Two of my favorite bands from the 80's and 90's Dokken and Queensryche were fantastic. Queensryche's Dual leads were awesome playing many of their signature songs. Dokken was also superb. Don Dokken's vocals were as good as when the band first came on the music scene. Dokken's great guitar playing did not disappoint . Playing some of my all time favorite songs. To have both these bands on the same line up was awesome enough, but bonus bands Lita Ford and Down Trend were very good as well. Lita Ford surprised me . . .In the younger days I always saw her as a wild rock girl, but she has matured as a beautiful woman with a good heart. She shared a story of a song she wrote for her mom who was ill. I was touched by her compassion for her mom and that put a total different spin on my perception of her. If my mom were still alive, Lita Ford is now "the kind of girl" I would take home to meet mom. This was a memorable and great concert with great bands. So glad I got tickets and was there.

It was fantastic from start to finish. From the opening notes of "Best I Can" to the last notes of "Eyes Of A Stranger" Queensryche delivered. They were energized and ready to rock. My wife said she couldn't believe how good they were. Everyone was singing.

Great song selections, though really miss hearing 'Another Rainy Night. The sound guy should be fired! Bass drums was turned up to the point of distortion and the music drowned out the vocals. They used backing tracks and vocals throughout the show, but I still enjoyed it. Todd La Torre hits the notes and if you didn't know Geoff Tate was gone, you couldn't tell the difference!

Great show by Queensryche - I have seen them many times since the eighties and they never disappoint. I don't think Geoff Tate has ever hit a bad note in his life. This tour featured material from three albums, I wasn't familiar with the new military -themed CD but loved hearing the older music that doesn't get played too often. I would love to catch them again the next time they come around - just amazing musicians.

Queensryche was excellent in concert! 2+ hours of playing with very little breaks between songs. Every song sounded amazing. Geoff's voice is excellent! One of the most impressive concerts that we've been to. Some people complained at the concert due to a third of the songs coming from their new American Soldier album. Apparently those people did not read the name of the concert. The concert was advertized as music from three specific albums. The complainers were wanting music from other albums. I can't wait for another opportunity to see Queensryche!

This is a band worth the money. In fact, they are very reasonable with what they charge for a ticket. I wasn't thrilled at first to know they were going to do a whole bunch of the new songs, but it was really good. I've seen about 15 times now and I always leave saying that I had a blast. They are coming back to Jersey in October and once again I'll be there.

Excellent, close-up venue. Band was outstanding, but I was very disappointed they didn't play "Silent Lucidity" since it's one of their best songs and few ballads. Recommend sending this survey sooner, rather than 2 months after the concert.

I remember seeing Queensryche back in the 80's when I was a teenager. They were fantastic then and they are even better now. Geoff's voice, stage performance, and interaction witht the crowd is still amazing. This band still cares about there fans and makes sure they get every pennies worth.

Best Queensrÿche concert I've seen in many years! Todd LaTorre is a fantastic addition to the band. Their set consisted of stuff from the new album and everything else was from Empire or earlier. It was great to hear all these classic songs played live again.

First time at the ballroom and also first time for Queensryche.may not have been the original band, but they still rocked it. my only complaint what is the lead singers mike wasn't as loud as the music. Kind of hard to hear him, but other than that, it was a great show.and also with it being at the Casino ballroom, the band is right in front of you. I even got to touch one of them, which really helped make the experience more awesome. Would definitely see them again.

By far these guys amazed me. The energy of this band was just as remembered. The younger musicians followed the path the energy the spirit of what the bands is all about. Can't say enough.... The venue was a bit unorganized but did a great job considering the venue is new. The location was really cool the casino was located in seemed like the boonies but only 25 mins from my house AWESOME EXPERIENCE..

Our hour and half drive to Casino Pauma was well worth it. Geoff Tate and Queensryche put on an awesome show for their 25th anniversary. I've read on facebook recently that this group was full of hate and ire towards the other Queensryche group. Nothing could be farther from the truth, as far as we could see. All that was apparent to us was love for the audience and total enjoyment in the performances on stage and by the people in the audience. It was a wonderful show, and we are so glad we went. Wish we could have followed them on to Seattle for their hometown show the next night.

Queensryche put on an amazing show. Operation Mindcrime in its entirety was incredible and they came back out to do like a 6 song encore. Unfortunately, the sound at the Chameleon Club is so bad that I feel like I've damaged my hearing. So my thoughts, See Queensryche.....but do it somewhere else.

I love Queensryche... the first 5 albums anyway. I have had tickets to see them in the past and never got to the shows, so I was excited to go this time--especially in light of hearing the entire Mindcrime album. Sound Wilbur theater may be partially to blame, the acoustics were bad-- a lot of resonant noise bouncing. But the band should shoulder some of that: bass was almost inaudible, the guitars were set at the same level for every song, and the drums tended to over power. Geoff Tate is not hitting all the notes album style; although he is still an amazing vocalist, I was disappointed at the lack of dynamics on more than a few tunes. Despite the many mics on stage there was little in the way of back vocals. There was something missing from the "voicing" of the lead guitar as well... sound, effect, couldn't put my finger on it. Show They did a great job at performance: Rudy Sarzo was fun to watch as always. They had a blonde come out and sing on Suite Sister Mary--good vocal. Loved that they played the entire album; I always liked that about this band. Disappointing that they only played songs off Empire and MindCrime... no Rage, no Warning, no EP. And one song off some album I never bought--American something or other... The drummer did a 7 minute solo...2 of those minutes were without sticks. He's good for sure. Long solos bore me, but people who like them will be impressed--the guy has chops. I am interested to see how the other Queensryche does in light of this show... I was always a big fan of Tate's vocals, but if they are going to strip all of the flavor and dynamics out of the songs I'm going to see how the other guys fair without him.

I ended up enjoying this show even more than I had expected to. I've seen Queensryche (the original line up) several times, and wanted to see how this version compared...I was not disappointed. Geoff Tate sounded great, and Rudy Sarzo played his ass off! Operation: Mindcrime sounded amazing from start to finish! My only complaint would be that they didn't play anything off "Rage For Order", but other than that, it was a tight show!

Ok guys and gals, here is my review of last nights show at the Wildhorse Saloon in Nashville TN. In short....AWESOME. Starting from the beginning...I was able to purchase meet and greet tickets for the first time in the 25 years I have been going to see the band live. I was a little unsure of how the M&G would go. I have to say that I was disappointed when I found out it was really just a photo op, but it is called meet and greet not meet and hang out and chat about the state of metal LOL. Saying this though the band was completely gracious to everyone there. All smiles and they seemed genuinely happy to be there in that moment for the fans. They were extremely nice and welcoming. I so wanted to sit and talk with them but hey. Now onto the show itself. All I have to say is if Todd can sing that well while sick then OMG I can't wait until they tour with the new album so he can blow everyone away. Todd and the rest of the boys were on fire and you could see and feel the positive energy that radiated off of them. Todd kept apologizing that he wasn't able to bring his A game, but I have to say he was still amazing. I was thoroughly impressed. They stuck exclusively to the first 4 albums with the majority going to the Warning album. Every song was spot on musically and Whip and Parker played off each other like they had been together for many years. I admit I loved Chris DeGarmo but I think Parker is doing a fine job. Scott and Eddie both were top notch as always. Now I am not going to sit here and debate the whole Geoff Tate debacle. I loved Geoff's voice (notice the past tense used here) all through the 80's and early 90's. I have seen the band every time they have been in Nashville and I have personally seen the decline of the band I love. IMO I did not like the direction the band went after Promised Land and went from loving every track on the CD's to barely liking even one on the last few. Remember this is MY opinion. I still went to the shows though hoping for a set list of oldies but sadly Geoff refused to sing what made him famous. Granted Geoff still has beautiful tone and pitch but sadly has lost a good deal of range. This combined with his attitude and musical direction has totally turned me off. Exit Geoff enter Todd. Todd has been a breath of sorely needed fresh air that has brought a once great band that was in danger of sliding off into obscurity back from certain death. The renewed energy and and feel of the band is infectious and welcome. They have given me high expectations for the new album release and it has been a LONG time since I was this eager for a new Queensryche album. Well that all being said Long Live The Ryche and rock on. \\m/ \\m/

Was disappointed that Geoff Tate was not in the band anymore and that the set did not include the entire Operation Mindcrime album like I read on Blabbermouth.Net Never believe what you read on the Internet! The new singer screamed the lyrics and had so much reverb and soundboard help you could not help but notice he was struggling. I know he was sick but so was that set. Half of the songs most folks never heard or care to hear again. I doubt I'd see them again with this new singer and song selections but who knows. If they did Mindcrime I prolly would. The good news is they sang some good songs like Take Hold of the Flame, Queen of the Ryche, etc.. They just did not sing them well and not sure if that's because he was sick or not.

I didn't know who was going to show up. Now there appears to be 2 Queensryche bands going around. One with Geoff Tate and one with the three remaining members. This show was the one with the three remaining members. They rocked hard playing a lot of the old songs and I was fairly impressed by the new singer Todd who had a similar sound to Geoff will a little of his own in there. If your a Queensryche fan you won't be disappointed with this line-up and sound, can't wait for the new CD. They should iron out the lawsuit and let one or the other use the name. Geoff Tate has made a name for himself and should tour under his own name but be able to play all the Queensryche songs he help make great. I'll see his band also when they come around.

I have been going to QR concerts for quite a while and well they have been getting worse and worse... I decided not to go to the Caberet tour only because of an injury.. From what I have heard the only reason to go was to watch the scantily clad ladies and just watch Geoffs gyrations... Glad I missed that one. I heard that GT was fired and that the band had hired Todd for the vocals... I was on the fence even after watching several youtube videos online.. Well let me tell you that if you like having the hair on the back of your neck then the opener of Queen of the Ryche will have it standing again.. Want goose bumps wait for The Warning.. Want chills, well Take hold comes to mind.. Want to relive those under the influence moments, Roads to Madness come to mind.. Yeah the FULL version ... Want to watch the dragon burn... The Needle Lies... Oh for those that are waiting for anything from Empire, Todd and the band did that justice too. If you are on the fence and wondering if you should go or not... Go and have a beer and raise it high while you are rocking out to what us long time fans have been missing. Hearing songs performed like they should be... The band looked like they were once again having fun performing as a band instead of a back up to Geoff I Just wish Geoff didnt go off the deep end mentally let his wife take hold and would have taken care of his voice... Funny how in the early years he was a perfectionist while performing live and now its just a lousy lounge act. Yep put me down for a Todd supporter.. He sang his A_S off and is a very welcome shot of viagara to the band. Yep they are standing tall and proud once again!!!!

Was a good show for the most point, Queensryche was amazing even without the services of Geoff Tate and Chris D. Dokken on the other hand sounded Terrible, Don Dokken had little to no voice. After over 30 years in the business, Queensryche still has what it takes. Sure it's not all of the original members but it doesn't rally matter. Geoff Tate still has one of the best voices in the business. They played for around 1.5 hrs with no opening band and it was still definitely worth it. Queensryche are fast becoming my favorite live act. They play with the energy of a young band, they don't engage in self-indulgent solos, and the new material (which has gotten generally poor reviews) sounds much better live. Geoff Tate is a great front man, and still has the voice. BTW, the directions on the Wheeling Island website send you to the employee parking lot.

Queensryche has long been one of my favorite bands from the 80's. They have a sound that is timeless and mysterious. Their performance at Revolution in Ft. Lauderdale was spectacular - even better than I could have imagined. They have not lost any of their talent or stage presence, and Jeff Tate's voice is just as good as it ever was. Great show. Awesome set list, they played stuff all the way back to The Lady Wore Black (and NM-156, Screaming in Digital, Take Hold of the Flame, I Don't Believe in Love, Walk in the Shadows). They only payed two songs off the new album, that was a good thing. Only two things bothered me. Not enough people showed up to support the band, and welcome Whip home, but I can understand it a little because it was a Sunday. The other thing is, because they didn't sell enough tickets, The Regency closed of the balcony seats. I took my 11 year old son to this show, with one reason being we could sit down. That way he could see better and his leg's wouldn't get tired. He was a trooper though and had a great time. I have about 170 good pix on my facebook page. Can't wait for their next show in SF.

This is the official Queensryche with Todd LaTorre at vocals, Parker Lundgren at guitar and original founding members Michael "WHIP"Wilton at lead guitar, Eddie "EdBass"Jackson at bass and Scott Rockenfeild at drums. Scott is on paternity leave at the moment and Casey Grillo from Kamelot is doing an excellent job filling in. Excellent show and a must see for any Queensryche fan or any fan of 80's to early 90's rock, hard rock and prog music. This is the official Queensryche with 3active members of the original 4 founding members. The 4th original band founder was Chris Degarmo who retired from the band in the late 90's. The past singer Geoff Tate, which the founding members hired to sing on their 1st EP and join the band thereafter is no longer in the band replaced by Todd Latorre about 4 years ago. Todd LaTorre is a much welcomed addition to the band which enables Queensryche to once again play their full catalogue of songs which Todd has the ability to nail every note. Since Todd joined the band has released 2 albums and a 3rd expected in spring if 2018. Their new albums are a must buy. It's a continuation of the sound and technique they employed from the 80's until the early 90's when their music was at its best. It was great seeing Todd pounding on the skins at the end of the concert since he is a multi talented musician and was always a drummer first and foremost. It's great he is also a very talented vocalist and has the vocal ability to sing the difficult range of Queensryches first 5 albums and the 2 put out since Todd joined as frontman. These guys are a class act and true gentlemen. You see a Queensryche show and think it was the best ever only to be surpassed the next time you see them. Queensryche is a must see show, you won't be disappointed. Opening band was Skid Row whom I didn't see in over 2 decades and 1st time with their incredibly talented new singer. They put on a top notch show. Combined with QUEENSRYCHE it was surely a night to remember. Killer show !!!!

I ve been a fan of Queensryche for 30 years and they are better than ever before. They may not draw the same amount of people that they did in the 90 s but that only makes the experience more intimate. Todd LaTorre is amazing and is a powerful metal voice. First time seeing either Dokken or Queensryche and it was great seeing both! I was a little worried about Q having a new singer but he did an awesome job with the old hits. Disappointed in the turnout of my fellow South Florida fans, but Iron Maiden was here 2 days prior, so I gues it's understandable. Eddie was gracious and posed for pictures with us, what a pro! Great show, I would go again!

I am a huge fan of the band and seen them 25 times now (3 with new singer) and Todd La Torre has brought in a new life to the band and is amazing on stage. You get to hear old songs that the band has stopped playing through the years and new ones as well. Even after all these years the other band mates play flawless and have fun doing it. Truse me, if you havent seen theband recently. Do so when u can...

I was blown away by the performance. New frontman Todd Lattore has reignited the Ryche!!! Hearing the old classics being performed flawlessly was a pleasure. This was one of the best shows I've seen in a long time and the BEST that I have seen Queensryche. Scott,Parker,Eddie and Whip were as tight as ever. Looking forward to the new album.

As you may know, Geoff Tate is no longer touring with this version of the Queensryche band anymore. I have seen QR over 50 times in my life since the 1980's. QR has come to Las Vegas once or twice a year for quite some time, normally playing at the House Of Blues. Their shows are always great. I actually saw their farewell show at the HOB with Geoff Tate in August. So when I got tickets to see the "New/Other" Queensryche at the Eastside Cannery Hotel & Casino on 10/11/2014, I was a little skeptical. I had seen a few YouTube vids of the other QR, and they seemed pretty good. The new band (that I saw) is made up of Todd LaTorre (new singer), Eddie Jackson, Parker Lundgren, Scott Rockenfield and Michael Wilton. They apparently fired Geoff Tate and bought the rights to the QR name and their entire catalog of songs. Evidently Geoff Tate formed a new band called Operation Mindcrime, and did end up with the rights to play some of the old QR songs in concert from this point on. So blah, blah, blah.... that's the politics about what is going on. So now to the music of the "new" QR I saw on Saturday. Long story short, they were GREAT! New singer guy Todd was remarkable. He hits all the high notes Geoff Tate was known for, and in many instances does so better than Geoff! The band was also GREAT! The leads were spot-on, and overall sound of the act was very Queensryche-ish. They played most of the QR hits, plus a lot of real old, classic and obscure QR songs, which I enjoyed. I give them 2 thumbs up, 5 Stars, totally great job overall. I would definitely recommend this show to any QR fans. You wont be disappointed.

If you are a Queensryche fan, you will love this show. Although the band has split up, it is Geoff Tate's voice that makes Queensryche. They mainly stuck with songs from Mindcrime and Empire but they rocked them! They were one of my favorite bands in the late 80's and I saw them back then at least 10 times. This show totally brought back memories of all those great shows. Center Stage was a great place to see them as well. It is small and personal. I got to walk up to 3rd row with no problem to see them rock up close. Great venue, Great band. Totally recommend catching them while you can.

Simply put, "This is the Real Deal" when it comes to Queensryche. Todd LaTorre did not disappoint in his performance on 4/17/2014, he owns his presentation and respects what Jeffery Wayne Tate once was able to do, Todd does hit the High Notes without the band having to down-tune the songs. Whip, SRock & EdBass appeared to be having fun on stage once again! Parker delivers with QR Sound and Style for the music he is playing. If you are a FAN of Queensryche, and wish to hear from the early catalog, this is the Queensryche you want to see. But soon enough there will be an announcement regarding the Court Settlement and there will be ONLY 1 Queensryche once again. Soon JWT will be on his own with his Band of All-Stars.... and wish him the best of luck and remember him for the voice he once was!

I had read reviews, so I kinda knew what to expect. If you go expecting Geoff Tate's voice in his prime, you will be VERY disappointed! But if you understand that time has taken it's toll on his upper range and go along for the ride, it will be a very good show. His low/mid range is still very strong. And his band is actually FANTASTIC!! Some great, seasoned performers executing Mindcrime and songs off Empire nearly flawlessly! BIG props to their keyboard player who, along with background vocals, triggers all of the soundbites and segues perfectly. Background vocals from the whole band were great also! The only criticism (besides Tate's range) is the choice of Sass Jordan to sing the Sister Mary parts of Mindcrime. She could not hit the high notes either. Why would you choose someone to perform those parts who cannot sing them after dumping someone who can? (Nina Noir) Suite Sister Mary is an epic highlight of the album and story, so it deserves much more respect, IMHO. Overall, it was a good show and I'm glad I went. But I was secretly hoping for better from Tate.

Look we all know Geoff Tate has an amazing range, one of the best in Metal. He hasn't lost one nanometer of range and he's amazing. But its also his performance....the emotion he puts behind EVERY word. It had been since the show at the Colorado state fair in pueblo that I last had a RYCHE fix and way over due. Upon entering the Ogden an energy force could be felt throughout. It was strong, positive and ready to blow. After shopping at the tour goods booth my guest and I worked our way down to the floor in front of the stage and the atmospheric radiating from the fans was so warm and friendly. I have always admired the diversity found at Queensryche shows, Their music is enjoyed by many generations and the band members them selves feed off of what they offer us. Window pane opened for them and i was very impressed with them and that they were too from Seattle. They were energetic and music wise, fit well as an opening act. Then the pot boiled over. The Ryche members came on stage like I've never seen them before. Geoff looked 10 years younger, he and the rest of the band played hard, strong and flawlessly. they had more energy than I've seen of them at opening tour shows. the set list was well put together to compliment their outstanding 30 years of delivering one album after another of solid food for the soul, melodies penetrating our minds and words that have warned, healed, brought back to life and helped create life in the hearts of all that have had the honor to share with them this musical journey they lead so well

The opening band Windowpane has the intensity of Buckcherry mixed with Nirvana. A good contributor could be because (like Queensryche) they are from Seattle. Queensryche gave the same intensity they displayed when they started 30 years ago in 1981 and these guys show no signs of ever slowing down! After a NINETEEN song set they looked like they were ready to continue! As a long time Queensryche fan I highly recommend this concert to anyone!

I have seen Queensryche a few times, the first being Mindcrime . The band is as tight as ever , even with new members. The show was a land mark of 30 years of Queensryche the only reson it is three stars is the focus on new material, I know this is a reason for touring. Although the songs were okay, with the 30 year mark ,I wish they would have done more older material. They did break out "The Lady wore black". The crowd sang along to songs off ,Empire and Mindcrime. A good show , could have been better, 3 1/2 stars Rock on ,Ant

The show opened with a new song, "Get Started", that really pumped the audience up! You could really tell the guys were enjoying the set list. They were really energetic, and Ed was really grooving on his bass. They played a lot of fan favorites, uncluding "Walk in the Shadows". Geoff was really pulling the audience into his energy. Some people have been a bit cold on their latest release. For those, don't worry. This tour only has 3 songs from it, but they get the audience involved. The crowd really got into All Around the World much more than I expected. It was fantastic! If you get a chance to see them when they have the Voodoos opening for them, don't miss it! These kids are great too!

tesla was great sound was'nt, queensryche great sound, great playing, poor song selection on there part. tired of going to shows with two major bands and watching the opening acts treated like its there first time on the stage, i paid for tesla, queensryche was a bonus to me, but i feel that i did not get my money's worth with the crappy sound that came out of the pa, and i state this from the point of a sound engineer that owns his own sound company.

Both bands put on a very good performance. Personally I liked Tesla better because their show was good old rocking music without any drama and props. Queensryche's performance was very good too, but I found the extra personnel distracting. They had some girls dancing, a team of drummers on the stage and a person dressed like a Native American doing the rain dance at one point. I wish they would just play their music without all that drama, but that's what artists do sometimes. Overall, this was a very good show and I am glad that Tesla was there to offset the emotional side of Queensryche.

So like most I was a little worried about how this whole Cabaret show thing would work with Queensryche but it's safe to say it was nothing short of phenomenal. The whole cabaret thing does nothing to detract from the music and gives some extra eye candy and entertainment to the show after the last tour which was pretty cut and dry. The setlist was by far the best I've seen in years forgoing most of the usual stuff that they play every time. Instead we got a setlist that sounded fresh as it was filled with obscure gems that I know i've always wanted to hear live. And of course a few hits were thrown in as well to please other less die-hard fans. All in all this was an A+ show in my book and everyone I was with agrees

I thought the cabaret was going to be erotic and interesting, unfortunately it was a major distraction. Geoff turned the concert in to a Broadway circus, and it pushed aside the music. They played very few of their great songs, crowd was unimpressed. DO NOT SEE THE CABARET!

I can't believe there were only 400 people at this show. What a unique concept to play a bunch of tunes you would not be able to get away with on a normal tour. Some of the "Entertainers" were great and a few were a little scary. (The "Lady in Black" looked more like the "Drag Queen in Black.") All in all, a very cool concept and performance. I took my oldest daughter to see them and they highly disapointed me and her. Queensryche was awesome!! Only complaints were being in the VIP (balcony section) and having someone in the front row of the balcony standing up through the ENTIRE concert...are you kidding me? No opener, just right into an amazing show with a story. At least it felt like there was a story. The artists (not the band) were very good, especially the aerial artists such as the ring girls and the ribbon climber. The Gwen Stefani looking chic was smoking too. Could have played a few more older songs (where was Empire?) as well as more motivation to rock (strictly restricted to seats) Jet City Woman was the highlight if the show.

OK - so I know that Queensryche has been doing theatrical stage performances for years - Mindcrime...Promised Land...etc., but this was painful. The set list was pretty poor with them only playing a few popular songs. Fortunately, Promised Land was one of my favorite CDs and there were a few songs from there, couple songs from Empire, lots of stuff I didn't know, which would have been ok except Geoff spent too much time talking about nothing - I guess to fill the time since there wasn't going to be an encore. The place was EMPTY. I have never been to the Nokia Theatre but the venue itself is incredible. We had VIP seats upstairs, which gets you access to the incredible bar/lounge they have there. Eventually, we wandered downstairs and walked right up to the front row. The security guards wouldn't let anyone stand up or be anywhere near the railing in front of the stage - probably the most strict I have ever seen at any concert. The "Meet and Greet" line afterwards...4 people...has Queensryche basically fallen off the map? There seemed to be almost no interest and this is Los Angeles for cryin out loud. I've seen bigger crowds at the Whiskey for an unknown band.
