We went to the show as a "team building" activity while we were in Las Vegas. We laughed a lot together, which is what any good team needs to do once in awhile. There's a lot of adult humor, so if you are building your team for your church, you might want to think twice; however, everyone else would have a blast! I highly recommend it!!

The show was very silly in a fun way. You're really there for the music as every performer had an outstanding voice which really made the music that much better. Having a rock band on stage at all times was really clever and lended itself to the whole experience. I would caution anyone thinking about bringing children as there is "80s" language and very risque/sexual references throughout. Go and enjoy the music while you laugh at the silly storyline, yet very funny in the way it is presented.

Awesome show. If you are into the 80's hairband scene you'll really appreciate the show. If you're not you'll still love it. Not for kids under 16 as its a bit risque with some real funny adult one-liners.

From the very moment you set foot in the theatre its like you were back in 80s. The stage set was incredible. Old guitars & band pictures of Poison, Motley Crue, Lita Ford, etc, hanging on the wall. The bar on the right side of the stage was cool, it looked like an old club bar. It was loaded with all the alcohol bottles you could think of. The music that was playing before the play started brought back lots of memories. We had the best seats row A, seats 2&4 on the right side of the stage. Up front were you could see all the action. The story line was very entertaining. The clothing the actors wore was typical 80s club clothes. I loved all the characters. Lonny (Mitchell Jarvis) was very cool. But my all time favorite was Drew (Constantine Maroulis). He's the main reason why I got the tickets. He has a great voice. They all do. I will definitely recommend this show to my friends. After the show was over, we stood and waited for the cast to come out. I got all their autographs. I took pictures with Sherry (Kerry Butler), Drew (Constantine) & Justice (Michele Mais). We plan to see it again, it was that good!!

Rock of Ages was very funny but not a very good tribute to hard rocking music. Tha being said, it was REALLY FUNNY! I was surprised at how much I laughed and how mature the humor was. I was expecting the immature stuff, like the slapstick and homophobic humor, but I wasn't expecting the self-referencing stuff. The problem with the music was that they don't play any complete songs and they shoe-horned the songs into stupid plot moments.

This the funniest, most entertaining Broadway play around. The cast is anamazing & versatile group. Joey is great as drew and has an amazing voice. Emily has an amazing set of pipes & does an amazing job as Sheri. Dee Snider was awesome as Dennis Dupree who knew he could act, dance & sing. jay as Lonny is the funniest character who includes the audience throught the play. Mitch is hysterical as Stacee Jax his oneliners crack you up everytime. Its 1 big party & will have to go again!!

as a teenager growing up on rock n' roll and heavy metal, i was waiting for this to come to town forever! and it came! and i LOVED it! all i can think about now is rock of ages! even from a artistic view, there were parts where you'd think it'd be easier to do in a movie with the freedom of video editing, but they were still able to do it and do it well in a play. the music was great!!! constantine maroulis was amazing! the live band never missed a beat, the singers were spot on every note, and their taste of music puts this show at the top of any musical in history!!! with american idiot right under it of course. definitely go see this show!!! no matter what it takes, go see it!!!

This was the second time I saw the show, and it was better than the first time. It was so cool to see Dee in this roll and he rocked it! Joey's voice was strong and clear and I thought he really gives 100%. Emily was blasting out her songs too, and overall, it was totally enjoyable. The energy in the audience was high and everyone seemed to have a good time. After the show the cast came out to sign autographs and pose for pictures and were very nice.

If you lived the 80's and rocked the Aqua Net, you NEED to see Rock of Ages. What a great show. The music is a total head bangers soundtrack. Bon Jovi, Extreme, Journey, Poison...and many many more. This show has something for everyone. For the girls, a great love story and the fabulous Constantine Maroulis and hot Mig Ayesa. For the guys, great 80's music and sexy girls on stripper polls. Not your average Broadway show here people. Just amazing fun! If you have the chance.....GO!!!

I was not going to get tickets to this show but won a pair in a raffle. After seeing it last week I decided that I needed to see it again. I was able to get tickets and went again this past Monday. The show has one of the best soundtracks ever and the way that the story is written into them is just some of the best work I have ever seen. If you don't see this show when it comes to your town you will be so sorry. Constantine was simply put amazing. He totally deserved the Tony nomination. The actor Patrick LeWallen that plays Lonny was wonderful.

Heard about this show and couldn't wait for it to come to the UK, so had to make a trip over the pond to see it...and I wasn't disappointed! The cast had recently changed so I was hoping they were as good as the previous reviews I'd read - and they weren't just good, they were amazing! Joey Taranto as Drew has a fantastic voice (and is lovely in person too, we met him after the show) and Emily Padgett as Sherrie has it all - voice, looks, acting ability (envious, moi?!). The rest of the cast were all great, especially Adam Dannheisser as the narrator Dennis... very funny. The real selling point for me, however, was the music. If you were born between about 1960 and 1980 and have a penchant for 80's rock, then this one is definitely for you - the songs are very cleverly woven into the plot and you'll be able to sing along. If not, then don't worry - you'll still enjoy it! All I can say is... Don't Stop Believin! :-)

As soon as we entered the theater we were lauging and having a great time. The whole environment was decorated as if you were in an 80's rock club. It started out a little sluggish and cheesy, but very quickly went to a rockin good time! The dancers were amazing. The band on stage was fantastic. The actors were absolutely perfect for the rolls. The new lead guy was absolutely adorable and had a great voice! I personally sang along to almost every song, and laughed so hard! Just good silly fun with my girl friends. Amazing, Spectacular, Sexy, Hilarious, Kick-A**. All of these & more describe Rock of Ages. A musical based on completely 80's hits is insane sounding, but works so amazingly. Rock of Ages can be classified as both a rock concert and a play. If you were a rocker in the 80's, this is a show you do not want to miss. This was the 2nd time I saw it. The first time was a touring production that came through San Diego. Both were amazing productions. The theater was smaller in Vegas so all seats were good. They also handed out LED Rock of Ages lighters to use during the show. One thing that made the Vegas show stand out was some interaction with the audience. It was really funny. The characters were cast perfect. The guy who played the MC was hysterical. If you've seen the movie and are debating if you'll like this, don't debate... GO! The movie unfortunately does not do the play justice. There is not even a comparison that can be made. We are huge theater goers. We love everything from Les Mis to Phantom to Evita to Mamma Mia and so on. We've seen hundreds. I'd have to say that Rock of Ages rates up there as one of the top shows I've ever seen (if not the top). The story line (as sappy as it is), truly has meaning and works very well with all the songs. Have fun and rock on!!

Anytime I get to hang out with my wife at night on a date is a good time but this line: I aint lookin for nothin but a good time and it don t get better than this describes our night at Rock of Ages at the Panatges theater. At the footer of this post I put a short video clip of the show. I didn t know what to expect going in since my wife Sarah bought the tickets. I knew it would be 80′s music and anyone my age or around my age knows 80′s music. As it turned out, it was a bit burlesque which … you know … I ll get over the torture one day … but the music was incredible and it was pure comedy start to finish. Don t Stop Believin was my favorite, the three part harmonies were fabulous. I should say as a disclaimer there are some steamy scenes (to put it mildly) so leave the kids under 18 at home. Too bad no one told me that or I wouldn t have brought my mom and dad! Not that they are stuffy people or anything it was just the likes of hair bands doing WHAT THEY DID in the 80′s up on a stage and at times that made me well … a bit uncomfortable sitting next to my mom and dad LOL. I know some people have different moms and dads for example, I know Sarah s parents would have enjoyed it along with me. Just be forewarned this one is a mite racy. Sarah liked it but not as much as me. Anyway, I ve never reviewed a play before and I just wanted to get the word out that this made me laugh smile and … uh … look for a good time with my wife ;) Below is their Youtube AD for the show now running. You should try and make it down if it sounds up your alley. It s great but not for everyone and certainly not for kids.

The plot was interesting but not what would add to the theme. However, the theme (music of the 80s) was great. Perhaps a little more focus on bringing the song or instruments to the front of the stage not to overplay the plot but to reinforce it would have been more appealing. It was a good show and I would recommend it especially my younger relatives born between 1957 - 1963 era.

This was my first play I have been to. I must say I was blown away how good the play was. It had great humor and a good story plot. The songs and the story line were intertwining so masterfully. I was amazed how well the group sang together and the solo parts were great to. The performers had great energy and the scene was constantly changing and entertaining. I liked it so much I would recommend this to friends and family to see it. As I wrote at the top this is my first show so I will give it 4 out of 5 stars because I cannot compare it to other show yet.

This show brought me back to my youth! Constantine did a great job. Believe me when I say "cheesy" I mean it in the best way! I could almost get a hint of someone burning blocks of cheddar WITH A BLOWTORCH! I laughed so hard that my ribs hurt leaving the theater. Comical GENIUS!!! My favorite character was the "gay" German. :D Arrive ON TIME! It's hilarious from the very start!

An absolutely fantastic show! You'll recognize and sing along with every song. Beautiful stage production and design. Brings back lots of memories of the time and place (Sunset Strip club scene). All cast members were pitch-perfect. The "band" is terrific, too. A standard boy-meets-girl script with plenty of humor. A most excellent "concert" experience!

This show was so different then what I expected and SSOOO much better than I would have thought! e had such a great time and Constantine has a phenomenal voice!! I am thrilled that he was part of the traveling tour! Cant wait to see it again! My only regret was that we should have stuck around after the show, heard the cast came out to sign autographs and take pictures. Oh well, next time for sure! \\m/ d(><)b \\m/ (Wish BCPA would get their act together as far as sound though! Had a really hard time hearing the talking parts! Had a worse time at Cats last month. Seems to be a problem at the theater BOT with the shows!)

performers were not able to connect with the audience.. and it got boring at times in between. i'd say this show would had been great at half the price I had to pay but at the full price it was really not worth it!

I absolutely love rock of ages and cannot wait to go back and see it again this time without my children. It is included on the list for things to do with children in Las Vegas and multiple people told me it was OK for children over five. It is not OK. Do not bring your children!

Rock of Ages was very entertaining. Cast tried hard. Lead female excellent voice and dancing ability. Lead male voice not quite as good, but he tried hard. The young German character was hilarious.

I was unaware that it was a musical, which is not really the type of show I would want to go see. Still, for what it was, I thought the singing and choreography was ok.

This show takes the cake! If you enjoy 80's fad, 80's references, 80's rock music and good times, this show is the Mack daddy. My wife and I have attended it TWICE now and have sat in the exact same seats! Not a bad seat in the house but we like it somewhere in the middle. Plenty of laughs, great vocals from the actors and awesome music and dance! Next time we do Vegas, we will do it again. LOVE the trip down memory lane!

The show was a complete retro-party that litterally took me back to the 80"s. For a few hours I was 20 years old again.

I enjoyed the show, but wasn't wowed. The adult content was throughout the show, and yet parents brought young children in. I wished that they had done more songs that I recognized from that era. Like at one point, they played a few notes of "The Final Countdown", but not the song. That happened several times, I would want to hear more, but it was only a snippet. The male lead was by far a better voice and performer than the female the night we went. The impact was that I found myself concentrating on when the female lead would hit another flat note, rather than the overall show.

This is a great, energizing performance! While it is pretty much just non-stop Rock music and debauchary, there is a stroy line and good does prevail over evil! No chance of dozing off on this one!

This play was very good. The best part of it was the music of course, but there was a cute story line to it as well. I really enjoyed it myself and so did my boyfriend. This was his first Broadway play.
