Just discovered these guys and bought every album. They've got a style all their own and flaunt it.Jamie's guitar work is singularly unique. The chemistry onstage is that of deep and total love for each other, the music and the audience.

The energy and excitement for the 10th Anniversary was phenomenal. The anticipation for this show was well fulfilled! When Allison came out and sang with Jeff Brotherhood, it set the tone for the night. Jamie and Allison put on an unforgettable show. From Lollapalooza to a sold out venue performance, The Kills never fails!

I've been obsessed with The Horrors ever since the first EP came out, but as alomst everybody else, my jaw dropped with their new album, Primary Colours, so i was very excited to hear they would be coming, and especially to my favorite venue, the Music Box. I like the kills a lot, but i honestly went to the show for the horrors. They were amazing, as expected, great players live, sound was great. I'm in love with the new album but it was kind of a dissapointment that they did not play a single song from previous albums. I was really looking forward to hearing a live Sheena is a Parasite, or Count in Fives, but no, only the new album. Which is not bad because it's amazing, but did miss a couple of songs. The Kills were the headliners and i do have to admit, they put on a great show, they were much more confident than the horrors, which are actually all pretty young guys and you can tell. They're not at their peak, performance wise, but they'll get there. Awesome show.

Alison Mosshart is a tour de force. She has one of the greatest stage presences I've ever seen and you just know she's having a blast up there. I'll never forget the moment the curtain closed and everyone just stood there reeling. I had a huge grin on my face, turned at the exact same moment as the stranger next to me who had huge grin on his face. We just grinned at each other for a moment, knowing we had just seen something great.

Alison was her usual high energy self, dancing around the stage like the rock star she is, attempting to break the mic stand, taking a turn on the guitar and the drums. Jamie appears to be fully recovered and better than ever. They move through their songs quickly, which means MORE MUSIC. We bought our tickets the day of, due to possible schedule conflicts and were disappointed in the low energy of the balcony crowd. People sitting down, surfing facebook, buying shoes (?!), having long text conversations, standing up to take four photos with their flash on (wth) - I'm not sure if they stumbled into the show or thought there was another band or what. Strange.

Went in unsure what to expect from the Kills. I had seen high-quality concerts in which the energy between Jamie and Alison was incomparable, but I wasn't sure if we'd see it in Boston. Luckily, they were awesome, and the chemistry was there. The music was fantastic live, and the sound embraced the audience. Wish I could easily see them again!

Where to begin. This concert was so amazing. I got to the venue a little early, around 5pm. Around 6pm, Jamie and Alison came outside and were taking pictures. Then, later they walked up the street. Jamie is an incredible guitar player. And, Alison. Wow! Trying to watch the two of them was a feat in itself. The way Alison moves around. The crowd was really into the show, and afterwards, people said this show was the best one they've seen yet. Better than The Kills second show at Warsaw. I'm so happy I finally got to see The Kills!

One of my favourite bands but their show was really let down by really poor sound quality in the Commodore. The edgy lyrics, vocals, guitar work, and interaction between Alison and Jamie were nonexistent under the wall of extreme bass and drumming.. Very disappointing but will not be put off seeing them again in the future.

I'd never heard or seen Black Bananas before but the stole the show!!!!! They were amazing! Alison looked and moved like an X Factor version of the BB's singer.Black Bananas put the kills to shame and I had been a fan until I saw the contrast between real rock n roll and poseurs. I'm a huge Bananas fan now and I know the audience felt the same as I did because Black bananas had a much more enthusiastic response and sold out of their merch before I got the vinyl :(

Alison "VV" Mosshart and Jamie "Hotel" Vince were the greatest performers I have ever seen, period. Their chemistry, effortless cool, and grungy stage antics were incredible. The music, of course, was perfection. They were very good about interacting with the audience, as well. Alison vamped for iPhones, made eye contact, and spent a good deal of the show at the edge of the stage; Jamie, similarly, was constantly coming forward, looking at us, and engaging us in his playing. (My friends and I were front-and-center, so perhaps someone standing/sitting farther back wouldn't feel the same.) The energy in the room was unbelievable. Alison and Jamie seemed to be having a blast, and it was infectious. This was my first time seeing the Kills, but my friends had seen them two or three times before, and they said that this was the best show, hands down. I cannot recommend this enough! Some side notes: It was probably two hours or more from doors opening (8 pm) to the Kills actually playing. The opening act (Black Bananas) got on around 9, and played maybe a half hour. (They weren't very good, tbh, but they weren't offensively bad, either.) The concert was over around 12. We stayed up near the stage and were able to score some setlists and drumsticks from the roadies. One of my friends stayed until about 1:15 and was able to meet Alison. (I had to get back home, unfortunately.)

Amazing, fabulous, fantastic, etc, etc!! Pure energy oozing from Jamie's guitar and Alison's killer (pun intended) vocals. The Kills came out and gave the fans an unforgettable performance from start to the last encore song. I did not want the concert to end! And of course, we were treated a sweet bonus before the show: BP Fallon's intro to the band and asking us to sing "Happy Birthday" to The Kills celebrating their 10th Anniversary together. Fantastic!

I've seen quite a bit of headliners with opeing acts in NYC recently and this was a GREAT concert! Sometime times however opening acts could end up shadowing the main event. And although I would not say that the Hunters were better then the Kills, at least not in a musical sense, they really got the crowd going and were the best opening act I've seen in at least a year. The lead female of Hunters is fit, vivacious and moves like a wolverine on fireworks! The Kills seemed more grand with their four drummers marching on in the background. And played really good to the crowd. Terminal 5 Sat, Feb 11, 2012 one night to remember!

I am so lucky to be able to say I have seen The Kills live. They were beyond awesome. Alison was beautiful and can really belt it out live, you can feel the energy coming from her. Jamie is so talented on the guitar its an honor to watch him at his work. They played all of their best songs including some old favorites. We were lucky enough to watch Alison sing "Crazy" by Patsy Cline. I also enjoyed Jeff the Brotherhood who opened up for them. I wish I could watch them again. My only complaint was that it felt too short! But It was an amazing concert and the Kills kicked ass.

The kills rocked! Really tight performance. I would see them again and again. They played a nice long set. And a three song encore( I think, I was about 7 beers deep at that point) The only disappointment I had was that they didn't play "ALPHABET PONY" But aside From that, they had great energy and reacted to their roaring fans graciously. I wish I had had time to go to the second show. I also would liked to have seen a live drummer, but I don't think they've ever toured with one. Terminal 5 was great too. Rooftop bar for smokers, drinks were just above reasonably priced thogh. $7 for a beer. Bartenders and staff were very friendly.

Despite some technical difficulties, The Kills were amazing. This band has a great sound and an amazing energy. Lead by Vocalist Alison Mosshart, The Kills are able to keep an electric energy for the duration of their sets. Guitarist Jamie Hince is awe inspiring. Brilliant display by two talented artist. It never fails to wow, when two individuals can create on stage what often times five or more people can not achieve. A definite must see for all Rock fans. Despite the heavy security and most thorough search (I thought they were going to ask to search body cavities there) The Fox Theatre is a wonder venue to see Rock bands. The sound is excellent and pretty much a great view from anywhere (including the balcony). The opening band 'Cold Cave' left me... well... cold. I saw them open for The Kills the night before at the Music Box in Hollywood. Their first 2-3 songs were quite good, despite the singer sounding a lot like Robert Smith (The Cure). After that it was just more of the same. Next came 'The Black Angels.' My favorite of the night and my favorite contemporary Psych/Rock band. I am a 35+ year fan of The Velvet Underground and thought no one was ever going to match their power and influence on rock music until I heard TBA. In fact, I went to see them headline 5/15 (the next night) at The El Rey. I stayed after to meet the band, and they are as friendly as they are phenomenal performers and amazing musicians. I just can't get enough of this band. I have seen 'The Kills' many times. They never fail to deliver. I love the new LP 'Blood Pressures' and to see those songs come alive is amazing. That being said, I would have to say that, for my money, it was 'The Black Angels' who stole the show. (Sorry VV and Hotel). TBA are a band not to be missed. They are going to blow up and be huge very soon so check them out!

The Kills were just brilliant live, but let's talk first about the sucky part of this concert and then off to the good moments. The show was supposed to start at 8pm, The Kills started playing around 11pm and had 2 opening acts before the show. After waiting for so long, they started playing that's when it got crazy. Wasted people got stupid and started pushing non stop and making fights with others. It got to a point where I had to move so I could enjoy the show in peace. Now to the good part, the whole show was amazing. Alison moves around the stage rocking out while Jamie plays brilliantly. This duo is the best I've seen in a while. So I guess what I'm saying is, go see them live!!

These two seem to go together so well, why aren't they legally married? Loved the show, but why on earth didn't they perform "What New York Used to Be" while playing in NYC? After 15 years and several amazing albums, why aren't The Kills bigger than they are?! That's what I asked myself when I left Terminal 5 last Friday evening after seeing them live for the first time. Prior to that, I was only familiar with a couple of songs from their last two albums (Blood Pressures and Fire & Ice) that my 24-year-old son introduced me to (I'm 56). So to say I went in with low expectations is a gross understatement. Man was I blown away. Alison Mosshart and Jamie Hince own the stage with rowdy confidence. Alison, with her wild mane of (newly) blonde hair and willowy, gyrating frame, oozes a combination of sexy playfulness and raw aggression, while Jamie attacks his ax with gleeful abandon (a grin rarely leaves his face) - one of the most commanding guitar performances I've seen in some time, especially impressive since I understand he recently had to re-learn how to play following numerous hand surgeries. The show was tempestuous and the packed venue of screaming fans rapturous. Do yourself a favor and catch The Kills next time they come around. You will not be disappointed.

Oh my word. I can't encapsulate how fun this show was in words. I'm still recovering from the intensity of this duo and their band. Even watching Alison perform online is transfixing, so you can imagine them playing live. So crazy to picture either of them ever getting nervous, as they've said they do before every show...I can picture myself vomiting back stage, but not these forces of nature. Glad they are getting more recognition.

The Kills have been one of my favourite bands for...ever & they did not disappoint. In fact, they exceeded my every dream of how amazing a concert could be. I was right up front on Alison's side & she has such an amazing stage presence & her interaction with the crowd is unforgettable. Alison sat on the speaker right in front of my friend & almost hit her with her guitar hehee. She sang right into my camera. She knelt down & stared at my friend & I during the opening to the Last Goodbye. Jamie & Alison's interactions with one another were the greatest. & Jamie's whole being exudes perfection. After the concert, my friend & I were able to meet Alison & she is the absolute sweetest gal. She was so interested in what her fans had to say & was patient & not in a rush to get going to the bus. I am sooooo grateful to have had this experience. Happy 10 years VV & Hotel! Here's to many, many more!

This band is an enigma that works: a hard-driving, scuzzy punk/blues/hard rock duo that dispenses with a rhythm section in favor of drum tracks...yet manages to be completely visceral and real...and which surprised me by layering on a quartet of drummers and two backup singers for their performance. The overall effect is a completely entertaining, wall-of-sound experience. These are fantastic live performers, and they put on a memorable show Saturday night at Terminal 5. I've seen Alison Mosshart front the Dead Weather on several occasions (also unforgettable). Somehow she seems to be having more fun when she's singing with The Kills, maybe because this time her hair was up -- way, way up -- out of her face, so you could see her smile. She absolutely leaves everything on the stage every time. Jamie Hince carves skillful sonic landscapes, often frantically thumbing a machine-gun baseline while carrying melodies with the rest of the fingers on his right hand (nice to have high-def monitors throughout the venue for this kind of detail). Overall, a great show. Can't wait to see them again.

The opening acts were a great lead up. The Kills were fantastic. It was incredible seeing them in person and they were as fantastic live as everyone said they would be. It was an incredible night and worth all the travel time it took me to get there. And everything started when it was supposed to. That was great. the venue had a really great vibe too! Classy place!

Jamie Hince is such a great guitarist , who often gets over shadowed by his dynamic partner Alison Mosshart, who at times could be described as a caged lioness. Tonight Jamie really showed us he has got it the complete package. Showman and an amazing musician, as usual Alison Mosshart with all her energy and wild hair was enthralling. The Kills are such an intriguing band to watch !

Jamie was killing it on the guitar (even playing riffs using the mic stand to hold down his frets, badass), Alison was an amazing performer as usual (with pink dyed hair this time!) The encore was great and extended a lot longer than most acts usually do, in a good way, because we just couldn't get enough

Having been an Kills fan in every sense of the word having friends send me bootlegs from the UK, seen every show performed within 200 miles of me, I have to say I was really disappointed in this show. The Kills have gone Hollywood, everything was glam, Jamie's music was pristine and boring -- none of the character it once had, and Alison looked as if she was doing a parody of herself. I was always blown away because she looked possessed by the goddesses of rock. Now she just looked like the girl who plays Alison in the movie adaptation. I want my band that used to play in front of a handful of people, who were rough, and from the street, not the made-for-TV version. What happened?

I would recommend not only The Kills but also the venue. Small enough that you felt like a part of the experience but big enough that the excitement was palpable.

Great performance by the band as expected. The venue was nice and small but there was a little raised platform from the stage to about halfway into the room. Anyone in the back half of the room probably had trouble seeing.

I'm not as familiar with their latest album Blood Pressures as I am with Midnight Boom and No Wow so the first 30mins or so were characterized by passive appreciation on my part but things really started to pick up once they played U.R.A. fever. The crowd got really enthusiastic and I found my mind was being increasingly more blown lol. I nearly cried when Mosshart sang "Crazy" by Patsy Cline. It was too beautiful and added an extra level of awesome to an already incredible concert.

This band was definitely a lot better than I thought they would be. They tore the roof off of the place. The guitarist is definitely one of the heaviest out there. Allison Mosshart is without a question, one of the sexiest and talented performers out there. The Kills killed it!

I like this band out of the studio but was not one bit impressed with The Kills live. They were a little better then the 2 acts that they followed but that is not saying much at all. Too bad Jack White did not grab a guitar and come out because he was there. The drummers (if you could call them that) could have been myself and anyone else in the crowd. It was comical to see them with their bandannas. The lack of enthusiasm of the crowd did not help but it would not have mattered much. The Kills? Not so much.
