What can I say. Simply an amazing performace by an amazing and talented musician. Billy played hits from each of his albums. Guitar work was incredible. The crowd was small, I don't think the event was advertised much. Billy did not let the small crowd deter his show. Billy jammed for a little over 2 hours.

This is the greatest concert that I have been to in a while. He was wonderful on Oct. 3, 2009 and he was great back in the late 70's when I watched his concert. Still has the original bass guitarist from his band. The new ones are the drummer, keyboard, and guitarist.

The concert was great. Billy sounds like he always did. Maybe a little grayer, but we all are. He was treated the crowd like they were all his friends. I hope he comes around again.
The show and Billy Squier was very good. Seating on the floor was very tight. Chairs should of been placed a little farther apart.

Billy Squier is amazing live, and we catch him whenever he is in the area (which isn't too often.) So it was great to see he was gonna be in A/C. I've always been skeptical about casino venues, because their entertainment venues aren't on the top of their priority lists. And this concert confirmed this concern.....the sound was HORRIBLE. The lead guitar mix was up so loud that the vocals were indistinguishable, and if your a Squier fan, that's why you're there....to hear Billy's voice. Multiple people in my row and section even got up and went back to the soundboard, and the kid behind the board could care less....He probably parks cars at the valet when they are no concerts that night. Thank god we knew all the words, but if the casual fan was there (or the people who got comped) they probably thought he was horrible. It's a shame, because he put on an amazing performance, running through all the hits and then some, with some great extended solos. The Hilton is a bad place for a concert if you want to hear flawless sound, but Biilly Squier is a great show if you have the chance.

I was not a huge Billy Squier fan when I went to the show, but I am now. I didn't realize how many songs I knew & liked, and the stuff I didn't know rocked. Billy's voice was amazing. I am definitely going to increase my Billy Squier CD collection, and, without a doubt, I would go see Billy Squier again.

This is my forth time seeing Billy Squier, and to date the best. A great variety of music, stemming from "tale of the tape" Calley oh, to present material. I liked this performance much more, he was in total control, none of the frollicing dancing ive seen him do in the past. His gutair skills were featured prominitley, and he certainly held the crowds attention with the older stuff. Great band interaction, and a really nice venue{penns peak} added to a really nice , flash off my past.. Great JOB Billy and the Band.

Billy played too loud, too long on his ever wondering solo's. Did not play a lot of the songs people came to hear. The venue was OK but I would definitely fire the sound company. The mix was terrible, you couldn't even hear the keyboard. Play the songs people came to hear in the way they came to hear it. Mark

I hadn't seen Billy since he opened for Styx and REO 10 years ago and he only did 35 minutes. Well it was worth the wait. He played many of his greatest hits in an entended version style. I brought a novice with me that had never heard one of his songs and she was very pleased and impressed. A little too much rock and roll for her but not for me. Billy is one cool cat. Don't wait so long to come around again as a solo artist. Keep on rockin us into the night.

I attended the Billy Squier concert this weekend and he is phenomenal. I haven't seen Billy in concert for 25 years and wasn't sure how it was going to be. The man is great! His voice is the same, the instrumentals were amazing. If you're a Billy Squier fan, trust me you won't be disappointed! I have only one gripe for Billy .... he didn't sing "In the Dark" which is my personal favorite.

From his guitar skills to his outstanding vocals, Billy is proving again that he is a true rock STAR! It was great to see Alan St. Jon in the band. Billy delighted everyone with his trademark songs like The Stroke, She's a Runner, Calley-O, Lonely is the Night, and of course, All Night Long. His tribute to Freddy Mercury was touching. Kudos to Billy for returning to the limelight and sharing his talents. I've missed him so much, and am looking forward to hearing more new material and seeing more shows. He's a terrific song-writer, and is definitely one to watch!

I think Billy has one of the best male rock vocals ever, alongside Frankie Valli and Freddy Mercury. Unfortunately, you couldnt hear them. I dont know if it was intentional or not. I saw Huey Lewis a few weeks earlier and I could hear every note of every vocal and it was excellent. Maybe Billys vocals arent up to tour snuff yet. In fact, the sound overall was just terrible so maybe that was the issue. The show was ok with some hits but not great energy. A lot of improvisation and forced crowd participation that took away from the performance. This was my first chance to ever see him after being a fan for some 25 years and I have to say Ill just leave it at this. I wont go back for another show :(

I hadn't seen Billy Squier since the " Creatures Of Habit " tour . He rarely tours anymore , but it didn't show Saturday night in Atlantic City . He was in top form , playing most of the crowd favourites & a few only die hard fans would recognize & enjoy . When you have a long catalog of albums , it's hard to please everyone , but I thought he pulled it off . Everything from the Piper era to Happy Blue was represented . Naturally there was " The Stroke " , " Rock Me Tonite " , " Everybody Wants You " & more that you'd expect , But it was songs like " Strange Fire " & " Calley Oh " that surprised & impressed me . The band was very tight , the venue was full , the sound system was top notch & Billy played for about an hour & a half . He seemed very relaxed , although there were one or two times he didn't seem to trust his voice to reach for certain certain higher notes , but hey , the guy's in his early 50's & he doesn't do this on a regular basis anymore . I hope he tours a little more regularly & I'd love a new album .

Billy's sound guy was asleep at the board! You really couldn't hear the vocals very well. Aside from that, he should have played a better set list. He only played of few of the songs he's famous for. Also, he kind of looked like he was not too happy even being there and playing. That being said, he still can rock out!

Too many tangents and free lance play during the older songs. I had trouble determining when the songs began and ended. His newer material was played well, but very few in the audience were familiar with those songs. Should and could have much better. This could have been a great show - the venue was small and we had 2nd row seats. However, the seats were very uncomfortable and unable to be moved (zip tied together). Luckily we stood for most of the show. The sound quality was horrible - difficult to hear the singing over the guitars and we couldn't hear the keyboardist at all unless he had solos. The set list was ok, just ok. Billy still definitely has the talent, but he didnt really keep me interested during the entire show. Also, encore was boring, except for last song - which was the best of the night, Everybody Wants You. All in all, an ok but not great evening.

The concert was very boring. Aside from the hardcore fans in the first two rows the audience was never really into the show. I was actually in the 5th row which was cool, but still not very exciting. Billy is still in pretty good shape, can stil play the guitar and his voice has held up very well over the years, but he wasn't a great performer 20 years ago and is certainly no better now. All in all it was a fairly cheap Saturday night out in AC and we all had a good time. This was my last Billy Squier show. I'm certain of that.

I would say he has not lost his ability to rock I can believe he well rock for 20 + more years. I've wanted to see Billy since the 70's but somehow our paths had never crossed. I snatched up two fantastic seats and took my friend with me. I'm not sure what was going on in DFW that night, but only about 600 people made it to the show. We were all huddled in the orchestra pit and were able to freely walk up to the stage whenever we wanted to. Billy blew my mind. He rocked and rolled and sang his heart out seemingly to forget that the crowd was so small. Be it 500 or 50,000 people, Billy Squire delivers exactly what you expect him to deliver, songs that rock with a raw sexual energy that leaves you turned on for hours after you get home. Thanks Billy. My night with you was absolutely fabulous.

I drove and hour and a half (I live near Santa Monica) to see Billy Squier and experience the Grove of Anaheim for the first time, and I would do it again in a heartbeat. The parking was easy, the entrance was beautiful, the lines for the concession and merchandise stands were relatively short, and the venue was wonderfully intimate! The opening band was in the concession area following their set and I was able to chat and take photos with them! Although I was in the 4th tier I could still see Billy's face pretty well and the fact that he was so close made everything all the better! He's a great performer and rocker and I just couldn't get enough - even though he played for much longer than I expected!!

Attended the Oct 3rd Billy Squire concert. It had been 28 years since I had seen him open for Foreghner. His opening act "Bright" was aweful. Her band although adequate, was actually better than the singer. Her wardrobe looked like she had nabbed it from the set of an Austin Powers movie. Her Dance moves on stage mostly looked like a 3 year old doing the "PeePee" dance! I was ashamed to find out they were from Dallas. Billy However, saved the evening! His show was simply Billy "Raw"! He explained that this was not going to be a show of just his hits, but of songs from each album over the years that had a personal meaning to him. Great Job Billy! Ditch "Brite" though! Emerald city or Bowling for Soup might have been a better local band choice.

Billy was in fine form, but he didn't play all his hits. Especially for me "In the Dark". There wasn't many people their, but he was gracious enough to play as though it was a full house. I would go again, but he needs more mature musicians, who appreciate that era,and what it means in the book of Rock & Roll. The 2nd guitar player was good, but kept laughing, and rolling his eyes like he was doing Billy a F-n favor. He was pretty full of his self.

I didn't know that Billy was such a good guitarist till I saw him live. His lead guitarist was awesome too. They stretched out some of his songs a little long but was a very good rock show. The only drawback was after paying for the tickets they ripped you off for parking_ $15. I thought that was outrageous. I would have parked at Lone Star Park and walked but it was raining that night.

Probably the worst concert I've ever been too. It was like seeing someone in their garage. His equipment was left over from the 80s...basically no production at all...obviously touring on a shoe-string budget. He didn't play but 3 or 4 of his hits. Billy and crew played to the smallest audience I've seen at Nokia Grand Prarie. As he pointed out, a lot of people missed a good show! His journey took him to the top, with mega-hits, and then his career tailed off as sales declined on later releases. So, was this a tired greatest hit parade?? NO! Billy is obviously playing for the love of music, love of rock guitar, and sharing some quite good songs with interesting arrangements in the process. A host of vintage guitars made appearance from Les Pauls to a Strat, through vintage Marshall heads, providing a great variety of super sounds and textures. Several of the hits had extended arrangements, and lots of guitar solos. The band was excellent, great players all, good harmony backing vocals. Overall sound quality was near the best I've heard at this venue, overall a great show, although I wish more had seen it ! Thanks for sharing, Billy and crew.

He played for a little over two hours and ran through all of his hits and at least one song from each of his albums. The venue at Feather Falls Casino is a great, small intimate place to see a show like this, although once you leave the Showroom you are immediately overwhelmed by cigarette smoke, so I recommend leaving through the back door.

any time i go to see a show of a band that i was a fan of many years ago, it is with optimistic hesitation. it can be a crap shoot. i never want my most recent memory of a live performance of such to be far worse than the one (many years) prior. it can go either way. the 1st time i saw billy squire was before i had even heard of him, when he opened for journey at the ventura fairgrounds. early 80's. for my money, he blew journey away, but i was there for journey cuz my girlfriend wanted to be....go figure. well, billy didn't disappoint me in the least wednesday night, and i'm glad to have it as my most recent memory of him. the grove, for me, is close, freeway convenient/adjacent, easy to get in & out of, very clean, not too big, etc. needless to say, i give this show, the venue, etc., a fairly big "thumbs up". and, that's all i have to say about that------------------------

It was so bad a couple of times Billy looked to the side signaling the roadies he was not happy ,at the end it was turned up to loud and the music became muddy\u2026. I wish Billy could have cut some of the jam sessions down, the band often went too far off on the songs jamming and most of the crowd sat down waiting for him to return to the original riff, I wish the rhythm guitar player could have continued with the original riff it would have helped keep the song on track On Everybody wants you it took 15 minutes to go to the second chorus there is a great guitar riff at the end of each chorus that they never played He tried to drag to many songs out and lost the feel of the song over all a great show Someone close to him should tell him to try to make 80% of the songs almost to the studio cut it would have been much better

It was a good show. He played some new stuff and of course some of his older stuff. At my age the older stuff was great to hear! He had a ton of energy and the show lasted a full 2 hours. He and the band did a little too much jamming (reminded me of rock concerts in the 80's!) and the sound was extremely loud for such a small intimate place. Loved the venue, Aladdin Theater, never been there. Overall I'd recommend if you really like Billy Squier.

I have to say this is the best concert I have been to this year! I was so excited seeing Billy last year at The Fraze with Ringo Starr, but even more excited that he came back solo this year! I had seen Billy back in the 80's when he was excalating to stardom, but let me tell you, HE is only got better! His voice is better than ever...his guitar playing is thru the roof....and the man hasn't changed in appearance much at all.........he still looks amazing! I had the opportunity to talk with him after the show and tell him how he still had game only I think he has perfected it as time has definitely been good to him. He is an extraordinary talent that doesn't get the acknowledgment and credit that he so dutifully deserves! I am so glad he is back out on the road......and making new music and I had the chance to see him again touring and the chance to talk with him. He has an awesome band crew with him! The drummer was fab...a new second guitarist joining him for some awesome solos....a bassist that can rock you like no other... Definitely not a show that I would ever miss! Hope to see him again real soon! Go see him for yourself, you won't be disappointed! There isn't talent as good as this coming to a town near you I guarantee it! Also, when talking with other members in his band I was impressed that the drummer was asking us fans if the sound was good.....you don't get that often...they really care that we got the best of what they were putting out..that matters to me as a fan. The new guitarist complimented the venue as to it was such a beautiful place and that Kettering was lucky to have such. I could go on and on.... but i will end with DONT MISS THIS ONE!!!! Keep on Rockin Billy Squier!!!!! Thank You Fraze Pavilion!!!!

Edgar Winter canceled as opener. A local band opened and did quite well. Bought their CD. Middle band was a bland southern blues-rock outfit that bored me. Billy Squier and his band sounded fine, though he would only hit a high note here and there changing the melody a bit so as to keep from straining his voice. In lieu of specialty effect lighting, they had a backdrop that changed colors and patterns and even made images at times. Pretty neat other than the backlighting prevented me from getting any good pictures. Sadly he didn't play either of his hits from "Tale Of The Tape" and excluded some great tunes from "Don't Say No" (especially "In The Dark"), but did play a couple of later semi-hits that I don't really care for. I didn't expect a lot from this show as B.S. has always been pretty mellow with a flair of great rock here and there, so I was not disappointed other than not playing a couple of songs that I would have loved to hear.

Billy Squier has been my favorite since the release of the Don't Say No album. He truly has never received the recognition he deserves. In my eyes, he can do no wrong. The band was awsome. My favorite being Alan St. John since he has been with him since Don't Say No. My second favorite was the drummer. Not only a great job, but cute as well.

Show had a little bit of a slow start, but after they got warmed up, it rocked the whole way through! Billy Squier did songs from all of his albums. Some more obscure, and of course the great popular songs like "The Stroke," "Rock Me Tonight," and "My Kinda Lover." Seeing him live 26 years ago, I believe Billy's still got it! He added some great preludes and extras to his popular songs to make them that much more desirable and listening to some of the less popular makes you wonder why they never made it big. His guitar work is still awesome and he put together a great band to back him. I would definitely catch another one of his shows!

I couldn't believe how wonderful the concert was!! His voice was great, he sounded just like I remember him in the 80's. Not many bands doing a reunion tour can say that. I would definately go to see him again.

Billy is still in rare form, and if you want an instant flashback to the early 80's.... here you go! Billy's voice sounds as good as ever, and looks like he's 40 instead of almost 60. Played most of his classic tunes and a few others, with his vintage marshall rockin sound and with energy to burn. Catch this tour if you can.... us old folk don't have many chances to relive the past without it sounding smarmy. This is no smarm show, just shear 80's rocknroll. A bonus is that he even dug out of the closet an old Piper tune. Wish he'd bring back more of those.... In any event..... Billy is back with avengence.... Billy, "Everybody wants you"

I grew up listening to Billy Squire in the early 1980's. He's an awesome guitar player, but doesn't work an audience. He just seemed like he was jamming in the garage with his band and could care less that we were there. He played a bunch of songs I wasn't familiar with, which surprised me. I know a ton of his songs. I was going hoping to hear all of my favorites, but was a little disappointed. I did like the screen behind him on the stage that could change into pictures or words. That was very cool.

I had never seen Mr. Squier in concert before; yet I am a child of the 80's. My wife wanted to go, but I was indifferent. WOW!! I was amazed. I had no idea what a guitarist Billy Squier is. You've got to see him before he hangs up his pick. What a rocker!!

I've been to many big and crowded concerts. At first I was thinking that this concert was going to be sad because there were more seats than people, but it was all good. Billy Squier started playing and it was so much fun. I had waited so long to see him. I enjoyed every moment. I didn't want the concert to ever end. Billy Squier put on a great show. I'd like to see him again.

First concert that I've ever left before it was over. My husband and I saw him in Corpus at Concrete Street and left after about 75 minutes. He played nothing he was known for like The Stroke or Emotions in Motion etc. He played alot of instrumental riffs for 15 minutes and would leave the stage and let his individual band members play their instruments for 5-10 min. each, it was sooo boring! I was so pumped to see him I even wore my original Billy Squier Emotions in Motion 1983 tour shirt. That got more attention around my area of the concert than what was going on on stage! It was a very poor performance. However, there was Brewster Street pub down the road about 3 blocks and my husband and I had a blast listening to the band "The Spazmatics". They were way worth the $20 tickets, more so than the $90 I spent on Billy! Major grade of "F" for this one!!
Since he has not toured in 15+yrs extensively, I would have liked a bigger song selection, instead of the extended jams on many songs. But, beggars cant be choosers. I was just happy to see him active musically after such a long dormant period.
Last night's Billy Squier concert was great! The Concert Hall is small enough to have everyone right up close. His guitar playing was amazing. You really got to appreciate it last night. His vocals were right on. He and the band seemed to be having a really good time. Weird place to see a show, because it is similar to a church. Definately different. Unfortunately, although the crowd was into it, they were more mellow than on Long Island in the summer. Long Island rocked the house, while the NYC crowd were more chilled out. Overall though, great show, great time. Last show of the tour. Maybe he'll come back before too long. The small venues are so different. They're just awesome.
I was so happy to see Billy touring after almost 20 years! The intimate setting was the best. Felt close to an icon and listened to him play his hits to the crowd - the best way to see a concert. The sound was great. The lighting was fantastic. The band was professional. And Billy was, as always, entertaining and phenomenal.
ok so my sister and i were like " Billy Squier" is coming to town, should we go?? or not ? we grew up listening to all his music, even from Piper, but our schedules....i bought her a ticket for her birthday present after all, and SO GLAD WE WENT!! The best part is Calley oh of course, and i was suprised to hear shes got rhythm.....all in all it was fabulous! PLUS a 20 min Everybody wants you as a finale! This is the fourth time we have seen him in concert, but the first time we were completely sober haha, it was way better than i could have hoped for . Now i am showing his Rock me tonite video to my husband, and we laugh. Billys still got it!!
The show was very entertaining. It looked like the band was really enjoying themselves. The seating was very comfortable and the service was fantastic,
I was really disappointed that he didn't play more of his greatest hits. He should of played all of them. I mean that is why people went to see him. It was pretty cool watching them jam and all but it was a bit to much. I would not go see him again and that is a shame because he really does have a lot of great songs that we didn't hear. And I think most of the audience probably felt the same way. I can see promoting new songs but I don't even think he did that.
For decades I had wondered why Billy didn't seem to tour much and hoped someday I would get the chance to stand in front of him while he played his best. That day came last night at the Grove in Anaheim. Unbelievably, he can still belt out all those killer tunes he penned back in the 80's, with the polish and passion of a guy trying to win his first record deal. His band was on fire but Billy's guitar playing was unbelievable. His is the guitar god I had always thought he would be. He played non-stop for 2 hours with a couple of blistering guitar solos that left my jaw hanging. His band was tight and sounded soooo good. What an awesome show, what an awesome talent Billy Squier is even after all these years!!! I would pay to see him again in a heartbeat.
I LOVED Billy back in the day, and he didn't disappoint last night! He sounded amazing, his voice is still as great as ever. Of course, I wish he would have played a few more older songs, but the one's he played were really good. There were some awesome guitar solos, I just wish there weren't so many. "The Stroke" went on forever.
Awesome show last night at the Grove of Anaheim. Billy's voice sounded better than ever, and his current band is really tight. The song list was like an "Essentials" type CD you would get from a store, but with cool personal touches added by him and his band. I strongly recommend any past or current Billy fan to make it to their nearest 2009 tour stop , since you never know how long it will be before you get your next opportunity. But its always worth the wait, with Billy, especially now!
At first, I wondered...could Billy still put on a great show and would how will he sound? I am here to tell you, it was a great show. He can still rock-n-roll and sounded fantastic. His love for music and playing the guitar shined through in his performance. He is a very talented artist. He played alot of new songs and usually everyone wants to hear the hits, but his new songs were all great. Of course, he rocked the old ones too. I would recommend this concert to everyone.
After many years waiting for Billy to come back to California, I am happy to say that Billy still knows how to ROCK! The set lasted over 2 hours and he included songs that do not get normal play such as "She's a Runner". I hope that he keeps touring and keeps coming back to So. Cal.
I wasn't sure what to expect, haven't heard much from Billy for years now. Well all I can say is . . . he can still rock it! He sounded great! If he comes to your area and you were a fan back in the 80's, make a point to go see him. Trust me, it will be time well spent. Now granted, we had front row seats which always adds to the experience, but we also had friends further back who loved the show just as much.
ok, so one night while having a nice nite at home with my husband, we hear a Billy Squire tune on our stereo, decide out of the blue, hey I wonder if he still performs concerts? My husband is a an PHish head, ol' deadhead, says "what"? So I go online, and sure enough he is playing in Tacoma. So I order VIP ticket at the Emerald Queen Casino, where neither of us have been. We go, and though the venue was small, it had an intimate feel. There is Billy Squire and his band rockin' out 6 rows in front of us! My husband who has been listening to Billy Squire from CD at least once a week, was standing like a true fan, he was doing "air gituar" singing all the songs and having a great time! He was Squierized back to the 80"s!! The show just rocked the house, they did some old/new songs, and tried new things, well it was great! Keep it up! He sounded the same after all these years, sang the great hits of the time and played with the audiance. What a blast! We were suprised and pleased.
