I have always wanted to see MIKA live and I jumped at the chance when he was in LA last night. He seemed to play EVERY memorable and most loved song from all 3 of his cds. He is so unique and has such high energy - it was great to be able to sing along live with him. So much fun and definitely worth it - I can't wait until he comes to LA again. Anytime he's in town, I'm there.

Grace Kelly Toy Boy Lollipop Blue Eyes Billy Brown Popular I love you, Mika! I know you do and I can hear every word you sing. She covers face in shock. It s a very good thing you sing in tune. It s wonderful….are you crying? Oh, please don t cry! You can cry because you re happy but if you re crying because I ve embarrassed you, I ll feel wretched! She gives him a ‘thumbs up , he reciprocates. This next song is for you, he smiles. Drunk Only Lonely Man Underwater Mika tells us that when he was little his sister took ballet lessons. Not wanting to be left out of the fun, he also wanted to take ballet. His parents would not allow it. Instead, they put his in tap dancing. He once tapped to the song NEW YORK, NEW YORK, and now when he hears the song, he is filled with anxiety. But tap had a big impact on him and that is why you hear the clicking/tapping of spoons on his albums. His band will be simulating tap shoes with drumsticks. He then introduces the next song as The Tap Dance Song aka Stuck in the Middle . This next song is in French. A small group of people cheer. Vous sont le français? They answer in French. Well, you d better be careful. USA, USA, you know, he jokes, Does anyone watch the show NASHVILLE? Ok, well, I do. And it seems like in every episode, someone has a star moment. Like, there ll be a waitress cleaning up and all of a sudden a spotlight appears and she sings a torch song. It s so silly. But I think it s be amazing for it to happen in real life! So does anyone know the English lyrics to this song? Someone volunteers. you know the lyrics? no well, you have to know the lyrics, dear. Ok, then I ll have to do it in French. Cheer as Elle Me Dit begins. Hia Leah (I Need You, That s All) Origin Of Love Big Girls (You are Beautiful) Century Man Relax Celebrate Stardust Happy Ending Mika holds his finger to his lips, for the crowd to be silent. He leaves the piano and goes center stage. He begins singing acapella and then invites us to join him. ENCORE Mika tells us that this song he wrote when he was 16. It is one of the first songs he completed in the studio and felt as though it was fully realized track. Over My Shoulder

Mika walks onstage wearing: Dark blue suit with white stars on his shoulder, cascading down his chest and across his waist. Dazzling blue crystal coated loafers -Toy Boy -Grace Kelly -Popular -Blue Eyes -Talk about you He tells us, The only shows my mother insists on being at are those in America and Lebanon. He goes on to say that while they were rehearsing at soundcheck, his mother left to get food. Hours later, she finally returned with boxes and boxes of food from HOOTERS. He laughs and shakes his head. Unfortunately, the ladies at the restaurant could not attend tonight…because they are otherwise engaged chatting with my mother. So this song is for all the girls at HOOTERS. -Big Girls (You Are Beautiful) -Underwater He asks for the stage lights to be turned off. It s easier to reveal yourself in the dark. I m going to close my eyes so I won t be able to tell YOU do, but it s better this way. Trust me. He continues singing the song and asks the audience to join. -Good Guys -Relax (during the song, he jumps so high and bends his legs so far back, that his heels touch his back. Spoiler Alert: he sticks the landing) -Origin of love He sits at his piano. -Good Wife -Billy Brown He gets up from the piano and it is now that he realizes, I ve split my pants! Someone in the audience encourages his to lose the pants all-together. Take it off! It s ok! Mika sarcastically chuckles. -Last Party -Happy Ending -We are Golden ENCORE: This one is en francais. Danse. Dance. That s all you need to know. -Elle Me Dit A fan hands him a green cap that MIKA spells in bright red patches. He takes it and wears it as he sings. After the song is done, he walks over to the person and offers the cap back. No? It s for me? Mika clutches the cap to his chest and bows in gratitude. He dons the cap and poses to applause. -Love Today

Mika was so good live! He has an amazing voice and I loved that the show was nice and intimate. I had a fabulous time with my friend we were singing and dancing the whole time. There was a good mixture of old favorites from his older albums and songs from his new album. I think the songs were even better live. There was such amazing energy from Mika and his team and they were all so talented. I'm glad that he also took requests from the audience. It was just delightful and an unforgettable evening.

An excellent show. Mika performed for just over two hours and played songs from all 3 of his albums. There was some banter and some interesting tidbits on the history of a few songs. Since the show was stripped down most songs had new (or new to me at least) arrangements, so even very familair songs had a new feel to them. All three performers really worked hard the full time. Mika seemed to be enjoying himself. The crowd sure was.

We flew from Tennessee for this concert, and it was worth every penny we spent on the trip, and even the horrible flight we had trying to get there. Mika is an amazing artist. He interacts so well with the audience that you feel like you are in a group of friends instead of being a spectator at an event. Mika puts his all into his performance. This is a must see show. What a great opportunity to see Mika in a small venue setting.

The venue was a synagogue which made some seats difficult to see from, but he was so dynamic and amazing that seats didn't matter and we were all dancing and moving. What truly made it brilliant was that it was such a small and intimate setting that we could actually talk to him, he took song requests, responded to us, and then he did something that proved to me that MIKA is the greatest live performer of all time. He dropped the mic. Sounds silly but they turned off the speakers and one of his two accompanists played a light piano while he stood at the front of the stage, belting and singing so beautifully and powerfully that the entire synagogue was silent, spellbound.

Loved how the crowd got up and hung on the synagogue's "stage" (pulpit?) for the last few songs... if Mika is gonna play in the states, then DC is the perfect city for him to play in :) i coulda done w/o the dj intro/opening set tho, was weird, everyone rushed in and then had to endure 30 minutes of--- weirdness, not knowing how long it would last. Just hire a ventriloquist or clowns maybe? that would be more MIKA :P I do think that he could make some beautiful noise using more of his regular register, instead of falsetto. It would also go well with his new stripped-down delivery team, and also also move away from SOUNDING like bubblegum pop, even if it isn't (or is it)? Still, great show.

This may have been the most special night of music I have ever heard. I saw Mika at the Webster Hall in NY in October and that was an amazing evening, with full band. But this was unreal. Advertised as an intimate evening with Mika, it was that and a lot more. The highlights were, without a doubt, "Lola" and "Stardust," both sung without a microphone. Simply spectacular.

I love Mika! I wish they would play his music on US radio. The concert was unbelievable. It was great in a small venue. I have never been so close at a concert! I wish he would come to Arizona. The price was good, so I could travel to California. Wish I could see him again. Mika seems like a genuine person and cars about his fans and having fun. At the end of the show my 15 year old said, " I want to be Mika when i grow up." Mika is very unique, I would highly recommend this concert to anyone who likes Mika!

First time I went to Mika's concert two years ago and didn't expect anything more than himself on the stage. But it turned out to be an incredibly cute show - there was a story, colorful costumes, visual surprises in almost each song. This time I expected a show, but there was only Mika singing and band playing. So I was kind of disappointed. MIka is a great performer, of course. His smile lights up a room, one his move makes everyone jump along, he has magnificent energy!!! But I didn't like the fan choir and their unappealing church style capes had visible folding marks. I pay for the ticket to watch professionals and prefer that fans stay in audience. Sound quality didn't seem good. Maybe I was standing in a bad spot - close to the speakers, on side, near the stage - so loud, I was afraid to loose my hearing, especially at the time of opening act

I attended this show with a friend of mine who also attended the Sunday show. I went in knowing only 2 of Mika's songs--Grace Kelly and Love Today. The moment he stepped onstage I felt the crowd's excitement and got into the show. He's so adorable and a stellar performer! I would definitely attend another show of his.

If you want a concert that's joyous, with a hint of campiness (think Erasure), then Mika is for you. He is a great performer and musician. I originally "found" Mika while vacationing in England in 2010 when his single "We Are Golden" debuted, and I've been hooked ever since. Here in the States, Mika doesn't appear to have a big following. He doesn't receive any airplay on the Top-40 stations in Las Vegas... the only other way I know of his existence is from his song on the movie "Kick-Ass" and because my girlfriend is a fan of the video game "Dance Dance Revolution". So I was surprised of the huge following he has in LA. The audience comprised largely of the teenybopper and gay scenes, which I expected, but many older people like me were there as well. His musical style is definitely Pop, which is generally not my turf (I tend to DJ Goth, Industrial, Dark 80's, Glam, and Madchester), but it's got an undeniable twist that you won't get from the likes of Katy Perry or Britney Spears. Mika is an exuberant showman. He's full of energy, often jumping on top of his piano to dance, and his fashion sense is impeccable. His songs more often than not express the joy of life, but can turn toward the sadness we all share in life. Very humanitarian and exceedingly human. And I may be wrong, but his vocal range may border Kate Bush's. A sheer delight to listen and dance to.

Mika put everything he had into his concert: his voice was incredible and the sound was well-adjusted so that his voice was heard above instrumentals and audience singers (which is good, because I came to hear HIM, not the audience). The staging was well done and he travelled the stage in order to be seen by everyone in the venue. He interacted well with the audience, showed his personality, made everyone happy, and looked as though he was enjoying the concert as much as we were (he may not have been, but one would never know). He kept us entertained and it seemed that the concert was over in a heart beat, even though he performed 19 songs! I went with my daughter, who flew from Utah for the concert. We drove to LA from San Diego and back the same evening and it will be a memory we will always value.

Fabulous evening for all ages! I cant believe I was able to see him such a small venue. He plays stadiums in Europe. Such a talented performer. Reminds me a bit of a cross between Mick Jagger and Prince. Gorgeous voice. No auto tune needed! Most importantly his songs/music really touched my heart. I felt so happy. I was moved. His fans are devoted and know the words to all of his songs and he encourages everyone to participate in his concerts and that is such a blast as well. Hats off to this wonderful performer. I hope he sticks around for a very, very long time. The Music Box (Henry Fonda Theatre) is great as well. Totally fixed up. The balcony was great for those who dont want to stand. Upstairs bar and bathrooms, so very convenient. Bathroom was so nice and clean. Sounds silly to mention, but important for us gals. I have seen shows from the floor as well and that is always fun too, but you have to stand for hours. Doors opened at 8. There was a line around the block and Mika didnt come on until 10.

Mika exuberant, flamboyant and hympomanic music comes to life on stage as the artist himself performs live! He truly doesn't simply perform another concert but exudes his music and his art through his body, face and movement - not too mention his incredible voice! You can't enter into a performance like this without feeling at total liberty to let loose and walking out totally elated! His playful energy with the audiene, his band and his choir is entirely infectious, thoroughly entertaining and personally for me, truly inspiring. A concert experience everyone should and deserves to have at some point in their life.

His performance, his crowd, his lyrics, are all incredible. While more subtle and with fewer gimmicks from his previous touring, he still sings and dances and energizes the crowd the way his music deserves. Mika was phenominal! A true show man and a talented singer. He was So energetic and alive! He immediately took control of the stage I got everyone in a fun and dancing mood. Even if you never heard Amicus on before the spectacle onstage guaranteed a good time. The performance however was not just a one dimensional display of showmanship. Mika Demonstrated great vocal acrobatics, Near-perfect pitch, And powerful pipes that could keep up with His never ending supply of onstage energy and motion! I love live music and this is one of the best shows I've ever seen! Webster Hall is a great venue for Mika!

This was my fourth time seeing a Mika show, and he had even more energy and more power in his voice than he did five years ago. He sings all of the notes you expect to be autotuned, dances like no one is watching, and happily lets the audience participate in every single song. This show was the night before his new album came out, so he expectedly play about five new songs, but always taught the audience the chorus before beginning, so the energy in the room matched any song we had known for years. You can't help but smile and dance at a Mika show, it is absolutely impossible not to have a great time.
