. was incredible, and should have played longer! Jamey Johnson, Delta Rae, also great, but not enough time on stage. And I would have loved to have heard some NEW music from the headliners, but instead got the oldies they are known for. All in all, an enjoyable day of music, and the food from the local vendors in the Homegrown Village was very good. And that includes Jack White's set, by the way, expected something different from him, out of the box, but no! didn't happen!

The show overall was amazing. There were a couple of acts that were not my cup of tea. There were acts that I wished had been able to play longer such as Jamey Johnson, Gary Clark Jr., and Carlene Carter.

Farm Aid 2014 was amazing. I would really hate to have to pick my favorite performance. Every performer seemed to be giving 110% all the time. Gary Clark Jr and Jack White deserve special mention for the strong shows that they performed.

I was there from 12-12. You have to experience the whole thing. It was awesome. Huge crowd. We met people that had traveled from all over to attend. All the performers were amazing. I am big fan of Lukas Nelson so seeing him was a treat. Would have been nice if he could have played an hour. I loved seeing John Mellencamp. I have always been a fan of his music but had never seen him. Gary Clark Jr. is my new favorite. He was incredible.

I was really expecting more patriotic - type of show for Farm aid. If Jamie Johnson plays again in it.. I may go... but for the other bands.. no way would I pay that again for that show.

From start to finish the mood was friendly and inviting. The crowd was attentive and responsive. Overall a feel good day! That is said without even commenting on the music... which was superb!! All artists performed up to my every expectation. First time seeing Willie Nelson and he is truly a living legend with a voice like butter. His son is a chip off the old block for sure. I walked away with a really good feeling about the entire day. Even the rain at the end didn't stop me and my friends and family from staying till the show was completely over. Well worth the money!!

The entire day was great: good weather, great tunes, happy people, The line-up felt like a mini Bonnaroo :). I was blown away when Pete Seeger joined the headliners to sing his beautiful song, with the newest lyrics about New York being 'frack-free!' He is an inspiration; what a way to end the evening! My first Farm Aid, but I want to attend in the future. Thanks for a great day!

There were 18 performers at Farm Aid, and I can't think of anything hegative to say about any of the performers.... The concert started out Great....!!! and Just kept getting BETTER.....!!! In my opinion the best unknown (to me) performers.... Bahamas, Willie Nelsons son, and Amos Lee.

FarmAid is a great cause and great artists. The show, events, experience are all worth it. I went to FarmAid 2012 in Hershey and now this year in Saratoga. I love the atmosphere and enjoy making it a short weekend trip with my friends. My only issue is the venue couldnt support all those people there. The speakers werent loud enough in the back.

Very dense crowd - lawn section was oversold (haven't seen portapotties overflowing like this ever before). Music was good - esp Dave Mathews. John Cougar (excuse me Melloncamp) sang his old hits. Neil Y was doing his Farm aid thing (and that's OK because it was Farm Aid) - "and that's the truth".

I was one of the first cars in line to get into the main lot but others were allowed in who did not wait. The music was amazing but it was very crowded. Drinks were also very very very high priced. I hope the farmers got a cut of the sales....

Went to farm aid to see Neil Young, he just wandered up and down the stage ranting and raving about getting carbon out of the air back into the soil - really? Willie Nelson came on for a few minutes - he does play a guitar very well, but didn't play anything memorable.

The bands were all incredible. My only complaint is the music was turned down so low that you could barely hear it on the lawn. They needed better sound placement, volume, something. It was very disappointing. When the performers would talk you really couldn't hear what they were saying and the music was so low. SPAC should know when you have that many people at an event you need to crank it up. The acts were all amazing but I don't feel I got my monies worth since I could barely hear it enough to enjoy it.

Amos lee came out and got the crowd started. Jack Johnson got the crowd dancing in the isles. Dave Mathews and Tim Reynolds blew the crowd away. John Mellencamp took the crowd down memory lane. Peter Seeger was nostalgic. Neil Young sang one classic song then ranted about god knows what, then played some old folk songs only to entertain himself. Neil should know when his audience is standing in the rain just to hear some of his classic tunes. He should put forth some effort. Sadly after Neil s lack of entertaining, half the crowd left. Willies performance what can ya say, it s Willie.

Very disappointed with the venue...couldn't hardly hear the bands let alone see them. Stage was basically down in a pit and we couldn't get to a location where we could even view it from afar. I don't think there were speakers pumping music up...if there were we couldn't hear it. So crowded you could hardly move. Food and beer prices were outrageous. Waited 30 mins for food after it was paid for. Poor selection of food offered. Very commercialized...they just wanted your money. Long bathroom waits for disgusting facilities. And then it rained.

Lukas Nelson was an amazing surprise, he rocked. Tim Reynolds can make that guitar cry, wow! Wish some of the "big" names came on a little earlier, instead of being all grouped st the end. Given that it was a torrential downpour while these guys finally came on, Neil Young needed to sing more and prosthelisize less. We get it. We're at this concert for a reason. Having Pete Seeger show up and perform was a rare treat, and probably not something ill ever get to see again. All in all, I would recommend Farm Aid to anyone who can afford a ticket. Doesn't matter what your preference in music is, you'll love this.
