Just watching Jason and Kevin together was heartwarming. The banter back and forth was heartwarming and hilarious. I could sit and watch those two read the phone book.

Love their movies and seeing them in person is a night you will never forget. First getting to see Kevin Smith and producer Scott Mosier doing their Smodcast for the internet and then the Jay and Silent Bob Show. It was money well spent. On a side note, Jason Mewes is a true gentlemen to the fans. We met him before the show when he got out of the bus early to come sign for us as we waited by the side entrance and also stuck around at the merchandise table afterwards to sign and take photos. It's not one of those deals where you have to buy something to have it signed either. We bought posters signed by he and Smith, but he'll sign your tickets and patiently take photos. He also writes funny little things when he autographs there. Thanks Smith, Mosier, and Mewes for a great night that my nephew and I will never forget and thanks for caring so much about the fans Mewes. Hope to see you guys again soon!

The show was two 1.5 hour podcasts. The first was good with Kevin Smith leading a discussion of the film Mallrats with Scott Mosier. I haven't seen the film for a number of years so I couldn't follow the entire discussion. I was amused overall. The second part was hilarious. Jason Mewes dominated the conversation with stories of rehab, and Kevin providing great one liners. I couldn't stop laughing at Jason mimicking sexual acts.

It was amazing to see not only Kevin Smith and Jason Mewes live, but Scott Mosier was there to record a podcast, as well. TWO SHOWS FOR THE PRICE OF ONE! Jay and Silent Bob Get Old and SModcast for one low ticket price.

It was fun to see Kevin interacting with Scott Mosier and Jason Mewes. I was left very much missing the q&a that Kevin Smith is known for. The podcast was interesting but I find it much more entertaining when he is interacting with his loyal fans and being the quick witted hilarious guy that he is. All in all, worth seeing and enjoyable but it was a bit drawn out at 3 hours. I'd still take 3 hours of the q&a though!!!!

Jay and Silent Bob Get Old was hilarious! The Smodcast was amazing with Kevin Smith, and Jason Muse took over a lot of the actual show. There was not a time that I wasn't laughing!!

I have never seen them perform aside from the movies, and I thought this was hilarious. It was in comparison to being a fly on the wall during one of their daily conversations. Also included a recording of a SMODcast, which was a review of Mall Rats by Kevin Smith when he was under the influence .. I have never laughed so hard!

First let me say that both shows were great. It was nice to see Mos, and both shows were up to their standard level of humor and entertainment. What ruined the night however was the seating itself. Just so everyone knows, the seating is not stacked by row, as it might be on your local theater. It is stacked by section. My wife and I had seats in the 20th row, so typically they would have been great seats, but with 4 or 5 other rows in front of us it was a bit of a pain when the two guys you are watching just sit there all show. During some sort of magic show it might not have been a problem but it was annoying enough to kinda ruin the 1/2 half of the night for us. After the first show we asked to be re-seated and the staff was great and found us a place in the balcony. Much better. A final word...Women, I appreciate that you want to go out looking good, but please leave the updo's and the bumpits at the door when you are going somewhere when you know you will have people sitting directly behind you.

I have seen Kevin's Q&A live but this was 10 times better simply for the fact that Mewes AND Mosier were there. I would pay good money to go again, and that is saying something big b/c we had to drive 4 hours to this show.

Both Smodcast and Jay and Bob get old have been perfected over the course of years. So much so that Smith knows exactly how to lead a conversation, what will get the biggest laugh, and he knows the capabilities and responses of his cohorts and audience. Just hilarious.

The first hour of the show was a "Smodcast", which I didn't enjoy. I purchased my ticket to watch Jason Mewes & Kevin Smith - not Scott Mosier & Kevin Smith. Then, there was supposed to be a 10 minute break, which turned into nearly an hour for no apparent reason. The show resumed with Jason Mewes doing a 30 minute monologue about masturbation, during which Kevin Smith could barely get a word in. The show ended with a "game", which consisted of an audience member performing scenes from Notting Hill with Jason Mewes. Very little of interest in the show. If I had it to do over again I would have stayed home and watched Dancing With the Stars.

Great show with exactly what was expected: dirty stories and great commentary! Jason Mewes even came out to the lobby and signed autographs and let people take pictures which was very much appreciated! Only sour note: About 30 people stayed after the show, hoping to see Kevin before he got on the bus. Security insisted that Kevin would be coming out to the lobby. They lied. Kevin jumped on the bus as soon as the VERY small (5 max) group of loyal fans left the backstage door. Before you jump, understand that I KNOW that he could have better things to do / needed more secrurity to protect himself /etc. The lying itself is my issue.

Having listened to the various Smodcast Entertainment Network podcasts over the last couple of years they have rapidly become favorites of mine. As an east coaster in the same age range as Kevin and his various friends and fellow podcasters, I identified with a lot of what they talk about and enjoy straight talk, without all the bullshit from a Hollywood personality. Being able to see Kevin, Jay, and Scott while they were riffing added a new and better dimension to just listening to the podcasts. Kevin has a great ability to talk off-the-cuff and respond quickly to outbursts from the crowd without hesitation and with witty retorts. Jay can be visual at times, lying on the stage to simulate a sexual position, and Scott is just Scott, the most level headed of the bunch, but has an excellent rapport with Kevin after years of working together and friendship. I brought along my new girlfriend of 5 weeks who had no knowledge of Podcasts or even who Kevin, Jay, and Scott were, but even she spent the better part of the evening laughing. If you have a decent sense of humor, then you will enjoy this show.

An excellent show. I was surprised as I am more of a fan of Smodcast than J&SBGO, but Kevin and Jason brought the house down with candid and humorous discussion of everything from whether or not Kingston is actually in New York to Mewe's sexual exploits during his drug use. For me, one of the most funny and ironic moments was when the management of the theater told of the upcoming events such as the Ulster County Symphony Orchestra. Excellent show, worth the money and worth the drive from Albany.

I thought the first half with Kevin Smith and Scott Moshier was very funny. They have a great rapport. It was like eavesdropping on a hilarious conversation. Smith's musings upon re-watching Mallrats while stoned were fantastic. Then the intermission was a long, unfunny commercial for some video game. For the second half, Moshier was replaced by Jason Mewes (Jay). This half got less laughs. The only reference to the titular characters of this show was the fact that Kevin donned a backward baseball cap. It was mostly Mewes telling stories about getting laid and scoring drugs back when he was an addict. It was boring. It seemed like they were just going out of their way to be dirty because Kevin Smith fans would expect that. The only times they got a genuine (read: Not uncomfortable) laugh was when Smith would chime in. Smith is genuinely funny, Mewes is just raunchy. The improv with the "audience member" fell kind of flat. I would still recommend this to a Smith fan, because there were some entertaining moments.

The Neptune is a great venue for this type of show--big enough to let in a good number of Kevin Smith's legions of fans, but small enough to still feel intimate--and when it comes to Kevin Smith, intimacy is basically the #1 requirement. Overall, it was a great show in a cute theater, within walking distance from tons of great food spots. 10/10 would go again!

I am not a die-hard Jay & Silent Bob fan, but I must say it was definitely worth to go to their show. Of course there was some stupid stoner humor, but there were also a lot of real life issues discussed. There was some serious heart-to-hearts and the mix of the immature, foolish humor and the "real talk" made this a very interesting, and very entertaining show. I would recommend this show.

Kevin Smith and Jason s Mewe s were hilarious. What was not hilarious was how insanely hot it was within the venue and the seats were so close together that I could not even sit in my own seat because the person next to me needed more room. Kevin Smith and Jason Mews are the most down to earth celebrities you'll ever meet. Yeah, you'll get the drug, sex and fart jokes, but that's because that's a part of who they are. They still show that they are genuine and geniuses. And really, they do it for the love appreciation of their fans and you can feel that. And knowing that it's something that helps Jason stay on the straight and narrow makes it that much better. A night listening to Kev and Mewsie is always fantastic. They talk with their audience at a personal level. It's like having a regular conversation amoungst your friends.

I'll admit I went into this with some reservations. The made-for-TV version of Kevin Smith is just not very funny (Comic Book Men, Talking Dead, etc.) but having spent many of my younger years watching his movies I couldn't resist the opportunity to see Jay and Silent Bob. Let me just say, thank God I did. It turns out that unedited and unfiltered Jason Mewes and Kevin Smith are as funny as ever. They were so funny that even the lady friend I was with (nudge nudge, wink wink) who had never even heard of Kevin Smith wanted to start a movie marathon that very night following the show. To be fair, that may be more of an indication of her bizarre sense of humor than of the performance of Smith and Mewes, but shut up and take the compliment already! Cheers.

Got to the venue with time to spare. Great parking spot , great seats, drink in hand and 15 minutes till the show was due to start. Unfortunately the show started 30 minutes late so we sat there for 45 minutes. Not a good way to start the evening. Kevin and Jason finally came out and it was amusing for the first 15 minutes then I started looking at my watch. Kevin is clever and I wish he had done most of the talking. He is an amusing story teller and a good public speaker. Jason is awkward and rambling. The humor is grade school playground stuff that wears thin fast. I finally said to hell with it I wasn't going to waste both my money AND my time. The money was gone but I could still recover some of my time. We got up and walked out 35 minutes into the show and I am glad we did. I don't feel like I missed a thing. The movies will always be a pleasure but I won't try a live show again. Maybe if it had just been Kevin we would have enjoyed ourselves. I don't recommend this show.

I'm a play-it-safe homebody. I've never been to a concert, play or any type of show on a stage. This year I decided I wanted to change that and "Jay and Silent Bob Get Old" was my first event. I'm glad I went, it was friggin' hysterical. Just listening to these two best friends tells us great stories from their youth or from just a couple of weeks ago is great entertainment. Not only are the stories they tell far removed from your average human experience, but they're great story-tellers and it makes them that much more interesting. If you enjoy Smodcast, Kevin's love for heavy dialog in his movies or the various "An Evening With Kevin Smith" movies, you're going to fully enjoy this show.

If you've never listened to their podcast, you need to know up-front that it's pretty much just the two of them sitting there talking to each other for a couple of hours. Mewes gets up from the table occasionally, and at the end there's some fan interaction, but for the most part, it's them sitting there at a table, shooting the....well, talking. That might not sound very exciting or entertaining, but if you're a Kevin Smith fan, you'll be laughing so hard, your face will hurt (trust me, it happened to me). If you're still unsure, google their podcast and have a listen - it is what it is.

If you're a fan of the podcast, it's worth it to go. Since the podcast is audio only you never can see what's going on because Jay is pretty animated even outside of the games they play at the end of the show. I have only two caveats - aside from getting the visuals, this is EXACTLY what you can hear for free on the SModCast network, albiet a couple of weeks earlier than it's published. Secondly, the merchandise table at our event only took cash. Not exactly a deal breaker, but something to remember. Speaking of merchandise, my only complaint was the Forgeticus Saga card shaped flash drives they were selling for $10. Yeah, it's signed by Smith, but it's five older SModCast episodes that you can get online for free. The kicker is the flash drive is only half a gig, so it can't even double as decent size portable storage. Fans will love this. New people should be broken in by listening to other episodes online first because the subject material is definitely not for the faint of heart or the easily offended.

Kev and Jay were great. Jay was so animated on stage and it was great to "see" what was happening behind the podcast. Would love to go again!

I listen to the podcast regularly and it can be hit or miss sometimes but Jason Mewes and Kevin Smith were on. Jason with his hyperactive visual demonstrations had us laughing so hard we were crying within 5 minutes. Kevin really lets Jason shine and it's great to see Jason grow as a person in leaps and bounds. Having seen him previously on q&as on dvds it is amazing to see the transformation from awkward and shy to a funny story teller. And Kudos to Kevin for not giving up on Jason.

The show was great, very entertaining throughout, and well worth the admission price. I think some people go into this with no real knowledge of the podcast, and that makes them feel somewhat letdown when it's not the normal Q and A that Kevin Smith would do.

I do improv comedy. The chance to go on stage and do a skit with Jason Mewes, a guy I have laughed at since high school was a thrill that I don't see being overtaken anytime soon.

My second time seeing this show and they always entertain! Great story tellers and are open to share A LOT about themselves. This is NOT for everyone so if you are not familiar with Kevin's work in Movies or Podcasts - take a listen.. VERY ADULT..VERY SEXUAL...VERY FUNNY!!!! can't wait to go again!!!!

I love all of the Smodcast Podcasts, so I knew I would love seeing them live. My husband doesn't listen to any of them, and he found this to be just as enjoyable. Kevin Smith and Jay Muse are just as funny/relivent as they were in Clerks.
