The Adler Theater was the perfect venue to witness the creative genius that is Chris Cornell. We settled into our seats, dead center balcony, for an unforgettable night. Unfortunately, the evening started off with an odd opening act, who may or may not have mentioned his name, but was vulgar and inappropriate. He had an excellent tone to his voice but his original lyrics were, in a word, awful. His partner on stage was playing a silent guitar until his solo. Anyway, on to Chris. His musical ability is incomparable. Lyrics, melody, guitar, and harmonica were on point. His partner, Brian, was equally incredible without saying a word. In all, incredible and unforgettable night. Thank you Chris!

Chris Cornell always puts on an amazing performance. His voice is so powerful live, absolutely the most powerful voice in rock and roll. His songs are beautiful and he always blows you away with the performance. He is also so funny and down to earth, no big ego here! Very talented and well worth any price of a ticket to see him whether its a stadium huge line up show or an acoustic show in a small venue. Amazing gifted talented singer!!!

Great to see Chris again in a small venue (one NOT like that shoebox, Hotel Cafe). The covers and acoustic versions of the songs he sang have been online and available to purchase, but hearing them in person is priceless.

As always Chris put on aa amazing show. He has a lot of heart really plays to his fans.Great to see him in such a small venue...I was 3 deep from the stage! I am always blown away by his voice and the feeling behind every song. As always he left me wanting more. When he ran off the stage without saying anything we thought he would be back. Then someone in on the floor saw Tom Hanks in the balcony and called out to him. All the focus went to Tom and no one was clapping for Chris and so he never came back. I don't know if he done, but ..... Will go to see Chris any time he is playing and I can get tickets. An amazing voice and musician with a lot of heart, but not a lot of ego. Love you Chris. Thanks for an evening I will always remember. Peace

All i can say is WOW !! Chris is on top of his game very interactive with the crowd ,laughing and joking ,taking request ,and really seemed to be happy to be there you never really see how good an artist is until you you see them in an an acoustic small venue like Carnegie hall, played way over two hours we had great seats. One of the best voices in music today ,Seemed like a personal show. If u ever get a chance to see Chris in an acoustic show you better go you'll never forget it ,,thanks Chris for the best show Ive ever seen. P.S. The Chris Cornell Songbook Tour concert I saw on Easter night was the closing show for a trifecta of concerts my friends and I attended. We saw Chris in Chicago, Milwaukee, and St. Paul. He captivated the crowds with his golden vocals and left us wanting more. The acoustics at the Fitzgerald only amplified the magnificence of Cornell's musicality. Chris seemed so comfortable and confident on stage. He is truly amazing!!!! I look forward to more shows like the Songbook Tour in the future. This one was labeled "Volume one". Hope not to wait too long for "Volume Two"!!!!!

If you are a fan of Chris', then you will want to see this show. It is a crisp, clean, & shining example of what an incredible artist he his. He performs songs from his entire career. So, whether you became a fan in the Temple of Dog era, Soundgarden, or Audioslave eras, or when he released either of his solo albums, you will really enjoy this show. He gets to show off how beautiful his voice is and much control over it he has. Just a terrific and impressive show.

I have seen Chris 7 times, with soundgarden, audioslave, and solo acoustic. This was by far the worst performance I have seen from him. Don't get me wrong, it was still ok, but I expected so much more given the amazing shows I have seen from him in the past. Last year his acoustic show in Calgary was Phenomenal! This time he really sounded tired. Could not hit the high notes that well, struggled in many songs. Sure we are all getting old, but it was sad to see this icon not at his best. Seats were awesome, sounds was terrific, and the opening guy was great also. he played a long time, which was good, but maybe too long. the last hr was not really necessary, and a bit too much self-indulgence noise making that was not really a song. Just make everyone uncomfortable as we waiting for it to me over. Unnecessary Chris, really.

I've seen Soundgarden twice in the past five years but never Chris Cornell solo. He played an amazing set. Two and a half hours of non-stop action, with a set-list spanning decades of his career. He played Soundgarden, Temple of the Dog, Audioslave, and his solo stuff. He definitely chose his set-list to please his fans. He even played covers from Bob Dylan and The Beatles (Sgt. Peppers). This show was awesome. Had been waiting for Chris to come to Indianapolis for an acoustical show for some time and boy was it worth the wait. Really hoping that he will put out a DVD/CD from this tour. Behind Robert Plant, and Paul Rogers, Chris has to have one of the best voices in Rock Music. Murat Theatre is a really nice venue to see a show. Theatre didn't want pictures or videos taken. Not sure who's idea that was!

...in rock right now, if not all time. Between the mix of covers of other musicians' songs and his own, this was almost two and a half hours of an incredible ride that I wish I could relive. Chris Cornell is one of those rare musicians whose music is better live than recorded, and it's phenomenal recorded! Add to that that he's one of the most humble and genuinely fan-friendly rocks stars I've even seen--even climbing off the stage at one point to hug an adoring fan and take a few pictures with others--and you have the perfect recipe for what I thought was the best live performance I've ever seen. The music was pure and perfect and many of the songs were performed solo, still sounding nearly original. Others were accompanied by his multi-talented friend, Brian, who played the piano and cello. Who plays a cello at a rock concert and still makes it sound bad ass? Chris and Brian, that's who.

He is a talker! He played for over 2 hours (which I heard from other die hard fans is a long show). He is so talented.

The Chris Cornell show last night at the Hippodrome Theater in Baltimore was fantastic. This was my third time seeing Chris Cornell solo (I also saw him in 2007 and 2013), and I have seen Soundgarden three times (in 1994, 2010, 2011) - and each time it's been fantastic! At 9pm Chris just casually walked out on to the stage. The audience of mostly older folks (average age was probably 40, definitely a lot in their 50s) went wild. In fact throughout the show, Chris kept commenting how loud and crazy we were. On stage was just Chris and his guitar sometimes accompanied by Brian on cello. He played a great set list with the perfect mix of his solo hits as well as his hits from Soundgarden, Temple of the Dog and Audioslave. Chris also performed covers of Prince, Bob Dylan, Led Zeppelin, Metallica/U2, John Lennon and Otis Redding. Before "Blow Up the Outside World," Chris referred to the Freddie Gray situation without actually mentioning Freddie Gray or the police. He just said that he wasn't from here and it's none of his business, but he was very shocked when he woke up to the news that morning. He said there is definitely a problem when a prisoner arrives to the police station with a broken neck and something has to be done about it or it will never be fixed. I think myself, my friend Michelle and maybe about 10 other people applauded. The rest of the conservative, pro-police, republican, headbanger crowd was silent. Although Chris was magnificent, the audience was not. Between people constantly crawling over me to go to the bathroom and the guy talking incessantly throughout the show, I couldn't really lose myself in the music the way I like to. Here I thought a theater concert would be very relaxing sitting in nice seats inside with perfect temperature. I've had a better experience standing outside in the rain all day in the general admission. Not sure why people talk during a concert, especially an acoustic show. If you want to talk, stay home and play the cd. In the same way, I don't know why people feel the need to get drunk during concerts to the point they are out of control. It is not a party, it is a music concert. If you want to get trashed and have a party, stay home and play the cd. Real fans of music don't get obliterated on alcohol at concerts. We are here for the music, not for a party.

I've attended more shows than I could possibly count over the years. However, the one artist that has been a staple in my music catalog and my constant go to for the past 2 decades was not one of them. I've been a massive fan of Chris Cornell for what seems like an eternity. Sunday nights show at the North Charleston Performing Arts Center couldn't have been more perfect. The venue itself was absolutely awesome. Of course it didn't hurt that my tickets were on the 2nd Row! I've always loved the acoustic/"unplugged" sets for most artist. I think it actually gives us the opportunity to hear the true talent of an artist, unfiltered and raw. That is exactly what I experienced with Cornell on Sunday night! His Songbook release has always been a favorite for this very reason. The songs from Higher Truth seemed to take on a particularly magical element in this format as well. The dramatic range of Cornell's vocals are perfectly showcased in an acoustic setting. I'll always yearn for my Soundgarden and my Audioslave tunes, but honestly, I couldn't have asked for more than to experience the true iconic talent displayed by this incredible artist in any other way. If given the opportunity to see Chris Cornell on this tour, I'd highly recommend you see him!

If you think of him as only the lead singer for two rocking bands (Soundgarden and Audioslave), then you really need to treat yourself to this stripped-down acoustic show. He is incredibly witty and charming, telling the stories behind the songs, and truly relating to the audience in a warm, initimate setting of smaller venues. Do yourself a favor and GET TICKETS. Do not delay. BTW, he does drop a few non-gratuitous descriptive words -- so if you're easily offended, just be aware -- and for crying out loud, it won't detract from the awesomeness of the show.

This was hands down the best show that I have ever seen. I have been a mega fan of his music since the early 90's. It was a total dream come true to see him live. Every song he played was magnificent. Listening to it acoustically only made it better. I would see it again tonight if it was possible. If you are in any way a fan this is a must see. I could go on and on about this show as I have to everyone I have seen in the last two days. The playlist is so fantastic touching on every level of music he has played from Soundgarden to Temple of the Dog, AudioSlave, to his own recordings and a cover of The Beatles. It says below for me to list the songs but to be honest I was so caught up in the moment of the whole thing it felt like a dream and I can not remember all the songs he played. I was fortunate enough to switch seats with my Aunt who was with us and sit on the front row and I was completely mesmerized. I could not even stay in my seat.

Chris Cornell's voice is not fading in the least! He sang and played beautifully and the cellist with him was just as good! The theater was good for a small show, but packed! The seats in the balcony of this old theater are tiny and offer no leg room! We still enjoyed the show, though!

PLEASE, IF YOU GO TO A CONCERT, BE CONSIDERATE OF OTHERS AROUND YOU! I can't believe how many people sitting in the front rows treated this concert as a bar outing. 20 trips to the concession stands, frolicking up and down the aisles, talking on their phones during amazing songs, chatting loudly during the set... I was really disappointed by this. Chris is always amazing and Chicago Theater is a great venue but people really need to mind their manners next time they attend an acoustic set at a sit-down theater. This wasn't a LOUD Soundgarden concert where maybe you could get away with these behaviors. Have some respect for the artist and for fans like myself who cherish shows like these for every minute he is on the stage.

Chris Cornell has ALWAYS been an amazing vocalist and musician. I've been to a lot of shows in my lifetime, and he is by far one of the best live performers I've ever seen. The first time I saw him sing (with Audioslave) I actually thought he might be lip-syncing, because he sounded SO incredibly perfect! How could someone actually hit all of those notes?!! I saw him on his Songbook tour a few years ago, so I knew this was going to be a great show. However, this was even better. I especially loved the dude playing the cello with him. UNBELIEVABLY COOL. Really yielded a 'tasty' flavor to some already awesome tunes. My wife, who doesn't really share my 'enthusiasm' for rock music, LOVED this show. It was extremely intimate and musical, and Chris Cornell is simply a gift. BUY A TICKET NOW!!!

It was a Great concert. He sounds better than ever. My girlfriend said she has never gotten goose bumps at any concerts with someone singing. His singing gave her goose bumps! He sounds as good as his cds and back in the days from Temple of the Dog, Sound Garden and Audio Slave. This is a must see concert. I believe he has one of the best voices there is in male rock singers. He did not need a band to make it a great concert. His guitar playing is excellent!! If you can go don't miss it. Well worth going!

The venue was amazing. I think the capacity was 550 people. Been Soundgarden/Chris Cornell fan since the beginning. Long wait for Chris to come on because they were soundchecking so many instruments than when we saw Matt and Kim peak out from the side of the stage we knew we were in for a once in a lifetime show. Chris played a few songs that brought out the rest of the band and introduced them as his special guests and said maybe we should form a band.

He definitely entertained. Sang, played almost non-stop, and then interacted with the crowd between sets. Amazing.

The sweet soulful voice of Chris Cornell was spot on, I could not believe he was this good live. I loved the stores between songs, letting all of us in on how he came up with such great songwriting inspirations. It just makes me appreciate him even more. From Soundgarden, Temple of the dog, Audioslave to all of his solo albums, one great song after another. I just did not want it to end. Next time Chris Cornell come around I will be back with more friends and cameras.

Chris Cornell put on a great one man show Tuesday night in Kalamazoo. He played all the hits and had a lively interaction with the crowd. He should be seen by anyone who is a fan of his work with Soundgarden, Audioslave or his solo projects. In great voice and playing skillfully he was simply amazing.

This was a fabulous show. I saw him at The Egg a few years back and I did not think that could be topped but this was spectacular. What an amazing man with an amazing voice at an amazing venue. It was wonderful!!

Chris Cornell at the Palace Theater in Albany NY was amazing, however, hearing CC perform solo acoustic only makes me yearn for the raw power of Soundgarden behind him. I admire his artistic endeavors, but a song such as Rusty Cage really isn't quite as moving backed up solely by a cellist (no disrespect to Brian). Great performance either way but I left feeling slightly unfulfilled...

Chris Cornell's acoustic concert at the Palace theatre in Albany, NY did not disappoint! I had the pleasure of seeing this artist in a similar acoustic setting about 2 years ago. I was absolutely blown away! His is by far the finest rock voice I have ever heard live! Amazing range and clarity that has to be seen to be believed. Absolutely mesmerizing! Ditto for the Albany concert. Chris' voice was once again other-wordly as he effortlessly displayed his incredible vocal range for over 21/2 hrs to an appreciative audience. Chris was accompanied by a cellist introduced as Brian, whose playing added extra depth and variety to Chris' guitar work. It all came together to give the audience a wonderful and memorable performance.

After seeing him twice on this tour, several Soundgarden shows, and also during his Songbook tour... I am ruined for any other concerts in the future. Nothing will ever compare to his performance during the Charleston show!! Epic

Flawless victory! Chris was super interactive with the crowd, especially in the first few rows. He was engaging with the audience to the point that you desperately wanted to be his friend and go out for drinks right after the show. His vocals are so god-like it goes without saying, but for the sake of the review, he was 11/10 if that puts how great he was simply enough. His set list was great, covering his work from not only his Higher Truth album, but from previous albums and projects. If anybody thinks watching an acoustic set is a snoozefest, Chris Cornell will prove you wrong! People were literally trying to rush the stage. I would have too, if it didn't mean falling from the balcony, and snapping my neck... But even that was almost worth it.

Chris Cornell can do no wrong. I've seen him now solo acoustically and with Soundgarden four times and there's nothing at this man cannot do! His voice sounds better I'm sure than ever wether he singing his music from Temple of the dog, Soundgarden, Audioslave or soloSpace he will take you on an engaging lyrical journey

This show was amazing. He played a great mix of new and old and threw in some awesome covers. His cover of "one" was Metallica's lyrics with U2's music....one of the coolest covers I've ever heard! His voice is a gift from God and you can tell he just truly loves to perform in this acoustic/storyteller format. I was blown away! I got tears in my eyes a few times!

This acoustic performance was outstanding! Probably the best acoustic show we've ever been to. The venue was intimate and made it easy to interact with him. He spent time talking about each song and the inspiration for it which made each one more enjoyable. Chris told a story about being really moved by U2s song One. He also loved the Metallica same named song. He's a rocker so he sang Metallica's words to U2s melody. It was fantastic!

I originally purchased tickets to this concert for my boyfriend, who's obsessed with Chris Cornell's music. I've only heard two or three songs by Chris at this point, but his performance literally blew me out of the water. His voice is incredible (no lip-syncing, and sounds like you're listening to the actual soundtrack). Not to mention, he and his partner (Bryan's?) music abilities were phenomenal. Fantastic Negrito came on before Chris and he too had a brilliant performance. These are true artists who don't need flashing lights or backup dancers or smoke to make their performance amazing.

Chris Cornell's voice was as great as I could have hoped. I wasn't sure what to expect as far as back-up or accompaniment. He had maybe 6-8 different guitars and it was mainly just him. He did have one very talented musician, Brian accompanying him on various instruments. I couldn't believe how great the cello went with songs like Black Hole Sun. The venue was also really nice and had great acoustics.

What an incredible voice and musician! This was a unique and memorable experience. I've seen the greats in their peaks of their prime (e.g. Clapton, Stones, U2 to name a few) and spending 2+ hours w/Chris was just as thrilling and in some cases more so! This guy is so incredibly talented and for him to share his talents in an intimate venue was AWESOME in the true sense of the word. If you have the chance, you shouldn't miss out. Love him because he writes incredible music and his performances are amazing!!!

Chris as a solo audience had the me entrenched with his music and strong voice. I enjoyed his versions of songs from other artists. Kudos to Brian for playing a variety of instruments on backup superbly. Very disappointed with the number of drunken people causing trouble in such a nice venue.
