The wallflowers are the most underrated band ever. These guys are so unbelievable talented !!! I have been listening to them for 17 years, and never thought I was going to be able to see them in concert. When I heard they were touring again I ran to the phone to buy tickets. I was so blessed they were at a smaller venue. They did not disappointe anyone in the crowed. They rocked from thier older songs to thier newest music every song they rocked !!! If anyone has a chance to see them you need to go, they are so awesome !!! If you've never heard thier music before you need to check them out , each one of these guys are superstars !!!!! Yes I love the Wallflowers !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This was my first Wallflowers concert, and I really hope it isn't my last. I've been to a lot of shows before, but they have to be one of the best I've seen. Got to meet the guys after the show and they were beyond nice! Loved every minute of it.

I"m an old time fan, so it was great to see these guys back together after so long. The show was mellow, intimate, they took requests, and we even met them and got autographs after the show. Nice bunch of guys! They should release a NEW one!

First of all, I love the Wallflowers. I think the songs are well written and the tunes are rhythmic. Second, the setting was perfect ! The venue held about 2 thousand fans on lawnchairs or blankets. It was awesome to see these talented musicians up close and personal again. The lead guitarist is spectacular !!! While the tempo changed a little, as live performances do, the sound was exactly the same as you hear on the CD's. I LOVED IT !!!!

Botanical gardens is beautiful and a great setting for concerts. The Wallflowers were amazing - their performance was awesome. but the crowd was very boring. Really didn't give the Wallflowers their due. Seemed an older crowd and not enough in the audience really their to rock out to the music or even who knew the words to the music. Very disappointed. Seemed like the real fans were stuck way in the back. I was near the front and the people around me were just sitting there or talking to each other just not really getting into the music with any enthusiasm. Definitely not singing along or dancing until near the end and by that point a lot of the non enthusiastic people had left so the people that were really there for the music were left to dance and sing along and actually enjoy the rest of the show.

This was a great concert in a smaller venue, they couldn't have sounded better. They played a set list pulling from all of their albums, since they didn't have a new cd they were pushing. They rocked most of the night, but got pretty mellow acoustic for a few songs mid-show. Jakob had great banter with the audience which was amusing. The guitarist was excellent!!

The Wallflowers are an amazing band that will deliver an unforgettable concert. The opening act is forgettable but the wallflowers really put on a good show. They have a deep pool of good music that they play from and Jacob Dylan is as dynamic and amazing as ever. My only disappointment was that they did not play my favorite song, 'The Difference' but I can't expect everything every time.

Intimate atmosphere, great acoustics, and a band that took full advantage of this to the delight of the audience! Jakob showed excellent rapport with the audience and was quite humerous.....best line "...I always enjoy coming to Philadelphia, it's like coming home, I have family here.............not really, but it's always a crowd pleaser" Rocked out version of 3 Marlena's was awesome! Definitely worth the price of admission.

What a fabulous concert! The sound at the Keswick was great. The band agreed. They changed their set list while on stage because of the sound and energy in the room. They played every one of my favorite songs. I don't know what the original set list looked like but I can't imagine it was any better than the spontaneous list they performed. The size of the theater gave the concert a very intimate feel, as did Jakob. He made the audience feel a part of the show. He connects well with his audience and knows how to please them. It felt as if we were sitting in my garage listening to friends play for me. I highly recommend seeing The Wallflowers if given the chance. We enjoyed them very much. I look forward to seeing them again in the future.

A well played set by the Wallflowers. Overall it was enjoyable with the first half being of far better quality than the latter half. Jacob Dylan does well singing and welling his stories with the quality backing of the band. While on acoustic guitar the shortcomings of his playing are nicely covered in the background. However as the show progresses he abandons the quiet safety of his acoustic guitar for his Fender Telecaster. This is a mistake as the jouneyman quality of his playing comes to the forefront at this point. Stale stage banter by Jacob also detracts from the overall quality of the performance. Openeing act Augastana performed very well and was well matched with The Wallflowers.

The Wallflowers are back and sounding better than ever. Jakob and the guys played all the hits and pulled a few rarities out of the vaults, too. "Shy of the Moon" and the hidden track "Baby Bird" were just two of the many highlights. Catch these guys live if you can. It's well worth your time and money. Augustana opened and they were awesome, too. Overall a great night.

The venue of Keswick theater made for a small, intimate setting to hear some of the best music produced in the last 20 years... live. The Wallflowers came out quiet and humbly took the stage launching into the appropriate opener of "Feels Like Summer Again." For close to the next two hours, Jakob Dylan made obviously changes to the set list, advising the other band members as to the next song as the current one finished; he made conversation with the audience in a style that resembled bratty-flirtation, pointing out that he never, ever sits front row for anything... it's too much pressure. He was charming and funny, and the music was phenomenal. I've been to a lot of shows at many different types of venues and I have to say that this performance ranks in my top three.

I saw The Wallflowers in 1997 at the Shriners' Mosque in Springfield, Missouri. It was my first concert ever, the first event I had ever driven to by myself ( I was 16 ), and my first real date. Seeing The Wallflowers perform is etched into my memory-they were absolutely amazing. I've seen many bands, I've met Aerosmith, traded barbs with KISS, watched John Mayer play amazing blues, worshiped at the altar of Black Label Society, moshed in the pit with The Offspring, loved Seether, Saving Abel and Nickelback......but absolutely nothing takes the place of that experience with Jakob Dylan and the boys. This will always be my favorite band, they are the reason I picked up a guitar for the first time, they played the soundtrack to me falling in love, were there when I lost my brother to sing "Into The Mystic" to me. They are MY band!

Last Saturday night was night two of the Wild Flower music festival. We attended with plans to see Foghat, Joan Jett, and Cheap Trick but once we arrived we realized there would have to be a change of plans. The festival has many stages, but these acts were on the main stage, and while it s always the most crowded I don t think anyone expected this size of audience. Local media announced that attendance was over 30,000 Saturday evening. The main stage was set up at the bottom of a hill between some buildings. The place was so packed we could not even get to the front of the hill to even see the stage or the video screens. We did manage to squeeze in the crowd to see the part of the stage and video screen but kept getting pushed back. I had never seen Foghat so we stuck it out for the entirety of their set. Foghat still has the original drummer and the others members have been in the band a while but were not the band during the 70 s, that didn t matter because these guys sounded just like the old Foghat and that s enough for me. It s as cliché as Freebird but to get to hear Slow Ride was very cool. Foghat were entertaining and put on a solid one hour set. It was just too crowded to stand where we were for another 3 hours for the other two bands so we went to a less crowded part of the festival. We ended up at a theater that was in use. They booked in tribute act The Rod Experience in the theater to play several sets during the festival. We thought being inside and out of the heat that it would be difficult to get in and get a seat in the theater. We couldn t have been more wrong. No one was in there. We walked up sat on the front row. Only 100 people wondered in for this gig. The Rod Experience is a top grade tribute act featuring band members that all played with Rod at some point in their careers. Carmine Appice on drums, Jimmy Crespo who also was in Aerosmith in the 80 s on guitar. The singer wore a wig and sounded a lot like Rod. They played a set of Stewart s hits that ran for about 70 minutes. After that we went to the stage I watched Live s singer the night before to check out the Wallflowers. It was not very crowded. I know why. This band just doesn t have much going for it. I don t how they are still around. I saw them once about 15 years ago and this was about the same. They can all play well, but there are not many hits. They are not interesting in any way to me, and I found them very boring. Ok its Bob Dylan s kid, and he plays One Headlight or some song like that. I don t think I even knew another song in the set. That Bowie cover? That s it. I should have gone and found the Beatle cover band instead. Despite the anti-climatic last show, it was still worth the $15 ticket. Foghat Set list: Road Fever Home in my hand Drivin wheel Stone blue Terrraplane blues Fool for the city I just want to make love to you Slow ride The Rod Experience: some of the songs and not in order: Hot legs Passion Young turks Tonight s the night You re in my heart Maggie may Da ya think I m sexy

The show was awesome, great music, the band was very into the audience and gracious. Jackob was amazing, he has a unique voice, I heard a little of his father in the sound of his voice but not music style. I love them both. They had a woman named Gina who was the violinist in the opening band and Jakob invited her back on stage to play with them. She was great and the audience loved her. I hope I can get to another show so I can see them again.

The venue is small enough that even if you have the worst seats in the house you still get a pretty good view. The chairs were super comfy and there was plenty of room to get up and dance too. But, most importantly, the Wallflowers and the opening act were just awesome. Really cool, not trying to hard, and picked a great mix of songs.

The Wallflowers are back and better than ever. They mostly played songs from their new album Glad All Over, and these were well received by the crowd. The rest of the set featured their hits, as well as a few deeper album cuts, notably Hand Me Down and Witness from the album Breach, and Everything I Need from Red Letter Days. They were joined on several songs by the violinist from their opening act - she added an amazing energy to those songs, and would have received a standing ovation if we weren't already standing!

This was my first time going to the Fonda Theatre or seeing the Wallflowers, over all it was an amazing night. The Fonda Theatre was very cool place with the paintings on the walls and the way the venue is set up is very nice. I tend to like the smaller concert venues to see concerts because no matter where you are you can see the performer and usually have a much better time with dealing with the crowd then you do in the larger concert places. The Wallflowers were amazing, and wonderful to see. The band played a great mixture of their past hits mix with their new songs from their new album. I had a friend come with me and to be honest he came just so I would not be there alone. At the end of the night I ask him if he had fun and he was surprise how many songs he knew and how much he had fun. He fully admit he was very glad he came along with me. My only negative thing to say is that the sound was off, it sound like the sound guy blew out one of the speakers with being to loud but I would love to see the Wallflowers or go to the Fonda Theatre again.

I had been looking forward to seeing the Wallflowers for years. I didn't like the venue-the stage is sort of off-centered, so the angle that we were watching them at was really annoying, and there were beams that blocked visibility. Also, the Wallflowers themselves played for about two hours, but only played 4 songs I know, and I own 2 albums. They were pushing their new stuff. The crowd really came alive when they played One Headlight, but I wish they maintained that level of entertainment for the whole show, and not just one song.

With a more "Jam Band" sound the Wallflowers killed it the first half of the show with songs from the new album. The middle of the show had "softer side" songs but the ended strong with a hit songs, One Head Light, Sixth Avenue Heartache and The Difference. The New Song "Reboot The Mission" is a great tribute to The Clash. The new album coming out on Tuesday October 8th maybe their best work. Great two hour plus show. Ticket price was only $25.00 (plus $8.00 Tickmaster charge) would love to see them again! Great Show!

I have always like the Wallflowers when Jacob Dylan is with them. I know, I know the comparisons to his Dad are obvious and abundant. But, I have to day it: Seeing Jacob with this exuberant, hard driving, well syncopated, and rhythmically well put together band is almost like seeing Bob with The Band back in the day. The did their new release as well as their best known hits from their catalog. A great show at a great venue. What more can one ask for? T-Shirts only $15.00 too!

The Florida Theatre is a small venue (1900 max capacity I think) and it was a great place to see this band. The theatre itself is an experience, we were seated in the 'LOGE' which is in the balcony and is the only section of the theatre that still had the original seats from 1927. We still had a clear view of the stage and I was able to get some awesome pictures. They allow photos as long as there is no flash (although others were using the flash, I did not.) One of the ushers even offered to take a picture of my husband and I together. It was a quick walk down the steps and through the doors to the bar and bathroom, they had one on each floor. The band sounded AMAZING in this little theatre and put on a great show. The crowd was really appreciative and with their music it was an adult crowd without any head-bangers and no one got hurt!

I had seen Wallflowers a couple of other times over the years in and around DC and was excited about seeing them in such a small venue. It was a "nice" show but more mellow then I had hoped. I realize a number of their songs are on the "mellow-side" but I was hoping for a little more energy. GREAT venue.

Jacob Dylan impresses the senses with Oak tree canopy backing up an exquisite sunset hue small place amphitheater show. Ever evolving backup musicianship graced the Mysterious Lead as sunlight quentched each angled, relaxed fan upon delightful wine held positions de' relax. If an artist would ever had premiered their softer self, 'Mr. Dylan' would not have suceeded with more class than the velvet theaters he has since harmonized on this easy-to-be summer tour. Character with creative survival, faced with the ever present "chick" he stopped all band functions to ask (the gal), "what exactly do you have planned in mind?" Baffled, she leaned forward with the weight of anything held that was real. The Wallflowers pulled together real and giving and A generation's Summertymes' latest harmonizing fate. This was my first concert at the Showbox and it did not dissapoint. I have been a huge Wallflowers fan for a while and this was also the first time I have seen them. I really liked how close you were to the stage. It didnt really matter where you were, you were going to be close no matter what. Very intimate setting. I also liked how there were multiple bars. This was nice because wait time for drinks was low if any. Seating by the bars was also tiered with different levels so you could see. It was nice. I saw Queens of The StoneAge at The Paramount a year or two ago and I would prefer The Showbox now. The Paramount was nice but there was something about the Showbox that I really liked. The Wallflowers were very good. They sounded great. I really liked "God Dont Make Lonely Girls," "Nearly Beloved," and "Closer to You." I only wish I hadn't been hungover from a bachellore party the night before :) It was great.

On June 17th, 2009, I saw The Wallflowers live in concert for the first time! I have been wanting to see them live for at least 10 years now, so it was a great experience, especially since I scored FRONT ROW, CENTER STAGE! It was a small venue in Saratoga, CA, with about 800 people in attendance. I was literally 15 feet from Jakob Dylan. I was very excited to be up that close but it was actually kind of intimidating. I was afraid to get up from my seat for fear of insulting/distracting/annoying Jakob so I spent have the show having to pee really bad...haha...Needless to say, the show was AWESOME and I would definitely drive 3 hours to Saratoga to see them again...I love concerts in small, intimate venues a lot better than big stadium tours...

It was great to see Jakob Dylan back on the stage even with a new band. The acoustics at the venue were awful. The set started strong with Three Marlenas but followed with new songs the audience was not familiar with. Dylan also changed the cadence of many songs making them unrecognizable until well into the song. The set ended strong which was good. I look forward to hearing more from the band.

The venue was great but the performances were the best. Both bands were having fun and gave the audience everything they wanted!

Better than E were full of energy and very entertaining but at times their live sound lacked the nuance they consistently master in the studio. The Wallflowers were flawless and charming with a refreshing lack of the typical rock star ego overload. I'd like to take them all out to dinner and have a good chat.

Great Show! Jacob D is starting to grow into his own, the crowd banter and the sense of enjoyment the band seemed to have playing for the crowd made the show for me. Thanks for coming to town boy's!

I'd seen the wallflowers before and they were good, but I bought the tickets to see bte. Their sound wasn't good. Most likely because they were the opener. They seemed more intent on pleasing the casual fan than being serious about the music. They've got a bunch of great music and it wasn't well represented.

This was my first time at the Rose Center and it was a great experience. The venue is nice, staff was exceptionally pleasant and it is a great place to see bands up-close and personal. I hadn't yet seen Better Than Ezra or The Wallflowers in concert prior to this one, they both put on a great show.

Better Than Ezra put on an outstanding show and rocked the house. They are great musicians with an underrated catalog, and also performed some covers with incredible sound. The Wallflowers were good musically, just didn't match the energy or make the connection with the audience like BTE.

Better Than Ezra was much more entertaining than I expected. They were very engaging with the crowd as well. The Wallflowers were spot on as well. The only glitch was in the sound. The lead guitarists amps on stage were way too loud and drowned out Jakob Dylan's vocals for those that were upfront.

Wallflowers we're OK. Jakob Dylan forgot lyrics to "One Headlight" and was somewhat uninspiring. His lead guitarist as the star of the show.

Clearly this show was backwards and Better than Wallflowers should have been the headliner. Ezra was a very high energy performance followed by a sleeper IMHO.

First time at this venue and LOVED it. The opening act which covered Neil Young songs was amazing. It rare that we attend a show and absolutely love the opening act. Jacob and the Wallflowers were great. Our only issue was the sound mixing. When the Wallflowers performed it was very difficult to understand any of the lyrics . A few nights later, we went to City Winery to see Peter Wolf and the sound mixing there was incredible...every word was clear. All in all, it was a wonderful evening.

First time seeing the Wallflowers. I enjoyed the show... especially the radio hits as I'm not well versed in their catalog. Opened with 3 Malenas. Nothing fancy, not even a backdrop. Just Jakob Dylan and the band walk on and start playing. Jakob has a easy rapport with the audience when he decides to talk... he should do it more often. His father had a Woodstock connection and he mentioned that and the Band also. This was 20 year anniversary of Bringing Down the Horse, I really enjoyed the show.... Bearsville Theater is a small venue which I like. I don't enjoy large venues and I don't think they could headline one.

Great show.. too long a wait between first act & start of Wildflowers.. really unnecessary! Seeing Dylan in his birth town, was almost a deja vu. Looked so much like Bob. Beautifuli

The Wallflowers played at the Chameleon Club on 7/31/09. The crowd was dull and the sound was absolutely abominable. Jakob Dylan commented a few times that the crowd seemed reserved, and it affected his performance - artists feed of the energy of the crowd, of which there was almost none, so the Wallflowers' performance was appropriately reserved and (gasp) dull. What a disappointment.

The show itself was good. The venue was hot and dark. Even the band commented on this. They do mix up the songs a little so if you don't mind a change to what is on the album it was great. I would see them again!!

I thought that the Wallflowers did a really good job playing during the night. The only problem with it was that the bass was so strong I could feel it throughout my seat and eventually made me sick to my stomach. This has happened everytime I have seen a show at the Vogue, so I think it is the venue's and not the artist's fault.

The Wallflowers were pretty awesome. They played at Newport in Columbus, Ohio, which I thought was a nice sized venue for this event. It was awesome to see them live. I wasn't expecting another artist to perform, but Serena Ryder played before them. I was blown away by her amazing voice. I would have to say she was possibly my favorite surprise of the night. She reminded us a little of Janis Joplin with a better voice. That girl could sing and she was funny and entertaining. There was kind of a long wait in between sets, but it was ok. I didn't know as many songs as I thought I would when the Wallflowers played, so do your research before hand if you're not a hard core devoted fan. I thoroughly enjoy them, of course, but my knowledge is limited. (I didn't think it was until I went to the concert, haha). They played a very entertaining set, however, that has inspired me to listen to them more. Overall, go see the Wallflowers. It's a good time.

Great show. Never knew anything about Jakob Dylan's personality, but he was really funny, really likable on stage. They did some really cool "jam-band" type renditions of "God Don't Make Lonely Girls" and "Shy of the Moon." And they played all the big hits, like "One Headlight," "Three Marlenas," and "The Difference." All in all, just a really great show.

It was really cool to see the Wallflowers at the Newport. The intimacy of the venue helped make the concert a very memorable event. The sound was great and the band (of course) was amazing. What's great about the Wallflowers is that even though most people know them for a couple songs (especially 'One Headlight'), those songs really encapsulate their whole sound, so you can really enjoy hearing them play without having to know every word to every song. It's just a fun, fun time. I would definitely reccommend going to see the Wallflowers to anyone, especially at a smaller venue like the Newport.

I like Wallflowers. I actually really liked them since the very begging because of their innovative and modern sound. Last night was the first time I saw them playing live and I was so disappointed. :-( It sounded like Bob Dylan at his worst. Jacob doesn't interact with the crowd?!? He turns his back so often in between the songs that breaks the continuity of the show. It just doesn't feel natural. I love their CDs so much that last night was just very disappointing!!

Jakob Dylan and The Wallflowers performance at The Pageant in St. Louis Sunday night was amazing! Not only did they do an extra long show, all of them came out to sign autographs and take pictures with the fans afterward. They were gracious and humble as they thanked us for coming out to see them. It was definitely one of the best concerts I've been to.

Saw the Wallflowers at The Vogue in Indianapolis last night. The 1st half-hour was great, very lively. The 2nd half hour though was way too slow, with about 4 or 5 consecutive songs that just didn't get the feet tapping. We left at this point.

I really like the Wallflowers CD's, but their concert at the Vogue on 7/28 was not very enjoyable. Their performance sounding nothing like their CD's. The words and the music were played at random paces and popular songs were unrecognizable. Great venue for an up and personable concert, but my wife and I were pretty disappointed. -Jonny

Thinking back to when I first heard The Wallflowers, when they started to get a lot of radio play and fame brings back memories of starting my freshman year in high school. The Wallflowers sound is probably one of the most memorable of the mid to late 90's. And i have to say they haven't lost their magic. Even though I'm sure they're tired of them, they played all 3 of their big radio hits from 'Bringing Down the Horse" and drive the audience wild. But luckily they played a lot of lesser knows but just as good songs. I was really glad that they played so long...including the encore, they played for over 2 hrs (which is really rare now-a-days).
