The play was so good and so much fun. The actors and musicians were exceptional. We completely enjoyed ourselves and look so forward to the next performance by Desoto Family Theatre.

Wonderful dancing numbers. Large talented cast. Beautiful voices, every bit as good as very well known singers. Tale of 1906 Oklahoma, about the cowboys and the farmers, with a classic love story woven in. Genuinely engaging show tunes. Very enjoyable. Leaves the audience humming the tunes afterward and feeling happy.

Terrific cast, wonderful voices, great enthusiasm. It was very well done. The main characters all had terrific voices and dancing skills. It was a really fun show to see. Love the old musicals! The guy who played Curley was especially good and Laurie showed wonderful dancing ability. All very well presented.

During a recent performance of OKLAHOMA! by the Asheville Bravo Concerts, I was impressed by the performance. As a die hard fan of Broadway musicals and plays the actors brought forth a complelling blend of comedy and musical talent which is a plus for Asheville theater lovers. The technology used for sound, lighting, as well as props and costume was definatly worthy of an on Broadway theatrical show. Excellent Highly recommended ! A+

While this musical has been around for a long time, it just never gets old. The sets were understated, but adequate, and in my opinion the casting was excellent and the singing superb. An evening of great entertainment and a perfect musical for the whole family. Highly recommend this tour.

There is something wrong with the sound system, Couldn't hear some of the actor's lines. It was too loud and muffled some of the voices.

Rather sparse on sets.. sound track for vocals was poor for several numbers. Most soloists were good, and the chorus was excellent.

The actors were excellent as was their musical talent. The acoustics were very poor. The two people I sat with and I could not understand very much of the dialogue due to the poor sound quality, and the only reason we enjoyed the performance was because we knew the story and the music backwards and forwards before we went. This same troop should find some way to improve their sound sysytem or else just accept gigs in auditorium venues. It is a shame to lose all of that talent to the rafters of a gym.

The performance was great, but the seating sucked. We can't believe we paid over $60 each for such awful seats. Only 2/3 of the stage was visible; the seats were just hard, fold-out chairs stacked against each other. Try sitting in one of these for 2.5 hours and only seeing part of the stage.

Couldn't see much. All I could do was listen to the singing. Something about chimney sweep and kites. Kept wondering when they would start talking about Oklahoma.

I saw the final performance of Oklahoma last evening and it was just wonderful! The staging, the costumes, the voices, and the energy of the performers made the evening a most enjoyable one. This was my first time at Toby's and I most certainly will be going back. In addition, the buffet dinner was quite delicious and the servers were very pleasant and came to the table often to make sure everything was okay. I would highly recommend this theatre and am sorry others will not have a chance to experience this lively and highly entertaining show.

What a nice evening we had at Toby's! The food was great and the production of Oklahoma was delightful. You certainly get your money's worth--it's a whole evening of food and entertainment! We had seats on the second level, and practically any seat would have been great since it's a rather intimate theater-in-the-round.

The show was great with amazing actors....it was surreal that the actors were actually serving the diners/guests during breaks in the show! I have been to hundreds of broadway shows and plays but have never experienced anything like this (where actors double as servers)..............Only thing that needs an upgrade is the place and their stage. It was cramped and the audience got back and side views of the actors during the show. The theater needs to have a formal stage where the actors could face the audience at all times.

I really enjoyed watching the performance of "Okalahoma". The performers definitely enjoyed giving the audience all their talent. The dancing and singing could rival the TV show "American Idol." The actors portrayed all emotions-sadness, happiness, anger, etc. this was an entertaining evening of fun!

I was pleasantly surprised with the performers and the ability to work in such a small stage. I enjoyed the singing, the costumes and the proximity to the stage. We attended a Friday evening performance and thoroughly enjoyed it!!!!! My only complaint is the food!!! Less is more, 3 good entrees of good quality food would be sufficient.

Sunday's final performance was thrilling to see. The entire cast was burning on all cylinders with many show-stopping moments. In particular, the dance numbers and their choreography was as good as any Broadway production. The cast , which was unusualy large for a local production, provided music which was clean and well rehearsed with understandable lyrics which gave this old theater person pure joy! Every aspect of the show was top notch...sets, costumes and lighting. Not to forget the amazing orchestra which managed to sound like a musical group twice its size. Bravo to the Musical director!. Again..the caliber of dancers was superb...from the little tykes up to the beautifully danced Dream Ballet. The male dancers truly shone in this production. I was thrilled to see a near full house too. This city should recognize how lucky we are to have a quality production company like Cabrillo Players!

This regional theater production was reviewed favorably by the Los Angeles Times, and it lived up to the review and then some! It was a major production, flawlessly performed from the stars on down to the extras, not to mention the fully professional orchestra. A simple pick up of will-call tickets became a half-hour nightmare, because (we were finally told) "Ticketmaster is down." Fortunately the curtain was delayed to allow people to endure the wait and get their seats.

From the beginning to the end, the musical Oklahoma was absolutely fabulous! The singing was superb, better than I have ever seen, and the dancing was so enchanting! The talent displayed at that performance at the Cabrillo Music Theatre was of the highest caliber. My guests were so impressed, they couldn't stop raving about the performance, and the wonderful performers, and the costumes, and the completely satisfying experience OKLAHOMA was!! I can't wait to go b ack to the Cabrillo,

This production of, OKLAHOMA!, reminded me why this musical changed the landscape of musical theater. This cast brought to life the great story, incredible music, and spectacular dance numbers. I have never seen a full length dream ballet, and this cast had the dancers to pull off the best dream ballet I have ever seen. Top that off with the amazing singers they found for all the leads, and this lead to the greatest performance of this show I have ever seen. Bravo to the cast, crew, and creative team for this wonderful production.

Having seen many MANY productions in the L.A. area over the past 25 years, I was surprised and thrilled with the caliber of this production! The leads were wonderful--INCREDIBLE voices, and the dancers were fantastic, as well. Direction, choreography, staging, lighting, all were top-notch, as good as I have seen in NY on the Great White Way. This is one of the top 3 productions I have seen in Los Angeles. Special recognition of Dan Callaway, whose voice simply filled my soul--hearing him lead the title song was as thrilling and experience as I've had in the theatre. Thank you to all involved, and congratulations!

This was an excellent musical, the voices were amazing, the dancing was awesome, the orchestra played beautifully. It seems ISU performing arts really knows how to put on a great show and I'm so glad of that because we have followed freshman Christina Duris through her high school performances and look forward to what there is to come of her college performances. Great Performance!!

Pepperdine University's production of Oklahoma! was first rate! I enjoy live professional productions and was wondering how a unniversity level show would compare. Let me just say, that this production was better than a number of professional productions I have seen on Broadway! Live musical theatre is alive and well on the west coast - Bravo!!!! Every member of this ensemble was extremely taleted and energetic, the orchestra was incredible, the set, lighting and sound were professional quality - what a wonderful treat for the senses - and all for the price of a $20 ticket. I would encourage you to see this classic musical if you can.

Violence and sugggestive sexual actions and language portrayed lewdly, causing us to walk out before first act was over....specifically after first gunshot....I am a grandmother to a 9 and 11 year-old ....I had expected the light- hearted version I had seen on Broadway.....perhaps this version just more evidence of deterioration in our culture....who knows....

I was very disappointed in this broadway production. The talent was good but the content saddened me. Too much time was spent on the dark side of Jud and and took away from the light and fun tone this musical always had for me. Competition has always been a part of the play and good vs. evil a part as well. The liberties taken with emphasis being placed on naked girls and Jud's evil disposition made this something I would not want my kids to be a part of. It doesn't take dark details to make someone to be known as the bad guy Instead of feeling good when I left the theatre I felt depressed. Why does theatre feel like it is going forward when it brings out the dark side? The worse part is I know there was at least one School there to review the musical so they could perform it later in the year....I hope they leave out the dark parts.

I am not sure of how many theatrical productions of Oklahoma have been produced since the stageplay opened at the St. James Theater in New York City on May 31, 1943 and ran for 2,212 performances, but I know they are many. This production was a very good product to me as one who has seen several good productions in various locals over a number of years and even participated in local productions. OKLAHOMA remains a timeless classic to those of us who remember and enjoyed those times of innocence in stage production when compared to current stage productions standards and morality. I thought this production of Oklahoma featured very strong performances from most of the performers who brought to life the familiar characters of this classic. I thought the performers in the roles of Laurey, Ado Annie, Aunt Eller, Will Parker, Ali Hakim, and Jud Fry were really strong in their renditions of these classic roles. I thought the performer in the role of Curly was a little less strong, but still enjoyable. The rest of the cast was sound, but not outstanding. The sets were a little lacking in some regards, but above average in most regards. The lighting was good, and the sound acceptable in light of the fact that the venue of production is not the best by theater standards in relation to sound quality. Much more could be said, but I really did enjoy this production and would recommend it to those who love this classic stageplay.

The lead female singer had an outstanding voice and the female cast singers harmonized wonderfully in this edition that fell a bit short of the original 1955 movie edition. The male singers were above average, but were not outstanding. The dancing lacked energy for the most part. The parts of Jud Fry, the peddler, and Ado Annie were very well played. The scenery was sparse and amateurish, detracting from the play.
