After the pleasant forgettable opening act Kevin Seconds, 2 Tone ska legends The Selecter tore the roof off the place (ok, the place already had no roof but still). I admired the fact that Pauline and the gang didn't shy away from their newer material either--Frontline sounded as fresh and relevant as anything else they played and Pauline dedicated it to Heather Heyer for standing up to Trump's neo-Nazis. Dropkick Murphys were forgettable despite some fanatical/drunk portion of the audience fan base. With open seating, I just got up from my concrete seat and stretched during their set. The last two songs were alright. Finally Rancid were amazing, grateful to the audience for their career and more than once paid homage to the great Selecter. Rancid's message of equality and inclusion for all was very moving. As for the venue, it's supposed to be non-smoking but was nothing but cigarettes and pot everywhere. I don't care if it's Berkeley, if it's supposed to be non-smoking, do something about it. Not everyone wants to smoke or smell that or smell like it afterward. Never again, especially with the joy of $20 parking nearby.

I've seen Rancid grow into a remarkable band, since first seeing them in 1996. It was good hearing songs I've never heard live before. Seeing Flea from RHCP get up on stage to jam with them, really shows how far they've come. Just awesome!!! I grew up listening to The Adolescents and this is the 2nd. time I got to see them live. What can I say, they are legends to the So Cal punk scene, and I will always be glad I got to see them.....even if they are old men now.

We love the Music Box, always well organized, security has a fair attitude. We missed the first act but The Adolescents were fun as always, good to see family following in dad's footsteps, he's a great guitarist! Rancid was really on for being their first show of the season. Tim was more engaging than last year. Lars was quite active and Matt kicked his bass solo. Spent 20 minutes reminiscing with an old school OC punker whose first Rancid show was when them and Greenday opened for Bad Religion. Everybody always leaves a Rancid show happy ... in a word the whole experience was germane.

Dropkick Murphys and Rancid put on an awesome show. As a long time Rancid fan and Bay Area native, seeing them at the Greek was a real treat. I loved the encore with both bands playing covers of classic songs by Johnny Cash and the Ramones, so much fun.

My first time seeing Rancid and my 2nd seeing Dropkick. 2 of my favorite bands in one bada** show! The Selecter killed it also! Those fools have been rocking out since the 70s! Unfortunately, I missed the first act due to trying to stuff my face with pizza and beer outside the venue but I'm sure he jammed out! Was also my first time at the Greek in berkeley. what an awesome, friendly venue! Can't wait to see another show there. Security was fun and easygoing, helping crowdsurfers to safety. I wish there had been more merch stands as the line was ridiculous so I chose to watch the show and miss out on a shirt. If you are a rancid/dropkick fan or even a punk fan, do yourself a favor and see these legends live!

This just seemed like the wrong venue for a punk show. The atmosphere just felt really strange for these bands. I might feel more critical of it because I am getting older and more bitter but this just didn't feel punk rock. Drinks were around $10 no matter what you had so a tall can of Rainier was $10.25 and a shot of Captain Morgan's was $10.50. These prices seemed ridiculous especially once again considering what type of event this was. They checked your ID before entering the beer garden area and then once again as you purchased. This slowed the process to a snail's pace and even though there were multiple spots to get a drink and a billion bartenders it still took about 15-20 minutes to get a drink you immediately feel guilty about spending so much money on. Lights for opening band Selector sucked. Just flooded white light, no gels no program. This was also the only time at a concert I have had to wait an extended time to use the men's room. All-in-all I won't go back to this venue. Oh about the actual show: Lot's of Dropkick fans like to wear Utilikilts and it looks like bad cosplay. Rancid was alright. Lars seemed out of breath a lot and Tim was pretty dope.

I prefer to see DKM in a more intimate setting like a bar or an old theater. No Kiss Me or Skinhead which are such a big part of their shows. Wamu was a good setting but everything was ridiculously expensive...35$ parking, 9.50$ for a bottle of Bud light and u have to consume it in the beer garden. Show was awesome! Venue not so much.

The warm-up band The Interrupters were not very good...but that's just my opinion. The Transplants came on and killed it...good to see Tim & Travis on the same stage. They quickly got the pit whipped up into a frenzy. Finally Rancid came onstage absolutely blew my mind. All of their songs are punk rock anthems and I went hoarse singing along to every one. And the pit was out of control...best I've seen at HOB in a while. First time I saw Rancid was back in '93 with Sick of it All and I have to say, they still haven't lost a beat...before you know it Rancid will be on classic rock stations : )

This was a destructive combination, putting the transplants and rancid on the same headline. Transplants field the fire that rancid would ignite as they cruised through multiple classics and few new songs. Moshing ensued through every song and people were having fun. Once rancid came on, the age-old punks opened the pit and the party really got started. Through sings off of the 1993 a/t to the 2009 release, rancid brought the intensity everyone expected, being the audience to complete exhaustion as they ran a circle pit til we could no more. All in all, I look forward to throwing down and raging again next time rancid rolls through town and if the transplants come with; it's gonna be a night if trouble.

I've seen Rancid perform several times over the years and, as always, they put on a high energy show with a mix of old and new materials - including a brand new song. From the time they took the stage with Roots Radical until they ended the show with Ruby Soho the energy was high and the crowd was hyped. I have seen Rancid live many times and will see them every time the opportunity arises. This was my first time seeing The Transplants and they also put on a great show. Travis Barker is very animated on the drums and fun to watch. His children were at the show and his son was on stage with a spiked mohawk "playing" an unplugged guitar and singing into an unplugged microphone. I see no future for him other than as a punk rocker. You can tell he has spent time around Tim Armstrong as his mannerisms on the guitar are reminiscent of Tim.

I would have gone to both nights of their shows but had tickets to see them the following week in Vegas so I practiced restraint and held off on the 2nd night tickets! As I get older I forget what drew me to punk rock music in my youth... this show was a nice reminder! The energy was there Selecter, Rancid and DKM were on point!!!! Loved the set lists and the crowds. My only real complaint was security at the venue. They wouldn't let my 14-year-old daughter in with her flat "spiked" bracelets. To say they were even spiked is a stretch and the policy was was not consistent. It really depended on which security guard you happen to get.... and lets be honest, this is supposed to be a punk rock show.... you're going to get spiked accessories on most of the patrons. Rancid never fails to put on a great show. Since '94, I've seen them 9 times when they've come East. They peppered the show with an assortment of hits and obscure tracks. I can't recall the last time I saw them perform "Bloodclot." Although not performed this night, I always liked "Wars End" whether electric or performed acoustic by Lars. I bring it up, b/c you know you're going to hear something surprising, not just a reprise of the 'Out Come the Wolves' album. (Saw the anniversary tour, so I have no problem with the album). I know some will say the show leaned to heavily on OCtW, but I would say that both Rancid and Dropkick Murphys gave a hearty performance and it was almost a great, big sing-a-long for the fans, both new and old. Great show, great tour, great venue. You can't have a better Friday night and we were very happy in the end.

I have seen Rancid 3 times and they never disappoint but I really wish the next time they come around it will be a different venue other than Stage AE. We were unable to make the Jacobs Pavilion show in Cleveland so we chose the Pittsburgh date. Upon arriving there-the men and women had to be checked in separately like we were in grade school and I have NEVER seen such rude employees as those women in the front. The one screaming "Ladies keep moving! Keep moving!Come on!" like we were in boot camp and the ones who check our belongings were just plain mean. You'd think they worked for the TSA instead of a minimum wage job at a concert venue. I realize this was no fault of the bands- who were great btw. I will never give that venue another penny while they have such inept people working there. I totally understand security is key at point of entry and during the show but concerts are supposed to be fun- not make people feel harrassed.

Great mix of classic Rancid songs and the best songs from the new album. The sound was excellent and the band seemed to really appreciate the fans and appeared to be really enjoying the performance.

Amazing show! I expected it to be louder though. Also if a band is promoting mosh pits, security needs to chill out. But fantastic time!!!!

Venue was clean and well organized, staff were very friendly and helpful, crowd was well managed. Performance itself was amazing, great sound and lighting, quick set changes, great energy. Thanks again to all the staff who let me bring in the t-rex costume, caught me when i crowd surfed, or generally encouraged my shennanigans.

A little rain. No problem, in fact it felt kind of good. Stephen King in the audience. Very cool. The music. Energetic, rebellious, rousing. The sound mix. Not so good. Couldn't hear the bagpipes and when you can't hear the bagpipes, the mix is wrong.
