This show was nowhere near enjoyable. As stated in previous reviews the sound was awful but that was not the worst part. With the exception of Wendy and the green light that played Tinkerbell, the acting was pathetic. I have seen better acting in high school productions. We ended up leaving at intermission as we laughed to the parking lot. I probably will not be returning to the Burnsville Performing Arts Center for another production if this is what they put out.

This is a play well worth missing. Other than the sets and the flying, which were OK but nothing spectacular, this was nothing but a second rate production. I've seen much better community theater and high school plays for a lot less money. Save your money!

Peter Pan was a wonderful play that my kids (ages 7,9 and 10) all enjoyed. I have never been to the Burnsville Performing Arts Center and it is a beautiful building and very easy to park and get into! They have snacks and beer and drinks for intermission.

Peter Pan without the music was difficult at best. The sets were gorgeous but unfortunately couldn't carry the show. None of the dancing, none of the music, why would a "Light Opera" company completely eliminate the best parts of the show! Several good performances by individuals, but as a whole, the production was not up to par with even a low budget high school production.

We really enjoyed the play. I did have an issue regarding the sound - many times it was difficult to make out the words. The costumes were amazing and the grandkids were impressed with the flying but agian if they didn't already know the story so well it would have been difficult to understand at times --- the sound seemed like it was on low. Great Play!!!!!

We took our 2 grandaughters age 3 and 5. They loved it! There was plenty of action and the sets were beautiful! The show held their attention throughout and my 5 year old grandaughter thought it was so great that I took them to the Theater that I was "Grammytastic"! Can't get better than that!

The acting was very so-so; the role of Wendy was done best. The sound system was horrible - lines were muddled and not understandable. I would call it a high school play with really great sets - except I've seen better high school plays!!!! With better sound systems! How about 3 intermissions to change the sets????? How amateurish! We took our grandkids, who've seen GOOD theater, and they didn't think much of it. In their words, it was "okay'. They really like the "chess players" vignettes which played out during set changes the most!!! Lower quality theater overall....

I'm not trying to be mean, but this was the worst production I've ever seen. The sound was horrible and the acting was even worse. I feel like I was cheated out of $65. Unless I hear better things in the future about this production company I will not be returning.

I had taken my grand daughter to see CATS back in March & the delightful Alyssa Robbins played Demeter. My grand daughter was so excited to see one of the CATS play a person. She just turned 6 in March. We got box seats this time to experience all the flying excitement. The seats were great & the performance was magical for her. This is the 3rd time she has seen a live performance. At first she couldn't quite grasp the fact it was real actors, not a movie. Now she is telling me we need season tickets for next years children's season after seeing all the upcoming events! I plan on getting them, because I'M NOT GOING EVER GROW UP EITHER!!

Billie Curtis as Peter Pan, BEST choice! She did an Amazing job!! And the Ugg-A-Wugg scene...by far the MOST memorable scene! West's Percussion line with their spin on Ugg-A-Wugg gave Stomp a run for its money!!! Linda Tieman worked her magic and brought out the talent in these already talented kids. They did an outstanding job!!!! Proud to be from West!!

This timeless classic came to life on the farewell tour of Cathy Rigby Mccoy's time as the boy who wouldn't grow up. I've seen the show with Mary Martin and Sandy Duncan. By far, THIS production is the best of the bunch. Ms. Rigby is amazing!!! Her physical performance, i.e., her gymnastics on stage are impressive. But her singing voice and her portrayal of the Pan had more depth and emotion than from the previous two Pans. Cathy Rigby set the bar very high for the rest of the cast to keep up with her. And keep up with her they did. Each cast member was outstanding. Not a weak performance in the bunch even though two roles were played by understudies that night. The special effects were superb. But the flying sequences were amazing!!! Some people started to leave during the curtain call to beat the traffic. It was their loss because of the special flying stunt during that curtain call. This was a perfect night of GREAT Broadway quality entertainment. If this show comes to your city, tell your friends about it and buy tickets to this historic farewell tour. You'll feel young again.

We watched the MAGIC happen at Lexington Opera House. Make no mistake, Cathy Rigby IS Peter Pan. If you're among those that never want to grow up, be sure to add seeing the ageless Rigby's Peter Pan performance to your bucket list. And if you lose it for just a moment when she makes her first on-stage appearance, or during the finale when Pan flies high above the audience sprinkling fair dust, that's OK. Hey...can't we all use a little fairy dust now-n-then?

My aunt introduced my sister and I to Peter Pan years ago. We are all captivated by this classic tale of youth and freedom and coming of age. I am getting married in a few months, and I purchased tickets for my mom, aunt, sister and I to see the show as a "girls day" before I "grow up" and get married. From the lovely al fresco dining area and delicious lunch, to the incredible digital scenes and superb performance, we all cried in delight while seeing this production. The flight scenes, complete with acrobatics, and the clever adaptions of the puppets and characters truly made this performance unique! We enjoyed our picnic lunch, the candy buffet, the souvenir shop and our fabulous seats in the 3608 theater! We cannot wait to attend another performance at the Freedom Center.

As an artist I don't enjoy criticizing the art of others. However, since you asked me for a review I will give you a few of my thoughts. The overall production felt a little dated in my opinion. Neither the director or producers did anything new with this production and I wanted more. The acting was fair. The actors didn't appear to be completely committed to every moment. The actress playing Peter Pan had good energy but, again I didn't believe her as that role. She has a beautiful voice but, she would be talking one way as Peter and then sing a soprano belt. It took me out of the world of the play every time. The dancers were solid. The sets were good as well. I bought two tickets to the show for a total of $150. I would NOT do that again. It's such a beautiful facility but, the bar needs to be raised. In an entertainment town it's surprising that it wasn't a stronger show. I'm sorry to give such an unfavorable review but, I truly hope it helps to improve future productions.

This was a fun show to watch. The story is of a boy named Peter Pan in search of a mother who finds Wendy, John, and Michael, and takes them to Neverland. There they encounter the Lost Boys, Tiger Lily and the Indians, and Captain Hook and his fellow pirates. The sets in this show are amazingly detailed and really convince you that you are actually in the location that they take place. Curiously, the staging is unique in the show as the show only has 5 different sets and instead of rotating like in other shows, entire scenes happen in one set and when they finish, they move on to the next one. In terms of the costumes, they made a really good job of differentiating the style of the Lost Boys, the Indians, and the Pirates. While there wasn't much choreography in this show, the little that there was, was done incredibly well. Finally, the music and singing in this show was very well done. This Peter Pan definitely captured the immaturity and longing of a child in the show's more emotional scenes. I would like to stress that this show is NOT from Disney, so it won't be a staged version of the Disney film. Overall, I enjoyed this show because the story was incredibly simplistic, funny, engaging, and just made you glad you watched it.

I didn't realize it was a kids' production - it was fine for taking my kids to but I wish I would have known ahead of time that it wasn't adult quality. I think the price was ok but a bit high for a play with all kids in it. The lead character, Peter Pan, really lacked strong singing skills.

Cathy Rigby is nothing short of sensational in her role as Peter Pan. At 60, she moves around that stage and in the air with the energy of a teenager. She is inspirational and motivational for children and seniors alike. This was my eight-year-old grandson's first stage play and it really sparked his enthusiasm for the theater. He told me that I would have to take him again (I loved hearing that.). The overall play was creative, exciting and colorful. The music was familiar and wonderful. Peter Pan was a great performance. It was our first visit to the Peabody, it was beautiful. My only complaint is that it was hot and there was someone eating potatoe chips in the balcony with a microphone on and you could hear the bag rustling and eatch bite of the chip and the crunching. It was disturbing until I figured out what it was and then just anoying.

We loved it. We just love the Pleasure Guild shows. They are always amazing and the talent is Broadway class. The girl playing the lead was absolutely incredible. I knew by her voice that she was not a child, yet was fun loving and believable in her acting.

After reading the story in his class, my son loved the character of Peter Pan. He had a special day out with my husband, and they were both blown away by the entire event. I'd rather see them attend these events and support the community! It can add up cost wise, but we budget for it and make it work!

I attended the performance of Peter Pan with two of my grandchildren and my two daughter-in-laws. The production was above and beyond my expectations. My grandson had dressed up as Peter Pan this past Halloween and has been watching the movie ever since. He is four and this was his first play and he told me it was awsome! My granddaughter is six and she enjoyed the dancing and singing. It was a wonderful way to spend a Saturday afternoon!

This was a good show for a great cause! Our family will be making it a tradition to support them every year. I think next year we may splurge for better seats though because being all the way at the top made it difficult to see. Thank you for an enjoyable family time!!

My son and I had a fabulous time at the production of Peter Pan. He loved the flying, and I loved that there were so many talented area students in the production. It was a night to remember!

Peter Pan starring MS. Rigsby was excellent! Her enthusiasm for the character brings it to life. The sets were bright, colorful, and life like that transported you into the story. It was terrific for children and those adults that are kid at heart. The acting singing and dancing were top notch and getting to meet the actors was a real treat. Truley dedicated professionals. It is a must see and will go down as a classic.

We had seen this production years ago but when it came to Lexington my 15 year old football player son asked if we could go. So the 5 of us, including 17 and 13 year old sisters purchased tickets. Although we had decent seats, my son's lament was that we wouldn't get sprinkled with pixie dust. The production was excellent. Although I had forgotten much of the details it was delightful seeing the teens recall all the action and be totally engrossed in it. This was an excellent family outing. I highly recommend it, even for families with teens.

The play was wonderful--my 4 year old granddaughter was enthralled. It's a shame that my Lexington Opera House seating was so horrible that it almost ruined the play for me. LOH should NEVER sell tickets to the seat that I had to endure.

We greatly enjoyed the performance and the thrill of seeing Cathy Rigby. The only downside of the performance was our seating in the front row. The conductor was two feet above our seats and block our view of center stage during most of the performance. We had been to other performances such as Legally Blonde and sat five seats to the right and never noticed the conductor then. I suppose he was conducting the cast in addition to the orchestra.

Cathy Rigby was a delight in her award winning characterization of Peter Pan. She has mastered this role and has added much to it to include her own humor and gymnastic abilities (also award winning). Ms. Rigby adds flibs, and somersaults both in the air and on the ground that add to the character of Peter Pan without one's recalling, "oh yeah, she's a gymnast." The children's rolls are played so well by young thespiams who are already very accomplished.
