Arcade Fire

Arcade Fire

Arcade Fire are the undisputed poster band of indie rock's ascendancy in the musical mainstream,  proving with each successive album that it's possible to be both a critical darling and a populist favorite. For 2013's Reflektor, the band teamed up with James Murphy of LCD Soundsystem  to record their most ambitious collection of songs yet, topping charts — and critics' best-of lists — around the world. As revered for their frenzied live shows as they are for their records, the band has fans eagerly awaiting the 2014 Reflektor Tour, which includes headlining slots at Coachella and Glastonbury.FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

Venue is cool with food trucks and what not but also kind-of weird with the sand and chair rentals. Plenty of port-a-potties and hand wash stations but ugh. Arcade Fire was completely awesome. The visuals were great, they sounded great, had a nice long set and had tons of energy. I would highly recommend seeing them and would definitely see them again! My boyfriend wasn t familiar with them (I love him to pieces but he doesn t share my passion for music) and he said it was the best show he s ever seen. Regine is a complete superstar; I want to be her!!!!!

Sound and visuals were great. The staff were helpful and friendly and even gave us an upgrade to the Pit. I ve seen AF a few times before, but never had the chance to see them from the front row! Their performance was sooooo great and despite being at the end of a very long tour, the energy was there too!

Arcade Fire, normally one of the best bands in the world was very average at the BOA Pavillion. The setlist contained half new songs, including 6 in a row. Winn Butler said' sorry to confuse you with all these new songs' at one point. The crowd was dead for 85% of the show. Since, they are playing Madison Square Garden next week, this was a starter show to test the new songs. Also, the sound at BOA Pavillion is very weak. In the rear of section 2, I could have a full conversation with someone 3 seats down and not have to yell or lean over to try and hear.

The Arcade Fire show exceeded my already very high expectations. I have never seen 7 people try to outperform and each other with so much energy and gusto. Their live show was perfection--definitely in the top 3 of concerts I've attended. The pyrotechnics enhanced the already solid music, making it a feast for the ears and eyes. The energy went down when the band played songs off the new album rather than the old favorites, but that's the entire point of the tour (i.e., to promote the new stuff, which is very good). Having missed the boat on "The Neon Bible" tour, I didn't expect to ever see the Arcade Fire live, but having done so, I would say do not pass up this concert if you appreciate the Arcade Fire's music and have the chance to see them live. I cannot stress what perfect showmen (and women!) comprise this band. Even bad seats couldn't take away from the experience. If they are playing at a large venue, it's worth the extra money to get as close as possible. The venue I was at did not allow for much movement or interaction way in the back.

Arcade Fire put on such a great show. It was super hot and humid out but they were so high energy even in the heat. I'm sure they're used to it but I still give them a lot of credit for performing so well and not passing out from the heat. They played a wide variety of songs from their various albums and each song was played to perfection. They sounded amazing. I also really loved the viewing screen over the stage. I'm not sure if that's new or used just by them or what, but I thought it was great. It really added to the whole experience. Overall, it was a fantastic show and I would recommend it and I would certainly go see them again in the future.

Some concerts become transcendent experiences when the music fills you with emotions and wonder or when the band emits a white hot energy that engulfs you. Since the Arcade Fire stage is set in the middle of the arena floor and most band members deliberately change positions after each song, there really isn't a bad seat to be had for the show. Notably, Win Butler stalks up and down the stage, Will Butler jumps around unrestrainedly with any instrument at hand, Regine Chassagne floats like a flower petal and Jeremy Gara, the drummer, sits in the middle of the stage, merrily rotating on a lazy susan dais of his own. Be prepared to sing as loud as you can during the band's Funeral standards and get swept along when they launch into the show-ending Wake Up.

One of the best shows I've seen. It was up there with Radiohead at Bonnaroo 2006 or Pearl Jam at Lollapalooza in 2007. They hit all of the best old songs, and the new ones already sounded classic. Audience interaction was outstanding. And the video, lights, disco balls, and fog were all just about perfect. I love this band.

Well organized parking, easy in, easy out. I felt I had just as good a view from my seat as the people in GA, section 131 row 6. The Forum somehow is intimate and huge. I felt safe taking my eight-year-old to this, just mother and daughter. The opening band started on time! Her voice was unique, memorable, and haunting. Arcade Fire started just over an hour after Angel Olsen, so nice to have punctuality! Arcade Fire was amazing! Their choice of songs, lighting, stage set up, and interaction with the crowd made everyone there feel like they were being sung to, like this band truly strives to put on the best show they can, their personal best! The energy that the band had was really really high. I thought the concert was expensive but I have no regrets paying for it. I am still flying high from the memories. It is an event that my daughter and I will never forget. Thank you Arcade Fire. You are professionals and I totally understand why festival after festival chooses you to headline! Money well spent on my part! Loved it!

Concert was phenomenal from the set to the visuals to the overall sound quality. This is a band who makes music for people who love music. Song after song, I couldn't help but feel absolute joy, and it was impossible not to move. I applaud AF for their dedication in not only producing quality music, but for putting the time and effort into their shows. The price per ticket wasn't bad. I paid about $45 for an upper level seat. The band had a center stage where they moved around for everyone to see them. Very thoughtful approach. Overall, decent price, good venue, and an amazing band.

This tour is like a 'best of' tour. You're going to hear nothing but the good stuff. Even the Everything Now songs are more energized than the actual album. These guys are 2 hours of non stop, pure electricity. I will never miss another Arcade Fire tour after witnessing this tour. I've seen them before for the Suburbs tour, and they were better this time around. And they were great then. Only bad thing to say is Dallas needs to stop talking during performances. Win Butler had to chastise the crowd saying, "That's the first time anyone has talked through Neon Bible. Thanks Dallas." Pretty embarrassing. Go to shows to listen not to socialize.

The band put on a great show. All the songs were performed pretty much as they are on the albums which I prefer. The audio system was top notch and the sound engineer did a really nice job. I'm a sound engineer as well and all too often my enjoyment of a show is ruined by bad sound. That was not the case here. My only negative was it was in the round. I really don't like shows staged this way. It always looks like a mess on stage and somebody has their butt to you half the time. All that said, Arcade Fire did a decent job of moving around so I'll look past it.

If you do not like crying during concerts, do not go see Arcade Fire. Being my favourite band, I had high expectations for their live show, and I wasn't able to see them until this past tour. Luckily, they were able to exceed my expectations. By far. I actually saw them in Philly earlier in March, but being in general admission in DC (was in seats in Philly) was well worth it... I was front row so I got the full experience. The band was so interactive with the audience, and Win Butler took my friend's phone during Reflektor and shot a short video with it! No amount of words can be used to describe the impact this show had on me and how amazing it was, so I'm just gonna leave it at this. I am extremely impatient for Arcade Fire's next tour and album.

Arcade Fire's concert in Bangor, Maine was the best concert I have been to yet. Butler is a great showman, and his voice (and wife!) are just as good if not better live. The set list included hits from Funeral, Suburbs, and Reflektor including a surprising "My Body is a Cage" rendition from Neon Bible. They were interactive, the music was great, balanced, and clear. I would definitely see them again- they were everything I had hoped for. The only thing that would have made it complete would have been if they had added "No Cars Go" and "Antichrist Television Blues" to the set list. They ended the night with "Wake Up" which was epic. LOVED them. <3

The combination of theatricality, good songs, great performances, and a fun atmosphere made this one of my favorite shows ever. I attended with three friends, all of whom had the same response--and we're middle aged, so we have a lot of shows to compare it to. The papier maché heads on the faux band The Reflektors, the mirrored suit, the AMAZING video presentation behind the band (it constituted art in its own right), and the way the video screens on the sides of the stage were integrated organically into the look of the show made it a fantastic experience. I wish we'd arrived in time to hear The Unicorns. The DJ whose set preceded the main event was fantastic.

I wanted to see Arcade Fire because I like some of their songs, but once we were inside the venue I was totally locked-in to the stage. So much energy, the set was cool and they just all looked like they were having fun and happy to be there. It definitely helped that the venue was somewhat empty, so our floor standing room tickets gave us plenty of personal space and a great direct view. The encore was silly and fun, it was obvious they loved performing.

It wasn't just a concert, it was a performance on par with the best broadway plays. The opening with Rick Perry in full on "Max Headroom" mode was hilarious. Loved the paper mache oversized heads; Obama, Pope Francis, and the band. The band used their space well. Win Butler came out in front and connected with the audience and Regine going to the middle of the pit was insane. Regine's cover of "Heart of Glass" was amazing. The band put on more than a show, but an experience that left the audience members feeling like they were apart of the band. We never felt like we were watching a band play a setlist of our favorite songs, we felt like we were apart of the show. We've been to many concerts, but never, ever had an experience like it. Arcade Fire are geniuses who's brilliant minds have changed the paradigm of the stage show forever, in my book. Let's put it this way, if I didn't have kids, I would have never left, just so I could feel that way forever.

What an amazing, truly unforgettable show. Not only was the actual musical performance spot on; not only was the set and light show spectacular; not only did they have additional performers and musicians on stage with them at various times to a add to the spectacle; but they were all so clearly there for us, their fans. They interacted with the audience in a way that few other musical performers ever have, at least in my experience. Win was borrowing the phones of the awestruck people at the very front and filming them and himself (and then returning the phones). Several of the band members disappeared at various times, only to reappear and continue performing on a hidden stage out in the middle of the audience. They even had a couple of huge confetti cannons that erupted towards the end of the concert, blanketing nearly everyone in the entire amphitheater with streamers and large pieces of confetti. And the final act was to have all the musicians line up (like a samba line or something) and follow Win out into and through the audience, while still singing, to finally disappear through a side door. The whole mood was very celebratory, too, and I felt high just from being a part of it. Wonderful. Fantastic. Spectacular. Words fall flat compared to the feeling of actually being there. One of the top few events or performances of my life.

I am new to their music but when I heard they were coming to town I asked my friend who they were and he suggested to buy tickets. I bought floor tickets and we got there early to get up close. It was super awesome.

Arcade Fire's first concert of the tour was excellent! The opening acts were amazing and primed everyone for the main event. They came out in style and played both in the front and down on the back of the floor. Every seat was a great seat and you felt like you were part of the show, especially if you dressed up. Although dressing up was not mandatory, it added a certain mystique to the night and would highly suggest creative outfits. The vocals were some of the best I've heard live and the instrumentals were spectacular, with huge support on stage. There were a great deal of artistic additions, but I won't divulge due to spoilers. I considered it like a huge house party in Adult Disney Land. It was a good show for me and for my teenage son and nephew. After the concert, Kid Koala kept us going for about 45 minutes longer and allowed my boys to hit the pit and dance. I was disappointed that the show wasn't sold out and will be taking a larger group with me next time around. I was hyped for the concert with high expectations and I was not let down. I just hope the band realizes how much their fans appreciate their hard work, creativity, and dedication. It was phenomenal and you WILL NOT be disappointed.

AWESOME! Loved every minute of it. You will not be disappointed. The stage, lighting, music, production, etc. was top notch. The songs from their Reflektor album really translated well on stage. For those in the front row, be prepared for Win Butler to grab your iPhone and take pictures. It's just impressive to watch all of the musicians on stage move around and play various instruments. Here Comes the Night Time, with the ensuing encore, was definitely a grand finale. Overall, an absolutely amazing show!

Seeing Arcade Fire play the Yum Center in Louisville was the best concert I've ever been to. I average 30-40 shows per year, so that's saying a lot. Their energy and stage design was fantastic. I highly recommend everyone catch a show on this tour before it ends.

I had seen a few televised shows including ACL Live and wasn't overly impressed. I must say this show had a perfect mix of sights and sounds. A few of my friends were a little beefed about the "dress code" all I can say is we all wished we would have dressed up, Must show show of the 2014 season. Took my 12 year old to his first show and I may have spoiled him forever. It will be hard to have another show live up to his first.

So fun and cool! It had the vibe of the "Reflektor" album (shiny mirrors and Caribbean beats). Many songs from Reflektor sounded especially groovy with the giant thumping bass filling the stadium. (Here Comes the Nighttime, Flashbulb Eyes) There were a lot of cool visual elements as well: neon lights, reflecting mirrors, and most everyone (including the audience) in formal wear or costume. However, if you like Arcade Fire's previous albums more, they play just as many "old" songs as new. "The Suburbs" is my favorite album, and they played many songs from that album. They also played a handful from "Funeral" and "Neon Bible". Kid Koala was a cool opening act, setting a carnival-like dance-party-vibe up before the concert. Everyone in costumes and formal wear enhanced this element as well. The style of everything reminded me frequently of the "Black Orpheus" movie they set the album to on YouTube. Also worth mentioning, the event logistically was very pleasant. It was not overly crowded and the staff was efficient. I walked in with my paperless ticket option fast, bought a tour t-shirt and poster quickly, bought a tall beer, and eased into the stadium without stress.

Great energy in this concert! The band interacted with th crowd, and all people at the concert were having a big smile platered on their faces. There was singing and dancing and lights - and a giant disco ball :)... Maybe the venue helps (it was a the Pavillion). Awesome.

Just go see them, you owe it to yourself. They still are and always will be one of the best live acts of all time. I've seen A LOT of really big acts in my time, but when it comes to have fun, nobody comes close to Arcade Fire. I'll be seeing them ever single time they come around, they really are that good.

This band is so talented, engaging and energetic. You would never know that they were on the tail end of their tour. Ticket prices were reasonable, but the beer was crazy expensive. $17.00 for a 19 oz can.

Terrible show, so poorly done that we left halfway through. Arcade Fire covered up a dearth of talent and a lack of inspiration with uninspired dance moves and hand waving and - purple smoke? Yes indeed. A complete rip-off. And the venue wasn't half full. Apparently most people knew something we didn't. Ugh.

I went to the concert with minimal knowledge of Arcade Fire s music other than a couple songs. But as a frequent music festival and concert-goer, I have to let you know that Arcade Fire puts on an incredible headlining show. They had the crowd on their feet the whole time, and even though it was nearing the end of their tour schedule, their energy did not seem diminished at all.

I was blown away by the Arcade Fire Show at Jiffy Lube Live. They really connected with the audience, leaving the stage and coming into the pavilion several times throughout the show to dance, sing and take selfies with their fans. Their new album, Everything Now, has not gotten the attention it deserves. Their songs are full of meaning and the music itself is complex. Did I mention the voices of the singers? Unbelievable! The technology used on screen was something I had never seen in my life, again showing the cutting edge of Arcade Fire. Can't wait until they come back around. Would love to see them at Merriweather again as Jiffy Lube was a bit too large.

Jiffy Lube live is a terrible place and I wish Arcade Fire had played at The Anthem or even Merriweather instead. It s a crappy place that s old and in bad shape, they charged 16$ for a beer, and had tacky auto parts billboards everywhere. There were probably less than 1000 people there....which is crazy for a band of this stature. Perhaps they played there as some sort of meta prank, considering their recent material.

The night was beautiful. The weather, perfect. The Seaport District was humming with activity. Arcade Fire put on a great show. They did all the favs as well as new material from their latest release. Win spoke with fondness for the Boston area and the great hospitals and research work that goes on here. Regine was animated and did a great rendition of her "Swirl dance". They had a great light show and the sound was good. We stayed at Yotel Boston for this night and the next. The Blue Hills Bank Pavilion is the best venue for live music in Boston during the summer months.

Best show ever at the best venue ever!! As always, Arcade Fire never disappoints! Their energy and their talent is palpable! Win and Reginne have the most amazing chemistry along with the rest of their equally talented band. Would see them over and over again! My favorite band ever, hands down!

This was my 2nd time seeing arcade fire. It was an amazing show. This time they played a lot more deep cuts. Which as a fan i really appreciate that. I saw them last year when they came around and it was great that it wasn't the same setlist. They were also very engaging with the crowd. 10/10 would see again.

I ve been a fan of Arcade Fire ever since Funeral came out 14 years ago and have loved every album ever since. This was my first time getting to see them perform live and it did not disappoint. I was expecting them to primarily play songs from the Everything Now album, but was pleasantly surprised that they played a variety of songs from every album - primarily focusing on Funeral and The Suburbs....and played a lot of my personal favorites. Highly recommend seeing them if you ve been following them for years. They put on an incredible performance full of energy and their light shows suited each song perfectly. I couldn t have asked for a better concert and will definitely be seeing them again in the future whenever I can.

Very high energy excellent show. Wide variety of songs played. Loved that there was never a pause between songs, as there was always someone playing while others changed instruments or whatever. They even started on the posted time. 3rd time seeing them, and would go again if they come close enough.
