Gene Watson

It was truly one of the best concerts I have been to. Gene Watson also took the time to take pictures and autographs with the audience one on one. It was wonderful.

The Gene Watson concert was great! My husband and I really enjoyed the show, and the facilities was excellent.

Terrific show. Intimate venue. Price reasonable.! What more can I say.would go again

Gene Watson put on a great show! Unlike some of the performers from the past he hit all his notes and sounds as good today as yesterday! It was a pleasure to hear some REAL country music! Would go see him again!!!!

I enjoyed the show. I liked having three stars instead of one doing a 2 hr show. The price was very good which added to my going in the first place as I don't normally go to concerts.

My husband & I had the most enjoyable evening at Winstar seeing Johnny Lee, TG Sheppard and the fantastic Gene Watson! They sang every song we wanted to hear and then some! The easy access to the theater, seating, sound system and all the very helpful friendly personnel made the night that much more enjoyable. We plan on going again in future and would highly recommend going to Thackerville Oklahoma to see your favorite entertainers. The food was great - reasonable priced and gooooood!

We expected a longer concert. Each act only sang about 30 minutes each. The seating is very tight. They have chairs crammed up against each other with no space in between them. We were very uncomfortable through out the whole concert. We had no space to even move our legs around.

So enjoyable! Sang along with every song that Johnny Lee, T.G Shepard & Gene Watson sang!

Johnny Lee is a great opening act for anyone else because of his dynamic personality. He is also a tremendous "main attractiion". TG Sheppard still woos the women as he has done for decades. I am surprised he is not a star performer rather than an opening act. He still looks like is he 35 years old. I hate him. (8>). Gene, Gene, Gene! He is one of my top three all-time favorites. We are seeing Gene three weekends in a row and that is still not enough. I could go to a Gene concert every weekend. He is still THE VOICE and what a great sense of humor. The FP Band sounds great. Brian Kelly has been a tremendous addition with his versitility. Danny is making great progress on the steel guitar. His runs are coming together very well and it is very easy to see he loves what he is doing. Staley is still the best side show in the business on bass. We need to get Todd a raise so he can have a Scully shirt like everyone else and graduate from the Panhandle Slim Pearl Snap. Chip is great on the keyboard. The sound man needs to learn when the piano runs are important and boost the volume accordingly. Yes, we love all three of these great performers and the Farewell Party Band.

Gene, along with T. G. Sheppard and Johnny Lee, sounds as good as 35 years ago!! It's amazing that guys this age can retain their range on old time vocals!! I've hear Gene four times in the last two years and he sounded better than ever. His band, even when playing back-up for the other headliners, is awesome, especially the young man on lead guitar (he also plays horn). We will surely go back to hear him again!!

All 3 performers were great !!! No wasted down time between the acts !!!

One of the best I have attended. All three artists were excellent. They still sounded as they do on their records. They really related to the audience.

When I lived in west Texas in the early 80's I went to concerts of these guys - I am so glad you saved the best for the last! What a singer that Gene Watson!

After all these years they all still should be played on the radio at any chance. Great music for so many years. Keep it up guys....some of us really miss them great tunes. Thanks for a great performance.

This was an outstanding show! I have seen Mr. Watson quite a few times over the years, and as always he was unbelievably great. This was my first time to see Rhonda Vincent and she was absolutely amazing!

I have seen Rhonda Vincent and the Rage several times, and I love their show. This was the first time to see Gene Watson although I have been a fan for many years. His show was awesome. It is so good to hear the "older" country artists. I fear what will happen to the Grand Ole Opry when these up and coming artists are all that is left.

This event was great. Gene Watson sounded amazing. Rhonda always preforms great and this was no different. The theater was beautiful.

LOVED THE SHOW!! Highly recommend anyone that loves traditional country music to see Gene Watson perform. You will love him!! His band was very talented also!!

I was amazed at the quality of Gene's voice and his incredible lung capacity. He nailed the highs and held notes longer than I could imagine he would. I thoroughly enjoyed the entire show!!! The Pavillion was very accomodating and great acoustics. I thank the General Manager of Cypress Bayou Casino for the assistance in recovering mymsiplaced tickets. Russ

Gene Watson put on a wonderful show. Came out and signed autogrpahes which was very nice. As for the show it was wonderful Everyone at the Casino was very nice and helpful. Wonderful dinner

Gene Watson's one of the best Legends of Country Music. He still has the great voice and his selection of songs for the show hit on all his best and then some. The only negative thing I can say is that there were too many people talking all the time (probably because of the booze) and that to me was very distracting and annoying. I'd like to see him again in a theatre setting without all the talking in the audience.

The concert was amazing. Gene Wason sang all of his hits and a few songs I had forgotten. I must admit, I would have given him a pass if his vocal abilities had slipped a little due to his age. However, I was blown away. He still possesses a great range and hit all the high notes on "Farewell Party". He interacted with fans throughout the night, shared great stories about his hits, and met with the fans for autographs and pictures after the show. He still seems greatly appreciative to the country music fans for his career. Awesome night- enjoyed by a "young pup" who wasn't even born when Gene's career started.

Would have been much better had the sound system not been so loud. It was hard to hear the words sang as the mike was either too strong or too close!!!!!

An absolute amazing evening!! I have been a long time fan of Gene and bought my tickets and made reservations the day I saw his show advertised. He is a down home personality with a wicked sense of humor and a voice of an angel. I wished I had tickets for the show on Saturday too. I drove 600 miles one way to see him and will do it again the next time he sings that close to where I live. He was AWESOME ❤️

Gene Watson puts on an absolutely amazing performance. His voice is better than ever! It is no wonder that his fellow musicians call him the singers singer. If you enjoy real country music, he is a must see! One of the very best ever

The Gene Watson Show was fantastic. He played for 2 hours and did an autograph signing with a lot of stories and comments. LOVE LOVE LOVED it

Watson is one of remaining great Country Western singer still around for us to enjoy. He still has his voice, and has a great band. True entertainment. All that was missing was a dance floor.

Gene Watson did an outstanding job. Love his songs, love his music and he took pictures with folks and signed autographs until the last person was gone. Such an artist and such a nice person. The only negative is that it had to end.

5 stars for the performances, but the chairs suck...

We enjoyed the music but not the drunks and they loud mouths. I wish they didn't serve beer and mixed drinks. Will not go back if we can't get seats at least in the middle. Listening to loud mouth drunks is not what I played for.

The concert was awesome, they both did a good job and put on a good show. However, at the back of the venue, there were tons of people standing and made noise and drank alcohol the whole time. It was distracting from the music. Very annoying. Even the singers were annoyed by it.

Gene Watson can still belt out those old songs!! His voice is just as clear and powerful as if listening to him on the radio. A true performer and enjoyed the jokes and stories in between songs. Our second time to see him in Grant and will definitely continue to go to his shows when he is in town.

I was a fan of Gene Watson "back in the day" and was so happy to hear that he was still touring and that I could see him locally. His voice is as strong as it was 40 years ago, and his band is very good. If you like "old school" classic country, then this show would have blown your socks off. It was my first time to Penn's Peak. It is a very nice venue and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Parking is good, there were plenty of handicapped spaces which I now need. The venue is spotless inside and out. You can see the folks that work there take pride in their jobs. I'll be going back to see shows in the future.

Gene Watson was fabulous. He is funny & he can sing as good now as he could way back when. Band is also great , they work well together & are very entertaining. Can't wait to see Gene again.

I have attended Gene Watson shows 6 times at various locations, including the Grand Ole Opry. This man just keeps getting better. Love his music, his vocals, and his stage presence. I would come back to see him in a heartbeat!

This was a very good show. An older country icon sang all his hits plus songs by other artists. He has been singing for 54 years and had many number one hits. The Farewell Party band was very talented and performed great. Gene Watson kept up a funny banter with the audience. He is a great singer. I saw him a lot of years back up in Benton at a music festival out in a field. Ronnie Milsap and other artists were there. I took a picture of Gene with my late sister who passed away in 2000. That is one reason I wanted to see him again. She loved Gene Watson. He is very nice and personable and I highly recommend his show to anyone who enjoys the older, true country music.

His concert was great!!! Met 3 of the 5 band members and got Gene's autograph. But the seating was terrible.

Joe-El Sonnier and Gene Watson were both great performances. As a 30 year or more fan of Gene Watson I would've like to seen him on stage for more than just 1 hour. Was surprised as the short performance time.

Jo-el preformed first. His sound was off. I had trouble understanding his words. That was disappointing. His performance was very good. He played all his hits and did a great job. Gene Watson's sound was much better. I could understand everything that he said. I was very disappointed in the length of the concert it was way way too short. He only played for 40-45 minutes. The time he did preform, was as always Steller for Gene Watson. I would only give it three stars, due to the sound and length of the concert. I will go see them again and give them another chance, because I am just a huge Gene Watson fan.

The concert with Joel Sonnier and Gene Watson was ok, but was a short one. Music was good but expected more and better.

Expected more songs from Watson's latest album. Opening act Joel Sonnier a complete reck! And bass player needs to take a seditive, very annoying actions when performing.

We don't have enough of the "traditional" acts coming to town. he's one of the best. Please keep them coming and bring him back anytime.

Gene is a consummate entertainer, really appreciated his comments about 61 country!!

Got these tickets for my Inlaws for Christmas they had a blast. He was great, seats were excellent they are ready for another concert.

Great show filled with music spanning decades, enjoyed the back stories.

Gene was in great form and sang all the songs we love. Anxious for him to return to Bossier City. Margaritaville has a excellent stage facility.

Gene still belts them out with a voice as wonderful as always. Additionally, he signed autographs for an huge line of people at the end of the show. I waitied until the end of the line and had a picture taken with him. Thanks for your patience, Gene. You are a a wonderful guy!

Gene Watson gave a very good performance. The sound level was perfect at first, then they increased the sound. from that point is was to loud. The performance would have been much better if they had not increase the sound. I will not go back for any future events at that location because of the sound level.

This was best time I have had in a long time, great music, lots of laughs and truly all around great time!

The entire show start to finish was top notch. Gene and the Farewell Party Band did a great job blending new songs and of course our favorite Real Country from the last 40 years. Gene is a great performer and made the show fun and entertaining. Gene has such a range in his voice and delivers musically on every song! I have loved his music for years but this was my first time to see him in person! WOW! I hope to see him again!

This was our first time to see and hear Gene Watson and his band. After all these years in the business, he still carries his notes and has such a wonderful voice. It is so refreshing to hear someone who has been doing this for so long carry his notes instead of just talking through his songs. If you have listened to him on the radio, let me tell you, he sounds the same in person. His band members are entertaining, as is he. We are planning on attending more of his concerts here in Texas and Louisiana. Go see him and the band, and you will not be disappointed!

The venue at Margaritaville Bossier City was just right size. Watson's voice is still strong. His band is very good and you can't help but love the bass player. Their banter between sets was pretty corny.

i had never seen or heard of Gene Watson, but a friend ask that I go w/her. so I did. Have to say he was fantabulous...love it. as well as the pre show w/Twitty imatator . He is one of the best.

Have seen Gene before and he puts on a very real and heartfelt performance - great job, Gene and band.

Excellent show Gene Still has an excellent voice. Sang most of his hit songs And did them well, great band also.

This was a great show. We traveled over five hours to see this artist and we were not disappointed. Also he is quite personable as is his band members.

This was super, all you could ask for Gene Watson!! Loved it from the time he walked on stage until he left - great songs, great jokes, and good stories from him and band!!

This was one of the best concerts that I have been to in a very long time, and we go to many. Gene Watsons' voice was still strong, he did not vary one time. His band was tight. We will go back to see him when he is in the area. The show as a whole was top notch, true country, not watered down, but done in VERY good taste. Go see him, you will not be disappointed.

We really enjoyed the whole performance. The joking around kept people laughing and Gene Watson sure hasn't lost his great voice. There was one problem I know cowboys don"t like to take off their hats, but during a concert, they block the view big time. To be courteous they should remove them during the performance.

Gene sounds as good as ever. What a great voice. Gene is a humble East Texas boy who "done good". Don't miss hearing Gene. He sings country music the way George Jones and Ray Price did.

I really enjoyed the show, my favorite performer was actually the opener Johnny Rodriguez. He was in excellent voice, told lots of stories. The second guy on was forgettable, Johnny Lee, and I enjoy his music on the radio and on CDs and albums but live he was kind of icky. Gene Watson is a true pro he was relaxed, his voice was good and he put on a good show.with none of the Ick factor of Johnny Lee.

Worth the money, would recommend to any older country lovers.
