Bill Pickett Invitational Rodeo

This was our first Bill Pickett Rodeo. I was really impressed and inspired by the female riders.

This event was pure enjoyment and appealed to all ages. Must attend!

This was fun for all ages and a teaching moment. I took a 12 y.o. girl from my church and she had a ball. I was also able to show her some Black History and let her know how the different events were used in real life.

The rodeo was a very entertaining experience and was great for kids and adults. I took my 9 year old for the first time and he loved it...Great Show!

I think this is a great event, what might help is more advertisement, and event door prize to the next Bill pickett Rodeo. I think also a little story of how the rodeo started who Bill Pickett was and educationally for children and adults who do not even know who Bill Pickett is. Sometimes you don't know the history behind the event. This must be done at every Rodeo.

I loved the Bill Pickett Rodeo. I was very excited and watching the cowboys and cowgirls kept me on the edge of my seat. I did not know that I would get that caught up in the excitement. I also took my five year old grandson. I wanted him to know that "Black Cowboys and Cowgirls are for Real". I watched a lot of cowboy pictures as a child and never saw a Black cowboy. I promised my grandson that next year he could participate in Calf Scramble (where the children chase the calf around the arena).

This event was a good family event. The vendors at this function were very pleasant and had reasonable prices for rodeo souvenirs. It was great to meet the people from the show afterwards. I wish i would have went to this event last year. The rodeo inspires you to want to learn how to ride horses. The horses were beautiful and the riders spectacular. I will go again next year!!

You definitely get your money's worth! This event has quickly become the highlight each year! My family and I have attended 2 and can't wait to go again!

My mom and I came from Atlanta, GA to attend the Bill Pickett Rodeo. It surpassed my expectations. My mom had been to several rodeo's in the past. This was my first rodeo and I had an absolute blast! I'm already thinking about planning a girls' trip in 2017. It was fun, exciting to watch and to see our people enjoying themselves.

I'm 65 and I go every year, this time I took my 13 year old grandson. we both had a great time. I even took a few pictures with some of the cowboys. i'm a redskin fan and the only cowboys I love are from the bill pickett rodeo

Lots of fun. This was my first rodeo. Loved seeing a long tradition continued. Enjoyed the various vendors and organizations that came out too. Special thanks to The Buffalo Soldiers organization. General admission is not recommended. The event was packed and folks were saving seats. My husband and I had to stand for most of the show.

The Bill Pickett Rodeo is an amazing event. This is an event for all ages but it is such a experience that I think people of all ages will enjoy.

I really enjoyed the show. The participants were very good and made sure the crowd was interactive with the activities going on.

Every american especially black american should go to this event and learn about forgot black cowboys,and cowgirls history.

This was my first ever rodeo and I had so much fun. Although it was a little long for me I found all the events fascinating. I like how they allowed the kids to come out and chase the calves.

Phenomenal, it was extremely exciting. I loved it so much and can't stop talking about it. This was my first time and I will be coming again for life.

Looking forward to the next rodeo and plan to bring more friends.

This was my first rodeo and it won't be the last. Took the kids with a group and loved it. Exposure to something new and an appreciation for talent of the participants. My girls want to start riding lessons.....way to go Bill Pickett Rodeo!!!!!!

A wonderful first class event from start to finish. We even got to meet one of the cowboys! I can't wait to go again next year.

Love the rodeo. Though it was pretty long, it seemed like there were less events and/or not enough competitors for each event.

I will keep this short and simple.. I can't wait to see it again.

This was my first time attending the Bill Pickett Rodeo, but it will not be my last. I really enjoyed everything about it (including the vendors). The food was very good too.

I plan to go next year. It's a great family event. There are even activities for the kids.

The event was very interesting, I had never seen an arena with cowboys and cowgirls at the same time. It was awesome plus the event was family oriented. My family will definitely be present next year!!!!

Fun! A lot of action...the actor Clifton Powell was there.

The actually rodeo was good. However, it started 45 min late and the actual rodeo events did not start for an hour and a half after the original time. Also, there was too much time in between each event. We left early. But it was a good show once it got going and would recommend it other than the time issue.

I had an amazing time at the Bill Pickett Rodeo. The events were fantastic. The view was beautiful. It was a great time for the whole family!

As usual, the rodeo was great! It did start a little late, but it was worth the wait. My only concern, one that I had not experience to quite this degree, was the amount of people standing at the fences blocking the view of the audience. I remember security moving people along at past events. Moving those people would have been helpful for those of us sitting in the first few rows. I recommend this event for anyone interested in rodeo. For those who are not generally interested in rodeo, this event will make you a fan! Yeee hah!!!!!!

I have never been to a rodeo show in my life, I enjoy the heck out the show. I had a great time and will return when there a show in area.

Greatest show ever. Exciting from beginning to end - the riders are stellar! A "must-see" for everyone and big fun for families with kids and teens too.

This was the first time I have ever been to a rodeo. I watch it on television all the time. Nothing comes close to what I witness on 9/24. All I can say is I will see yall again.

I and my god son attended the rodeo and he was amazed by all he saw. I believe that evening he will remember forever. He is only three year's old but to see him stand and clap for each performance is a memory for myself as well. I have had the oportunity to ride all over the world by being X military so I know the joy of it. Thank you for helping me show him the one of the finer things in life!
