FIDLAR

FIDLAR IN CONCERT: For a non-stop onslaught of manic punk shenanigans, surfer weirdos FIDLAR are hard to beat. Thrashing around the stage with an infectious no-holds-barred performance style, the members have a dramatic flair for reckless abandon while they play. If you’re looking for a heart-pounding thrill set to a high-octane beat, Fidlar is right up your alley, but the experience is definitely not for the faint of heart. Audience members looking to mosh can get sucked into the riptide of their surf-punk mayhem, but even ticket buyers who stay out of the pit will be treated to a show they’ll never forget.

First and foremost, the Fillmore in SF is a classic. I love catching gigs there. I feel like part of history. The space is nice, not too big, not too small. The stage is a nice height for the space. This is my third or fourth time catching Fidlar in concert. They are still great. A lot of fun. I am happy they kept that young punk energy I loved from their first album into their sophomore. I dig their relaxed and free spirited stage presents. I personally, wished they could have played a bit longer but punk songs are short and sweet and I understand it's tiring to do it night after night. The mosh pit was a great atmosphere even though most of it's inhabitants were probably not even born when I first started going to punk shows, haha. BTW, LOVED the all women mosh pit.

The entire show was awesome. Both openers were bands I didn't know but they were great. The crowd was also great

I didn't know much about Fidlar prior to the show to be honest. I came to see one of my newest favorite bands, Swmrs and was overwhelmingly excited to hear they were just as good, if not better live than on their album, Drive North. In addition, Swmrs are great to see live because it is clear they are passionate about music and life and their fans and their country, and just great vibes and a lot of love from them exuded to the crowd. The Frights were the same way in the aspect of sounding as good live as on their albums. I liked their surf-rock/punk/alternative sounds, and they really got the crowd going too. Fidlar was great and energetic, and I'd likely see them again, thought not as much my style, and didn't love all of their songs i.e. Cocaine, Rehab.

FIDLAR can kick some ass. Loud punk songs but written well enough that they will have you singing along to every tune. With songs about drugs and alcohol, its the perfect setting for getting f'ed up and partying. Venue is great, clear sight lines, all GA, upstairs balcony, reasonable drink prices. Best part is they let you go in and out as you like for a smoke....which allowed me and my buddies to run into Elvis from the band and hang out for a bit. Show was all ages and ended a little early but that didn't hinder the experience at all. In fact I enjoyed checking out the freshman collage girls and getting home at a reasonable time considering I was coming from 45 minutes away.

The show was fantastic all the artists had great energy with the crowd would totally see it again. I love coming out to the paradise rock club because it's a small venue, getting to the stage is easy and the sound of every band I've seen there has been great. A++

Simply amazing. I got there a few songs in to METZ's set, and I wish I had been there earlier because they were amazing. Such high intensity, the drummer was sick, the lights were sick, it was great. Then FIDLAR came on and that was insane. They played a lot of new songs which was really cool and they also played one really old song which is awesome. I had the most fun I've ever had at a concert there. They really show that they're having fun too which is great. During the last song, the bassist jumped into the crowd and started moshing around with us while still playing the bass part to the song. I dont know how it didnt get unplugged but whatever. I had fun.
