I was sitting at a nearby bar and the bartender asked what brought me to the area. I said, Mickey Gilley concert. She replied; when I saw he was coming I was shocked, I thought he was dead. For 80 years old, he still sounds great. Can't wait for his new CD out soon; "Kickin' It Down The Road" An hour and a half of pure enjoyment. Brought back memories of when I lived in Pasadena near Gilley's. Not only did I hear great music, I was reminded of his many health conditions I'm sure I read about but had forgot. He sure does have 9 lives. I wish he stuck around to sign autographs, but he is 80. Great show Mickey.

The concert was great. Johnny and Mickey are incredible performers. They both are so charasmatic. They told stories about their careers and the inspiration for the songs they wrote. They also shared many memories from Gilley's.

As in the review above we were sadened by Mickey' s Condition. I knew he was sick but didn't know to extent of his situation. Needless to say his performance was not up to standard. My wife and I have seen his performance at least 10 times and we always Always enjoyed his show. We definatley will NOT go to his ahow unless we are sure it will be up to his previous standard.

Did not compare to the show in Branson that we've been to. I know his back injury had some effect on it, but MG did a good job considering. Joey Riley was just as funny as ever and a great asset to the show. Some of the audience was very rude in loud talking when they were peforming and some people standing up in front of other people trying to see the show.

Good music but poor audio mostly due to location of event. The hall is multi-purpose and not good for a concert. I would recommend seeing Gilly but not at that location.

I had not heard about Mickey Gilley's fall and partial paralysis. I have waited about 30 years to finally see him and it was worth the wait. His courage to perform with his injuries is amazing. He is so brave and I was happy as a lark to be there. The venue at Belterra was nice and not too smoky in the concert hall. Mickey Gilley was great, his voice was fantastic and his courage was the best. I loved it!

Mickey Gilley sat in an office chair the entire concert. I know this was a result of a bad injury he suffered, but we should have been made aware of his situation at the time we purchased tickets. My group bought tickets to see him play piano. He is a masterful piano player. He is known more for his piano playing than his singing voice. He did not play the piano at all. Also, he sang for only about 45 minutes. The rest of the show was other band members singing and alot of talking...lots of talking and jokes.

Mickey looks good for his condition (his fall and recovery in process). He needs to color is hair brown like he use to look. He put on a good show. Saw him in Branson and was great. I hope he continues to recover and gets back to playng the piano. He will be in our prayers.

The whole program was fantastic. I just wish I had a video that I could show my friends and play over and over. Mickey is a walking miracle and pray God wil heal him 1100%. I would highly recommend anyone to see his show in Branson. LOVED IT!!!

Mickey Gilley show is great. He still has a beautiful voice and is very entertaining. The whole show was worth the cost of tickets and our drive from Houston. The Delta Downs venue is perfect to see a show. This is our third time to attend a show there and we love it. The closeness to the star is very intimate.

Knowing that Mickey Gilley is 80 I wasn't sure what to expect from him. The second he started singing, I was excited to hear that he sounded like he always did. He took a few breaks but that's to be expected at his age. Alot of singers don't have it anymore but Mickey still sounds good. If you are thinking about seeing him don't wait. We're losing all the good ones

We enjoyed our date night with dinner followed by hours of fabulous music. Mickey Gilley did a great job and has such a strong voice ... and he's 80! Johnny Lee was not only a musician but also a comic performer. We enjoyed his stories and would love to see him return to The Majestic. We enjoyed the slideshow as well as it told the story of Mickey's life in becoming a star. Loved the performances so much and so well worth the money. If you missed it, you really missed it! The songs made us want to watch Urban Cowboy again.

The venue was out of this world...very magical..I was assisted by ushers to my correct seat....When people speaking behind me got loud the little flash shined on them to quiet down..Now as for the performers....Holy Chihuahua.....the sound was perfect...they sang on key....and I even got to shake JOHNNY LEE'S hand...got shirts, bumper stickers and autographed pictures....

I saw Mickey Gilley in concert 25-30 years ago, when he was in his prime. Despite the accident he suffered in 2009 leaving him disabled, he didn't disappoint the second time around. His voice is still pure and true, and he sang hit after hit. I loved the way he shared his story with the audience, the good and the maybe not so good past. His jokes were funny and especially references to his cousins Jerry Lee Lewis and Rev. Jimmy Swaggart. His band and the two backup singers were great too. Was nice that he highlighted the singers and allowed them a solo spotlight. I would pay to see it all again.

I had not seen Mickey for probably 30 years. I was blown away by his performance. It was so unique with the different clips they had during his show. Even though we all have grown older, his voice has not changed a bit!!!! I would make that trip again. By the way, I live in Tennessee and this was held in Oklahoma.

This is not a fair review.. We got there 1 1/4 hours late due to massive horrible 8 auto/ truck crash on the interstate I- 10 The part of the show we saw was a -3- on a scale of 10. We love Mickey Gilly.... Been fans for 30 years... seen three of his shows last 3 years..... his voice is not so strong... still sounds good..........His female backups really carried the show... Mickey is OLD---looks OLD---moves as a old man moves... I will not see another of his shows. He needs to go ahead and retire........It's as if He's just doing the show to keep his group working.... Seeing him as he is ----breaks the heart....A legend is about to be history.. .Da GOAT says all dis..& responsible for this review..

This was a fantastic show. For two gentlemen who are 72 and 82 years old (and being through all of the health and physical issues that Mr. Gilley has over the years), they can still perform beautifully. They mixed in some interesting facts and entertaining commentary around the songs. Johnny Lee performed a set of his work first, then Mickey Gilley, and then they came on together and did a ~20 montage of the songs from Urban Cowboy. Their voices are still strong and smooth, just like in the Urban Cowboy days. What really impressed me was that they did a meet-and-greet after the show and they sat there and signed autographs and took pictures until the last person was through the line...and that line was wrapped around the back of the casino after the show. They love their fans, they love country music and they love what they do. I'd go see this show again, no question.

Mickey is older but still hasn't lost it! He still has a great personality and the same great voice. It was a fun time with good music, good humor with others that enjoys his music. We drove from Alabama to South Louisiana to see him and almost didn't make it because of a wreck but got there right at show time and was entertained to whole time. We really enjoyed the show Saturday night at Belterra. Very impressed that Mickey and Johnny Lee took so much time to meet and greet fans after the concert. I know they were there for well over an hour. So good to see how far Mickey has come since his 2009 accident. So lucky to even be around. Hope the piano playing comes back, but, nevertheless, the singing from both was great. Only problem was the people beside us who wouldn't shut up. Most of the time we had a good view of the stage. Maybe that area could be elevated so that view is better. We were able to move to the 2nd row, but the talking was still a big problem. .

Always wanted to see Mickey Gilley. Finally got to and he was fabulous. He is still very with it and his voice is as good as ever. He never forgot any words and was always in tune. At 80 years old, he is amazing. He can't play the piano anymore because of an accident a few years ago and I did miss that but he has a keyboard player who is awesome! My husband and I loved every minute of the concert and would definitely go again.

I have never seen Mickey ever but I wanted to because I became a fan of his when I was in college in the early 80's. It was a dynamic concert and he told his story and history and I found out a number of things I did not know about him. He can still hit the notes!
