Gala of the Royal Horses

Did not care for the acting and drama of the story. Would love to see more of the horses. That is what I came to see.

The show was wonderful and our 3 girls loved it. Ford Arena staff was VERY RUDE!

Loved the show and my granddaughters loved it also talked about it for hours afterward.

The show was absolutely amazing. I loved that they introduced each breed of horse and explained all the movements that the horses were asked to perform. The riders and the horses were just beautiful. I am so glad that I had the opportunity to be a part of the Royal Gala. It wasn't just a show - it was a learning experience.

The horses were beautiful but it seemed more like a history on the various breeds than a show.

As my 6 year old grand daughter said " Not very impressive!" At least the horses looked well taken care of, however, Id say a few of them are becoming show ring sour, ears pinned and not very obedient. They performed a small amount of piaffe, passage and a few upper level movements, the drill team could certainly stand to tighten it up a bit. You'll see a far better example of dressage training and from better examples of the breed at a Rated dressage show.

Though short, this program presented the horses (and riders) in a way that engaged and educated the audience.

The show was not very professional but the horses were beautiful.

These beautiful animals and the passion of the riders and trainer made it a joy to watch. The show was as educational as it was beautiful. I thought I knew something about these breeds but I came away with a much greater knowledge. Loved watching the training session to see how much trust and kindness goes into their training. A fantastic event for families to attend.

If you are a horse lover this show is for you. The horses are beautiful and powerful. The trainer is able to guide them with voice commands and light touches. Well worth it. . Only complaint - Sound system wasn't good. Difficult to hear what the announcer was saying.

Awesome display of amazing horses. Even as someone who has limited knowledge of horses, I could really appreciate the beauty and talent of these horses. Great job!

I have seen a few of these shows growing up, if this is your first time I think you will enjoy it but to compare it to the past shows [not this one] this fails in comparison greatly

A complete disappointment, left at the intermission

I thought the show was wonderful. There were a lot of empty seats closer to the center of the arena and I would have like to sit closer for a better view.

This event was overall disappointing. None of the people in our party (6 ppl) or those sitting behind us could understand the announcer. It was so garbled and unclear. Without hearing what he was explaining, the show didn't make a lot of sense. We were very under whelmed with the show content as well. It ended up being the same 6 horses trotting around the terribly small arena. I think 1 star is being kind.

Very overpriced for what you saw the advertising was very misleading.

It wasn't a flawless performance because many of the horses were new to this show. However, the training methods are excellent. The trainer took time to educate the audience as to how they trained the horses. The riders were terrific and friendly. I really enjoyed having the training methods explained and demonstrated.

I was disappointed with the show. It was not what I expected. very weak

Poor show. Sound system was terrible. Could not understand a word the announcer was saying. This by itself ruined the show. But the show itself consisted of about 10 horses not fully trained and basically just trotting around the arena. Our seats in the front row had railings in front of them, right at the viewing level. Eventually we had to move as we could not see anything. Not worth the money.

Attended Gala of Royal Horses on Sunday, July 27, 2014. It was a birthday present from my husband and one I will never forget. The show was wonderful, the horses magnificent, and costumes were brilliant. It amazes me how they can train those beautiful horses to do the things they do! My only complaint about the show is that the audio system in the arena is just awful! We could barely understand anything the M. C. was saying. You really NEED to update it!!!

For the first time, this show has come to the United States, and it is not to be missed. If you like horses at all, and appreciate the immense training that goes into some of the more difficult movements they perform alone and with their riders, you have to see this show. The horses themselves are absolutely gorgeous. The riders are extremely skilled. The Head Trainer is knowledgeable and shares some of his training techniques with the audience. He also is a rider in the show. And the MC is funny. It was definitely money well spent!

Gala of the Royal Horses gave everyone a chance to learn about the history and uses of the main breed of horses used inthe show. The strength and grace of these beautiful equines was amazing and the riders and Rene Gasser treat each animal with warmth and clear commands. You could see that the horses loved to do what they accomplish with joy.

This event was so special to me, I spent it with my son, and I have a dear friend who lives in Madrid, Spain who encouraged me to see it, loving horses as I do . It was wonderful and the MC host was charming. very nice and lovely.

My sister and I saw the Royal Horses in Columbus, GA on April 4th. She came up from Florida to see this event with me. We had great seats and could view the entire arena without problem. The horses were gorgeous and put on a great show for us. There were Lipizzans, Andalusians, a Friesian and an Arabian. We especially liked seeing the part where they showed the stages of training of the horses, i.e. teaching the Spanish Walk and Piaffe. There was live music to accompany the show. The only thing I didn't like was the turnout. I wish more people had attended. I think maybe Columbus isn't the best city for a show like this. There are more western type horse people in this area, or it could have been because it was also opening night of a big fair located right outside.

Went to the show in Mobile and researched them on their facebook page "Gala of the Royal Horses"... the comments of past attendees was enough for me to want to go see the show, plus all the recent photos taken in the past eight weeks. El Caballo Blanco has brought this performance all the way from Australia to present in the USA must be given credit. Their videos from Australia going back 10 years are great of all the various shows they have presented (don't expect to see everything - each show is different). Looking at some of the Ticketmaster comments, some people are being way too critical and if you only truly appreciated the glorious Airs and Movements of these horses you would see the real beauty of the show. Shows cannot be blamed for the sound or the lights that is the venue's problems, we were lucky this show came to our town. I did overhear that some of the horses were new in the show and therefore were not used to spotlights, so there is a reason for everything. After Arabian Nights closed in Orlando end of December, and not seeing the Lipizzaner Show anymore, we should be cheering this show on as they are the only touring Arena horse show now in the USA. I loved the show and would recommend it. for all Hores lovers and no lovers.

Would have given a 5 star review except I was really disappointed there were no flamenco dancers per se as advertised. I appreciated the performance of their replacement (the man & woman spanish dancers with whips), but this did not change the fact I was very disappointed they weren't the flamenco dancers I expected (as seen in the gallery of photos on the official website). However, the performances of the royal horses, riders, and ringmaster were excellent. I especially loved the speaking voice of the ringmaster and his comfort level with the audience, performers, and horses was palpable (plus he looked the part).

The horses were absolutely gorgeous. We had a great time watching Gala of the Royal Horses. The black Friesian, Rico, was so big and handsome. We are glad we went and got to see such magnificent animals.

This is a wonderful horse show. I have seen these types of horses before and they are so amazing. Would recommend this show for all who love horses.

The horses were awesome. It's amazing how disiplined they were. i could tell they loved the cheers of the audience. The arena was a great place to watch this show. We were close enough to see the horses' alert eyes and hear their snorts.

The show was awesome! A great family show! The horses were beautiful and very talented.

The show was very informative. My daughter and I learned a lot. It was very interesting to see how they went about training the horses, the different kinds of horses, the styles, the movements, etc... It was also a little boring though too. From the advertisement online, I was expecting a bit more, I guess. I thought there would be more action...like a "trick rider" as I saw in the video who did flips on the horse, stood up and rode, and other things like that. Granted, the area we were in was much smaller than the one seen on the advertisement. Perhaps the issue was space? I think, had there been more action or more fast paced activity, we would have liked it better and given it 4 stars. It just lacked the action/flare part. It was a good low-key informative show though and is one I would recommend to someone who's child loves horses or who has never gone, but not a show that would bring me back for a repeat visit.

Loved it! It was a fantastic show. Wish more of these sort of shows came through the area. Loved the shows lay out and was very entertained during the whole show.

If you love to be a part of something special, witness something rare and beautiful ~ being captured LIVE in front of your very eyes...then THIS show is FOR YOU! My cousin and I have been around horses all of our lives. She is a professional horse trainer in Ocala. She had heard of this wonderful show coming to Orlando and we knew we had to meet there for a mini-reunion! We were impressed at how well the trainer and riders worked with their horses. She commented through out the show things like, "Watch her ride that gelding with ease. He's a little spit-fire but she's got him right where she wants him." The riders were poised and secure in their positions even when the horses were being... well, horses. These are animals, folks and whenever you work with LIVE animals there is always something unexpected going to happen. Do you know how difficult it is to work with Live animals? Rene (the trainer) had everyone and every horse under his control and it was a quiet, peaceful spell that he put everyone under...including the audience. He has class, control and concentration. He works with the horses like a horse whisperer. It's quite obvious that he loves what he does. I would MUCH rather see a show like this with patience and control...than with Loud music and flashing lights that scare the animal. All of the tricks that are performed are VERY difficult and done first and foremost with love and respect for the horses. If you are looking for a "Vegas Style Circus" show....this is NOT for you. "The Gala of The Royal Horses" show is to teach your children respect for the different breeds, the history of how the breed came to be and to watch the beautiful creature that God made perform in as comfortable an environment in front of you (strangers, lights, sound) as possible. Considering all that came into play...the horses were amazing!!! The icing on the cake for me (as a professional entertainer) was the cultural music and "dancing" with the horses. I wished that I could get up out of my seat and be a part of the show. :) Tony and Gina (the singers) were marvelous to listen to because it wasn't a CD of some singer you couldn't see...they were right there in front of you playing Live which made the event very intimate and romantic. The Master of Ceremonies, Scott was also very polished, dressed to the nines, witty and charming. ~ You try looking THAT good and holding the attention of an audience next to 14 majestic, spirited horses and their riders! LOL ~ My cousin said he reminded her of a young, Sean Connery. Overall, my cousin and I were so impressed and satisfied with our choice in entertainment that we are following the tour and going to try to see the show again when it comes to Gainesville. Bring the kids if you have a family, take the wife for a romantic night out or make it a "girlfriends reunion" and go see some of the most well kept, well trained and entertaining horses that you are most likely ever going to see in this lifetime. I am going to recommend it to all my friends on Facebook to visit this magnificent show on tour when it comes to a city near them!!! See my pictures attached for more of a preview :) Enjoy!

If you love horses, especially if you own or have owned horses, you will love and appreciate the amazing amount of training these beautiful ones have had. These were some of the most beautiful horses I've ever seen. This was a wonderful and informative evening. I highly recommend The Gala of Horses to anyone, and completely family safe & friendly show!

I was very impressed with the show. These performers had years of knowledge in horses. I personally love animals. I loved the daughter. She was so pretty and very brave. She left me dazzled. Everyone was so talented and so pretty. The horses were beautiful. I loved the show. Please come back to El Paso.

This show was a special treat to see. The interplay between the horses and the riders was so refreshing and affectionate. It was obvious that the owners/handlers loved their horses and there was no indication that the horses did not want to perform on cue. It was well worth the money and I recommend it to all ages. We purchased the VIP tickets that allowed us to stay after the event and meet the riders and view/photograph the horses up close. The Royal Horses are magical to watch.

We spent the extra money for the "VIP" ticket with meet and greet and regret doing so. During intermission other attendees from upper seats were allowed to come down to the VIP section, which is fine if they want to fill the seats, but it made the meet and greet portion impossible because those people wouldn't get out of the way! So, don't waste your money for the more expensive tickets. No one enforces it by checking tickets and therefore it's not necessary. The horse/rider performance was average but far from what it could be.

Have been to several equine productions and this was VERY well done!!! Stallions were exceptional and obviously well-treated and well trained without abuse!! LOVE TO SEE THAT!!! Kudos to all of them!!!

We drove the 75 minutes from Phoenix to Prescott Valley to attend this event. Once there, the Prescott Valley Event Center was easy to find and had plenty of eateries nearby to make it a full evening's outing. The event center itself was easy to navigate and traffic moved quickly and well. Gala of the Royal Horses, itself, was fun. The horses were gorgeous -- big, sleek and shiny. They had at least three Friesians, a couple Andalusians and one Lippizan in the show we saw. The riders were excellent horsemen and women, as well as talented entertainers. If you get a chance to attend this show, I recommend that you do, especially if you have a horse-crazy kid in the household -- or were that horse-crazy kid yourself. You'll be glad you did. I know I was.

Amateur hour in the horse show world. No where near the worth of the cost of the tickets !

Loved seeing the 3 different horse breeds and the different training methods!

Spectacular show. The riders were so in tune with the horses who were beautiful, majestic and, considering they were flown to the US, they were in top physical shape. Such a coordinated show, riders and horses were very close. I would recommend to everyone!

I took two of our young granddaughters to see this show. They enjoyed it very much! I could see the excitement on their faces, especially during the acrobatic part of the show.

Excellent. Very well trained horses, handlers were great. . It was worth extra money to sit in the VIP section. We could see better and had the extra benefits of talking to the trainers and pat the horses.

My wife and I highly recommend this show. The horses were spectacular! With our front row seats, we had a meet & greet which was great but the horses didn't talk to us?

Beautiful horses and show. My granddaughters were mesmerized. The horses did a variety of movements like bowing, trotting sideways and getting up on 2 legs and jumping up. It was a bit along the lines of dressage. Some additional thoughts- I thought the horses could have been more adorned. If the tickets were a little more affordable, the arena would have been fuller. All in all, a beautiful show.

I loved every minute of the show. These animals are beautiful, intelligent and fascinating. The riders are skilled and the show was perfect. The band was very good that accompanied them and a solo singer also was very good. Would go again in a heartbeat!

It was such a small venue, maybe 500 people that it made it a very intimate setting. We got to know the horses by name and the trainer and riders. The trainer even explained how he trained the horses, their care, some history and the regions where the horses originated. It was a very entertaining and educational evening. I would gladly go again and would highly recommend it for a relaxing and enjoyable evening. I was glad to support these people and their horses whom they clearly loved and cared for deeply. It was obvious that they understood the sensitivity of these noble animals.

It was amazing show. Horses were beautiful, dressage, costumes and music outstanding. Skills of riders would amaze everyone. It reminded me about Europe. It is great that Mr. Gasser brought this show to North America. I hope he will come back. The Airs above the ground was amazing, horses are taught with love and clearly very well cared for. Thank you!

This event was wonderful. It was very informative. Like no other event I have been to. My favorite horses for years and was glad they came to Vicksburg for a show. Would highly recommend for any horse lovers. Seating was good, however the lighting was not high enough. two lights shined in everyones eyes on our side and hindered viewing somewhat. Maybe recommend muting the lights or raising up.

Very spectacular sight to see these magnificent animals and their trainers performing. Floor seating area gets a hands-on and up-close experience after the show. Wouldn't hurt to expand the variety of merchandise and designs for shirts.

Every horse lover should see this. The endless dedication to training and care is evident when you see these beautiful creatures. Absolutely stunning. Rene Gasser is an amazing riding master. We took our 3 year old granddaughter and she loved every minute. We were in the front row and the horses seemed gigantic to her. I highly recommend getting the VIP tickets for the front row. Bring your camera! After the show 4 of the horses and riders remained in the arena for photos and a chance to pet them if you'd like.

It was not a "production" type show in my opinion with lots of group activities but rather an educational "this is how we train the horses to do what they do" and then an example of the horse doing it, which was good and I liked that they went around the seating area doing it at least three times so all could see it. My favorite act was the lady in the red jacket doing the long stick dance with the horse.....fast moving and the horse was great!! I did not think the lighting was very good, making it difficult for picture taking which is encouraged. And the Flamenco dance with the horse was lost in the background because the lady and the man riding the dark horse wore black -- they should wear brighter colors. The MC sounded muffled and I think needs to speak slower, especially when pronouncing the breed names of the horses.

If you didn't see Gala of the Royal Horses, you missed a Great Event! The horses were so beautiful and the program was wonderful. The horse dancing on the wood in time with the bongos was amazing. Very entertaining and would definitely see it again.

The Horses were amazing. The tricks they performed were absolutely mesmerizing. The Lead trainer takes time to show how much work must go into the teaching of these animals. The host was entertaining and made the whole evening just flow. The horses are energetic and seem to enjoy the applause of the audience. At one point they show just how much trust the handlers and horses share and this makes you realize they must truly treat the animals well. I would gladly go again.

I've seen The Lippizan Stallions show before and this isn't as good. I paid for mid-priced tickets. I enjoyed watching because I love horses, but wish it had cost less. I could say that I have seen as good or better for less.

I love horses and this show made me fall in love even more!!! The horses was so beautiful, super smart, and just BEYOND AMAZING!!! I'm waiting for their return - 2015!!!!

If you have a LOVE of Horses, then you will want to see this show. I am 40+ years old and I was in Awe the Whole time. It was a Birthday Present to both myself and my Mom and Could not have asked for a better present. By the end of the show, I wanted to run away with them and be a part of their show. I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED the show and will see it again when it comes to town!!!! Just make sure you get the VIP Floor seats for a SURPRISE at the end :)

It was an excellent show. This was my first time attending this type of horse show. The experience was great. This show encourages me to learn more about the history of horses.

The trainer, the riders and the horses are just incredible. Who would ever believe that horses could dance, and leap into the air. I would recommend a front row seat for this show.

This show was awesome! It combined my love for Latin music with my love for horses into a breath taking event. The tickets were worth every penny. We were encouraged to take pictures and video to post to social networking sites, and after the show, because of our fantastic seats, we were able to pet and have our pictures taken with the horses and talk to the trainers and riders.

The show was well put together showing different areas of horse training and performance. It made for a very entertaining two hours.

My girlfriend, parents, and I thoroughly enjoyed the show and look forward to a return to Springfield Illinois!

It was the best horse show I've ever been to and my daughter enjoyed it as we'll it was so remarkable and would go to it again if it was in Dallas

I bought tickets as a surprise for my wife's birthday and knew I was taking a bit of a gamble as I was not sure what to expect. Thankfully, we both really enjoyed the majesty of the horses/riders, the MC, and the Gala Band. It was a great experience, well worth the money, and ended-up being the perfect birthday gift.

The lighting was so dark dark red, dark dark purple or hardly there, that you could not see the beauty of the horses, and most of the time, were not able to see the black horses. The white horses were always dark red, dark pink, purple or blue...and they are too gorgeous to not be able to see their beautiful WHITE flowing manes and tails. I was terribly disappointed. They should have used the house lights with light variation of colors, if that's what they wanted...The show would have been awesome if one could see it. They told everyone to take as many pics and share on the media as much as they like, but then, they used lighting that made that impossible. Everyone around me was upset. A great show, but not worth the visit, because the lighting is so bad and distracts from the whole object of the show...The Royal Horses...Sorry to be so negative, this is actually the first review I have ever given that was negative...

As a horsewomen I truly appreciated the show. It was educational, fun, and it was great to see the master trainer really enjoy working with his horses. It was also nice to see so many different breeds in a small show. I recommed this show if you appreciate horses and horsemanship.

The horses were beautiful but the show wasn't what i expected. It seemed like the same tricks over and over.

This production was NOTHING like the promotional material suggested!! The image above with a winged girl interacting with a unicorn didn't happen. A girl in little dress came out with a "unicorn" who's HORN FELL OFF in front of all the children within a minute of coming out!! My kids were in tears. The rest of the production had bad acting, poor timing, and no attempt was made to transition props...it was a DISASTER. We paid $79 per ticket (4 tix) so that our kids could participate in a meet and greet with a unicorn...didn't happen. They did have a horse you could look at but we were told it BITES so to keep the kids hands back. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?!? Do NOT take your kids to see this mess...for obvious reasons this production runs for ONE night...word would spread killing a second night no doubt!!!

My wife and I thouroughly were amazed by the outstanding performance by these beautiful and well-trained horses and the men and women performers! Also one of the acrobatic men did unbelieveable somesault jumps from one hourse to another! All the horses seemed to enjoy performing and liked all the applause. One horse even had his tail going around in a circle while he was performing! This place is an excellent arena with good viewing seats and the seats were very comfortable.

The horses are beautiful and in perfect sync with their trainers; the acrobat stunts were thrilling - never felt like the horses were ever mistreated or in danger. Definitely recommend, would probably buy the VIP meet and greet next time.

This was a waste of money. However, the horses were beautiful. If the show had been all about the horses and not about some girl in dreamland it would have been much better. I paid nearly $200 for the 4 of us and really felt ripped off. My family agreed. The venue was nice. We had good seats but that was partly because there were not a lot of people there so we had lots of room around us. Would not recommend this show to anyone. Would like to have my money back.

I enjoyed the show and the vip experience was very cool

The horses were beautiful! The first half was a guy with a plastic grin walking fine horses back and forth at a 45degree angle as if it was exceptional. The second half was much better with a different guy jumping from one horse to another. The first half gets 1 star, the second half gets 3 stars.

They were beautiful horses, kind riders, great music.

The story line that went along with the show was really cute! The horses and riders did not disappoint! Such talent! The carousel and "trick riding" were my favorites! A must see for any age.

We had an AMAZING time with granddaughters age 4 and 5 and they were mezmerized to see a UNICORN! !!

I am so glad to have shared this experience with my granddaughters, ages 2 and 9. It was great! Both girls were awestruck the entire performance. The extra cost for floor seats was worth every penny. Very entertaining show for both young and young at heart.

I really wasn't sure what to expect going to this show, as far as quality, but it was so enjoyable! My niece and i laughed and cheered and there was a meet and greet after the show. The showmanship and acrobatics awed us; such talent! We definitely recommend!

The event was awesome... a very nice story line with amazing talent, both human and equine. I would highly recommend this show to all horse lovers and imaginative children.

The great grand really enjoyed which made it worth attending...horses were beautiful and fulfilled a little girl's "Carousel of Dreams". For myself, good center seating but the tall tripod portable lighting blocked view for many of the horses footwork, leaping, etc. for which not only blocked view but could not capture memories on camera or video...the performance was not as outstanding as portrayed in advertisement. Probably the stormy weather earlier in evening contributed to the low attendance...However, it was a pleasant experience and a fun family night out!

UNO sucks! The show was alright!! The last performance was the best stunt!

A two hour show in a smaller venue with a nice intermission in the middle. Nice break so you don't have to misss any if the show. After show you could go to the floor to see the horses and talk to the performers.

The most beautiful and talented horse shoe i have ever seen. The riders, handlers and horses were all so talented. Will see again the next time they come to town. Absolutely beautiful horses.
